VISUALS. Nice visuals and design work. And super clean. Just the right amount of weird, a flashy sprinkle of wtf. I was into it. Personally for me: a challenging but not overwhelming set up. We did the Vegas Hangover. There were some irritating moments for sure, and I was terrified by my own stupidity, lol. But I was told by avid player friends in our group that the "glitches" had more to do with the composition of the game than with the screens we interacted with. Still, for a second I thought two of my friends were gonna break up over it, right there in the escape room, before we could make it out. Wtf lol. I think if you push through and get over your shit it's worth it. In the end we lost a lot of time but when we finally got into our groove there was so much sickening laughter and bonding on a different level. It was really fun and we barley made it out with 4 minutes to spare. Hahahaha. I can look back and laugh and say good times, which is what counts, and also really awesome since it was my first time and prior to my initiation I thought it might be creepy or the day that I learned I'm claustrophobic. I've done many rooms at the other escapology location and was excited to see new rooms available at their newest location. We completed both the 7 deadly sins and the Las Vegas Hangover. As with all the escapology rooms since they're a national chain, the set was built very professionally. Las Vegas Hangover: Probably my favorite out of all the escapology rooms I've ever done. Difficulty 3/5 with 4 enthusiasts. Can be completed by 2 people easily. I liked the puzzles but it was very standard and nothing novel. It was a solid room and I would recommend to beginners. 7 Deadly sins: Man....I was so excited for this theme but I felt the puzzles were executed so poorly. Difficulty 3/5 again with 4 enthusiasts. There was one very difficult puzzle that made absolutely no sense at all and if it wasn't for our gamemaster guiding us through it....it's completely unsolvable. I'd skip this room for both beginners and enthusiasts alike. I really dislike their hint system. They have no audio so it is very difficult for their gamemaster to guide us through the game properly without giving away too much. read more

My group and I had a wonderful time completing the room we did at Escapology. I decided to book the Antidote room for our group of 6. Our game master was very nice and explained everything thoroughly. Once we were in the actual room itself, it was show time and all of us were putting our brains to work! The Antidote was sure a fun room, and I will say even though we definitely did need a few hints, it wasn't an overly difficult room to complete. If you are new to escape rooms, I would say this one is a great room to pop your cherry to! I am not new to escape rooms so I knew what I was in for. The reason why I don't give it 5 stars is because I have done other rooms where I felt like the themes were a lot more fun and more challenging, but of course, I'm sure once we complete more rooms here at Escapology, I will have to update this review for sure! Escapology is one of my favorite things to do in my very little free time. My friend group and I loved playing the games at their other location in Vegas. My boyfriend and I decided to check this location out on Valentine's Day. We were very impressed! The lobby is of course very well decorated as well and the game master and host were great. We tried Who Stole Mona and then came back two weeks later to play Lost City. The puzzles were great and the effects were AWESOME. Without sharing anything, both of the rooms I've tried had very unique parts that were so exciting. If you haven't been to an Escapology room before, this place doesn't do easy chronological puzzles, which keeps you on your toes and makes it so interestingly intricate. You get 3 free hints and extra hints add time to your overall record. What's nice is that sometimes they will give you "nudges" which are basically free hints when they can tell you're super close (but you can also opt out of getting these if you really want a challenge). I also love that you get a bracelet with the room name on it! It makes me want to collect all of them. Definitely worth a visit! read more

If anyone is looking for something to do with the kiddies, or even just a date night during social distancing I highly recommend Escapology in Town Square. I found it on Groupon. They were very clean, organized, and had mask and hand sanitizer at the door. It said online recommended for ages 7+ but I don't think there's any age requirements set in stone. You might want to call and ask if you have younger kids. Our Game Host Lacee, and Game Master CJ were great. They were both kind, professional, and informative. We had an awesome time! Went here for my birthday with two friends and did the OK Corral room! Had a blast! Crew made it super fun and we almost made it in 60 mins. Went back the next day and did Murder on the Orient Express which was WAY more difficult than the last day. In 60 mins we made it 75% of the way! Had so much fun though.... This was really fun! I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with something fun but different for our date night so I set up a reservation for us and our best friends to do an escape room together. I looked up a lot of different ones in Vegas before settling on this one, and I'm glad we did! We are locals so we will absolutely be back for another. We did the Lost City room. It was super fun and loved every bit of it! We only got to the 2nd room and did not escape, but that didn't make it any less fun for us. The entire venue was very well kept and clean. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something a little different/more exciting for a date night. The location is great too because as soon as we finished up around 7:30pm we just walked right across the way to Yardhouse and had dinner there. This is so much fun! My wife and I purchased an experience for our daughter and her friend. The four of us went together. Our room, Rescuing Santa, was the room we picked. It was our first time and this room was a bit easier. The room(s) were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and treated the kids like royalty. I was once asked in a business ethics class why do people choose to stick with a well know franchise over a mom and pop shop .......... the answer ....... because people know what to expect with a well known franchise while it's uncertain with mom and pop shops ........... After completing all of the rooms at the Maryland Parkway location I fell in love with Escapology . Each room so unique and intriguing. I was so excited to see the Town Square location had some new rooms. Upon entry the lobby is amazingly decorated . Kind of steampunk kind of bio mechanical. Since this location opened I have done the "las Vegas hangover" room and "7 deadly sins room" Everything at the Maryland parkway location always went so smoothly , no botched puzzles , or hang ups with getting clues ........ with both rooms I did at Town Square we had some major setbacks with the rooms ultimately leading to both failures. As not to spoil too much of each room ..... In the Las Vegas hang over room you will solve a puzzle, flip a switch , which will open the door to the next room ....... we solve the puzzle , flip the switch and nothing ........ we start trying different combinations and really over thinking burning about 7-8 minutes ......... the screen BINGS a clue asking what were we getting for the answer ........ we yell out our original answer .......... the screen then reads "oh try flipping the switch again" ....... flip switch and sure enough door opens ....... 8 minutes down the drain . In the 7 deadly sins you will eventually get to another switch ......... we flip the switch and nothing ........ at this point in the room the switch is the only puzzle you're working with so once it's flipped you know something should be happening ........... we flip the switch and NOTHING ....... so now we have one person flipping the switch back and forth while the rest of us stand in different sections to try and see if the switch is causing something subtle to happen ..... sure enough nothing ....... five minutes later the screen BINGS a clue telling us to try flipping the switch ......... in a rage I scream WE HAVE FOR 5 MINUTES !!!!!!!! ....... screen BINGS "oh try again" ......... switch then reveals next puzzle ......... we get to the final puzzle with 17 minutes and we are looking in good shape ........ once again we solve the puzzle to what we think is correct and nothing ......... so we start over thinking ....... meanwhile screen is BINGING clues telling us stuff we already know ......... we are at this puzzle for 16 minutes when the screen finally just gives us the answer ....... EVEN WITH THE ANSWER WE CANT GET IT TO WORK ........ I'd come to expect so much from Escapology from all the amazing experiences I had at the Maryland Parkway location , but Town Square has dropped the ball twice with malfunctioning aspects of the room. Also side note ........ I received 50% off one of the rooms because they emailed me the wrong group photo ........ we emailed asking for our photo and our response was "we have no record of that" read more

Great place for a fun, challenging night with decent prices! I thought that it would be more expensive, but it's $34.99 per person and 2-8 people can be in an escape room. I like how the puzzles in this place are not too complicated or too easy - it's the right amount of challenging. We've done Antidote and Lost City, but honestly Lost City was easier even though it was supposed to be a bit harder. If your group looks like you're struggling, they'll give you a clue on the screen, which I don't think is a part of the 3 free clues you normally get without a time penalty. After the room, they take your picture in front of their wall and email to you. If you escape your room, you get a prize too! read more

Our group of 4 recently did the "7 deadly sins" game. The ambiance of the room matched well with the theme, and some of the puzzles were creative and original. I think this place is good for people who are new to escape rooms as the room is linear and incorporates the basic elements of an escape room. The lobby is also well decorated and cute! However, there were some cons during my experience. For instance, the group before us took up to the last minute of their experience, which caused our game to be pushed back 10-15 minutes. My suggestion for Escapology is to possibly have slots with a larger time interval in between. Also, since we were the last group playing for the night, our game master gave us hints every five minutes, almost as if she/he was trying to get us to finish faster so they can close. We ended up finishing with 20+ minutes to spare when we wanted to enjoy it fully without too many distractions. Some of the hints were delivered after we already solved the puzzle as well. Overall, 7 deadly sins will probably be a good room for newbies but probably not for escape room enthusiasts. I am still optimistic to try their other rooms that are supposedly more difficult. read more

We had so much fun doing the Lost City room. It was challenging and fun. The front desk staff seemed rather put out by me asking if we needed to reserve an escape room and what the best room for a novice would be. She was not friendly. At the end, the kid from "Mission Control" came out and seemed rather rushed to show us what the answers were and also seemed put out. He interrupted me when I was trying to ask a question question like he didn't want to hear what I had to say, he just wanted to get his spill over with and get back to his room. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars/a glowing review, but I cannot. That is due entirely to the operation of our room and the customer service my party received on Sunday, 10/25. First of all, we were a group of 5, including family and friends, some of whom are avid fans of escape rooms. Between us we can claim probably 100+ rooms completed all over the country. I am stating this because I want to make it clear that we are no stranger to how these venues work, as well as how incredibly challenging they can be. Our experience that night was the 7 Deadly Sins - a very difficult room rated at I believe 8/10. It was definitely hard as advertised, we were just short of completing it when we ran out of time, and no one in the group had a problem with that. It happens, and is hopefully the sign of a fair and challenging escape experience. And here is where the problems begin: the staff at Escapology did not adhere to their own rules that they laid out, and in fact were negligent in paying attention to our group's progress in the room. All groups are given 3 free hints that they can request when desired, as well as a complimentary "nudge" in the right direction by the halfway point should they need it. Additional hints come with a 2 minute penalty deduction each time. Sounds fair right? Well it would have been, had our hints not been prewritten, typed messages that were related to puzzles we had already solved. I will not go into too much detail in the interests of spoiling it for anyone (the room was admittedly cool, creepy, and the puzzles were interesting). The first time it happened, I did not want to jump to conclusions because maybe there really was something our group had missed about ______. By the 2nd time it happened, the hint was CLEARLY regarding a puzzle in a previous room that we had finished 10 minutes ago. The wording made it abundantly clear that no one was actually watching our group on the cameras in each room, and had no idea how far we had progressed. This essentially made 2 of our 3 hints useless, and we had no choice but to take a time penalty if we wanted more after the third. Oh, and remember that 30 minute "nudge" I mentioned? It didn't happen. When our hour time limit expired, we were greeted by a different person than the one who had been watching us/providing the hints, so she understandably had no idea that there had been a problem. It wasn't really her we had an issue with, so please don't take it as my intention that she messed up in any way. The mess-up is with the GM who was monitoring our group (Miley). When we decided to calmly and politely provide feedback on our experience afterwards, we were met with a lot of "No's" and zero apologies. In fact the staff quite bluntly placed the blame at our feet, even going as far as to suggest that we had picked a room that was too hard for our group. Let me repeat that: Our group, consisting of some Escape Room veterans, who has zero problem not completing a game, was apparently the reason they thought our experience went sour. Not "sorry there was a miscommunication" - Not "sorry the hints weren't relevant/we weren't paying attention". It was our fault, for picking a tough room and misunderstanding them. Okay Miley, we'll go do a different room one now. At a different venue ;) In conclusion: Their rooms seem awesome and we enjoyed almost everything except for how the staff handled things and responded to our concerns. It felt very dismissive and unfair. I recommend going to a family-owned Escape Room venue, where there is a bit more of a personal touch and you will never have to worry about them not paying attention to your group's game. Hi, this is an update to the review I wrote below. I was contacted by management and owner of the facility, and they made no excuses and gave sincere apologies and listened to my feedback. There's not much more you can ask for from a company, so I was very happy with that. I believe they genuinely care about their product - which is extremely evident in the Maryland location. They comped us to come back and do another room, which we did at Maryland location and had a fabulous time, as we always have had at that location. I have not yet been back to the Town Square location, but I most certainly will once I get the "green light" from them that things have been addressed and worked out. I can only imagine the challenges of creating a new escape room and I commend them for striving for excellence. We had a great time doing the murder mansion escape room! There was one small problem in the room but we were given a time benefit because of it and a coupon to return again which we appreciated. So this was my first time at the Town Square location of Escapology. My group and I booked the Mansion Murder room. Right when you walk in, there's a table with hand sanitizer, disposable masks, & gloves due to corona, which I'm really happy to see these materials being given out! We walked up to the desk & were greeted & sat down at the couches in the waiting area while our room was being sanitized. Friendly staff! Cole walked us to our room & explained how everything is going to go down & even put on a pretty good accent to match the theme. He really made us excited to start! The Murder Mansion room was incredibly fun & pretty difficult for the 3 others in my group & myself. We were so close to beating it & were one step away! Definitely recommend the room. This one is in town square by the movie theater. We tried Who Stole Mona Lisa with 2 teens and 2 adults. We couldn't solve it in time but it was a lot of fun! The facility was really clean, the interior was well thought out, and some puzzles were pretty darn hard! Staff members were friendly and helpful when we were stuck. After a couple of hiccups during our last visit, we were invited by Escapology's wonderful manager Steve to come back again to try another room. We are so glad we did! Before I even get into our experiences in the rooms, I want to acknowledge Steve's amazing customer service. He read my previous yelp review and was quick to reach out to ask for the details on what happened. He was great to talk to and was very apologetic about the situation. It made me feel good as a customer to know that my concerns were addressed and the business really cares about making sure that we have a great time when we come to their rooms. It's rare that you find a company who respond to every review, good or bad and we appreciate everything that the team at Escapology has done to improve on our previous experiences. After being invited back, my sister and I decided to try our luck at The Lost City. CJ and Hayley were our game hosts/masters and were very inviting while leading us back to the room. We loved the decorations in the room and thought the puzzles were challenging but weren't anything that couldn't be solved. We ended up escaping with 8 minutes to spare! We would definitely recommend this room to someone who has done an escape room or two but hasn't done too many so that it remains challenging. As we were leaving our experience in The Lost City, we decided to book another room for a few days later because we had such a great time! Tonight we chose "Who Stole Mona?" and were very pleased with our experience. Who Stole Mona was different from the other rooms that we've experienced at Escapology (I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I'll leave it at that) but it was still a great room. The first thing we said when we got into the room was how it looked like a real art gallery! We were very impressed by the amount of puzzles in the room and the wide variety of different kinds of puzzles. If I wasn't able to figure out a puzzle, my sister was able to, and vice-versa. We never felt completely lost. Our game hosts/masters Victoria and Maile gave extremely helpful hints and nudges that gave us just enough of a push in the right direction. We ended up escaping in 48 minutes which is the fastest time that we've ever escaped a room. I highly recommend that everyone try a room or two at Escapology! The rooms are some of the most gorgeous, high-tech, and well put-together escape rooms we've ever done. They are challenging but that's what makes the experience most satisfying when you get to the end. I don't know if these guys are just super nice, but I went to an escape room to celebrate my son's 13th birthday on Friday afternoon and they helped this bunch of panicked kids and two stressed out moms escape from Murder Mansion. I've only been to escape games with adult friends, and GM didn't give us to many clues (not here but in CA where I love). This was just a fun experience for my son to celebrate his birthday which they weren't aware. It was really hard for the kids, but everyone had a wonderful time escaping and with the hints, we made it out with a minute left. Maybe it is because we didn't fail, but my son is now a fan and wants to do it again. I hope we can try this place again when we are back in LV. I'm kind of scare that maybe our local escape rooms in CA have strict GMs. In any cade, I recommend this place even if you feel intimidated by the escape game environment. We loved how just when we were getting frustrated, they would give us the tiniest of nudges in the right direction without giving too much away. Was about my 60th room doing 7 deadly sins and it was just okay. The staff was super friendly and great like always but logical puzzles that make sense has never been escapology strong point and this was no different. The puzzles were very unintuitive and didn't feel like they flowed well and it was mostly all the usual tedious lock and stuff. Ah so this was my first escape room and I went in with my dad to do the Antidote room. So we checked in ,signed waivers and waited for them to set up the room. The decor is so cool in the lobby and they had little puzzles. When we went in the worker told us where to put our things and explained all the rules to us. Throughout the whole game it was super fun to solve every puzzle. We didn't end up escaping, but still worth it. I highly recommend going here. read more

Came here excited for a basketball team outing and was sadly disappointed. My 2 stars are for cleanliness only because the place felt clean. We brought 2 groups of kids spending hundreds of dollars only to be told we could not stay and sit in the nice lounge to wait for our kids because a "big group" was coming in. We waited outside in the 108 degree weather for an hour and no "big group" ever came. They just didn't want us in their space. Also our kids came out saying that they don't allow you to figure out the problem, if you guess wrong once, they immediately display the correct answer even if there is ample time left. Took all the fun out of trying to escape the room. We will definitely not be coming back here. Don't waste your time or your money!! Nobody wants to be treated rudely or have to wait outside while your group of minors is inside. Bad customer service. So sad. read more

Escapology was such a fun time! The room we did was extremely well thought out with great props and an interesting story. I've done escape rooms before that were a lot like a high school project thrown together. This was not the case with Escapology! Their escape room was Hollywood level in my opinion.
