Told it would be only 8 minutes...unrealistic...ended up being 15...ore realistic. This was a quite fri night. It would have been nice if the gave a free drink or some garlic knots for the system been messed up and me having to hang out for 15 to 20 minutes. Food...liked the crust..chewy and crisp..had a cheeseburger pizza. Was a little disappointed...most cheeseburger pizza add some pickles, tiny bit of mustardketchup to mimic a cheesburger. I hate giving local pizzerias bad reviews, but I have to be honest here. Came in a few months ago in the afternoon. There was a woman working and a fat man sitting down who stared at me the whole time. Got a slice of buffalo pizza and it was very big but not much chicken on it. Came here for lunch with my family after a nice walk at Kensico Dam. The holiday decorations were lovely! The staff was very nice, we were seated immediately. Location across from the train station, basically all street parking with a lot in the back (I am not sure if customers can park there). The lady who I presume is the owner was very uninviting but not rude. The inside was clean and the ambiance gives me Italian café vibes. I decided to keep it simple with a plain slice and the deep dish they had. I have never tried deep dish before so this caught my eye. The pizza looked thin behind the glass, which is what I like. The plain slice was way overcooked. The pizza dude disappeared and the only one behind the counter was the lady; who was on her phone the whole time. The deep dish was basically a 1 inch thick upside down Sicilian with a minuscule layer of cheese. I probably only ate 50% of what I ordered despite being very hungry. I would give a hard pass on the "deep dish", but the plain pizza might have been decent if it wasn't cooked to oblivion. I would need to come back to confirm if this place is terrible or not, but to be honest I do not feel compelled to. I am leaving a 2 star review because I was extremely unimpressed but they could have had an off day. read more

Instead of saying no, she upsized the salad to a "family style" salad and charged double without telling us. The pizza was good, but we won't be returning due to her behavior. Pasta tasted like coffee grounds, potato croquettes were raw on the inside and super chewy like mochi. Eggplant was basically mush, ordered penne vodka and received spaghetti covered in vodka sauce. Chicken parmigiana was $22 and we only got 2 small pieces of chicken. Tiramisu came frozen. Forgot 2 sides as well, overall disappointing! Hubby purchased a voucher so he, my son and I came here for dinner. My son and I both had orders of Risotto with Shrimp and hubby had the Chicken Parm. The food was 'ok'; nothing really spectacular about it. I was kind of annoyed that we drove all that way just for the sub par meal we had. The other night when I ate here I had the Eggplant Parm meal which came with a choice of a salad, vege, or pasta - I chose the salad with a vinaigrette dressing - very good. Must say, this is a cute little spot in Valhalla. Design is simple and well kept. Extensive menu with lots to choose from. My husband and I started with the Bruschetta and two glasses of wine. Wait staff was on point with waters. All the ingredients in my Chicken alla Esposito (Sun Dried Tomatoes, asparagus & Portobello in a white wine sauce), sounded delicious. Except, sauce was a bit too loose. I think I've been spoiled with the many Italian restaurants we've been too and their sauces were on point. This review is for the catering only. I have not yet been to the restaurant, but I hope to soon! I recently attended an event that Esposito's catered, and the food was definitely the highlight of the occasion! The dinner spread included: eggplant parmesan, calamari, meatballs, chicken marsala, and baked ziti. I tried everything except for the eggplant parmesan - and that was only because it had been fully demolished by everyone else who had hit the buffet line before we did.. My personal favorites were the baked ziti and the meatballs - I went back for seconds! The chicken marsala was also very good. I was a little skeptical at first because the chicken breast was sliced very thin, but the meat was perfect and not at all dry or overcooked. I think my least favorite dish was the calamari. I spooned a few pieces on to my plate because I hadn't had calamari in a long time and was craving something fried, but I was glad I didn't grab more than a few. The main thing that I noticed was that the calamari was soggy. This may have been the result of the transport and not reflective of the in-restaurant version, but either way, I didn't find the calamari super impressive or super fresh. Disgusting. I brought my children here for lunch. The woman that greeted us was the waitress and she was very nice. However, the owner was in the background and she was extremely rude. I could feel the hairs on my neck standing up when she was staring us up and down. Since the waitress was so nice we felt compelled to order. There was no one else in the place and it was lunch time!!!! We ordered our food and sat down at the table. The coffee was cold and the cup was dirty. One of my children's drinks had something floating in it. I mentioned it to the waitress and she rushed over to make sure that she gave me fresh cups and new beverages. However, it was just a sign to me that we should leave. Since the waitress was so nice, We decided to stay. When the food arrived nothing was edible. It was absolutely disgusting. The pizza was drenched in oil and burnt and the other food was just as bad if not worse. It was tasteless and dirty looking. I graciously told the owner who with no expression rationalized and came up with excuses as she stood there stone faced and never apologized. I graciously paid and left a tip for the waitress. You cannot dine here during a lunch hour, even if it looks like it is slow... it takes a good 20-25 min just to get a soup. You have to get up and get your own cheeze, hot pepper, ask for the bill and then bring the bill to the counter. Frannie is the best thing to happen to the place. Food is decent... lacks tons of flavor, but it is palatable enough to warrant a second visit if you happen to go on a day where the waitstaff put on their thinking caps. Sadly - Esposito's of Valhalla has gone down. Yes - you can still get a good pizza here but there's no guarantee. In recent months pizzas have been under cooked and sloppy. Calzones are small and disappointing. Their salads poor. Sicilians are all bread topped with sauce and cheese. Not to be picky but they can't even cut a pie equally. One slice can be more than twice the size of another. How is that possible?? We still "Friday Night" order - more for convenience (4 blocks) than taste. My boyfriend goes to school in Valhalla, so every time I'm at his place we order from Esposito's. As far as the pizza goes, it's a decent slice. It's nothing mind-blowing or spectacular but you always do get quality. The crust is crunchy on the outside with a soft doughy inside. The sauce (which is my favorite part of the pizza!) is sweet and in even ratio with the cheese. Occasionally, I'll order the Penne with Fra Diavolo sauce and broccoli rabe. Again, nothing mind-blowing, but it is quality food and something we order regularly while I'm here. They always deliver the food within an hour and have excellent customer service. read more

I went there with my bf on a Groupon for dinner. The food was great. I had sole Frenchese and bf had chicken. It was homemade style and very yummy. The serving sizes are decent.
