I've stopped in at this restaurant several times as I'm traveling through. The first time I ordered a burger, it was delicious. The staff were nice, but for an airport they didn't really see the urgency of getting a seat. There were several open but for one reason or another no one was allowed to sit in them. This turned several people away as many had flights to catch. The most recent stop I encountered a woman out front who appeared to be resentful she was there, and couldn't do but one thing at a time. Many of us stood there as we looked at empty tables all around. We were not seated until someone else came back off of their break and began clearing tables to which the girl at the front desk also helped. Why she couldn't clear the tables and get us all seated was beyond us. We all witnessed a person come by, who appeared to be a friend of hers, who was seated immediately. I had been wanting to try their butter lettuce salad so ordered that along with a cup of butternut squash soup. The salad came in huge pieces of butter lettuce that clearly needed to be cut before eaten. I was not offered a knife and when I asked if I could have a knife to cut my lettuce I was told, "ma'am it's an airport we don't give knives".... The gentleman beside me was holding a butter knife in his hand and we just looked at each other ...hmmm...she brought me a butter knife, LOL I did enjoy the salad. The butternut squash soup tasted as if something in it was rotten, I truly think it was the cream they drizzled on top as it never did mix in, but simply floated as spoiled cream. I returned it. I don't know if I would ever eat here again. If I did, I would only get the burger. I ordered mac & cheese to-go one time, as it looked absolutely scrumptious. Once seated on the plane, I opened the styrofoam container and quickly realized the mac and cheese had been microwaved in the styrofoam container, because you almost couldn't tell the difference between the cheese and the styrofoam. The atmosphere of the restaurant has an open floor concept and lots of room. When i have time at the airport i enjoy stopping by this place because the french fries are delicious. This time we ordered french fries no salt and the sliders. As always the french fries come out crispy and delicious. They are a small skinny size, but a huge portion. There is only one size of fries offered on the menu. As for the sliders didn't do much for me. They come in two per serving. The Niman Ranch beef sliders had caramelized onion, blue cheese, and iceberg lettuce. The blue cheese didn't really elevate the sliders for me. I was thinking more of a crumbled blue cheese that are used in wedge salads. The customer service was fine by me. Our server was very attentive and checked up on us multiple times. However i saw that the service was poor, we didn't have a problem. I really liked the french fries with no salt, and would definitely order it again. I disliked the sliders and had wish i chose the burger instead. I would definitely eat here again, for the french fries and maybe the burger. our total cost for french fries and sliders with tip was about $30. In times of Omicron I highly do not recommend it. The people that eat there don't give a damn. There was a guy at the bar coughing without a mask. The fellow next to me blew his nose like 5 times while also coughing a couple times. It feels like a death trap waiting for its victims. Maybe grab the food and eat it at a safe distance somewhere else in the airport. Food wise is bleh. I decided to try their Eggs Benedict but is airport food supposed to be bad? Cause it definitely was subpar. Didn't take more than a few bites which was enough cause of the hacking nearby fellow eaters and I wanted to save some of my tastebuds from the horror that was that dish. Also, this airport does not check vaccination cards in case you were curious. Honestly, I felt like a made a mistake by trying to eat there and I hope to all the deities I don't pay for it. My bloody mary was oversaturated with spice and tabasco. Thought i would avoid the crowds at 15L at the other end of the terminal by grabbing a seat hear as it was sparsely populated. On Thursday March 30th I stopped at Esquire Bar and Grill at the Sacramento airport. I Had an avocado bacon omelet with coffee, which totaled to $24.55 and paid for my breakfast with my debit card. Once I landed at my destination, I checked my bank account and found my charge for $24.55, but I also found another charge for $47.58 which was not authorized. I promptly called the restaurant and left a message for call back. After 3 hours with no response I called again and left another message and did receive a call, but I missed it and a voicemail was left for call back from the manager. I called back promptly and got no response, I proceeded to call 2-3 times for 4 days trying to get hold of someone and received no response. When I landed back in Sacramento, I stopped by the Esquire Bar and Grill and asked for the manager. I told the lady in the front about what was going on and even showed her my bank account. She went back to get the manager, but when she came back alone I was the manager would not talk to me. I asked if there was anyone that could help with these authorized charges, because at this point I have been severally inconvenience and I was trying to avoid making this complaint. She told me there was no one to help and she wished me the best of the luck. If these are the people the company is employing to run there restaurants, they need to re-evaluated there hiring standards. I have never been treated with such a lack of respect with people who lack the basic customer service skills required to work in the public. When a manager cannot return phones to deal with matters that involve his employees making incorrect charges on customers cards, he should not be manager. read more

The food was pretty tasty and the portions are large. We ordered a large omelette with potatoes and toast on the side with some outstanding organic teas. Yelp never steers me wrong. Every once in a while I just acid test the rating of an establishment to see if what I experience is the same as what the business is rated as. I finally decided to check it out this morning on my way back to Seattle. I will say that this is good food for airport restaurants. Average in the grand scheme of things. I got my food and drink and then went on my way. Very average experience all around. I have never been to a place in any airport that knocks my Sox off. Still. I would come back.
