I told the manager I would give it another try and update my review. I sent along my address and kept an eye on the mail. He never sent the gift card. LOL. These guys are bananas. The good- Really great location on 8th St. The patio seating is awesome. Staff is really friendly. Always seem to be able to grab a last minute table. Extensive beer list. Brussels sprouts app was delicious. The bad- the meal was a disappointment. I ordered a burger with Avocado and lettuce. Pic below is what was delivered. I made a joke when it was delivered that the lettuce and avocado ran away. The waitress brought me a piece of lettuce. The fries were cold. It wasn't the waitresses fault, so I tipped my standard 30%. Paid $80 for two burgers with fries, one app and one beer. Felt like a pretty big rip off. I've had the same at Bittercreek, Fork, 10 Barrell, etc. all were vastly superior. I reached out to Eureka regarding the poor meal. Received an email stating the manager would reach out. He didn't. I miss this place so much and live out of state now. It's so dang good. My ONLY complaint is, every time I favorite an item on the menu, it always has a short run and is discontinued. It's happened (at the very least) 4 times now. My partner and I were in the Boise area for just the night and were so happy to have stumbled upon this place for dinner! We sat at the bar and had the best service. The bartender was the epitome of great service: attentive, quick, great attitude, and conversational but also have us space to enjoy our time together. So now onto what we ordered and our thoughts on said items. We ordered the Brussel sprouts as an app, vegan beet burger, the fig burger, and the whiskey sour sorbet for dessert....oh, plus the huckleberry cider. Can't forget to talk about that! The vegan burger is nice. Great crust, flavorful, a little tangy from the garlic aioli. The fries are awesome. Crispy, hot, and a little salty. I mean...nailed it. My partner enjoyed his burger with the fig marmalade on it. Well-made, solid burger with a slight sweetness from the fig and a slight tang from goat cheese. My partner finished and said...yep, I'd order that again. He also really enjoyed the broccolini as a fancier side he swapped out the fries for. The Brussel sprouts were addictive. I'm definitely not a usual advocate for the consumption of these cruciferous, bland, sulphur pods that look like dwarf cabbages. HOWEVER, this place roasts them to perfection and glazes the sprouts in a sweet and tangy sauce and finished with crushed almonds. One word: addictive. Highly recommend! We finished with the whiskey sour sorbet. As it sounds, it was refreshing, palate cleansing, and a great lighter way to end the meal. And of course the huckleberry cider which is made in Idaho is the way to go if you like a semi dry cider that has a twinge of sweetness. Great for a hot day. Got into Boise and checked into our hotel. We found this place with great reviews. Ordered 3 kids' meals, they come with drinks, AND MAC & cheese balls. Drove over, and after we arrived, they said it would be 6 or 7 minutes. It took 30 minutes longer. Total time from order was over an hour. When we got back to the hotel, we found out they didn't give any drinks for the kids, no sauces for the chicken strips, and no requested bbq. Ugh. I pre-tipped. I hate that. It cost me $70 for half meals and cold food. I would say this was my worst dining experience ever. So not get take out, do not get takeout, do not get takeout, do not get takeout, do not pre tip, do not go here. I called to report the error, and the gentlemen offered to talk to the staff. That's it. He'll let his friends's know they screwed up our $70 meal. My kids don't find this acceptable, and neither do I. I took a photo of the excuse for a root beer float. The chicken strips were cold, and the fries were horrible. They looked really good, though. Actually, that's the best part. Everything looked really good. Thanks to the bartender who didn't give my kids drinks because she closed before our order was done, even though we ordered it an hour before. read more

WOW! All I can say is wow. Everything we ordered was so tasty. I am serious when I say that this is the best Cole slaw and Brussels sprouts that I have ever eaten. I am super fond of broccolini and this dish did not disappoint. The nachos were crispy and avocados were fresh and tasty. The sweet patio fries were off the hook. I originally was going to remove the cinnamon and honey but desired to give them a try as is and boy am I glad I did. Again, best sweet potato fries I ever ordered. They were crispy outside, creamy inside, and the addition of cinnamon & honey was brilliant! The staff was attentive and fun. Boise has become very busy and getting reservations last minute is not advisable. But, somehow Eureka fit six of us in for dinner and we were so lucky they did. Cocktails were spot on and served in beautiful glass ware. We shared the artichoke and poke appetizers, both very good with artichoke being the star. My husband and I shared a cheeseburger and fries and it was juicy and flavorful. The place is a bit noisy and we were kind of packed together but over all the food and drinks here are delicious and the service here was very friendly. read more

Only issue I've had here is that they blast the music in certain spots, so much so that you can't even hear yourself think. As someone with sensory issues, this was a little rough for me. TL;DR Updated to five stars since they dropped the stupid, barely functional, anger-producing mobile menu/payment app. Otherwise, super happy with the place. So this is essentially an upscale burger joint/gastropub. They have the usual selection of gastropub food, a few unique things, and a selection of premium microbrews. It was really good and the wait staff was attentive. The burgers are very tasty and they will do them however you like them, from well-done to mooing, so that makes me happy. This is a good place for a quick, casual business lunch or late casual date night. The booths give a little privacy and the lighting is a little subdued, so that's nice and helps with an otherwise crowded restaurant. What's unusual is that they also have premium selections of whisky, so if you really want a shot from a $500 bottle of premium spirits, they can help you out with that. The first time, we did take advantage of the opportunity to sample and were not disappointed. The second time, with some beer drinkers, and the selection was reasonably good. The third time, I went with some tea-totalers so I just ordered a few tasty mixed drinks, but everybody was happy. I still think they'd be a little happier with a few tasty cocktails in their lives, but to each their own. read more

For me is just exactly what the name calls out. I've been so impressed after 2 orders in. Haven't gotten any fries or sides but the cowboy burger (even with 1 other stop on a 3rd party delivery) was packaged well and spot on. This time I got the bourbon smoked dry rub wings and they were great. Crisp and plump, but without that weird GMO plumpy thing with some wings. Not sure where they source it but it felt like cleaner meat. Great wings, altho not super spicy(these don't advertise the spicyyy), perfect crisp and just overall good. My wife and I decided to go to Downtown Boise after church today for lunch. We parked and were walking around when we saw the restaurant. What actually drew us to the restaurant was a gentleman sitting on the patio with a dog that looked like a bigger version of one of our dogs. We stopped and looked at the menu and decided to go inside. My wife had a mimosa and ordered the and the Fresno Fig burger. I ordered the Butcher's Steak Dip. The food was outstanding. My wife loved her burger. It was juicy and fresh. The Steak Dip was incredible. So good, fresh, and the service was excellent. Our waitress was Nicole and she did a great job. The staff were very nice and the manager was very personable. If you are ever in Downtown Boise, stop in, you won't be disappointed. We went back Sunday evening. We had Brussel Sprouts for appetizers and they were excellent. Both daughters had the fig burgers and loved it. My wife had the fish tacos and loved then as well. I'm a big fan of Eureka in Boise! The staff is attentive, knowledgable, and helpful. I've been to the Eureka's in California, and you don't get the same level of service as you do here. The food is also top-notch. We went during the happy hour on Friday and had great appetizers including their deviled eggs with a sliver of pickled onion and bacon. The soups are lovely; I had the cream of potato soup topped with everything you get on a baked potato, including chives, cheese, and chunky vegetables. Drinks during happy hour were such a fantastic price. And they have local beers and wines to boot. Go here with your friends when you need an entertaining atmosphere to have delicious food and drinks. read more

We enjoyed a relaxing dinner with our dog. They allowed our dog to be leashed on the patio with us while we ate. They even brought her a cold dish of water and gave her tons of pets. The food is above average for sure. The Gingerbread Man Old Fashioned was next level! Seriously unlike any other drink I've ever had. Wow! I ordered dinner tonight of a hamburger and side salad and lunch tomorrow if a steak salad. The birder was just outstanding. Swiss cheese and some aioli? sauce? Bread was good ratio to the high quality meat. The salad was good green leaf lettuce with a wonderful oregano vinaigrette dressing. I think the salad had blue cheese and maybe some small amount of other items but the dressing was outstanding and came on the side so you add it to salad. The wait staff Is by-and-large, is pleasant... May come up it's not too busy but the rest of the time name stay on task. I have no real complaints because everyone is super friendly... sometimes forgetful, but overall not abrasive lol... The last couple times I've gone in there I have had issues with my order, and I call back and and the lady has been nice, she offered to either cimp it or send us other food... mistakes happen, especially with door dash or a bunch of to go orders. Started with one of their signature drinks a "wild child " it was delicious and the habanero salt on the rim added the perfect kick when I wanted it.
