As an update to my earlier post, my check engine light came on THE DAY AFTER I picked up my truck and paid the additional $$$$. When I called to schedule an appointment to have the truck serviced under the warranty they provided as part of their "service", I was transferred from Trish to the "owner" of the garage , who proceeded to yell and curse me (and yea, I yelled and cursed back), but he REFUSED to honor the warranty and told me to "go fck myself and find someone else to fix your piece of sh#t": Based on what other customers say about this place, it's a decent shop as long as they don't really have to work to fix a problem that a backyard mechanic could handle. I will again state that they do not do business above board and will look to wring the most amount of money out of their customers for the least amount of work. I have better things to do with my time, but I will be filing suit against them for failing to honor their warranty just because I hurt their feelings with a negative business review. . Checked local vw TDI recommended mechanics and found European Motorworks. VW are "special" and if you find your non-dealership repair team - you become loyal fast. ISSUE: Our 2012 glow plug AND engine light was lit. Shop diagnosed recommended repairs - we agreed upon the repairs and expected to get our vehicle back drivable. We picked up the vehicle- 15 minutes later the engine light coded AGAIN and we spent allot of money only to return the vehicle for diagnosis. Owner recommended we attempt VW and second diagnosis was diesel particulate- how can this be? We spent allot of time and money to get the vehicle in drivable (ie no check engine light) condition- owner suggested another new equally expensive repair - Had enough run around and brought car to the professionals who was our trusted repair team and got a repair list a mile long that European never shared or reported to us. We should never have had the glow plug repair done and we should have driven vehicle straight to a junkyard A professional will admit his errors and apologize but based on the reviews we know he will become defensive, immature, and confrontational about a review that isn't positive Beware bringing your vehicle here - it's sad when people air their opinion in public and the owner, rather than take ownership, responds like a child read more

A new shop opened up in MJ recently and being smart consumers we decided to try it.....nope! They quoted a repair at right at $2000 and Jerry came in at under $800 ...this is my Mini guy! read more

They didn't even do half of the job had to go to Volkswagen to finish it for another 700. They reused my crush washer didn't install mid section exhaust clamp properly, Also put my backseat back in wrong. Whole job for my gas tank was overpriced and sloppy, Volkswagen pointed out multiple things and for over 2,100 dollars for a used gas tank replacement, they should have actually completed the job. read more

Don't waist your Time or Money at this shop. I've serviced my BMW here for 4 years but never again. Customer service and good business has taking a nosedive for the worse. March 2022 I brought my BMW X5 here to have my rear air shock replaced after one side deflated. I was told i needed to replace both air shock bags and rear brakes and rotors. This repair lead to several months of snowballing suspension issues that lead to me having to replace the adjacent part to every part that they repaired amounting to roughly $4400. And each failed part would happen within 24hours and 5miles of every time I received my vehicle back. :-/ I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you take your business elsewhere. It's hard to find trust worthy mechanics now days. read more

If you own an Audi you know how difficult it can be to find a mechanic that can actually fix the car much less one that is skilled, prompt, professional, and does work at a fair price. Jerry at European Motorworks is all those things. I dropped my A5 off on a Monday, got a detailed estimate of the work required on Tuesday, and had my car back 2 days later. The bill was literally half of what I would have expected from the Audi dealerships (which are notorious for ripping off their customers). I recently moved here from California, (Yes, I'm a CaliFleerer), and I brought my 2003 C240 (Base Model) with me...she has 245K+ on the clock. She had an issue and went into the "Limp Home" mode. Not knowing any place here that works on Mercedes, I did a Google search and European Motorworks popped up..read the reviews, and decided to give them a try. I was more than impressed with European Motorworks...started off with the office manager, pleasant and professional. This carried through to the service technician / service advisor..and the office dog !!! They were able to quickly diagnose the problem, had it fixed, and running GREAT within 48 hours. Had my Audi A6 TDI serviced with an oil change the day before leaving for Maine, a two-day drive. Leaving early the following morning we set off on our journey. Outside Crossville my oil low level light illuminated. I pull off and searched for a maintenance shop. They found the oil filter O ring was improperly seated and that oil was indeed leaking. Not knowing the unique oil used by EM, they installed a fresh change of oil. Pictures were taken and a full report was presented with my bill. I reported the problem to EM and was told upon my return to Nashville to give them the details for reimbursement. Bill and pictures in hand I presented my case to EM's owner(?). He agreed to pay for the Crossville oil change but refused to offer a free oil change with the special oil and filter that had been in my car for 12 hours before it leaked out. He blamed me for changing the oil instead of topping it up. The Crossville shop did not have his oil or a German oil filter. On top of adding 3 hours to my 11-hour trip, he was unresponsive to my arguments, very short with me, and walked out on resolving the situation. This will be my last visit to European Motorjerk. They didn't stand by their work and were extremely rude. read more

Don't believe those earlier reviews, I had the complete opposite experience. After he charged my credit card for the work he said I had to have to pass MARTA in the second breath told me my car will not last a month. When I started my vehicle, the check engine light was still on ( the whole reason for my visit). I left messages for him the next day with NO return phone calls from him. I get you might not know or be able to fix the issue but at least call your customers back. read more

Couldn't be happier with the service at European Motorworks. These guys know and love VWs. From the moment I started talking to them, I knew I was in good hands. I took my car in for some issues that other shops had failed to resolve after several thousand dollars worth of repairs. Luis got my car whipped into shape, even texting me photos and explanations of the issues he was seeing, making sure I understood what was going on. And Jerry, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. I had been pessimistic about the fate of my 2001 GTI, but after getting it back from these guys, it honestly drives like it was brand new. Really thrilled with their service. Great to deal with, I called about having some service done was told straight away My car didn't need it it would have been done by the dealership at 40k miles saving me time and $$$. Elected to have timing chain tensioner replaced on my 2010 CC because of the high rate of failure. They were fast, reasonable labor rates significantly cheaper than some downtown German auto specialists. I plan to have both our VW serviced here from now on. read more

I had such a great experience with European Motorworks. Jerry is as good as it gets...exceptional customer service. I have a 2008 Land Rover and I originally took my car to the Land Rover dealership in Brentwood to have a few things checked out, as well as get an estimate for some bodywork. I know that dealers will always try to charge you more, but they were ridiculous. They told me I needed a brand new AC compressor and it would be between $1,800 - $2,000 to fix. I found European Motorworks via Yelp, called them right away and they were able to look at my car within 24 hours. I got a second opinion from Jerry, who after assessing the vehicle said I only needed my compressor to be recharged (added more coolant/freons). It cost me 125.00. I will definitely take my car back to European Motorworks for any other issues. I really appreciated how helpful and honest Jerry was. read more

Called this place to see about a repair for my 03 VW. They tell me that it will be no problem that he has fixed this before. After I pay to have it towed to his shop I get a call the next day that he cannot fix it and I will need to take it to the dealer. Get another call an hour later that he had to push it out of the shop and the drivers window would not go up and of course its raining. Get another tow truck to have it brought back to my house, meet him down there, put the key in and the window goes right up. He then tells me he only spent about 10 minutes on it so there will be no charge. Use him if you want but I will take my money elsewhere. And what kind of shop puts a car out in the rain with the window down. read more
