Don't judge this restaurant from the parking lot. It is clean and classy inside. The fresh fish was seasoned well. The service was great!

Average food - pizza was too cheesy and pasta was too greasy. Ambience is good for wasilla and service is quick for a fine dine restaurant.

Quiet, dark, fancy the ambiance was very old school Italian. Service was promoted very nice and respectful. For a party of 8 we did not wait long to be seated. Our appetizers were delicious. The serving size for just the lunch menu was more than enough to share.

First visit for us as a couple as we celebrate a belated anniversary (57th) and Valentine's Day. My wife had been one time before with our oldest son before we moved to the Valley. She had been nagging me to bring her back because she enjoyed her meal. They had a Special Valentine's Day Celebration menu with dinner and Special Cocktails. My wife chose the 9oz Filet Mignon from the Valentines menu and I choose the Seafood Arabitta from the regular dinner menu. We started with the stuffed mushrooms appetizer with white wine cream sauce stuffed with lobster and crab. There were six covered in the sauce. They tasted amazing and may be the best I have ever had. The filling was flavorful and just the right consistency. The filling was full of the seafood with just enough binder to have a light flavor but didn't overwhelm the sauce. My wife chose a dinner salad with oil and red wine vinegar. The salad was ample with fresh lettuce, onions, carrots, tomatoes, cucumber slices and black olives. The dressing came in a carrier so she could add as much or as little to her taste. I had a cup of the house minestrone soup which was served hot, well prepared and tasty. It has generous portions of vegetables, white and kidney beans, and pasta that was partially blended and simmered until the flavors blended. It was appropriately spiced expertly done. My wife's dinner entree had a filet cooked medium rare and seasoned. It was tender and juicy. It was accompanied by a large baked potato seasoned with butter and sour cream in packets. On top of the filet was a portion of well cooked and seasoned asparagus. Additionally it included steamed cauliflower, carrots and broccoli. All the vegetables were cooked very well and tasty. My seafood pasta dish came in a pasta bowl covered with sauce and containing fettuccine, several large shrimp, large scallops and fresh mushrooms and a side of garlic bread. The pasta and sauce were well cooked and seasoned and spicy. The menu warned that two of the dinners were hot and spicy. I found it moderately spicy but the waitress had brought jars of crushed red pepper and cheese to add as you desired. The fettuccine was cooked to perfection and 18" long. I found that even with the spoon provided it was difficult to twill in mouthfuls and ended up cutting it my knife. That's not a criticism or bad thing but a sign of excellent pasta possibly house made. It was very good. Another plus is the shrimp were larger than normally found in such dishes and tailless. I dislike when the shrimp have tails on and you have to try to remove the sauce covered shrimp before eating. The difference in price and quality between tail-on shrimp and tail-off is minimal for avoiding the messy removal in a cooked dish. Also both the Shrimp and Sea Scallops were large enough that I had to cut them with my knife to make a reasonable fork full width the pasta. I don't remember ever having to do that before so it of the highest compliment I can give to this restaurant and Chef. Overall everything that we were served tonight was of excellent quality, flavor, quantity and preparation. It was equal to the outstanding service by Heidi W and her male assistant. We seated by a hostess and very shortly greeted by our waitress Heidi. She was friendly and helpful and offered our drinks which she promptly served after she brought us ice water. She took our appetizer and dinners orders. From the point she served or water and drinks our glasses were never empty. She repeated observed our glasses and promptly asked if we wanted refills. She served our appetizer, then our soup and salad just as we finished the appetizer. When we finished our soup and salad she promptly served our main course. Between each course our dishes were cleared and condiments changed. When we showed signs of being full her assistant asked if we needed go boxes and then offered to take our plates and return with the filled boxes and a bag to carry them in without our asking. I can only evaluate our wait staff as outstanding and the best I have had in several years. I know this evaluation is long but I feel that I had to give as good an evaluation as the service and food earned. I have eaten in a few five star restaurants around the world in my fifty years of travel but never expected this quality in Wasilla, AK. There are very few restaurants in Alaska that compare to here. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants an outstanding experience at a reasonable moderate price. They accept reservations and I would recommend them on weekends and holidays. Allow you can be accommodated without them. They have a large dining area and parking lot. Full bar, wine take out service and especially for take out of their pizza which we observed several being picked up. Sadly they do not offer a senior or military discount but that is not unusual for restaurants of this quality.

Super good pizza! The pizza crust was crispy but fluffy, a good amount of cheese, and not too greasy. Very expensive for pizza and 45 minutes is quite a wait for two pizzas.

Even though I specifically asked for al dente, and also stressed to the waitress I'd rather the pasta is undercooked than overcooked, it came out like the typical American restaurant pasta mush that dissolves in your mouth. You should be able to bite into pasta, not feel it dissolve on your tongue - besides the fact overcooked pasta has a higher glycemic index, which contributes to overeating and weight gain, and is therefore less healthy. Additionally, it was not "topped" with sauce, but rather it looked like pasta soup. And there shouldn't be so much cheese in pasta sauce that it forms strings when you raise your fork to your mouth. Way too much Parmesan cheese, so it masked the other flavors that should have been there. Since the sauce flavor was ok (but not spectacular since the primary overwhelming flavor was the Parmesan) we boxed the rest of the sauce after I attempted to finish my overcooked and texture deficient pasta. A couple nights later we cooked a full pound of pasta (correctly) at home and were able to eat four servings with the leftover sauce! So there was enough sauce in one dish for the equivalent of five people! That's just ridiculous. So our recommendation: 1) cook the pasta correctly, 2) reduce the cheese in the sauce, 3) reduce the sauce to 20% of what you currently serve - you can serve five times as many people with the same amount of sauce, and actually drop the price of this dish to something more reasonable, and you'll still come out ahead. That's our two cents from having dined in three dozen countries, all fifty states, and having even taken cooking lessons in Italy.

I don't know how I could give this place higher praise after the incredibly tasty meal we were served. We started with the Calamari and also the Empanadas for the table. I've had Empanadas at least 40-50 different times and locations all over the world No joke these were the tastiest ones I have ever had. I crispy initial bite followed by a soft warm/hot filling that was packed with goodness The green sauce was so good I forgot to try the whiter sauce. I would literally come back just for these as they were out of the world delicious. The calamari was tasty and prepared well not over cooked or undercooked. The chef prepared them well but my focus was on the Empanadas so I hardly ate any Calamari. Then came the entrees and I was blown away at the Seafood Linguini. The scallops & , shrimp-were perfectly cooked in a rich and creamy sauce that was Devine. It struck the perfect balance of a delicious garlic, buttery goodness with the cream. Just the right amount of sauce that every bite was covered in sauce but somehow it packed a punch of flavor in every bite. I wish tomorrow wasn't my last day in Wasilla before heading home because I could come to this place everyday I was so good. Now for the final treat, the view. Nestled on a hill overlooking this beautiful lake with mountains in the background I'm struggling to paint a picture worthy of that view. When I first arrived I thought to myself this place must survive purely on the views given the bad reviews. Not at all, even though I would put this view as my top 2-3 ever at a restaurant ( Compared to a Michelin restaurant in Cannes France overlooking the Ocean, a restaurant at the top of a mountain in Keystone Colorado, and this place all breathtaking. Having said that, I actually think the food was better than the view if that's possible. Next time I make it back to Alaska, this place will be my first stop for certain. I sure hope when I make it back in a year or two it's performing at this level because this was an experience I won't soon forget. If you're on the fence based on reviews, do yourself a favor and at least try the Empanadas or Seafood Linguini. These are unforgettable!

We were sat immediately at about 5 ish on a Thursday. We looked over the menu and the hostess brought water for us right away. The waitress came over for drink and food orders. We ordered the regular ribeye and sodas. My husband ordered a salad and it came out about 10 min before the meal. The steaks with vegetables and mashed potato and gravy (I had these, my husband got the salad instead) and all items were sizzling hot and very good! The steaks were both cooked correctly (medium and medium rare) with good seasoning and flavor. The vegetables (broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower) were tasty, hot, and slightly crunchy (not mushy)! The potatoes and gravy were very good-tasted homemade! I also had these homemade root beer which was very good and the bread pudding. The bread pudding was moist, tasty, had cinnamon, and a rum icing - very, very good! All the servers were very friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. We would definitely eat here again! First, I waited 15 minutes just to be acknowledged and given a menu. Throughout my wait, the staff in the back were speaking very loudly in a foreign language; it sounded like a heated argument, which made for a very uncomfortable atmosphere. When the soup finally arrived, it wasn't even served hot. The situation went from bad to worse when I noticed a live bug crawling on the plate that held my bean sprouts. Upon checking my soup, I saw several small black specks that looked like more bugs. Needless to say, I immediately stopped eating. When I brought this to the staff's attention at the counter and showed them photos, the response was dismissive. Instead of taking ownership, the employee tried to suggest the bug might have just flown onto the plate from the dining room, as if that makes having insects in the restaurant acceptable. To make matters worse, they still charged me for the meal. I am disgusted by the lack of hygiene and the poor customer service. I will never return, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this place.
