I've loved Everyday Eatery for a long time but my most recent visit was unfortunately lacking. Their avocado toast is so pretty but I ordered takeout recently and the toast was very burnt. I took a photo and thought it was only the crust that was all black but it turns out the whole piece was burnt so it was inedible. The chicken and avocado salad was also very lacking in the toppings and didn't look like the photo on their website at all. I am not really a brunch person, but I recently visited Everyday Eatery in Irvine, and to my surprise, I actually really enjoyed the experience! I ordered The Essentials, a classic combo of eggs, bacon or sausage, and your choice of salad or toast. I went with sunny side up eggs (because runny yolk = happiness), crispy bacon , and a side salad for something a little lighter. As a little treat, I added on their French Toast , and it was 100% worth it. What originally drew me in was their drink menu, as I spotted matcha latte on there and had to give it a try. My friend suggested their iced strawberry matcha latte , and it seriously impressed me. Made with real strawberry purée, it had the perfect balance of earthy and sweet. The place was popping with a steady line, but seating (both indoor and outdoor) was plentiful, and the service was quick and super friendly. She makes beautiful latte art, is incredibly warm and kind, and when she is the one making my lattes, it turns out delicious. She is always welcoming and patient. My favorite latte at this location is the hot, maple latte with oatmilk. My usual go to drink anywhere is a hot, vanilla latte but it hasn't been good here the last time I tried from a while back. However, I may have to go back and try the vanilla latte again from this place. Despite how busy this place gets, it's always clean and efficient. With a limited, but delicious drink selection and a healthy breakfast/brunch menu, Everyday Eatery has the core morning favorites down solid. Caffeine? We had the rose cardamon latte, which we ordered because it sounded unique and exciting. And it was so nicely balanced with the rose flavor not overwhelming the drink and the cardamon adding a nice earthy dimension. They are also very accommodating with their caffeinated drinks, providing non-dairy options and decaf as well (a huge plus for us caffeine-sensitive and lactose intolerant folks). Savory bites? Their breakfast burrito looks unassuming, but it's packed with flavor, gooey with cheese, whipped in with fluffy eggs, and the bacon in my burrito was nice and crispy. The salsa was perfectly acidic and not too spicy. Hearty and delicious, the burrito was a winner. Sweet bites? The riccota lemon pancakes were lovely. With soft and thinner texture, the pancakes don't taste cheesy or too lemony, but boy was it tasty. Holy moly this place was incredible!!! I added an egg to the avocado toast and WOW - delicious. A woman, Nasim, greeted me when I first walked in asking if I had any questions about the menu. She was super friendly and attentive to customers; great customer service. I ordered the iced strawberry Matcha and avo toast with egg and Nelly rang me up. Unfortunately, the food looks a lot better than it tastes. The French toast was more along the lines of griddle toasted brioche than a nice eggy French toast. Our general approach has been to get something savory and something sweet so that way we can split the dishes and have more variety. The entire time we were eating, there was a line to order and all the indoor tables were always filled. Would recommend trying to get there earlier if you want to sit inside, otherwise there's plenty of outdoor seating too. Latte ($5.25, 5/5) - No complaints here! Classic latte. Breakfast Burrito ($16.00, 4/5) - With the breakfast burrito, you can choose between turkey, sausage, bacon, and chipotle chicken as your meat options. We got the turkey sausage, and thought the burrito overall was pretty good. The house made salsa pairs really nicely with everything. The veggie scramble with egg whites was perfect for my special diet and it tasted very good. The potatoes could've been a bit less dehydrated and I didn't try the salad part. The matcha latte with almond milk was excellent, and the matcha powder comes straight from Japan. It was a very high-quality beverage. My mom's bacon and fried egg sandwich came with burger buns and I didn't try it but it looked very wholesome. The staff were very courteous and effective. Came on a Sunday in early Dec for midday brunch, and I now understand why it is so busy! The ambience was bright and trendy, with beautifully-presented and tasty offerings (including seasonal) and hefty portions. The lemon ricotta pancakes are not overhyped. I go to the Sand Canyon plaza often, but this was my first time trying Everyday Eatery, and I was quite surprised to see how popular it is (and I can see why)! I came on a Saturday morning around 9:30am and the line was not too bad. There are only a few tables inside, but they have a lot of outside seating shared with the other nearby restaurants. The guy who took my order was really nice. They have a lot of variety of breakfast options from savory to sweet and drinks, and I decided to just get the bacon breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito was really good and in my opinion, it was a pretty big burrito (but it makes sense since it was kinda pricy) and I was really full and had to give some leftovers to my sister. The eggs inside were fluffy and the flavor overall was good, not too salty. I also really liked the salsa sauce provided on the side, it had the right amount of spice and added more flavor. Overall, while most items are slightly more on the pricier side, they seem to be of good quality and they are quite generous in terms of portion size. I saw they had a cranberry sandwich that is a winter seasonal, so I am curious about that.
