Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of the friendly service staff. Otherwise some of the fish I ordered was inedible because it wasn't fresh. The albacore looked chemically dyed and the rainbow roll had such thin chewy slices of fish, I wasn't sure if it was safe to eat which shouldn't be a concern in any other sushi restaurant. This was my first visit, and the sushi was absolutely amazing--fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. During our meal, a child was having a very difficult time, and the staff gave the family space and patience. After about 20 minutes, and multiple attempts at assisting the family with the situation, the staff kindly asked the family to go. Sadly, the situation escalated, and the parents began threatening to sue. As someone who values both compassion and a peaceful dining experience, I truly appreciated how calmly and respectfully the staff handled a tough situation. It showed a lot of grace. Everyone wants to have a great experience when dining out and spending their hard earned money. I feel for the family and what the situations they have to endure in having a special needs child but they should understand it's just not fair for everyone else in a restaurant to have to hear a child scream throughout our entire meal just because they want to eat out. It's extremely selfish and unfair to everyone else in the restaurant. The sushi was great and I want to thank the staff for looking out for everyone in the establishment not just one table. We have been coming here since they first opened and the quality has been going down a lot especially over the past year and a half. The rolls are much much smaller than they used to be and the quality of the fish overall has also declined. It's unfortunate because we used to rave about this place to our friends and family, and enjoyed the sushi so much. The rolls have gone up in price and are half what they used to be. They don't taste as flavorful as before, and they've been just drenching some rolls in sauce. The only thing still worth it is their hand rolls. I've visited this sushi restaurant multiple times, and every experience has been top-notch. The food is fresh and beautifully presented--easily some of the best sushi I've had, and the service is consistently warm, respectful, and professional. I was recently saddened to read a post where a guest felt the need to share a negative experience involving her daughter, who was having a difficult time. As someone who supports families with unique needs, I can understand the sensitivity of the situation. But I also saw firsthand how the staff handled it with great care and discretion. They allowed space and time before eventually and very politely asking for the dining room to be cleared, only after the extended disturbance began to impact the experience of other guests. The most disturbing part was the parents (adults) screaming and recording the staff and customers while they were trying to simply do their job. Unnecessary and distasteful. It's never easy to navigate situations like these, but from what I witnessed, the restaurant handled it with empathy and professionalism. They remained respectful and patient while maintaining a comfortable environment for all their patrons. This restaurant deserves recognition for not only their incredible cuisine but also their ability to approach challenging moments with grace. Also many of the rolls featured on the menu were fried or had a fried ingredient. Service is okay, waitress tended to us, but minimally and mostly just for refills on water. I would not return.
