I was excited to see a bbq place on our travels. This was right off the 8. The people were very friendly. The decor was fun. Sadly our table was not completely clean with crumbs on the seats. The food was good but their use of fake butter ruined the taste of many things. The brisket was good. The corn bread was good but needed some butter. They brought out some foul tasting butter substitute when I asked for more butter. It was dry and needed something to keep it from crumbing. The loaded baked potato was delicious. The Mac n cheese was spicy. The corn on the cob was ok. It had a lot of potential but just missed the mark. read more

Middle of the road flavors; unfortunately the only real known place in Yuma for bbq. It can range from eerily quiet to obnoxiously loud.

I used to visit the one in Simi Valley California. It used to be good. They had a bad cook it went down hill. I saw this one here I was so excited that they had one here. Redemption this one is bomb! It's everything I wanted and more. Thank you All Emili was amazing. Fantastic staff. Thank you all for a wonderful experience. I used to rave about the food. I had the plank salmon and wife had catfish fingers. We both had corn and red potatoes mash sides. The good: salmon was decent if a bit tepid the catfish fingers were hot and tasty but a wee bit on the rubbery vs flakey side. The bad: The mash potatoes were good flavor but cold. The ugly: The corn cobs were water logged and luke warm and wouldn't even melt butter. We had to ask for butter three times before we got it. The kicker was I left the restaurant after paying to gas up. No credit card. I returned to the restaurant and found it under the table. There were three tables occupied in the restaurant when this happened. No excuses. read more

Well this is our second time here last was two years ago while staying in Yuma. Needless to say we were very disappointed and let the manager know. They were nice enough to send us a gift card for $50.00 about 2/3 of our original bill. Jump to today. We decided to give Dave's another try and use the gift card. On arrival we were greeted by a nice hostess who went to check on a table. After being seated we were asked if we would like anything to drink as it would be a bit and our waitress was new and very busy. We asked for water which was quick to come. About 10 minutes later our waitress arrived and seemed very distracted took our bar order about another 10 minutes and we got our drinks and ordered food .( I should mention that there was dirt on the floor all over our dinning area menus were sticky and my water glass was dirty)also there was only 4 tables seated in the restaurant at this time. We received our food and to say we were very disappointed is an understatement. My rib tips were more than half fat.( At least they were cooked this time) the ribs were baked to the point of falling apart. I understand that this is prodution BBQ competition but come on . Fire cracker green beans were mushy and had very little flavor. Cocktails were gland and not as described in the menu. The only thing that was up to par was the corn muffins. read more

4 stars because the food is OK. BUT STARS really go to the hostess and our server Kevin! The hostess was very nice, polite and seated us quickly. She even offered to take the trays away towards the end of our meal. Kevin was awesome throughout! He was very polite, attentive and gracious. Our daughter's meal was missing the corn muffin and he not only corrected it, but brought an extra one over for the inconvenience. It was no real inconvenience but he was awesome for doing so! Ordered a full rack of ribs with sides. Placed my order online in hopes of quick service at the restaurant. Arrived to find they had not received the order. Reordered and waited. Specifically, I requested beans and slaw with the large order of ribs. I then paid an additional $9 for three side orders of mini corn. I got home to find that the sides are tiny individual cups, and I only got two ears of corn. The full rack of ribs will serve the three people who were waiting, but we basically have to split up enough sides for one person. Not a fan, and now I'm wondering if Dave is famous or infamous. We sure do love coming here! We have sat on the outside as well as in the bar area. We love the cheese curd appetizer and the burnt ends. We could get those two things each time and be completely content. Also love that at each table there is an array of barbecue sauces to choose from. The zesty one is absolutely awesome! read more

We waited 20 min for our drinks and 45 min for our food. the tables around us that came in after us, got their food and drinks before us. Stay away from this restaurant .. food is so disgusting..overcook and looks like left overs from a previous customer. I order Southside Ribs Tips It Taste like old plastic covered with salt. The ribs were pieces of fat and the few pieces of overcook meat from last week. . The meat was so hard that I was unable to eat. Manager who was very nice provided a non sense explanation and offered to give 50% discount. I don't believe was the best option but I accepted since I ate the corn and bread which I believe it's a lot of money for this meal. Never again .. read more
