This past Saturday I took a new hire out to eat after work for what I thought was going to be a great meal considering I have been to this location twice before. Food came we ate and left the restaurant and went our separate ways for the weekend We returned to work and started asked each other if either one of us had gotten sick from the food or felt a certain way My coworker said he felt it immediately. I felt it the very next morning. Couple hours into my shift I called the restaurant They said they would investigate. And said they change their oil every two days. I thought maybe it was from the appetizer that we got sick but who knows it could be from anything we ate..we had different dishes, but we shared the same appetizers. Which was all fried food.... I'm not sure if they messed with the food purposely. I did notice that they kept looking over at our table as they smile at each other, then look away as soon as they saw us looking.. not too sure what to think about it But bottom line food made us both sick They said they would refund my meal we will see what happens .. I am back at Famous Dave's in Rancho Cucamonga on 4th Street and it was a pleasure seeing Emily again! I also loved meeting Alexa! They are both amazing and give such good energy. The food is as good as it gets when it comes to ribs and chicken. The banana pudding is a gift from the angels. The service is so outstanding that I feel like I am personally friends with the staff. Went to Famous Dave's in Long Beach about 12 years ago. Thought they had closed it down so went to the Rancho Cucamonga location. Found out it reopened in Long Beach! I know there's some haters out there but when I went, the ribs were fresh and "fall off the bone" juicy. My son was happy with the brisket and tri tips, not dry at all. We had the rib tips with potato Salad and baked beans The sides were pretty good and went well with the tips. We had a Watermelon margarita was strong and flavorful. The staff helped us quickly and she was helpful and got us served appropriately. We had originally ordered the burnt ends. We didn't like the sauce it was made with and we returned it. Large and clean restaurant and didn't have many people inside. It appears that there was a recent remodel of the restaurant. They served corn bread and it was sweet and delicious! Really gone downhill. I guess BBQ was not making it and a revamped menu makes that clear. This is an American style eatery now and less a BBQ joint. I think that the overall quality has dropped as well. I would not say avoid, but I wouldn't go out of the way to eat here. This year for my work Christmas Party, the bosses wanted to cater from Famous Dave's. I inquire through online and decided to go with The Double Dave catering option that feeds for 50 ppl that has Cornbread, BBQ Chicken, Tri Tips, Coleslaw, and Potato Salad with utensils and serving tongs that costed $1127.50. The rep was extremely helpful and answered any questions I have since it's my first time using them and wasn't sure what to expect. I'm glad we were able to pick up the food before their opening time at 11 since that's the time our party starts. The day of the pick up was easy. The dishes were more than enough to feed. By far the most disgusting food I have ever had from this location. Tonight (Saturday night) I took my family to this location. Everyone ordered something different, so this is not just 1 meal that was off. The food quality was beyond lacking. The taste was so bad I was questioning if it was even real meat! I immediately felt sick, didn't eat the meal, server never came around to ask how anything was so I couldnt even communicate something so poor. All 5 people at my table were beyond displeased, food horrible, service worse, we couldn't get out of there fast enough. The lady that cashed out my check asked how was the meal and I told her, and she even gave a snarky, well did you say anything? We would have remade it for you..... It was our first time there and the food was very tasty. We ordered the platter for two, plenty of food and left overs. The regular BBQ sauce used on the meats was sweet with a very slight kick. Awesome BBQ & Service! First time at this location of Famous Dave's. The wait time was not too bad for a good BBQ place, around 20-25 minutes. We were seated just after two large parties, so we knew there would be a bit of a wait for food, but our server Jose took great care of us while we waited. We had the BBQ chips, so warm, fresh, crunchy, and delicious. We also tried the cornbread. Now this was a nice, sweet treat, buttery and soft as well. For our main, we had the Loaded Baked Potato with Pork. Now this was a filling meal. The potato tasted like a high-end steakhouse, cooked to perfection. This was topped with the tender and very flavorful pork and crispy onions. The cheese, sour cream, butter, and BBQ sauce were served on the side. I wanted to get the coleslaw as well; this was crunchy, sweet, and so delicious! With my meal, I also tried the Black Cherry Lemon Soda. This gave my taste buds quite a surprise, like drinking a sparkling soda made of Nerds candies, yum! The atmosphere was a little on the loud side, but what you would expect from a large restaurant. Loved all the funny signs on the walls. As for service, this was a great experience, from the greeting from the hostess to our server Jose (who was awesome, by the way). Famous Dave's came to the rescue with a super short wait time, and our drinks and cornbread coming out immediately after we got seated. After getting some great recommendations from our server Amanda, our food came to our table in under 10 minutes! Hot and ready too! I was extremely surprised and the food definitely hit the spot!
