Hadn't been here in probably 20 years. Wasn't all that impressed at the time and hadn't returned. Decided to give it another try a few months ago and found they had completely updated the place. The restaurant was clean, the menu was updated and the service was excellent. My wife and I both commented on how surprisingly good the entire experience was and agreed we would return. We returned today and everything was just as amazing as our last visit. Our server Jay was great. She was very friendly and attentive. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. My husband ate here on May 28th and became severely ill shortly afterward. His condition was serious enough that he had to go to the hospital for treatment. This was an extremely stressful and frightening experience for our family. I understand that accidents can happen, but food safety should always be a top priority. I'm leaving this review because I do not want anyone else to go through what we experienced. This location did an overhaul of the inside and outside since I had last dined in. The overall experience was fantastic. Kudos to the chefs for making everything very well. The ribs were not over tender, but still bit off the bone easily. The brisket was juicy and tender. The roasted chicken was the hidden gem. Even the breast was juicy. And more kudos to Famous Jose for being in the front lines and taking care of us alongside the other tables. He made sure everything was in place before leaving the feast to be devoured. read more

We had the rib tips with potato Salad and baked beans The sides were pretty good and went well with the tips. We had a Watermelon margarita was strong and flavorful. The staff helped us quickly and she was helpful and got us served appropriately. We had originally ordered the burnt ends. We didn't like the sauce it was made with and we returned it. Large and clean restaurant and didn't have many people inside. It appears that there was a recent remodel of the restaurant. They served corn bread and it was sweet and delicious! This year for my work Christmas Party, the bosses wanted to cater from Famous Dave's. I inquire through online and decided to go with The Double Dave catering option that feeds for 50 ppl that has Cornbread, BBQ Chicken, Tri Tips, Coleslaw, and Potato Salad with utensils and serving tongs that costed $1127.50. The rep was extremely helpful and answered any questions I have since it's my first time using them and wasn't sure what to expect. I'm glad we were able to pick up the food before their opening time at 11 since that's the time our party starts. The day of the pick up was easy. The dishes were more than enough to feed. Awesome BBQ & Service! First time at this location of Famous Dave's. The wait time was not too bad for a good BBQ place, around 20-25 minutes. We were seated just after two large parties, so we knew there would be a bit of a wait for food, but our server Jose took great care of us while we waited. We had the BBQ chips, so warm, fresh, crunchy, and delicious. We also tried the cornbread. Now this was a nice, sweet treat, buttery and soft as well. For our main, we had the Loaded Baked Potato with Pork. Now this was a filling meal. The potato tasted like a high-end steakhouse, cooked to perfection. This was topped with the tender and very flavorful pork and crispy onions. The cheese, sour cream, butter, and BBQ sauce were served on the side. I wanted to get the coleslaw as well; this was crunchy, sweet, and so delicious! With my meal, I also tried the Black Cherry Lemon Soda. This gave my taste buds quite a surprise, like drinking a sparkling soda made of Nerds candies, yum! The atmosphere was a little on the loud side, but what you would expect from a large restaurant. Loved all the funny signs on the walls. As for service, this was a great experience, from the greeting from the hostess to our server Jose (who was awesome, by the way). Went on Valentine's Day. Family of three and we shared the feast for two. We also ordered a side salad. My family eyes went wide eyed when they brought the food out. We were all satisfied. Craved american bbq and with Lucille's wait time being 1.5 hrs, we decided to look elsewhere. Famous Dave's came to the rescue with a super short wait time, and our drinks and cornbread coming out immediately after we got seated. After getting some great recommendations from our server Amanda, our food came to our table in under 10 minutes! Hot and ready too! I was extremely surprised and the food definitely hit the spot! Amanda also hooked us up with some sweet dessert (banana & bread pudding) which also did not disappoint. Really wanted to provide a shout out to this locations great staff! The host was very nice, got us seated right away and our awesome server Famous Joe was fabulous! He was kind, very attentive, he asked my partner if he wanted a refill of tea as soon as he saw it going low. He checked in multiple times throughout the night and I loved that they let us munch on a block of cornbread while we waited for our feast for 2! The feast came with a half chicken, some of their famous chopped pork, 6 ribs, coleslaw, bbq beans, cornbread, a ton of fries, a piece of toast soaking up the chopped pork juices, and two corn on the cobs (can add butter or leave without butter). We also ordered a Mac n cheese bite appetizer. My partner got the unsweetened ice tea which comes in a large mason jar like glass and I ordered the strawberry limeade zero proof that was sweet and tart and flavorful. I think the full feast is 100% worth it! Tons of food available, we were able to take home some nice leftovers and the coleslaw and beans complemented the meats very well. Fries were all crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Chopped pork wasn't bad, but I'm not too big of a fan of shredded pork in general, but I did like the ribs! I generally like soft fall off the bone type of ribs but my partner really enjoys a good bite and chew so he thought they were delicious. The chicken was moist. Baked beans were spot on. I liked the Mac n cheese bites as they were crispy outside and soft and cheesy on the inside although my partner thought they were a little pricey. Every good BBQ joint has a variety of bbq sauces to meet the taste buds of a variety of customers and famous Dave's definitely got that with three kinds! I really liked rich and sassy as a balanced sauce but there's also a more Smokey sauce and the spicy 'devil's spit'. Overall, it was a great first experience for my partner. For our area, I think Famous Dave's is a solid place for good ol fashioned BBQ. read more

Had a great meal last week. My wife likes Dave's Sassy BBQ Salad and I had the Jacked-N-Stacked burger. The food was great but we didn't leave room for desert. Our server, Famous Jay was very attentive even though she was very busy. We had a few questions on some menu items and she thoroughly explained the differences. I have given this place personally several attempts, and it's just not good. And then we ordered brisket and our server lied to us. The cooks in the back lied to us tried telling us that it was brisket and clearly we got three servings of tri-tip and no brisket. There's a huge distinct difference between brisket and tri-tip you can see in the pictures below that we were given the exact same meat three different times and they really tried to convince us that it was brisket when in reality it was tri-tip. So we didn't like being lied to you. It'd be one thing if they just said we don't have brisket today that would've been fine. But trying to convince your customers who have been to countless barbecue places that what we were eating was brisket was insane. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because I felt bad for our server even though she was lying to us I felt bad. There's way too many other barbecue places that are 10 times better than this place. The meat was dry. Not flavorful... definitely don't recommend. It's a very casual place more like bar vibes going there for beers and watching the game and eating bar. Food would be more equivalent than it being an actual barbecue food place. And don't order the burnt ends. They are definitely not burnt ends. They're gelatinous piles of cubes that are not rendered down and smoked to have a nice casing on the outside and juicy flavorful center. read more
