They don't make a big deal about anything, offer cans of coke (my preference), and generally deliver the same decent quality pizza every time I order, and don't overcharge for their pies. Just got off the phone, 30 minutes after placing my order. I live in Van Nuys, This place is in Van Nuys. On the website I entered my address to see if they deliver to me. the website says they do. 30 minutes later, after many other places are closed, they call to tell me they can't deliver this far - because it's so far to the SAME f'n city. NOT cool. The order was placed, based on YOUR website. If you don't deliver this far, change your website. Otherwise, man up and deliver it anyway. It seems customer service means nothing. read more

REPULSIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE IMAGINABLE. I was a regular customer there and even became close with the manager. I ordered online one time and the prices were higher than in store. When I asked the manager, he said would not change the price for me. It was literally 8 dollars extra!!!!!! I was also a regular customer!!! He could have easily put in a take out order and wrote the online order as a "no pick up." Than he could have given us the online order. Or he could have given us free bread or wings. SOMETHING to make up for it. But he chose not to. I have worked in pizza places and fine dining restaurants. I know all the tricks in the book and this isnt even a corporation. But this man chose to rip off his regular customer. Because of that, I will NEVER be back. As a consumer it is important to shun the poor business. BAD EXPERIENCE again, and again, and again So a cousin of mine lives near this place. This is our 3rd experience, all of three horrible experiences. 1st time we ordered delivery... It was almost two hours late, when the driver got here I told him we were no longer hungry, however he said we can have the 2 pizzas for free. So we decided to be fair and give them another chance, ordered delivery again and this time we ordered wings and a salad as well... Oh man took them a little over an hour to get here, I called 3 times and every time the person said 5 more minutes, when the pizza finally got here, it was horribly cold, and the wings probably just got out of the fridge. Not to mention they brought no sauce for the wings, no parmasean or peppers for the pizza (which we mentioned while ordering) no napkins, and totally forgot our salad! Wow I mean who runs this place?? Well last night we figured hey 3rd times the charm and decided to get some pizzas, but this time we did take out order (I know it's like taking your disgusting ex girlfriend back over and over and over when she has been sleeping around with everyone including her "bestfriend") DON'T DO THAT! We got home and finally realized why this place is named famous 2x1 pizza. You get 2 shi*ty pizzas instead of 1 quality pizza. From the experience at this joint I really know and understand the statement you pay for what you get, however we still spent a minimum of $20 each time, so I'm guessing there slogan for 2x1 is "you can have 2 garbage pizzas instead of 1 amazing one." Famous pizza... You have failed to impress an unsatisfied returning customer. The dough was like a sponge, the cheese was worst than Kraft processed cheese, it felt like their pizza sauce was imported from another planet and there ingredients were not fresh. This wasn't once or twice but all three experiences. I believe in a three strike rule and guess what... YOURE OUT!!!! I would honestly starve to death before eating one of there PIZZAS ever again. I order pizza from here a couple lazy nights a month. They've got the BEST marinara sauce and they use it on their pizza. It's the best I've tried as far as taste and texture in a sauce next to Lido's pizza. I usually get the family deal for about $22. large pizza with 5 toppings, 10 wings and a 2-lt of soda. I love that they deliver. My items usually get there on time but half the time, they skip out on packing extra Parmesan and pepper flakes. The last time I ordered I was a little confused. The man who was delivering called, asked me to come out of my house and meet him by his car for the exchange. I didn't like that very much. What's the point of you delivering it to me, if you're still gonna make me come outside even though the place I was at was very open and unrestricted. Homeboy got mad I didn't tip but had he come to the door, he'd have gotten tipped just like every other delivery person who comes to my door. Well, this was bad, bad, bad, and ok. We were in the area looking at homes for sale and hungry. We saw this pizza place and decided to stop there and grab a slice or something so that we could keep going. We pulled into the lot - NO PARKING. It's such a small lot and few spaces and even with one business in the center closed, there was NO parking available. So, we left. But I was still hungry, so we parked a block away and walked. (Bad) We walked in and there were several people behind the counter. They all talked amongst themselves. They glanced our way, but no one gave us the time of day. No one moved. They didn't ask to take our order or anything. There was barely acknowledgement that we even stood there! We waited and waited and waited. Nothing. (Bad) Then, apparently it was the owner, he walked from the kitchen area, came to the front counter, sat down, did some paperwork, did some stuff on the computer, got back up and left that order area. Didn't speak to us. Didn't ask if we had been helped. Again, barely glanced at us. Nothing. (Bad). Foolishly, we waited. I was pretty pissed by this point. MANY minutes later, the apparent owner came back over and asked if we had been helped.... Um... NO! YOU didn't help us, none of these people standing here stopped their conversations to help us, NOTHING. So, he took our order. We turned around to sit, now one of the guys who had been behind the counter was sitting at a table and talking with another guy sitting at ANOTHER table. Another guy was sitting at the 3rd table. Guess what? they only have 3 tables! the guy at the 3rd table got up and offered us his table. he apparently papers the neighborhood with their flyers - well at least ONE of them has a clue! The food came and it was ok (ok). Hot and as ordered. I do think that they didn't offer us their special that they had and we overpaid but by that point, i just wanted to eat and get the heck out of there. As a "drive by" - i do not recommend. Maybe for their delivery and regulars, they do better. But i would never stop by again. And if we buy a place "in the hood"... guess what?!!!! read more

The first time I had there pizza it was great...although I was over charged in tax by a 1$, 2nd time I had there pizza months later it appeared to be under different ownership and my pizza was mediocre and not only that still over charging people by 1$!!! I asked the person charging me and the answer both times were its tax....I continued to explain that, that is way more than tax and got ok give me what you want as a response! Another thing I dont like about any business is the resale of Costco water and selling it for 1.00!! This is a wonderful local pizza place. For close to twenty bucks we got three large pizza's. One of them was not the correct one that was ordered so it was offered to us for free and then they prepared a a new pizza to replace the mistake. Also the delivery wait is long sometimes it takes 1 hour and 30 mins to get but we try to time it so we aren't starving for that hour. I've been ordering from this place for about 8 years now. there have been a few changes in ownership, but even that said, they make a great pizza. I'm partial to their pick up special which gives great price. perfect for picking up on way home. parking is an issue at times, but they do have an alley behind the store that you can park for a quick moment to pick up your pizza. their cheesy bread is also really good, and for 2.99 you can't go wrong. all in all, i like this place better than pizza hut, or dominos as 1)its a mom and pop place 2) most of the items on menu are made onsite (for the most part... most pizza places order sauce base and then modify from there) read more
