WHEN: Saturday @11am I came here the first time only to run in and buy some of the 3rd Culture Mochi Donuts ($4) back in January and thought this spot would be cool to work in. And that I did 2 months later! My sis and I got dropped off so we didn't have to deal with paid street parking. It was packed. We were going to awkwardly sit with strangers at a table that seated 6 but luckily we realized they have a 2nd floor! So up we went and found a table for us 2! This place is quite cozy and super hipster. It was raining out so the place felt cold. Here's what I ordered: MATCHA LATTE - $4.85 They pump a shot of vanilla syrup but I tasted none of it. My sis didn't like it so I just drank it cuz I don't have high standards to food like her. The drink also took like 20 minutes until my drink was ready. Okay it was probably 15 but felt like 20. I was able to use the restroom too while I waited! Maybe they do this to buy time for people to clear the tables and make room. Anyway, I like the vibe here and the merch. There's also seating outside on the sidewalk which would be nice on a warm sunny day. I might come back if it's convenient. read more

I come here about once a week to study on the bar upstairs and I'm always able to get a lot done. I usually get the whole health salad and a house coffee or the cortado. The coffee always hits and so does the salad. The atmosphere is always mellow, the music is always good, and depending on the time of day you come you get a different lighting atmosphere. If you can get the window spot in the front when the sun is reflecting off the building across the street you get some vibey golden hour type of lighting which feels good to read and journal in. There is always seating here, even on a weekend! The coffee is reliably perfect (they know what a flat white, and a cortado/gibraltar is and should be? AMAZING!) and the egg sandwich (add salmon!) is such a treat. It is large enough that my husband and I share one. We always add a pastry as they stock pastries from a range of local bakeries and they bake their own on site so the selection is fun and invariably delicious. Staff are typically courteous if a little brusque but that probably relates to how busy the counter gets, and the space is well lit and welcoming and offers a massive and well curated selection of lovely magazines to purchase and read while sitting there. Sweet coffee spot in Uptown! My friend and I went on a coffee tour in Uptown on an overcast Sunday morning, and Farley's was one of our favorite stops. The space is calm and welcoming. A few people were sitting spaced apart inside. It was so nice to see coffee shop culture perking up again! The space has lots of nice soft light and plenty of plants. They also have a wide assortment of magazines and newspapers available for purchase if you want something to read while sipping your coffee! I ordered their granola bowl with berries, bananas, and their homemade granola. The granola was lovely, with a nice crunch from almond pieces. We sat outside on their outdoor patio. Stopped into Farley's for a sugary afternoon pick-me-up. Thé café au lait ($4.25) was strong, and my pumpkin muffin was amazingly fresh (always a big relief because you never know from across the glass case if the pastries are going to be new or a little relic-y). The sugar icing on top combined with the coffee had my heart literally racing as we walked back home. Only giving four stars because the in-person vibes are off: there are signs everywhere saying NO LAPTOPS! YOU CAN ONLY STAY 45 MINUTES! MASK ON! And while I totally agree with the policies (we ARE still in a panini) I felt like the tone was a little aggro for such an otherwise chill space. read more

One of the few places that has healthy food portions for lunch in the area. It's nice the vegetables are crisp and there's thought in the dressing. You're not overloaded with grease sugar and oil which is the standard on this street which used to be a foodie haven. A big plus are the magazines but the clientele has gone decidedly less creative and brainy lately. Upstairs is laptop village and at the community tables people speak loudly and openly on cell phones conducting business calls. A huge contrast to two years ago when upstairs had a book corner. Coffee is great! I always stop by here and glad they didn't go under. They're a nice haven of good food and coffee in a neighborhood giving way to overpriced burgers and boba sugar Bombs. read more

We've eaten at Farley's a few times and the food, for the most part, has always been mostly good--UNTIL TODAY. Yesterday we placed a Caviar order for breakfast as well as one of their "Bake at Home" Mac & Cheese entrees, which we popped into the oven today. After eating a couple bites each (there are 3 of us), we thought that the Mac tasted "sour." We weren't fully sure if "it's just made with some really funky cheese?" or something, but our stomachs immediately started to turn. Upon further inspection, we noticed actual MOLD in the dish (see photos). I mean, how fng gross is that?!? We had placed this dish immediately in the fridge upon arrival and right into the oven a day later; it should be noted that it does take some time for mold to develop in food (especially cheese?!) which means this dish was left out for some time before it reached us (several days, at least), or was made with expired ingredients. Neither is acceptable, we are fully disgusted (and hoping no major health reactions come about), and will certainly NEVER order from them again. I welcome Farley's to contact us to explain themselves as this is *beyond* unacceptable (we tried calling - no answer and no ability to leave a message - also couldn't find an email on their website). I'm updating my review from 1 to 4 stars. I was contacted by Farley's and was clarified how the recent mistake was from Caviar's end not notifying me of an update. Frustrating, but not Farley's fault directly. I think I've still received too many of these incorrect orders to give a full 5 stars, but I recognize how it's likely most of those errors were also from Caviar's end. Thanks for reaching out. I'm keeping my old review below in case anyone read it before and wants a second opinion. ________________ I want to give this place 5 Stars bc the food is worth it... when correct. I used to love their veggie croissant breakfast sandwiches so much during the pandemic, I would order it regularly for delivery through Caviar. But in the past 18 months, they've messed up my order ~8/10 times to the point that I either needed to get a full refund or a reorder to fix it. If you want vegetarian and/or croissant and/or cheese add-ons to your breakfast sandwich, you should either (a) order in person (not even pickup), or (b) go somewhere else. Today is my last tolerated mistake from this place. Love your food, but can't stand being utterly disappointed and hungry every time I need a pick-me-up from life. The Americano that brought me here was good. But I tried their Turkey Pesto Panini which was super delicious. It really hit the spot. The great toasty slices of bread, perfectly melted cheese, and the hot slice of Turkey plus pesto really was well put together. Overall a great experience and spot to come back for. read more

I came on a weekend afternoon to get my caffeine fix and this place was pretty packed. I ordered latte ($4.75) and Ube Mochi donut ($3.75). The latte wasn't too strong and taste ok. As for the donut, it's from third culture bakery and I love their mochi donuts. On the first floor, they have some seats that's reserved for eating only and no laptops. It can be difficult to find indoor seatings around noon time. Meanwhile, on the second floor, you can use your laptop + there's some charging ports available but this floor was packed as well. They have free Wifi available. There's street parking available near this cafe. read more
