This was my first time here visiting in Sacramento. It is a nice small location with a small ambience with a menu that had a nice variety of choices (which made it really hard to pick from). We got the chicken Parmesan plate and sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were incredible and the cheese just melts in your mouth. My favorite was the french fries, whatever oil they cook them in or seasoned them with was garlic, and it was the perfect amount of flavor. The salad was beautiful. I couldn't figure out the dressing, but it was a nice hint of mustard and everything flowed together so nicely. The food is made to order so we happily waited 20 minutes, so just make sure to give yourself some time because it's worth it! I can't wait to come back I really want to try the butternut squash soup when it's on the menu! read more

We really enjoy their salads here. Both times we have eaten inside their restaurant. They prepare your order fresh each time. You may have a bit of wait but it's not too long. My wife gets their grilled salmon salad while I order the grilled chicken salad & we truly enjoy both salads not giving it up bc we want to devour our own as it tastes so good! Love the hemp avocado super salad base with dried fruits, walnuts & almonds, bits of chips & red onion, cucumber, sweet potato, lettuce, hemp, beets, sesame seeds, mandarin oranges & the orange vinaigrette dressing. The restaurant inside is urban casual yet clean & organized. The first time we arrived here we walked through the back entrance but it wasn't really a big deal. The parking in the back side is actually very shady due to lots of trees. It might be best during our extremely hot summers. Plus their AC works almost too well! It's a really cute restaurant and they have outdoor seating so I can walk my dog up here and eat outside. The lady and man that were working there were super friendly. I ordered the salmon salad which I loved. It was a great salad and the dressing that comes with it is delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I came here several years ago, when it was the green grill, and I didn't care for the food. So, I never came back. When I saw that the restaurant was now under a different name, I decided to give it another try. Boy, what a difference! It's a good menu, a couple of meat and seafood dishes, but primarily vegetarian/vegan. I love vegetarian/vegan food if it's done right. I started out with the lentil kebabs. They were delicious. They reminded me of a falafel, only with lentil instead of chickpeas. They were rich, and they were not greasy at all. They came with a pink dipping sauce, which reminded me of a fry sauce that you will get get in other restaurants. For my main course, I had the fried oyster mushroom sandwich. What a great sandwich. It was on a very good brioche bun, I loved the sauce that it came with, the veggies were crisp, and oh that mushroom. It was meaty, and it was just lightly breaded. It was amazing. For my side, I chose a cup of soup. As good as everything else was, the star of the meal was definitely that soup. It was a mushroom chowder. The veggies in it were good, I loved the seasoning, and it was rich and creamy. I didn't realize, until after the meal, that it was vegan, made with cashew milk. I honestly couldn't tell the difference. It tasted just like a "real" cream of mushroom soup, "cheffed up", with a lot of extra ingredients Excellent! Finally to drink, I had the mango mint lemonade. It was not too sweet, I could definitely taste the mango, and the mint was not overpowering. A fantastic drink. After my meal, I wanted to finish up with the Turkish coffee latte, but unfortunately they were out. I will have to get that the next time. I was about $30 out the door. Once I arrived I thought there was a modest entrance for the new spot with only two banners out front. But once inside I realized I was on the backside, as the hallway I was in led to a small sitting area. Once I was at the counter I looked over the menu for a couple minutes and eventually ordered a Crispy Chicken sandwich with fries. After ordering I realized the lady at the counter didn't ask if I wanted to dine in or if they order was to-go. Once I realized it and went to notify the staff the meal was already platted and ready. So I apologized for the hassle and asked to have it to-go, but the staff obliged. I came here for dinner and I was blown away. I started off with some lentil Kebab which is a really nice vegetarian appetizer which is kind of like a hash brown but a more healthy version of it. The sandwich has a really nice Crunch and it comes with cucumber lettuce tomato onions and deep fried oyster mushroom. . I also love their chicken tikka Bowl which is really creamy and flavorful with all the spices. They use white chicken meat for their chicken and it was really moist and tender. The sauce is vegan and it is made with cashew milk. I noticed that it isn't too heavy like your regular heavy cream. I highly recommend getting their chicken tikka Bowl if you love Indian curry. . I also got there veggie falafel Tikka which is really good as well and it comes with really nice fluffy basmati rice and a really nice salad. . I also got their salmon salad which was amazing. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The salad had really nice almond walnuts fresh beets fresh Mandarin and also it comes with a really nice dressing like a orange citrusy dressing homemade. I also like their fresh avocado inside the salad. . They had a friendly service with letting people know about all the healthy options they have in gluten-free options and begin and vegetarians. The Ambiance is cozy and feels hidden and a really nice clean Cafe. . I highly recommend getting there sandwiches to rice bowls if you are looking for something healthy and gluten-free also did you have your vegan and vegetarian options as well. It is a nice hidden little cafe where it could be easily missed or not discover. If you find yourself in the zinfandel Rancho Cordova area make sure to try and bookmark the spot. I thought, there, is a lot going on in here, but it all paired well. The cranberries, the oranges, the fish was cooked to perfection and didn't taste fishy nor smell. Super fresh, the almonds, the squash, the delicious secret dressing and crunchy flat bread, and avocado- my goodness! So good. I'm plant-based, my husband likes spicy foods, while my 5 year old can be very picky, and my one year old is along for the ride. Farm Plates was able to serve something every one enjoyed! My husband ordered the oyster mushroom sandwich, which he devoured. He said it was filling but didn't leave him feeling "heavy." Our five year old was the wildcard, who got the grilled cheese and fries. She. Ate. Everything!! Now you may be thinking, "it's a grilled cheese, of course she ate it." I can't tell you how many times we've ordered a grilled cheese from other restaurants, and she takes two bites and leaves the rest untouched (and since I'm vegan and my husband is lactose intolerant, there's no chance of either of us eating it).
