This was my first trip, and I was not terribly impressed. This is the farm fresh breakfast with hash browns. I paid a reasonable 9.67 for it. Looks decent enough, right? Good portion for the price? Check! So we're just down to flavor as far as I can tell. Thats where we go astray. The hash browns taste almost as if they've been dehydrated, then reconstituted before being fried, if that's it I don't know, but in any case they taste HIGHLY processed. Eggs lacked salt and sausage was a little under salted as well. This was a really good portion, one that would normally completely satisfy my appetite, but I feel like I could eat again. Or something else, but after all that food i shouldn't be hungry! This all leads me to believe the quality of food is really really poor. I can't imagine any reason that I'd be back. read more

If I could I wouldn't give any stars, I ate at farmer boys in Lodi this afternoon 1/15/18 and never again will I go back! I've had to spend most of my day in the bathroom with diarrhea and puking my guts up! Not fun coming outta both ends, I feel awful and I wouldn't wish this feeling on my worst enemy. I should of just threw my $25 bucks down the toilet cuz that's exactly where it ended up anyways! Stay away from this location I've read quite a few reviews on Facebook all saying the same thing how they got sick after eating here. Lodi being my hometown I love to support the local businesses but I will never go back and recommend no one else does! Farmer Boys is the best! One of my favorite fast food locations in town. You get huge portions and the food feels like it's way better quality than McDonalds or Jack in the Box. Plus, Farmer Boys has way more options than either of the other two! One of my favorite meals on the menu is the sourdough chicken avocado sandwich. I seriously crave it all the time. Their french fries are also my favorite ever. I'm a huge fry person, they're probably one of my favorite foods, and I am very particular about them. The crunchy version that they now sell is so dang good! So glad they changed them because the kind they sold before were soft and bland and just not good at all. I have tried multiple things on the menu, and have loved everything so far. Also, their Oreo milkshake......... Just do it if you haven't already. Seriously. You will thank me! As far as service goes, everyone is so nice! That's part of why I go back because the staff is always super friendly and don't give that "I hate working here so I'm gonna be monotone and show you how much I hate my job" attitude. Every person who has helped me has been so kind and friendly, so whoever is doing the hiring at this location is doing a great job! I really hope Farmer Boys lasts in Lodi. I know businesses struggle to stay here sometimes which is such a bummer, especially when they're all around good like this place. I also like that they offer a rewards program. I've already gotten free fries and $$ off my order. Anything with a rewards program is the way to go in my eyes! read more

On a whim, decided to buzz in to check Farmer Boys out today for lunch. A friend had already given me a tip to download the VIF Farmer Boys app so that I can have a $5 credit and so that I can earn points every time I go there. I had seen the photos of their salads and that was what I was hungry for. I ordered the chopped Cobb salad and I was not disappointed on the portion size/value or the freshness. I also ordered a 4 piece side of fried zucchini (which came highly recommended from my friend who told me about the Farmer Bros rewards app) as well as a 4 piece onion rings. With my $5 credit from having already downloaded the rewards app, the total came to about $12 and some change. The cashier taking my order was patient with me and answered the questions I had about their menu. I got my order to eat in the restaurant and I was surprised at how quickly the food arrived. The staff delivering food to the table were very courteous and helpful and came by several times to check if I needed anything. This is the kind of restaurant where you order and oh at the counter before sitting down at a table so I was pleasantly surprised that the staff came around the dining room to check on people. (PS they also have a drive-thru) The Cobb salad was just what I was craving - the lettuce was fresh and the portion was ample. The blue cheese dressing was not too thick and had a good flavor. Fried zucchini and the onion rings have a very light batter which I liked (possibly with a cornmeal coating) as some places make these with too thick of a batter which can disguise not much substance inside and overwhelm you with too much greasy batter. Zucchini and onion rings were both huge! Zucchini still were firm on the inside which I found to be cooked just right. The ranch that goes with these sides were a nice compliment. Took half the onion rings and zucchini Jim and enjoyed for dinner. I am giving Farmer Boys 4 stars as I felt like the food quality and portion sizes were a good value for the money, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I will return to sample some more yummy-looking items from their menu soon. read more

Sometimes great Customer service comes from unexpected places. The family and I stopped into Farmer Boys for dinner. We have never been treated badly here and service is usually acceptable to good. But tonight was different. Tonight we were met at the counter by Eddie, an extremely polite and astute employee who was probably management. My wife noticed they had fish and chips on the menu and I love good fish and chips. So I inquired about them and Eddie gave me a solid sales pitch. But in the end I declined as I was hungry and not looking to take a chance on something as easily ruined as fish. We paid and sat and as we waited here comes Eddie with a piece of fried fish. He had the cook prepare a piece for me to try so that I wouldn't have to wonder if it was any good. I was really surprised to see a young man take such ownership in his work and in his customers experience. And the fish was spot on too. Thanks Eddie. Thanks Farmer Boys. read more

The bacon was really salty, which okay bacon CAN be salty, but I serve bacon every single day and ours isn't salty like that- I know fresh cooked bacon from not fresh and this wasn't fresh.... 1 slice of tomato for the whole burger, um okay? The hubby got the one with jalapenos on it. He said it was fine. The fries were kind of soggy and almost burnt tasting. So not really good. The onion rings went straight into the trash. We ate a couple- me one, hubby maybe 3? We had 2 orders of them so quite a bit went to waste. They tasted like pure old oil. Yes I know they are fried... but there is a difference between tasting like old oil and tasting like a fried onion ring. They had zero taste under the oil taste. I was really hoping to enjoy it but I didn't. But you won't know until you try right? So in our opinion- not worth the bucks. read more

When this place first opened up I enjoyed it. I love salads and I was especially fond of their cobb version, although it is a bit expensive. It came with lots of lettuce, bacon, chicken, tomato, egg, cheese.. all the fixings. The second time I went back I waited in the drive-thru line for almost twenty minutes while there was only one car ahead of me. This time though the cobb salad was missing the egg and avocado. I was annoyed, but already home so I just ate it anyway. I went back a third time because I had a $5 off coupon and decided, once again, on a cobb salad. This time there was hardly any lettuce in it (about half of what there usually is) and they forgot the avocado (this is way after the whole "current avocados aren't good enough for us" fiasco) and cheese. I guess it's my fault for not learning to check the salad after it was messed up once, but still.. After paying close to $9 for salad for it only to come out different each time, and not for the better, I'm just not impressed anymore and won't be returning. Mistakes happen, but they shouldn't be consistent. Two stars because the staff has always been friendly. read more

Been here twice already for drive-thru breakfast- had the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon- super tasty!! I love trying French toast at different places and this one I would return for! Everything tasted hot and fresh. Second time we went there I ordered the California Omelette with hash browns and white toast. The omelette itself was delicious, covered in melted cheese and full of good bacon bits, REALLY good with the fresh slices of perfect avocado on top. I generally like my hashbrowns to be crispy and these were not at all, I might ask for them that way next time and see how they come out. I shared this omelette meal with my three-year-old and I'm pregnant and we still didn't finish it!!! Great portion size here! My husband had the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Burger (gone after 5/22/17) and said it was DELICIOUS!!! Can't wait to try more items!!!! Also, I downloaded their app and signed up for their VIF program- already got $5 off the last order we placed, received points for referring people and scanning our receipts and have another $5 off our next order and an offer for free french fries with our next purchase!! Terrible service today. It wasn't the complete incorrect order that was upsetting but how we were treated when bringing it to their attention. The cashier acted offended when we told her it was the wrong order. She snapped and just said "well what's wrong with it" and we told her the sandwiches were not ours. She snatched the bag and threw it in the trash then said they would make it over. Even though she was very rude, we let it go. After waiting 15 minutes we approach the counter to ask where our food was. She said "we're going to do yours next because we had other orders to get done first." Common sense should tell you if you messed up on someone who is already waiting, you fix it right away. This made my husband so upset that we just left. So we basically paid $34 not to eat at all and be treated extremely poorly. In addition they do not appear to be practicing proper safety measures for Covid. The cooks were not wearing gloves or masks and touching their face then handling the food. We won't be going back here for sure. read more

Been here 3 times, all for burgers. As far as burgers go, this place is legit. I'm surprised at some of the bad reviews on here. The three times I have been to Farmer Boy's I have received exactly what I have asked for, it has been hot and fresh and the service has been quick and upbeat. I will admit, I wasn't very impressed with the fried zucchini sticks, they were perfectly cooked but lacked flavor. The fries are delicious though. We went here on the way home and had the usual, farmer burger combo with the onion rings. The place inside is very awesome and reminds me you are in the farm. Place was not too busy that time and it was around 6pm before we left home. Oh yes there is a pokestop as well :) Yu get 4 big onion rings and a lot of ranch. The onion rings are much better than I can recall as I remember sometimes it has a lot of batter, but this time the batter was enjoyable to eat. Service was great as well and they do it with a smile too and the manager came up to us and asked us if we liked the food and asked if we needed anything which we liked. First time here went well. We walked into a place that was semi busy. It was easy ordering and the guy taking our order (Jay) was friendly. We ordered: Farmer's Cobb Salad - so huge! it was very fresh and came in a good size bowl for mixing. It had a lot of bacon, but I wished there was more chicken. I would definitely order it again. Bacon Boy Burger (?) or something close to that - Lots of bacon and tasted great. We had the combo with onion rings. Onion rings were okay. They are huge but soggy. The ranch that came with it was very watery. It didn't even stick to the onion ring and we had to eat our food as if we were eating soup. Farmer Boy's - This one was great! Avocado, bacon, two patties..the whole shabang. This one had almost everything. It came with fries that were soggy, but I guess that's how their fries are here. It didn't taste bad tho. Everything tasted great and is worth the price. Zucchini sticks - very big.. and may be too big. It's like a zucchini cut in quarters. They are just battered zucchini, not much flavor but mom said a couple were bitter. Overall, we spent $38. The food was great and service was too. When they aren't taking orders, they go around asking customers if they are enjoying their food. They also clean up after by taking our plates and trash.
