Farmer Boys has been open in lodi for 7 or eight months now and our family has eaten there a half dozen times since then. Each experience has been different so I wanted to wait to give a balanced review. We had dinner there tonight and I feel ready. It's my opinion that the restaurant deserves 5 stars for service. They always have friendly, helpful staff and we have never had any issues dealing with employees. I have had a few different experiences with the food, as we were clearly served burnt sandwiches and onion rings on one occassion (to be fair they were particularly busy that day) and virtually inedible food another time. Overall the food is good and if we had waited and complained, I think they most likely would have remade our food. Still with poor food quality experiences a quarter of the time, I can't give them 5 stars. The decor is cute and the business is typically clean and you can expect to spend about $15 per person here. We will most likely continue to patronize this establishment and it is nice to have alittle extra variety in restaurants to choose from. read more

Don't waste your money. My elderly father went to get dinner. We ordered 4pc fish platter, which comes with salad. No salad was in the bag. Two (4) pc onion rings, one order contained onions with no batter, the other had onion rings with wet unfried batter, soggy but with raw onions inside. The fish tasted like dirty kitchen oil (think Kitchen Nightmares, we need Gordon Ramsay). The fries were soggy and disgusting. My Dad is a trusting man, didn't check the order. This meal was inedible. We split it between four people and ALL OF US found it nauseating. How disappointing. Save your money and go to Long John's. Oh, and when we tried to call and complain, the phone says to press zero and then tells you that option is not available and hangs up. This place is terrible. read more

If a business is going to require patrons to wear a mask then I think they should wear them as well, especially the kitchen staff. It's fun to try a new restaurant. This one opened where McDonalds used to be in Lodi by the old Walmart. The place was very full. There are booths around the perimeter and table and chairs in the middle. It was very noisy. The service was nice enough. You go and order then sit down with a number on the table. I had the California BLT with zucchini sticks and onion rings. The sandwich was okay...pretty much adequate...but the onion rings were barely warm and poorly seasoned. They came with a ranch dressing which was fine. The zucchini sticks were huge but bland. The breakfast my husband ordered was okay. It looked good enough for $5.99 I might try a burger there sometime as they are highly acclaimed...but I'm in no rush. I'm just glad to see new restaurants opening and this one was worth a try. I been here about 8 or 9 times and it's time to write a review. I always come here for the breakfast items and they are always hot, fresh and tasty. I love the orange juice especially and usually get 2 of them. The prices for the orange juice are a little high at 3.39 but worth it too me. My favorite items on the breakfast menu are the French Toast platter and the breakfast burrito. The French Toast is on par with a nice sit down restaurant and the price is wonderful. The breakfast burrito is loaded full of meat and eggs. It's perfect if your hungry. The decor of the inside is nice and the place is very clean and I always see someone wiping down tables and keeping things clean and tidy. I use the iPhone app and coupons to save some dough and it works well. I have never had the burgers and I will do a review on those next time. read more

The fried Zucchini was amazing and everything is truly fresh! I didn't like the fries because I like them much more crispy, but we will just have to remember to order them that way! I do door dash to order my food and THREE times now around the same time in the evening 9-9:30ish my order can't be delivered because even though the restaurant is supposed to be open until 10pm they are closing between 9-9:30 pm. Surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet as I've been here many times already. That alone should tell you how much I love going here. The food is always great and plenty. My go-to item is the Chicken BBQ Ranch salad. Their salads can feed like 2-4 people and for $9 thats a really great deal. The crispy zucchinis, one of my go-to sides if I ever get a combo. Their onions rings, like the crispy zucchinis, are huge. The customer service is always top notch. When I was there last week, I had noticed I had a coupon for a free 4-piece onion rings that expires the next day, but it was only redeemable with purchase and I had already made a purchase. I asked the cashier, Cliff, if it was possible to redeem it even though I already made the purchase. He was able to give me the onion rings with the coupon without any additional purchase, so that was great of him. All the other staffs members I interacted with then abd before were always very helpful as well. They'd go around every so often to see how everyone is doing and seeing if anyone needed anything like sauce and stuff like that. Thanks to COVID-19, eating out consists of drive-thru dinning. We were hungry and decided to order a bunch of stuff and split it so that we got to taste many items. Service was slow. It seemed like it took a half an hour from the time we drove into the drive-thru line until we received our food. Ok, that might be an exaggeration; but, it was at least fifteen minutes. We ordered: chicken sandwich, spicy chicken sandwich, sourdough chicken avocado sandwich, natural burger, farmer's burger, onion rings, fries, and zucchini sticks. Fries were good; but, there was nothing special about them. Zucchini sticks were giant slices of zucchini with not enough breading. Onion Rings were the same as the zucchini sticks, too much onion, not enough breading, and under cooked. My daughter suggested that both the zucchini sticks and onion rings would be better with a good tempura batter. We all agreed that the natural burger was the best of the order. The farmer's burger came in second. It seems hard to believe that the avocado detracted from the burger's flavor. We all liked the chicken sandwich and agreed that we would order it again. Spicy chicken was good but definitely lacking in the spicy department. The sourdough chicken avocado sandwich finished dead last in our tastings. The sourdough bead was good; but the chicken was bland and the avocado added nothing to the sandwich. Farmer Boys is not our first choice for drive-thru dinning; but, when the line down the street is too long, Farmer Boys is a good compromise. read more

Will not be back to this location. Something must be going on with management or staff because the food quality has tanked. Received my chopped Cobb salad and everything on it was rotten and old. The avocado was slimy and smelled. The chicken seemed like it was days old- cold and hard. The egg also smelled rotten. My husbands cheeseburger had tomato on it that was old/not Fresh.
