The Rancher Eating this like 3 hours later and it's still good...

I wanted to try this place since I was craving salad (trying to be healthy..) and I'm so glad I did. It is amazing! I wasn't a fan of chopt and other salad places so I was hesitant but I'm glad I tried this place out. This is my new go to place. I called because I couldn't find them on DoorDash and one of the workers was so kind to help me out and send me a link herself. I ordered THE RANCHER. And wow. Doesn't taste nasty at all haha it's so good it can definitely pass as a happy good meal. I plan on trying their quinoa bowl next. Hope it's just as good. The price is not cheap and not totally expensive so:T not bad. Haven't been to the store but when I'm in Chantilly I plan on stopping by with friends and cousins.

Tried this restaurant today for the first time and loved it! Clean, relaxed atmosphere, food was delicious and fresh, and service was amazing. Angela was amazing and took care of us in recommending fresh juice and sauce for the bowl. I'd eat this everyday!! I got to the quinoa and kale bowl

If you love fresh, customizable salads with quality ingredients, this place is a dream. Everything tastes crisp, clean, and thoughtfully put together, making it easy to eat well without feeling like you are missing out. I also love their drinks--refreshing, well-balance, and a great complement to the food. It's one of the places that feels welcoming the moment you walk in. The space is bright, clean, an family-friendly, making it a great spot for a casual meal, whether you are dining with kids or meeting friends. Service is friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe is relaxed and approachable.

The service was great. Everyone was so nice and kind. They walked you through everything so that you know what you were picking and you knew what you were getting in your salad. The restaurant was clean. It was nicely decorated, and I really like the open air and light concept of it, and the music was quiet enough that me and my coworkers could have a really good conversation and still have like light music in the background. The food was amazing. I loved my salad. It made me feel really good to go about the rest of my day having such a well balanced and well nutrition, salad, and lunch. I for sure I'm going to go there again and I know my coworkers loved going there.

Pardon me but this is about the most tastiest salad I have ever eaten. Ate ? Eaten? Whatever you know what I mean. Holy mackerels . When I tell you I took my first bite and my eyes rang "I have to YELP this". All of my coworkers have preached about how good this place was, and now... I promise to always trust their tastebuds lol The staff was super super sweet too. And very clean eating area and food line. I love the chill vibes. I give it a ........ BIG WHOOPIN 10

I always recommend this place when people ask about a salad place. For size, market, and service the prices are very reasonable. I LOVE the rancher and got it this time with my uncle. He loved it as a first timer and I loved it as a loyal customer. Definitely recommended to try! This place is clean and quiet for a relaxing lunch out.

Online Pickup order thru website. East to navigate. Had 2 bowls. 1 was a qinoua bowl with Caesar dressing. Lettuce, Kale, beans, friko.(baked parmesan cheese chips) and other veggies! It was delicious! A grilled cheese and another bowl. Two cookies . Tho very tasty. They are very small. Maybe 2 inches wide. Might as well Include them with the meal for free than to charge for them.

There's a new fast-casual spot in town at the Commonwealth at Chantilly Shopping Center, taking over the former Farmtruck Pizza and Greens location. Meet Farmside Kitchen, a cozy, homey alternative where you can build your own bowl or pick from their signature farm bowls. Think Chipotle or Cava but with an extra touch of American comfort. I gave a few of their premade farm bowls a try, starting with The Rancher. It's loaded with grilled chicken, black beans, corn, and avocado, and topped off with a honey sriracha sauce. The cool part? You can choose your sauce level either light, medium, or heavy, depending on your mood. Next up was the Farmside Bowl, featuring grilled chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, and a balsamic vinaigrette. It felt like a warm hug in a bowl. If you're going for something vegetarian, the Local Farmer is a great choice. It has a fresh mix of strawberries, feta cheese, corn, and avocado. You can even add a protein to make it heartier. Their house-made drinks are the perfect complement to your meal. I loved the Sparkling Pineapple Mint and the Strawberry Rosemary Lemonade. They were refreshingly flavorful without being too sweet. For a dessert, I tried a salted caramel chocolate chunk cookie -- yum! Everything at Farmside Kitchen is made with fresh ingredients sourced from local farms, and what really stood out was that I left feeling full and satisfied without the heaviness. It's a perfect spot for anyone looking for a healthier meal that still feels hearty and inviting. Can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!

We were looking for a place to eat in Chantilly...There are so many options, but we were so happy to try Farmside. Super fresh and unique options. My wife had The Rancher, and I had Kale and Quinoa. Both are served with a slice of fresh bread. The interior is organized, bright, super clean and a great fast, casual option. I highly recommend this place!!

First time here. This place has an edge over the two best known places for bowls as it is more than just Mediterranean or Mexican. Pick from a broad range of bowls or build your own. The restaurant was clean, service was friendly and efficient. They also had plenty of seating.

I'm shocked at how much I like Farmside Kitchen. I thought it would be just another make-your-own-bowl type of place, nothing too special. I ordered take-out and the bowls were packed full, with sauce on the sides without having to specify. This might be the best caesar salad I've ever had. The addition of quinoa, parmesan crisps, and cherry tomatoes made it much more filling and the tomatoes gave it another level of freshness. The dressing was perfect to me, as in not fishy at all and heavy on the garlic.

We were happily greeted in and seated. They weren't too busy on this Sunday evening. For apps we decided on the crab guacamole, peel and eat shrimp, and the fried trio- Oysters/Calamari/Shrimp that came with marinara and a roumalade. I noticed a Chipotle sauce that came with another shrimp dish and asked for that instead. The chips were fresh and tasty. Guac was also good the crab sat on top the guac. Peel and eat shrimp well seasoned with old bay. The fried trio was amazing as well. Everything perfectly fried and the Chipotle sauce delicious! For mains we went with the Chilean sea bass and lobster special. Fish and lobster was well prepared in a creamy sauce on top of mashed potatoes. Delicious and the potatoes were plentiful. We also tried the Chef's Ocean Elegance - Seared scallops and crab stuffed shrimp on top of garlic mashed potatoes topped with green onion and mushrooms in a lemon caper sauce. We were unfortunately served the branzino topped with only the Chilean garlic sauce and not the lemon caper sauce at all. The server wasn't seeming to know what to do with our dissatisfied reaction, so we decided to salvage the fish and ordered the lemon caper on the side, it tasted bland at best. Fish was fine, but unfortunately there was nothing worth mentioning positively about it for its $37 price point. *Neither sauce was worth ordering and unfortunately neither tasted how they were described, more like plain aioli. In our ignorance, we didn't realize branzino meant the whole fish would be served versus a filet. It would have been nice to have been able to read that fact on the menu prior to ordering. We ordered the truffle fries, which had probably zero amounts of truffle on them. Overcooked. We ordered the tropical mojito mocktail, and it was either poorly made or the recipe could use a complete reset. The crab stuffed mushrooms and sauce, amazing. Server, kind. We were asking quite a few questions of him, trying to decide between the Chilean with lobster or the branzino, which showed our ignorance in the fish choices, I believe. A good server would have picked up on this, and went into a much more detailed explanation of both dishes to educate and inform us on making the right decision. So I think it's pretty accurate to say that a good majority of the problems we had could have been salvaged had he been a little more seasoned at reading the individual needs of his customers. Although, with ordering either of these entrees or the truffle fries, we would have been disappointed as the flavor was just not there. Being out of towners used to seafood from California, we were excited to try a new place on the east coast. I read multiple positive reviews from other customers, and unfortunately we are leaving disappointed in the $80 spent. We joked that perhaps the usual chef called in sick and the bus boy took his place. Underwhelming. Overcooked. Bland. But, they had pretty tables.

Colin also did an outstanding job taking care of us throughout the meal. He was attentive without being overbearing, which made for a really enjoyable experience. I went with the Cowboy Ribeye Burger with truffle fries. The burger was delicious! The shaved ribeye and creamy horseradish really set this burger apart from your typical burger. The truffle fries were a little too oily for my liking, but they had great flavor and were nice and crispy. And because I'm a sucker for cheesecake, I had to try the Mountain Berry Cheesecake. The portion was HUGE and absolutely delicious. Portion sizes here are generous across the board, and we had plenty of leftovers to take home. Lazy Dog also brews its own beer, so naturally I had to try the Liquid Blanket IPA. It did not disappoint--good hoppiness with hints of citrus and pine. I'll definitely need to come back and work my way through some of their other house beers. Overall, Lazy Dog exceeded my expectations. Great food, generous portions, a massive menu, house-brewed beer, and excellent service from Colin. With this much on the menu, I'll definitely be back to try something else!
