They got the job done, and they did it quickly. However, given that all I was doing was having a link added, the $29.95 price tag was quite steep for a service that took a grand total of 2 minutes. I definitely could have gotten this service elsewhere for much cheaper, but at that point I wasn't up for taking another trip elsewhere to get my watch adjusted. Although the adjustment was done well, I can't help feeling that the price was a bit ridiculous. I had them install a new battery in a watch ages ago, and 1) it was dead on arrival, 2) the case back was put on incorrectly, so the gasket didn't seat and the waterproof watch was no longer waterproof. Fine, I chocked it up to a bad decision on my part and didn't go there again. But my wife, not knowing this history, just took her watch in for a battery and guess what, dead battery. I carelessly threw my pink, rhinestone, cat eyed glasses in the abyss of my giant purse. Moments later, I heard a sickening crunch. I peaked inside to find my Ferragamo glasses in two pieces. FML. I considered supergluing it back together, but I was advised by my friends that it would be a stupid idea. So, rather than gluing/taping it back together, I opted for some professional help. I first took my battered frames to the Lenscrafters at Westside Pavillion. They took one look and referred me to the "jewelry repair store next to the pretzel place". Two floors up, on the other side of the mall was "Fast Fix Jewelry" boasting a one hour turnaround. I showed them my glasses and inquired about the price, thinking it would be around $20. Nope, it was $40! $40 for them to spend less than 5 minutes soldering it together. Price was ridiculous, but I paid. I didn't feel like searching for another place as I needed it fixed asap. I ended up coming back the next day to pick them up. It was in one piece, but I'm still convinced I could used superglue for the same result. So they get 3 stars for putting the pieces back together and lose a star for the pricing. read more

Thieves! We sent a bracelet chain in to be repaired and two pieces came back missing. We attempted to resolve this amicably, thinking they were just still at the store. Instead we received an angry phone call that was incoherent at best. First I was told he would replace the bracelet, then that he wouldn't and the burden of proof was on me to prove pieces were missing. He repeatedly asked me why he would steal a "cheap piece of costume jewelry". He told me I could contact his lawyer and he wasn't going to waste a minute sending me any of the paperwork he had. Hope he gives better customer service to those clients he hopes to retain. read more

I would only recommend Fast Fix @ Westside Pavillion to anyone who is looking for something to keep them busy for a few days. For Example: One of the diamonds from a diamond hoop earring fell out and had to be reset. I thought this was a fairly easy thing to do so I went to Zales and asked if they could reset it & how long would it take. The rep at Zales stated that they send all repair work out so it could take 10-15 days. I had a few events planned for the weekend so I really wanted to get it fixed ASAP. The rep mentioned Fast Fix so I stopped by to get an estimate. The owner quickly examined the earring & said it was not a problem; he would fix it by applying "gold" (white gold) to the back of the earring to help set the diamond & the charge was $30.00. I thought that was a "fair" price so he said to come back in 1 hour. When I went back to pick up the earring I was so happy that the diamond was "in place," I thanked them & headed home. As I was getting ready for a night out, I was putting my earrings on and the "repaired" earring just fell out as I tried to snap the hoop in. Not only did the earring fall, but the diamond was missing! It fell out...so much for the "fast fix." I immediately called the shop and informed them that the earring was "not fixed" and that I nearly lost the diamond. The owner said to "bring it back" but I told him I had plans for the night so I wouldn't be able to take it back until Sunday morning. I brought it back on Sunday 45 mins. after the store opened (11:45am) and was told to come back in "1 hour." I went to pick up the earring and was told that they "put more gold" on the earring and that I "wouldn't have a problem now." I quickly looked at the repair job and went home. Sunday afternoon as I was getting ready for a party in which I wanted to wear the earrings, I was putting the "fixed" earring on & it slipped off again. I made the mistake of rushing out of the store before carefully examining the earring & not checking the clasp. Once again, I called the shop & told them that the clasp was not working & probably the reason why the earring fell off the night before. Again, I was told to bring it back in & they would "fix it." No apologies, nothing. I rush back to the mall & was told it would be fixed right away. This time I stayed in the shop & watched the owner "fix" my clasp with a pair of jewelry pliers. He quickly handed back the earring and said "it works now." I checked the clasp & noticed that the earring was completely bent out of shape & would no longer lay flat on the counter. I told him that the earring is bent now & asked if HE could fix it; if not, I would have asked for a refund & taken it to a PROFESSIONAL JEWELER where it would take a few days to repair. He told me to "come back in 20 minutes" & it would be fixed. I shopped around the mall (again) & went back in 1/2 an hour only to be told that he didn't get to it & that I had to leave it overnight. At this point, I wanted to take my earring & demand a refund but I was curious to see how this "fiasco" would turn out. I asked the owner when my earring would be ready & he said he would call me. I asked him if it could be ready on Monday (today) because I wanted to wear the earrings this week. He said he would "try to fix by Monday (today)" & that he would call me. It's Monday afternoon & I don't hear from anyone. I called the store around 2:00 pm & asked if the earring would be ready after work. He said he "was busy" & that "sure, come by after work." I went back around 5:15 pm today & wasn't even greeted with a "hello" or "how are you." All I got was my earrings handed back to me and a "I'm busy" GREETING! He's busy! I'm busy too. Had I known I would have wasted 4 (FOUR!!!) trips to the mall to do a simple repair on a diamond earring, I would have opted to stick with my first instinct, leaving the earring @ Zales & waiting for a good repair job. I'm home looking at my "fixed" earring & it's still not the way it should be but the diamond is in place (for now) & the clasp seems to work OK but the earring looks a little bent; not as good as when I dropped it off on Saturday! My advice to anyone thinking about going to Fast Fix; THINK AGAIN. read more

Total ripoff and total garbage. Brought 2 watches in for a battery replacement. One watch also needed one something on the face reglued to the surface. I got charged almost $200 because the batteries were "premium." Mind you, these are Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors watches, not Rolex. I paid because I work nearby and was in a rush. Bought a new watch from Bloomingdales and was given a voucher to go to Fast Fix to have it adjusted for free (literally takes 5 minutes to do and can be done by just about anyone with the right tool). Walked up to Fast Fix and a very overweight man in a pink button up looked at me and mouthed "closed" even though there were people inside he was talking to. After he let out his friends, I popped my head in and I asked what time they closed today. As he turned off all the lights without making eye contact, he said "4:45" (I started typing this review at 4:38). When I told him the time, he simply shrugged and walked away. I get you wanna leave early and my service was going to be complimentary, but simple manners shouldn't be omitted when you interact with customers. Not an excellent experience. Brought a pair of earrings with a broken post in on Saturday, manager said he would have them ready on Sunday and it would be "expensive" because they would have to remove the stone to repair the post. He quoted me #40 dlls plus 13 for a replacement white gold earring backing. I went for it anyway because I didn't have time to shop around and go somewhere else. I came back to pick them up on Monday (Day after they were supposed to be ready), and the repair person had to look around for the earrings for a while and when he found them, he realized the manager "never told him about this repair", and it was not done. The repair person looked at it and said he could have it done in 10 mins. I went to get something to eat, came back in 30 mins...still not ready, waited around another 15 minutes, and paid what I feel is a high price and got out of there. Overall what I got was a good repair, but I overpaid for it, and it wasn't ready when it was supposed to be. By the way, I called about 5 times over the course of Sunday and Monday to see if the repair was ready and they never answered the phone any time. If I ever need another repair, I will probably look elsewhere. read more

I took my vintage ring in that I wanted to use as my wedding ring. The jeweler told me it could not be sized smaller, which I was fine with. He then took a look at my vintage engagement ring. He said that the prawns were loose on my diamonds and needed to be replaced ASAP, which would cost over $500. He was very pushy and said I should leave it with him otherwise he won't be able to get it done by the next day. I was leaving town for my bridal shower and needed my ring, but also didn't want to lose any stones. My then finance and I told him we would be back later, and left to get a second opinion. We took it to Tiffany's in the mall, and they told me the prawns just needed to be tightened, and a jeweler usually does that for free. I was furious. We took the ring to an amazing jeweler across the street from Century City mall and they handled it in under 10 minutes- FOR FREE. BE CAREFUL with leaving your jewelry here and don't let them push you in to getting your prawns replaced! They even have a large image graph in the store to show how your prawns "wear down" and it's important to have them replaced. I would never go back to this store or recommend it. read more

I go to the Fast-Fix at Wside Pav and the huge mall in the valley. I'm always pleased with the results. They do ring sizing, watch repair (removing links), buffing out jewelry, etc. The gentleman at the store on Pico is sweet and did an excellent job with my husband's watch and my wedding ring set. I don't know if they are considered more expensive than other places, but I would rather not risk it when taking in valuables. Even though the store name is cheesy, they do a great job. read more

Do not use these people. They are charlitains when I called them they didn't even acknowledge they were the store I bought my battery for my Movado. My review is similar to Jackie M.'s. My husband's sunglasses were in my bag and part of the frame broke. I took it to Lenscrafters who recommended I bring it to Fast Fix. When I got to Fast-Fix, they gave me two options. One was a laser repair that would leave no scuff or marks, or a heat soldering method, which would obviously leave a dark mark. The laser method was more expensive but I was basically convinced to go for it, and of course had to pay more. I was told it would be ready in 3 days... when I called 3 days later, they said they needed another day. When I went to pick up the glasses the first time around, I noticed that the metal was actually darkened and had several grooves. I complained that this was not what I was told the laser soldering would be... after much arguing back and forth, they let me pay for the regular heat soldering price, since the glasses had been damaged with the "laser method." Three days later, they snapped right where they were fixed. I called and spoke to the manager, Liphan, who told me to bring the sunglasses in again. He told me what time he would be at the store, but when I went to drop them off, he was NOT there. I agreed to let them try the laser repair method again. They again told me it would be ready by a certain date but when I called, they needed two additional days. I went to pick them up four days after when they originally told me they would be ready, and the sunglasses had NOT been repaired. At that point, I asked for my money back and left with the sunglasses that were now even more damaged than before because of the damage that their ineffective soldering had left. Please do not take anything valuable to Fast-Fix. They are not fast, they're not professional at all, don't live up to their promises, and their work is poor-quality. read more

Wasn't a fan of the customer service here, the ladies who took my watch had trouble ringing me up and took them a while to even acknowledge me when I was there picking up my watch. My watch was also not set to the right time or date -- not a big deal since it's just a turn of a dial to fix it but come on, if you're going to fix it, fix it right. I've used this place a few times for watch repair (new battery, new band) and have always had a good experience. I work in Century City, and this is just too convenient. Getting a watch repaired (along with shoe repair) is just one of those errands that I never get to on the weekends, so this place gives me no reason to not get these tasks done. Note that they've moved from across from Aldo on the north side of the mall to downstairs near Gelson's. Makes more sense since it's now next to the shoe repair place (ahh, synergy). So I have two sports watches. One doesn't work, but I love the band; the other works, but I hate the band. Went in there to have them switch the bands, and was out of there in 5 minutes. No joke. I looked down at my phone to check. I have no idea if they're expensive or not (it cost $16.95). All I know is an errand it would have taken me weeks to get to and been totally annoying to me, was really really painless. The counter person/manager (?) was super helpful. This has to be the absolute WORST jewelry repair service I have ever been to. Some of the biggest fear(s) a person can have while strangers handle their jewelry would be: 1) Dishonesty aka: not doing the work as promised but still charge you assuming you won't notice 2) Damage during repair 3) Someone taking apart your ring, prying off genuine parts like real diamonds and obtusely replacing them with crap in the back while lying to your face about doing a bogus repair job. Well, all three of the above happened to me last week at Fast Fix Century City. HRATCH is not a trustworthy service provider. DO NOT take anything precious or valuable into this place. If you value your possession, you would be taking a chance on not having them handle your property with care, respect or honesty. I wish I could give ZERO stars. While they can do fast battery repairs, having FastFix do anything more is a terrible idea. Do so at your own risk. I will never be going back. I took two watches here in March 2018 to have the crystal replaced and the watch buffed. Watch 1 - Came back in the time promised but the square trim around the date in the watch face was displaced, which prevented the watch from keeping time. We took it to a different repair place to correct. Watch 2 - Five months without my watch and I basically have ended up with a completely different watch with sh*tty craftsmanship (the face is no longer a circle, it has glue chunks in it and it's cracked). The FastFix manager argued "the watch is still the same" meaning the gears are still the same but the face is completely different. Apparently, in the process of changing the crystal, they accidentally cracked the dial, which was mother of pearl. While I appreciate they tried to "fix it," when I finally got my watch back three months later, the watch face wasn't even close to what to was before. It was a completely different face: the numbers were black, not silver; the face was shimmery pearl, not white pearl; they left out a silver accent around the center; the cut of the circle in the center is far from a circle; the pearl is cracked. I took it home and was PISSED. How is that acceptable?! So I took to back in early June since they said they'd try again. I brought a picture of what it should look like. ... Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me... Needless to say, another two and a half months later (again with terrible customer service - unfortunately, I am pretty sure if I hadn't called incessantly my watch would still be with them) I have my "watch" back: the face still has a crack in it and craftsmanship is sh*t. I basically paid $100 for them to keep my watch for five months and break the original watch face, replace it with something completely different then tell me "too bad, no refund." I went back to pay and they told me it was free as I bought a battery there just short of a year ago as they checked my phone number in their system. I was totally prepared to pay and they were unbelievably honest and did not take my money. That behavior is very rare. They have me as a customer for life and hopefully you will also use them. I had my Gucci watch's battery replaced in 2016 and got the 5-yr warranty. Went to them yesterday to get it replaced and to have 2 stones fixed on the watch. Came back today to pick it up, and first the guy said, "oh they didn't do it." Then he said, "oh, there is a new battery, but the watch still doesn't work." He then tries to give me a lame excuse that there is plastic part inside the watch that is broken and they could order the part, which will cost $80. I asked him how he thinks it got broken, and he said he didn't know....it could be if the watch was banged or some water got into it. Then he tells me that the watch is a "knock off." I don't think so bud!! Just don't think he wanted to honor the free battery replacement and wanted to up-charge me. They didn't even fix the 2 stones on my watch.
