Me & the birthday girl at Fat cats
    Evelyn L.

Nice place, My girl had her 70th birthday party here. It was a 70s event. The waitress I believe her name was Nicole she was very nice. She even was our judge for best dress contest. The wings were fye. The only thing was the place was cold like we were outside. Bathroom was nice and clean, we even took pictures. They had a pool table and nice vibe.

Great bar with great service, great cocktails, great vibes. Definitely making this a frequently visited spot when we're in town.

Lots of TVs and space. Both the cheese curds and poutine were really good (even without any add one). The Hot Mess burger was decent, but I really liked their other burger that had egg and a pretzel bun (BEO Burger or something?)!

Fat Cat was incredibly busy when we visited for drinks and appetizers before a concert, but I'd love to go back and try more of their menu. The bartender was efficient but also friendly. The drinks and food were tasty, and the ambiance was very lively and hip!

I've always wanted to go here because it looks super cute and a nice place to take a date but now when trying the food, maybe not. Something to note here is that they add a 3.5% surcharge but don't explain what it is for. I got cheese curds and the chicken pot pie. The cheese curds felt like I was chewing pre-chewed gum and had no flavor. The pot pie had no flavor neither in the crust not the filling. I would say it is pretty big though. I tried the chicken and waffles and it looks pretty good and massive but it all was so soggy that it was mush. I probably would not come back again.

Roasted Poblano & Sweet Potato Hash*

I came here for brunch and had the roasted poblano and sweet potato hash. The eggs were perfectly cooked. Wish there was more texture to the dish because the amount of sweet potatoes was quite a lot. I wish there were some more peppers mixed in there. The dish was good nonetheless and is something different from your ordinary brunch items. The bartender was great and the seating was nice and open.

What a fun cocktail spot for a night out with friends! Very friendly for larger sized parties it never got too loud and we were able to enjoy delish espresso martinis with a Brussels sprout pretzel combo on the side. Very friendly staff who worked a very busy room like real pros. For sure will be back again for another great night out

I've passed this place a million times and always wanted to stop in. I finally had the opportunity to do just that recently! I left a show at the Riv - which ew, wait for my review for that one... - and Green Mill had a cover. Where to? Let's head north and hit Fat Cat! To be honest, I thought this place would be way more vibey than it was. It kind of just felt like a sports bar. But the bartenders were friendly and attentive and the drink options were a-plenty. I was super intrigued to find they have thc-seltzers and may have had half of one... :) Worth checking out if you're in the area! I may just go back and try food sometime.

    Crispy Fried Mac & Cheese

Visited Fat Cat before a concert at the Riviera. We were sad to know that all specials are void on concert nights but were still impressed with most everything we got! Starters included the poutine which was a highlight of the visit! Be aware that the gravy is slightly unconventional but nonetheless, delicious. The pretzel sticks were good but over priced for only getting three. Our mains were splitting the crispy mac and cheese bites and the hot mess burger. The burger tasted like a fresh take on a big mac. The mac and cheese bites were handmade and tasted it! They were a must order again! Our cocktails were the hot bourbon cider which was perfect for a cold winter night. I was very excited for their take on a sparkling pear martini but was confused by the pink color and no ingredients should be pink. Staff were nice but one could tell the service wait increased as it got more crowded. Overall we enjoyed the visit as there isn't much by these theaters and would come back!

Brussels sprout is a bit too bitter for me. The Brussels are not crispy on the bottom. Bacon is too dry for me but others liked it Chicken sandwich: typical chicken sandwich. Nothing right or wrong Pretzel: I don't care about it but others liked it Chicken pie: love the crispy and airy top. Inside is pretty good as well. Price is reasonable. Environment's cute and cosy. Good for a quick bite

Atmosphere very nice inside and out. Staff very hospitable, explained the specials and were very detailed. The food was ok. My cod could have been seasoned a little more but good. Mac bites were very delicious but the wings were a little overdone. Will try it again though

The ambiance is chic, warm, and welcoming. It is also a spacious building with a bit more seating than Little Bad Wolf, so that is nice. We went from a 1.5 hour wait at Little Bad Wolf to almost an immediate seating at the Good Wolf's bar. You can't beat that! The bartender/waiter, Zach, was great! He took good care of us, making us feel welcomed and answering any questions we had as first timers! I got the charred boulevardier cocktail and my spouse got a local IPA beer on tap. We both loved our beverages and were very happy! To eat, we started with the brown butter broccolini side. It was so delicious, decadent, and flavorful. We will definitely get this again! For entrees, I got the duck gnocchi and it was divine. Perfectly filling, delightfully flavorful, and high quality! My spouse got the fish and chips and loved it! I tried a bite and loved how crisp the fish was! And the giardiniera aioli was scrumptious! Prices were reasonable for such a high quality meals. And the space was clean and welcoming. We loved it! One thing was missing: top down lighting; otherwise a fantastic experience!…read more I'm a big fan of Little Bad Wolf next door, and finally made it a point to stop in and visit the neighbor. It's not flashy, it is less busy, and if you don't know... sneeze and you'll miss it. The vibe is dark and moody, with notes of brown and dark blue. The art also fits the overall atmosphere well. I question, however, the large TV screen that seemingly only shows their name. It's not intrusive, just a bit weird. However, it was so dark that seeing the menu was more challenging than it needed to be. I can light it up with my phone, though I do (and did) so at the risk of being 'that guy'. Top-down lighting folks, I see the lamps up there, too! I ordered: - Oysters (4 as-is, 4 with mignonette on the side) - Duck Gnocchi - Sticky Toffee Pudding The oysters were medium-sized and excellent quality! They were delightfully briny and without a hint of cartilage or sand. The first order came with mignonette, and while enjoyable, being a bit of a purist, I put on a second order with mignonette on the side. Sure enough, I found myself adding it of my own accord. All the more evidence the kitchen knows what it's doing! Further proof? The Duck Gnocchi - the gnocchi themselves were soft and pillowy, more so than I've experienced up to this point. The duck in the dish was tender and soft as can be. The veggies (mirepoix) were sliced and cooked perfectly, adding texture, freshness and bulk (fiber?) without overpowering anything. To top it all off, breadcrumbs for a little crunch, and a mild sauce that tied everything together in perfect harmony. For the most important course, dessert, we have the Sticky Toffee pudding. A well cooked, well sauced helping of pudding, topped with a large scoop of ice cream that slowly melted, transforming the flavor as you go. For drinks, I ordered the Charred Boulevardier and the Burnout. The Boulevardier was rich, sweet and savory, in contrast the Burnout was brighter and fresher, and still boozy. While neither drink was a smack to the face with alcohol, after getting up, I could feel the effects. In terms of their service, it was polite and attentive, and all items came out fast! The prices are okay, though if you love oysters, keep in mind they will set you back $4/each! Final verdict: There is nothing at The Good Wolf that I wouldn't happily order again. It is hard to choose a standout when everything was of a high caliber. I look forward to working my way through their menu, and continuing to feed the good wolf (props is you know the story of the Two Wolves).

The entrance to the bar is located to the left of Lonesome Rose, which gives it a hideaway feel. The décor is lovely and the vibe is cozy and chill. I kind of felt like I was in a Western bar with the big bull head starting down at me. I would say that for parties of 2 to 4, this is a good joint to hang out in, but any larger groups, I did not see a space to accommodate more than 4 people. The night we were there, they had a cool 80s playlist going and that was nice to sit and chair dance while drinking my cava. The Doctor liked the fact that the beer was really cold. And I loved that they had sparkling wine. There is a small section on the menu for food: chips/salsa, Chile con queso, guacamole, Heartbreaker Burger (Chorizo Smash Patty, Grilled Onion, Cilantro, Chile Con Queso, Pickled Jalapeno, Shredded Lettuce, Jalapeno Ranch, Sesame Seed Bun) and Truck Stop Nachos. I got the Truck Stop Nachos (Black Beans, Queso, Pickled Red Onions, Pickled Peppers, Tomato, Crema). You have the option to add Picadillo Beef, Chorizo, or Carne Asada as protein. But you also have the option to have it vegan. I went with steak. Overall this was a nice snack but would have liked a little more steak added to it. I am not sure if you can order from the menu of Lonesome Rose, but the next time we go, I will ask about that. And I have to remember not to call Lonesome Rose, Lonesome Dove (the novel and mini-series). The selection of cocktails is decent, and it is nice that they have non-alcoholic beverages as well. For those that like hard seltzers, they have those as well as a "Toke Cosmic Berry", which is a THC seltzer. Service was nice, the bartender was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be adding this to our rotation of happy hour places.
