Ordered a Beyond Burger + fries for delivery, which I've done about twice a month for the past year. I ordered 2 hours (with a set delivery time) since I know they get busy on the weekends. The food arrived cold (some fries were uncooked) and soggy (the tomato had soaked significant portions of the bun). What I think happened (but hope it didn't) was that they made the food when I ordered it, and then it sat under a heat lamp until they said it was "ready" for the delivery person (I saw when it was picked up and when it was delivered, so I know there wasn't a delay in *getting* it to me). I have been here before the drinks and food were ok. I came last week for drinks before a concert. The WORST margarita ever made was presented to me. Just awful all lime juice and battery acid. I don't think she even made it. I think she handed me so old drink and charged a large price for it. Nasty! I didn't even drink it. I wasn't paying didn't want to be a problem so I gave it away. My boyfriend and I stopped here before a concert at Aragon Ballroom and were pleased with our experience. We had made a reservation and were seated immediately. Because it was a concert night, it was extremely busy for a Thursday. Despite this, the service was great! Our waitress, who had what seemed like at least half of the tables, was very attentive while also respecting our attempt to take our time at the restaurant. The space is pretty cool with 1940's decor scattered around. I loved the unique light fixtures and various decor elements. The atmosphere was chill and quaint with fun music playing overhead. I believe there were some pool tables as well, which would be worth coming back to check out. We both ended up getting burgers. I got the Chef's Burger and my boyfriend got the Hot Mess Burger. Both were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Both came with fries that were phenomenal. To drink I got the Spanish Gin and Tonic. One of the best Gin & Tonic's I have had... dangerously good! While the prices can be a little high, the food is worth it and the servings are quite large, including the cocktails. Hmm, it's just your neighborhood bar. Love the sign and name of the bar. Just the name itself made me excited to go. Sounds like it would be fun, but honey it was dry in there. The vibe was down. My gal pal and I came here before I went to the H.E.R concert. We enjoyed the $5 Moscow Mules, it was happy hour from 4-6pm on a Tuesday. I ordered hot wings and my she ordered calamari. Both were unseasoned and very bland. They came out fairly fast, so I knew they weren't going to be "that good." My wings actually taste like they were in the microwave. I believe it was an order of 8 I normally smash wings but I left 3 on the plate and didn't care to take them home. I love their food and service. Being able to have open air possibility almost around the whole restaurant is divine. Now I have not been there for evening dinner- just Sunday Brunch (Dinner menu is always available) but it usually feels mixed up. The music is over powering and makes it had to.. well..Brunch. Okay decided to gove them another shot. Mistake! Ordered wings again, ordered a beer and literally from order to service was 3mins! How do you make fresh wings in 3mins? You can't; you drop old wings in hot oil and serve them. They were dry, chewy and barely edible. Now, I'm not one to complain, but you have to stop this practice of reheating your wings! I've been here a few times now and I have to say I really like it. The first two times I came here to drink. Thursday nights is 5 dollar special martinis. They were all really good-impressed by the fact that they make their own pineapple vodka and have a peanut butter whipped topping. The bomb pop martini stood out because it was so sweet-literally like a bomb pop popsicle and the chocolate peanut butter martini-again because of the PB whipped topping. They have a good selection of beers on tap-including a lambic a Belgian fruit beer, girly, I know but I really like them. As well as beer specials. Food-wise it's definitely above average bar food, but with regular bar specials. 25 cent wing night on Tuesdays, is a stand out. The server was chatty, friendly and fast. She was also good at suggesting drinks. The food was not good. Nice place, decent beer choices but pathetically understaffed and horribly rude bar service on a night where it was well known that there was a sold out show at the very close by Riviera Theatre. Unless staff was unexpectedly out sick, or had just quit there is no excuse to ignore customers and make them wait 20 minutes for a drink at the bar or 15 plus minutes to try to get the check to leave. No staff acknowledged our presence when we walked in and we were confused as to whether we could seat ourselves; we had to wait for a while until someone finally came over and seated us at a table. Other than this, the service was great throughout the night. They have pretty extensive drink options; I ordered a Breckenridge Latte and liked it a lot (very fall-ish and festive)! I also ordered the Korean BBQ tacos, which was very flavorful and the kimchi on top was a nice touch. Two visits, two wildly different experiences. Service was good on both visits, but I chalk that up one member of our party knowing a waitress. On my first visit, I ordered a half-dozen chicken wings. They were awful. The chicken tasted like it was beyond its expiration date. Was it freezer burn? Something more sinister? My tongue was unhappy with these wings. But on my second visit, I ordered the straight-up burger and it was really delicious. Very good seasoned beef. The fries tasted fresh, but quite bland. Fairy lights, lanterns and surprising industrial air conditioner putting and running adjacent to the bar. The service was passable. The food was par. The experience left me guessing if I wanted to visit again. Let's create the scenario. If you were seated prior to the consequent party, there was a certain assumption your order will be attended to first. Not this time. In terms of ordering and receiving our food, the service was nimble compared to ours. This was evident as the consequent party was sitting next to us. I wanted to visit Fat Cat as we enjoyed their brownie and ice cream dessert from our previous experiences here. Instead, we hastily cleared our table, paid our tab and left for an alternative dessert spot. Jeni's ice cream in Andersonville was better anyway. read more

We love the Fat Cat. Especially on Thursday nights for $5 martini specials and $11 steamed mussels. $5 burgers on Monday nights. Actually - we love Fat Cat on any day that ends in a "y". They are 5 stars for service: great bartenders, attentive servers, managers who are friendly and interact with customers but manage to keep an eye on the overall experience during their shift. Fat Cat supports Uptown community organizations with charity nights - and the Uptown Runners meet here on Monday nights - thanks for supporting the 'hood! Food menu is not your standard bar food - and lately the weekly specials have included some new options - like Korean Street Tacos - delish. The burgers here are good - you can't go wrong. My son likes the Straight Up Burger. I especially like the Banh Mi Turkey Burger - great flavor. The Black Bean Burger is good - and I'm not a vegetarian. Braised Pork Belly sandwich is messy but oh - sooooo good. Hubby loves the Chicken Pot Pie. It's everything a pot pie should be - flaky crust - chunks of chicken, veggies, delicious "gravy". Brown Rice Bowl with (local made) Phoenix Bean Tofu - delicious. Salads - all good. Especially the Kale and Brussel Sprout salad with chicken. And the Crispy Chopped Chicken might be a Southwest Salad in another restaurant - but at Fat Cat it's a whole bunch of deliciousness. Wings - some of the best in the city. Sliders - Pork Belly or Southern Fried Chicken - order one - order two - order them in any combo you want. Both are great. Calamari - corn meal "dusted" - as in - not heavily fried. They come with lemons and jalapenos - tasty. Goat Cheese Flatbread is a generous portion - the caramelized onions are a great touch. Crispy Fried Mac and Cheese - really? Yesssss. Oh my. Panko crusted on the outside - creamy mac and cheese on the inside. They are on the "Things to Share" menu - really? Get your own order. Not high on my list - but enjoyed by others: Reuben Balls - Pretzels - Cheese Curds. Be aware - no food or drink specials when there are concerts at the Riv or the Aragon, In fact they offer a limited menu those nights so concert going patrons can be served quickly. Makes sense. If you are in Uptown for a concert - stop in to Fat Cat before or after - but don't let that be your only experience. And if you come in on a Thursday - join me for a Riviera Martini. read more

Great service. Even on a concert night around 6:30, they were busy but they got us a table right away. Our server was very attentive and friendly, I appreciated her immensely. The food was on the moderately pricey side but not too expensive and I loved the vibe and the decor of the place. I did not like the Mezcal Mule, the aftertaste of the Mezcal just isn't too my taste I quickly discovered and it was very overwhelming. And the food was just okay. I liked the wings and the poutine fine, although the fries were soggy, not from the sauce, but the brussel sprouts were a big miss and did not come with the listed bacon. All in all, two drinks for each of us and 3 apps, was just what was expected. 4 stars for the service and atmosphere and a great place to go if seeing a concert nearby.
