My co-workers and I have come here quite a few time for pizza slices during our lunch break. We only get 30 minutes, so we usually don't have time to dine in. You get 2 slices of pizza and a can of pop for $5. The slices are generous so we have 2 people per deal, and add just add an extra drink. Full meal for about $3! The pizza has always been ready when we get there, and never tastes old or soggy. Haven't had anything other than the pizza slices, but I would recommend those! read more

Tried the pizza for the first time. Not bad, ordered delivery and in about 35-40min my pizza came hot and made to order. The double dough is a very impressive pizza, weighted about 5-8lbs. I went thru the drive thru for the first time, and the person taking my order was not very friendly. I had ordered 3 items (hot dog, small fries, and mozzarella sticks), I was in a hurry and didn't check the to make sure everything was in the bag, and when I got ready to eat the fries were missing. That made me very upset because I paid money for it and it is their job to check and make sure all the items are in the bag. The girl at the drive thru window was not nice at all. A friend introduced me to this place. We went there on a Sat night and ordered the deep dish pizza. I'm not a fan of the corn based crust (think Lou Malnati's or Gino's East) but this pizza was really good. I particularly enjoyed the sauce which wasn't too sweet and had a good flavor. We would always order from this place...The food is great but there service stinks..always manage to deliver the wrong items and they could care less to make it right. They give you attitude!!! even the managers..I personally work for customer service we strive on making customer's happy. They could care less of they're customers. We have eaten here a few times a year for the past several years, but alas, it appears this may be the end. Food was always decent, service somewhat inconsistent. We kept coming back because of the way that Rick loves and gives back to the community. Tonight, however, we almost walked out when the girl at the counter was too busy doing everything except waiting on customers. In hindsight, we should have walked when we had the chance...it would have been better than the half cooked burgers they served us. They did replace the burgers with fully cooked ones when we pointed out how red they were in the middle, but it took a good 20 minutes to get the new ones. All in all, a less than stellar experience. If we give Rick any more business, it will be for pizza delivery, so we don't have to put up with the incompetent staff in the store read more

I just had a calzone or calzino (half calzone) yesterday and what a great lenten meal with no meat, I had spinach, artichoke and fresh garlic, WOW it was amazing! The crust alone was worth just dipping in the side of red gravy you get with it, but all of the ingredients were fresh and delicious! read more

I gave this establishment 3 stars only because the other choices real close to it are slim pickings. The food is good depending on what you order. Thin crust pizza is decent, the hamburgers are tasty and you can get a good Chicago dog, fries leave much to be desired.They are like the crinkle cut fries you buy in the frozen food section at the grocery store. Po Boys are excellent but the bread is a bit chewy, so only buy if you got a good set of teeth. You just have to kind of bite and pull each bite but its tasty. Do not go there for the ribs, they are not smoked ribs. They are something they microwaved and slathered BBQ sauce on. Service is decent, I have been in there a couple of times, all young people that can sometimes forget they are at work in what they talk about in front of you as you wait at the counter. Cashier can throw a lil attitude but if you are nice she calms down. If you stick with the things I mentioned you will probably be happy with your meal. read more

The new building is nice But there have horrible horrible customer service. I can't remember the last time I ordered out and haven't had a problem. Pros: This place plays some mad bangers on the radio. Im talkin old school panic! at the disco, exs and ohs, all of it! They also play dog channels on their tvs from different perspective for quality viewing. Their food is fantastic an the service is great. Everyone is friendly and someone even gave me a hand menu when they noticed the tv menu kept changing on me. Their new building design is fabulous and very vintage. Their drink selection? quality. Cons: First things first, they didnt give me butter for my bread let alone buttering it for me! They also didnt even Cesar my Salad? i had to do it myself. I've never been to this place if it was in Elmwood Park but here in Romeoville, it was fantastic. I grab the double cheeseburger with bacon and enjoyed every last bite. I used to get Fat Ricky's all the time a couple of weeks ago I placed an order for pick up on a Saturday. I was told it would be ready in 25 minutes, when I got there in 30 minutes the pizza wasn't ready. I was told it would be a few more minutes. Well a few minutes turned into a half an hour. I got there at 7:25 and didn't get my pizza until 7:55. I wasn't offered a water or even a few dollars off or a coupon for next time. I don't mind waiting for my pizza I know they can be busy on a Saturday night, but don't tell me half an hour if you're that busy, tell me an hour. So thinking this was a fluke I tried them again last week. I ordered a lumber jack with extra ingredients, I received a large with no extra ingredients, when I questioned it I was told that was what I ordered. I know I didn't and had people around me to verify. So I won't be going there anymore read more

My family ordered a pizza and cheese curds for home delivery a few weeks ago. We have been to the actual restaurant once before, but only for sandwiches and fries. Through the grapevine, we had heard that the pizza was good and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. All of my family members commented on the great taste. I have to admit, it was really good. We ordered the thin crust 16" pie with mixed toppings. The cheese curds were good, but nothing to write home about. Overall, I'd have to rate this as a very positive experience. Delivery time for food was typical to a little longer than expected, although not bad. Ok first of all the lady on the phone was very snippy and rude. I called to place an order she asked for a phone number I told her I am calling from a hotel. She raises her voice and says just give me your cell phone number. She gives me one total on the phone of 41.98 than I tell her I have a coupon which I told her twice before she again ignored me. Then the driver comes and gives a total of 45.00. Ok what is up with that. I am not happy I wasted my money and the food was so not worth the cost you pay extra for topping and the pizza is all crust hardly any toppings or cheese. Pizza is the best around. We come down from Naperville to get the thin crust. Having a cocktail while waiting is always a pleasure as the staff is very nice. New building is way nicer than the old place and but the food is still great. Chopped chicken salad is excellent. read more

Just moved to the area from the near SW side of Chicago, and this is by far the best thin crust pizza in this area. We have dined in, picked up and had delivery and have been satisfied. ONE exception.... the stuffed pizza was terrible. It was over 1/2 crust with a small layer of cheese and so little sauce, you could see spots of cheese through it. We will continue to look for a stuffed pizza in the area.... or drive back into Chicago for it! read more

Tried to order a Combo Italian Sausage after 5 min of waiting and then was told that the oven were full and I would need to order a slice of pizza. Which I did not want. This is absolutely the best restaurant in Romeoville. There is nothing bad to say about the place, only great things. Best pizza, pasta, specials, and great employees. We come here at least once a week for the slice deal- 2 massive slices of fresh pizza and a pop for somewhere around $5-6. Mondays they have buy one get one free pasta entrees (Papa Rich's Country casserole is phenomenal) and half price wine if you dine in. The bartenders are very friendly and accommodating. They claim it's busy and that's why they can't hear you and it's actually the employees making all the noise. If you like tomato paste pasta or tomato paste pizza sauce, this is the place for you! There is no flavor and it taste like tomato paste from the can. The sauce is so thick and tomato paste like. They need to add some water or olive oil in the sauce and throw some spices in there. Don't waste your hard earned money here! read more

This use to be the spot in Romeoville into they move to the new location. I went right after they open. I went Drive thru and waited 20 minutes ( it was ok because what my kid order took that long to bake) when they finally arrived with the food they only brought the pizza bread and forgot the rest of the food. I went in and retrieved the food ( no big deal it happens) I get home 3 minutes later and I am about to eat what a use to think it was the best burger ever from previous experience at the old location. Well the burger was over cooked the lettuce was yellow the cheese was not melted and the bun was not steamed. I mean this is an almost 8 to 10 dollar burger. I was disappointed. Today I go and with my order I asked for cheese fries. Regular fries are 2.09, cheese fries are 3.85. Well the cheese was non existent it looks like they just poured out of a ketchup bottle one quick side to side and that's it. I rate this 5 stars because I put Fat Ricky's in the category of a family restaurant for the range of America's favorite "treat" foods...pizza, italian beef, hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. The pizza is, bar none, one of the best thin crust pizzas that I have eaten, around the country. They use fresh vegetables, and their sausage and pepperoni is high quality and tasty. The crusty is excellent thin crust. I have had the Italian beef and it is excellent. It is the hands down favorite for my family which ranges in age from 23-55. read more
