Took my boy to experience his first fatburger here and he enjoyed it. We even ate it in their 'socially distanced' dining room and everything worked out well. Tables adequately spaced apart. Clear signage to wear masks. Could have been a little cleaner but I didn't feel like anything was a threat to my health. And the food was just as amazing as I remembered it to be. I took this opportunity to test out their Impossible Burger and I have to say, it was pretty legit. Of course I did a side-by-side comparison with my sons regular fat and... aside from being a little less greasy, I was pretty amazed at how good it was. Always a treat eating here. Never had an issue at this location. Husband has been going here since he was a kid with his dad. Always greeted with nice staff and the place is pretty clean. Burgers are always cooked well and delicious. Place is never to crowded for too long. Now, we take our daughter here as a treat for her when she's craving a burger. One of the best burgers in the area! Prices are reasonable and shakes are out of this world! We order online and can pick up easily. Parking is small but we've always found a spot. Vegetarian options are on the menu and oat milk for the shakes make healthier choices easy to order. read more

I ordered the OG deal for 3 people, 2 shakes and 1 fries. Fries and shakes were very good. However, it was clearly written in the special instructions on my order and paid bill which is shown below that there was to be no mayonnaise, mustard, pickles, or relish due to allergies in our family. By the time we got home and all 3 of us took a bite of the burgers, We found pickles, relish, mustard, and mayo in the burgers which we promptly spit out and threw the burgers in the trash. I tried to call the restaurant twice to complain and have 3 new burgers made and was put on hold for quite some time and had to hang up due to the long wait times on hold. This is truly an unacceptable and potentially dangerous situation. I think you need to teach the employees to check more carefully when they do make burgers in the special instructions for allergies. This could turn at some point into a real medical disaster. I will be discussing this with the store manager in the next few days. EVERY freaking time without fail does this location in some way, shape or form manage to mess up our order, regardless of whether we order in person, online or by phone. And since on-site dining is currently not an option, taking our food to go and finding out at home leaves no choice other than to eat what they gave us or spend 30 mins driving back for them to remake it and a 50/50 chance of the staff wanting to argue about it. It doesn't matter how much clarification we give or how many times we repeat ourselves or have the order repeated back to us, something always gets missed. Just last week Fatburger rolled out the Impossible Burger, a new and improved non-meat burger, to all their outlets, though it's been available at this location for a while now. I've been to Fatburger (not necessarily this one) many times and I think their burgers are top rate. This is the first time I've tried the Impossible Burger. It's as close to an all-meat burger as I've ever had and if I wasn't paying very close attention I probably wouldn't have noticed that it was a vegetarian burger. I sampled a small piece of the burger patty all by itself and it was very meat-like. The burger patties were cooked to an equivalent of medium-well done which is a little dryer than I would prefer but it came out fine. There are a lot of condiments added to the burger so while you are eating a burger patty you are also eating bread, mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, relish, and mustard. With all these additional condiments you could view it as either having a lot of everything that makes a burger great or something that hides the taste of the vegetarian burger. I was impressed. I can see the Impossible Burger becoming much more widespread though its $9 price point is a little high for it to become too popular. read more

We came in on Veterans Day to grab a quick burger before hiking the trails in Palos Verdes. There is plenty of parking available in the lots in front of and behind the restaurant. As far as Covid consciousness, there are clear markings on which door to enter and exit, signs to wear a mask and where to stand in line to place your order. They also had a huge bottle of hand sanitizer on the counter for customer use. I LOVED the woman who took our order. She was so friendly, very patient with my kids when they were ordering their meals, asking each of us which toppings we wanted on our burgers, so she really made it feel like we were ordering food from a small mom & pop style restaurant, and not at all like a fast food chain. We went outside to find a table. They were all in a slight state of dirty, but we dug up some wet wipes to wipe down our table before sitting. The burgers were nicer than I remembered... freshly made beef patty (which are true to size... our 1/3 lb burgers were very satisfying. If you order the King size burger, it really is a 1/2 lb meat patty... this thing was ginormous!) It came with a healthy serving of lettuce and sliced tomatoes along with all of the other toppings. Plus they included plenty of napkins, ketchup and ranch dressing for our fries in the bag. We were missing one order of skinny fries, but between our two orders of fat fries and sweet potato fries, we decided that we really didn't need any more fries. When I got all the way home and opened the burger, cheese had been put on the burger, melted into the burger and then sloppily scraped off. This is a $9 burger and I don't eat cheese. I had to throw the burger away. I called and spoke to the manager who apologized and told me she would comp our meal and left a receipt in the office. A week later, (tonight), I called my order in, again, the impossible burger with NO CHEESE. Again I get home, open the burger and Same thing!! Cheese had been put on the burger melted into it and then scraped off. Burger goes to the trash. I called and asked for the manager, the put DWIGHT on the phone. I told him what happened and he was like...oh that's bad. that's unacceptable and then silence... I very quickly realized Dwight was not a manager. I will call a manager tomorrow to give Fat Burger 1 more chance. MELTING cheese on a burger and then PEELING iT OFF is NOT AN ACCEPTABLE practice. 2 wasted burgers and 1 angry/hungry customer. Love the burgers here. The shakes are also excellent. It's a small location but there tends to always be parking. My only gripe is that they NEVER get my order right the first time. I've had to go back after picking up food several times. And it doesn't seem to matter whether I place my order through an app or call them, somehow there's always a pretty major mistake.
