Ooof, okay, this is hard. I *love* Fatburger because it's the same great taste everywhere ya go and they have a ton of options for vegans/vegetarians. They're trying really hard and it's appreciated. The food is five stars. The service is not. Here's a story: I've gone to this place multiple times and had bad experiences with the cashier, but ignored it because the food is great and I'm not paying for table service. I get it. However, this most recent visit, I walked in to find the cashier staring at me. Getting no greeting, I said, "Hello! How are you?" They opened their eyes wide and raised their hands up, like "Go ahead." I'm not sure if they're very upset with management, but every single time we've gone in, the same cashier has been upset. We order, stand to the side and, like usual, listen to the kitchen loudly discuss private matters in front of customers. Again, I don't really care, but some stuff shared is gnarly to hear someone making your food discuss. A couple walks in and asks for the manager. No one acknowledges them or tells them someone will be right with them. Instead, they yell at the manager, who was filling his cup next to the couple, that they needed to speak with him. I watch the manager walk up to the couple and stare at them. They wait in silence, assuming incorrectly as I did that he will introducer himself or offer to help. Instead, he says, "What's up?" That sets the couple off and the man demands that the manager come around the corner and talk to him. I won't speak to that couple's experience, since it wasn't mine, but I *will* speak to the fact that this place does *not* make any customer feel welcome or valuable. There have been times where I felt like they actively wanted me to leave. I went in once 30 minutes before closing and watched three employees sitting in the back look at me, look at their watches and then laugh as the one employee sighed and walked over to help me. I would probably come here a lot more if I didn't feel like an imposition to the staff. read more

I haven't had a fatburger cheeseburger in so long. The only thing I've been getting is their fat fries. So, a long time ago, I got sick after eating a burger at the Hollywood location. After that, I just stuck to getting fat fries occasionally. I don't know what happened, but this particular day, I decided it was time to get a cheeseburger with chili! It was good! The Fatburger I know and like very much is back. I self-boycotted years ago because of a decline in quality but it has bounced back from the pits to positive Fat Burgerness. The fried egg could have been more yolky but that's my fault for not requesting it. The burger itself was satisfying and with xxl on the menu you will not leave hungry. Fat fries are crisp on the outside and piping hot- delicious with that ketchup in the paper dipping cups. I didn't have room for a shake but they are looking good. The burgers here are among the best in L.A. They consistently come out juicy and delicious. Unlike the hockey pucks a lot of burger joints produce, the burgers here are never dried out. I like that the they offer cheddar cheese, and not just American cheese (ugh). The fries come as either fat fries (steak fries), or skinny fries. They are good, but not exceptional. The onion rings on the other hand are really good. This particular Fatburger is always kept clean, and the staff are efficient and friendly. Head and shoulders above In and Out, Five Guys and the Habit in the quantity and quality of the meat. read more

Imagine buying a product that was made to look and do everything your phone can do. It's your phone made with all plastic parts instead of metal. You couldn't tell it was plastic unless you compared the metal and plastic or had someone who produced the phone check it. First time eating at Fat Burger. Got a M Burger and Fat Fries. The fries were awesome! Hot and cooked to perfection and went excellent with my concoction of fry sauce. The burger was hot and juicy and seemed like the patty was hand formed. I wanted the burger to be their traditional but, way too much lettuce and mustard, and had a hard time finding the cheese. Awesome,fast service. Dined in. First timer. Burgers come with everything unless you specifically dont want something then ask to not have it on there. Relish on a burger? Different but so delicious. You can bypass a line and sometimes get a stare of...HOW THE HECK DID YOU GET YOUR ORDER SO FAST?! I ordered online! I am not sure if over the phone orders are applicable. You are probably wondering: I've lost so much weight and you are eating BURGERS again?! Well, I'm still smart about eating healthy. The only thing I order is the Veggie Burger. I usually order the works for it. I know it means nothing on a gardenburger, but I can fool my mind. It is a soy patty on wheat bread basically! It is quite filling though. Value Assessment We each ordered a burger, split a small fry, and the bill came out to ~$20. We probably would have sprung for a shake, however the $6 price seemed a bit over the top. This pricing is in line with what I expect to pay at 5 Guys, however this location does not compare in quality to what I find at 5 Guys locations. Feedback on Cleanliness Our chief complaint revolved around the cleanliness of the common areas. The tables, counters, and floors were dirty. The bathroom was dirty. I appreciate patrons can be messy and drop things, but the business needs to keep common areas clean. At no point did anyone make an effort to clean or come around, we were there for about 35 minutes. Overall The food quality was bang average, and the service was rather middling with nothing positive nor negative to say. When leaving and walking to the car we both came to the same conclusion that we won't return. I ordered the impossible burger with no cheese. Cashier informed me that one of their grills is down so the impossible burger will be cooked on the same grill as the meat, but we were the first customers so it shouldn't be a big deal, was the exchange. Ate the whole burger, tasted off, ate fat fries. That night, I suffered the worst food poisoning I've ever experienced. I was throwing up violently until the sun came up. So...I was shocked to see while we were ordering that a kids meal was $14, with a shake my daughters meal was $21. For our family of 5 our meal was $116!!! Ok fine, this better be amazing! So 30 min later the skinny fries were cold so they were going to have to remake at that point we just asked for our money back on the 1 fries. There are definitely better places to get burgers in the area, especially for what they are chafing. A small burger which was 2.5 ounces as stated on the menu was $3. Luckily I had a coupon for fries. I really liked the fries, and it was a really large portion, but it was too much for me to eat and I had to throw them out. My burger was dry,and the roll wasnt that fresh. I'd much prefer a burger at in n out or the habit for what I got for the price. I haven't been to a Fat Burger in a LONG time. I don't remember it being this good. Our order was Hot and Fresh and delivered by the nicest server. So polite and friendly that I had to ask his name (Nathan) before leaving so I could write this review. Bravo Nathan! The food was also fantastic, really. It was even assembled like you would see it in commercials. I'm not kidding. I don't know why I didn't snap a picture of it. So good job to the kitchen as well! First time here. Looking at the menu, it seems like their demographic are the severely undernourished who are looking to get Fat eating Burgers. Their burgers start big, with the Original (@1/3 lbs), and go up from there: the Large (1/2 lb), the XXL (1 lb), and then the XXXL (1.5 lb and 2,050 calories!). My son ordered an Original cheeseburger combo with extra patty and bacon, and I got an Original cheeseburger combo. Total = $36! WTH? There were only two people in front of us, and yet they somehow made it take forever. FOOD: Burger was good - tasty meat, with melty cheese, grilled bun, fresh produce - but the steak fries were severely undercooked, one notch higher than raw.
