Ok so Ive eaten here 3 times since my review. Maybe a little much in a couple week span but the pizza is that good. Ive had the Margharita twice more and the owners favorite (fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, mushrooms, goat cheese and basil cooked well-done). The pizza is consistently delicious, a hard trait to find these days. You will not find a better pie in the east bay nor much of rhode island for that matter. I will be back to try other items soon. I've only been here once, but what I got was maybe the best caprese pizza I've ever had. Great old-world style crust that I suspect would be even better with something with more sauce than a caprese, and the toppings were just about perfect. I don't know if it was a regular thing, but there was a great international-jazz style trio playing that fit the place perfectly. read more

We have been here a few times, and the pizza is good. Pricey...but good. Tonight they totally screwed up our order. The waitress didn't really care, the owner-who usually strolls around and checks on everyone-just shrugged his shoulders and blamed the waitress. $100 for pizza and apps...that they couldn't even get right? They should have offered to remove the screw up from the tab, especially after the OWNER was personally informed. We're all set with this place...never again. Just ate there for the second time in the last few months, yes the pizza is very good, the large is a 16" pizza and many are over 16.00, was not happy that the menu states 1.50 for a soft drink, then we were charged 2.75 for each soft drink,that's not even close. I wanted to get a small salad but they don't have a small salad unless you want to substitute the fries that usually come with a burger, WHAT ? The cheapest salad is 8.00 (if not substituting for the fries) so I have to order a burger to get a small salad ????? Come on, do you really want to stay open. Looked at the beers, 4.25 for a coors draught beer, this isn't Newport people. read more

Updated to Five Stars now that they serve bourbon! Warren has historically been a good town for food - Crossroads Tavern, Jack's Family Restaurant, Rod's Grill, Tavino's - but it has truly been blessed in recent years with a steady stream of new restaurants adding to the diehard joints. Federal Hill Pizza has been here for awhile, but it's new to me. The pizza is among the best I've had in Rhode Island. Thin crust, slightly sweet sauce, quality toppings baked to perfection. (I'm partial to the Mama's Pizza.) No surprise that a place called Federal Hill Pizza would have good pizza. But the wings? So often a sorry afterthought. Not here. They're excellent. Plump and delicious, fried crisp but still tender. Everything else we've tried has been as good - the broccoli rabe, linguini, meatballs, the excellent (and authentic) Main Street Sliders . . . all excellent. They don't start delivery until 4 p.m., and the bar lacks bourbon - the only reasons I spared it five stars. The staff is friendly and they host a fun trivia night on Monday nights. All neighborhoods should have a local pizza joint like this. read more

People were nice. Place was decorated very well. But when it came to the food I was not impressed! Boy did it smell good! But as soon as I took a bite of the "way it should be" I couldn't taste a thing. If I closed my eyes it was just nothing. I also ordered a plate of main st sliders and I must say those were pretty good. Food was so expensive I couldn't believe it. In general the place is so so but I would prefer something cheaper and more tasteful. read more

Sooo delicious! I'm from New York and it's the closest thing to New York pizza up here in providence. The owners are so friendly and the atmosphere is so clean and unique. My favorite was the Aloha pizza. I recommended it to all my friends and will be going back! read more

Second time and I won't be back! First time was great! Fried meatballs were smaller portion than last time I went. Got 2 large pizzas one Roman and one half cheese and half pepperoni. Toppings were barely visible on the half and half pizza. Basically paid $18 for a tomato pie with no cheese. My kids refused to eat it! The roman was also skimpy on toppings. I know it's authentic pizza but come on! Never again! Paid $90 with tip. We each had 2 beers and kids had lemonade. Maybe success has gone to their head! read more

Come here off and on, and always enjoy the pizza, but saw that they were offering 1/2 price lunch menu so decided to try some lunch. I ordered the build your own pizza, which was DELICIOUS... You can tell the ingredients are top notch... My hubby ordered the sliders, and even though I am not a huge burger fan, these little things were fresh and tasty! read more

Had the antipasto (hint, bring a group of at least 4--we had only a couple and it was waaay too much food. Have subsequently tried the half size Mediterranean. Excellent. Ordered for the first time from here again, not sure that we'll be back. The fried ravioli and fried mozzarella were decent, nothing exceptional but good. The pizza was disappointing at best. We were excited to find a location that has gluten free pizza as an option, and while the crust was surprisingly thick, the flavor of the pizza was just ok. We didn't care for the sauce, it was neither a traditional pizza sauce nor just straight up tomato, it had a very strong flavor that none of us really cared for. We might try them again, based on the other reviews I've read the quality seems hit or miss I'd be curious to see if its better a different night, but not sure that we'll do that. read more

I give this place high marks for what it is, a pizza joint that puts its heart and soul into great pizza. In a discussion with fellow New Yorkers regarding great pizza, this place was recommended to us. We travel through Providence once in a while and decided to stop in and try a pie before catching a flight. Boy are we ever glad we did! Their menu is diverse enough to accommodate mixed appetites, and at least from across the room, their burgers look amazing too! If you want great pizza, this is your place. read more

Have gone here a couple of times on Saturday nights. Food is really good My friends like their Pizza not my style but was tasty. Other menu items were really good also. Entertainment both times was excellent but for a small place it could have been a little bit lower so you could still talk while listening as once they started it was hard to carry on a conversation.. We got an order to go from the bar. The bartender made sure things were taken care re: drinks & getting a waitress to take our order. More than one person came by to check on us ( 3 ) while we waited for our order. When we got home the meal was fabulous. The pizza was as good as it gets and the antipasti was one of the best I have had. Even the presentation of it when we took off the cover was a treat. Ok went to FHP few weeks ago....nice nite..warm but not hot. Pizza was excellent and said we would def come back. Went back this past Monday....took seat and could not believe how hot it was in there. Fans working but NO AC!!....Well that nite they lost our bussiness....how can a place with open kitchen so close..ovens burning NOT have AC!?...needless to say we walked out. 2 stars because the place itself is nice, but I have never had such a blend tasting pizza. A plain toast would be more flavorful. It is possible that they forgot to add seasoning, as it was a white pie. My friend and I were SO hungry that we ate and didn't complain, but I would not give it another try... read more

The pizza here was the best I have ever had. Don't miss out on the Doughboy with Nutella and mascapone cheese, it is amazing. We where driving through town and remembered we had a friend who told us about this place. They said if you are ever near it you have to stop and eat, well we did and it was better than they said. Great night out in Warren. Yes, Warren. If you are yearning for an neighborhood restaurant experience with simple Italian goodness served up by a gracious wait staff FHP is the destination for you. Can't go wrong with a classic Margarita pizza or a contemporary pineapple and proscuitto. Never thought I would try that. But I did and was pleasantly surprised. Plan to fight over the last arancini rice ball. I could have drank a cup of the outstanding ted sauced served with it without any shame. Downside...I forgot to order the broccoli rabe. My favorite! Planning a trip back soon. Kid friendly. Parking on the street-free. An inexpensive night out - 1/2 the cost of city restaurants with superior quality. I am a fan. Hidden gem. Authentic fresh Italian dishes, great burgers, and the best pizza crust outside Manhattan. Try the home made ravioli or any of the pizzas with fresh mozzarella. Good solid pizza, great crust, real good flavor. My favorite is the owners favorite but their others are also good. If you build your own avoid too many wet ingredients or it will sog down the thin and delicious crust. Salads are very good size, but definitely simple and no frills...if you get it take it be prepared to get flavor but it looks awful in the takeout Styrofoam. The pasta is ok, sauce is pretty good, but unless you dont like pizza, get the pizza, its the star of their restaurant. If you get takeout, remove from the box immediately, it will taste so much better and usually I never do this. It reheats well under the broiler too so don't be afraid to get the biggest size, although you may finish it because its so good. Service in restaurant can be interesting... they often forget salads and don't seem to always have their act together. Music nights are loud as well, but they are fun! I'm fairly new to Barrington and a few friends had recommended Federal Hill Pizza in Warren. They deliver, so I gave them a shot and was totally surprised with the quality. I assumed it was a typical pizza joint, so I didn't look at the menu online. But after my first order, I was thrilled to find out that it's gourmet-style pizza. Honestly, the name is misleading. No offense to Federal Hill, but outside of Bob & Timmy's, you can't find this type of pizza on the Hill. read more

Service is excellent! I bring groups here regularly and we're always impressed. You can tell the people here love what they do. True gluten-free pizza here. Everything is really good, really fresh. You see couples on dates and families with kids. It works. You can easily share a pizza and a salad. The salads are grand. Lunch specials. Sidewalk dining available. Nice bar. Nice to see a good restaurant in this spot. A few places have come and gone here, so I hope this one will stay. Huge portions for the price, and they use quality ingredients. Great Caesar salad with home-made croutons and dressing, and an interesting range of pizza toppings and pasta specials. I love that they use fresh mozzarella! A few things were less than perfect. Our server seemed unfamiliar with the menu (maybe she was new), but the owner pitched in whenever there was a question. The pizza dough could have been cooked more on the bottom--it was a little soggy--and I don't get the point of putting huge slices of raw garlic on everything. Yes, I like garlic, but I don't want to bite into a big hunk of it, and I'd much rather have it minced and sauteed or roasted so the flavor is milder. So a few things I hope they can work on, but overall, a keeper! read more
