I stopped in here on a whim after a bad experience at a salon down the road. I walked in and 3 people were working on 2 pedicures. One gentleman said it was going to be a while. I told him that I didn't mind waiting and asked how long a while would be. He, in an extremely annoyed tone, said "a really long time". This was 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon so it wasn't even close to closing time and there was no one else waiting. They had 3 people working on 2 pedicures so it couldn't have been that long of a wait. They are clearly not interested in expanding their customer base so don't waste your time trying this place. I can only imagine how terrible a job I would have gotten if I had waited "a long time". I don't understand that type of attitude in a service based industry. Good luck to them if they can actually maintain a business with that kind of attitude. read more

Another reviewer mentioned that the pedicures are better than the manicures. It makes NO sense that that's true- but I totally agree!! I got a mani-pedi there four days ago and my nails are already chipping. And I haven't even done anything that would cause it. However, my toe nails look beautiful and non-chipped, even though I've even gone to the beach and worn flip flops. They fit me in, so it may be that the mani was just rushed- but in my experience, that's not what causes chipping. Bottom line: good work on the pedicure and a good price overall. Not a relaxing spa or shop, but for the price you get I didn't mind. Worth trying out if you are in the area. read more

Leo is the only person that I have let do my finger nails in almost 2 years. Everytime I call he makes sure he's available to do them when I come in. Appointments are definitely required, they are almost always busy but I refuse to go anywhere else. My gel nails always last at least 3 weeks and have never ever chipped. This is my new nail shop. I went here on a recommendation of a non-Yelping friend. These guys are totally friendly. My faux nails had been taken off by a salon in Santa Cruz and my nail beds were very damaged. These guys were totally sympathetic and gentle. Even the ladies getting their nails done were nice and chatting with me. Overall it was an excellent experience. AND they are not any more pricey than other salons. EVERY time I go here, it's amazing. They have shellac manicures in all sorts of fun colors with a fast, neat application process. I am always satisfied with my shellac. The pedicures are great too, still no pain with multiple technicians! I had rhinestones applied to my toes (I know, right?) and after a week and a half all four are still firmly affixed despite shoes, pinching heels, gardening in flip flops and barefoot pilates. Best pedicure hands down in the county. They always last me a month if not two. Everyone in there does an awesome job. I've just recently in the past couple of months been getting a "shellac" gel manicure. They use shellac, hellish and OPI polish for their gel manicures. I am completely hooked. i had a pedicure here yesterday. Unfortunately it was the worst pedicure I've ever had. She barely even trimmed my nails or cleaned my cuticles. There was no massage or scrub and the nail polish is gloopy. I would not recommend going here. Lee, Nancy and their daughters are warm, friendly and give real care to their craft. I'm a pedicure fan, it's such a treat. I easily go three weeks and they look remarkable. Love the massage to my feet and the massage chairs as well. I usually go back just because I finally need to get my nails cut. I don't usually get manicures simply because of my lifestyle, they just chip to quickly. I finally tried the Gel polish and I was stunned. Three manicures in a row and not one single chip in 3 weeks, all three times. I went back after 3 weeks simply because my nails had grown so much and the nail bed showed more. That's the only reason. So sad :( on vacation with my family brought my cousin here to get her nails done so I decided to get a gel pedi. I paid $40 to have my feet rubbed for 5mins then have my gel applied.. I went in yesterday to get a gel manicure and everything was going well until I noticed that the nail technician started to put the gel polish prior to cutting my cuticles (which were extremely grown out). I told her if she remove my cuticles before putting on the polish and she said okay, but then proceeded to put on the polish anyway... I asked again, "will you please remove the cuticles?" and she said she would do it after. No other nail salon has EVER removed my cuticles after the nails are done so I didn't know what to expect. They ended up looking terrible. My nails look like they've had the polish on for three weeks or more because she removed so much of my dry cuticles AFTER she finished painting my nails. The nail tech then had the audacity to tell me that next time I should ask for the cuticles to be removed before she does my nails... Never going back, worst gel manicure I've ever had. read more

Absolutely perfect experience! They are friendly and accommodating and gentle, because I'm a huge baby when it comes to getting my nails done. They remember your name and are very professional. I have a great place in San Jose with best pedicure ever, but this one is close to where I live now, so I gave it a try and was shocked. The guy hardly ever touched my feet. First he expressed his unhappiness because I had a nail polish with sparkles that requires some effort to remove (loud omygod!) after that, pretty much nothing happened. A few inaccurate strokes with nail file, a touch of clippers (all the cuticles and all the dead skin is still with me), a joke for a massage, non-stop conversation on the phone or with his dog (a dog in the place that deals with people health, licensing, where are you?). First time here!! Extremely disappointed!! Well I wanted to really like this place as recommended from my co-worker, and some other clients. I am a hairstylist in Boulder Creek and we do not offer nail services in our salon and recommended this place, since its down the street, but I don't think I will be recommending them anymore. Here is what I experienced today: 1. I made an appointment for a pedi, showed up 5 min early so I can look at the colors, they seemed persistent to put me in a chair, even though I was early, that I had to rush to choose, so I just grabbed 3 colors. Massage chair is cool, needed that. 2. They started me with Kim, very quiet, doesn't speak any English, she worked on my toes for about 15 min. During that 15 min of her working on my feet, 5 people walked in. They turned down the first 2 people, then decided to take the next 3. After about those 15 min of Kim working on them, one of the owners, man, came over to us and said that they were going to change her to another manicurist to finish my pedicure so Kim can accommodate 2 of the walkins!! Are you flippin kidding me? It's like me doing a haircut and stop half finished of it to accommodate others that walk in and have another stylist to finish the haircut! Wow! In my 27 years of experience in the beauty industry, I have never done that, unless a chemical is processing(when I have 30 min to kill), not right in the middle of a customer's half finished appt!! My Customers get my full attention. Unbelievable. Very poor Professionalism. She didn't give the bottom of my feet a good scrub either, what I like the most of pedicures. They are still rough! 3. They changed over to manicurist Lori. She did give my feet a really good massage and did a good job on the polishing too. so 1 star for her. 4. another star for the cleanliness of the salon. Wait a minute I take that back- Although I didn't see them clean one of the spa chairs when they were done with it after the last customer left it(it was end of their day, so maybe they did it after all customers were gone? Who knows?)- thats kind of scary. You get what you paid for. $18. I do not think I will be back or even recommend this place to anyone. Maybe if you request a specific person and they do the whole job, then alright. But not with this type of professionalism or even questionable sanitation of the spa chairs. Yikes read more

An out of town friend and I went there for the first time this weekend. They were VERY nice, the place was clean, color selection was good, and chairs were comfortable. They took their time and it was clearly a quality shop... with good prices. I will be back! Other reviewers complained that the manicures don't last as long as the pedicures. This is true of ANY place. Manicures last only a few days, up to a week if you are lucky... pedicures last about a month. It's common sense; you use your hands for everything. You don't exactly do dishes with your feet or work in the garden with your toes... It's not indicative of getting a faulty manicure. read more
