He even allowed me to switch addresses last minute due to me falling for a fraudulent apartment ad. He didn't charge me any fees for that at all. We paid $3500 to move all our boxes 20 minutes down the street. It took two truck loads. They broke our 85" Samsung tv ($3500 2 years ago/$1600 now) and for their " insurance" but they're only reimbursing us $120. They even broke our crib. Wow. Terrible. It's a $1000 pottery barn crib. I booked with Fenton Moving for my move from LA to the Bay Area. They were amazing! Noah was super helpful with giving me a quote & answering my questions. They were the only company willing to do same day delivery with a private truck with a reasonable cost. I really did not want a shared truck so this was perfect for me. I wasn't going to write a review at all, but Mike texted me a couple weeks after my move asking me to write a review. I wrote him back explaining that my review wouldn't be positive because one of the movers put a huge hole in my wall. Much to my dismay, Mike never responded. I thought maybe he was checking my story with the movers, but it's been 13 days and I haven't heard back. No "thanks for the feedback" "sorry to hear that" NOTHING. First of all, they were an hour late with no heads up. Second, at the time, their website boasted that they moved plants, well... the first thing the movers told me was that they wouldn't be moving my plants. Third, I specifically asked Mike if I could use Venmo and he said yes, when it came time to settle up the movers essentially said no. Fourth, one of the movers decided to take my clothes out of the dresser without even asking?!?! He asked for a box and the next thing I know he's scooping out my clothes!!!! I laughed it off but was totally mortified. Fifth, while moving I heard a huge crash, I looked and saw the furniture dolly on the ground in the bedroom but the man using it did not say anything, they seemed like genuine honest guys so I didn't think to run over and check, but lo and behold, the dolly put a huge hole in the wall. And finally, one of the men texted me hours later thanking me, offering to help unpack or "anything else" I needed and to tell me how sweet I was.... He told me he would reimburse me in full for any loss I had but that was a total lie! He damaged $7200 of merchandise from my home move and he refused to reimburse me! He didn't even know that the insurance he purchased does not cover home or office moves where there is scratching or marring. And if you use his storage for over 72 hours, the insurance he has won't pay out anything. After speaking with his insurance company and in my opinion, he literally has no insurance to cover you if anything is broken or damaged during home or office moves. Noah refuses to take responsibility for the damage and pay out of his own pocket and in my opinion, he will do to you what he did to me which is to refuse to pay for any damage and leave you holding the back to pay for the damages made by his company! Moreover, instead of paying for the damages his company made, he hired a lawyer to send me threatening messages not to publicize the truth of how Fenton Moving operates. In my opinion, he is a naïve and inexperienced kid who has no ideas on how to properly operate a business by getting proper insurance and giving people proper paperwork when doing moves and even invoices when paying for a move. Cant express enough how much we absolutely loved the process and the guys. Jasper and Justin were so incredibly efficient, respectful, and just plain good at what they do. They went through incredible pains to fit the sofa through a difficult entry at our new place, for which we're eternally grateful. I also appreciated the quick communications from Noah (the owner?) at all stages, from getting the quote to updates on timing to questions about wrapping delicate pieces on the day of. Maybe the only slight negative was that the arrival time was about 1.5 hours later than estimated, but we had no issues with that at all since we used the time to keep packing boxes. It was our first time hiring real movers and we probably won't ever go back. Out of all the places on Yelp that reached out, there was something about the reviews and descriptions on Fenton that felt more authentic and we're happy to have had that feeling confirmed. They kept me informed ahead of time by letting me know how some items would be packed/wrapped. The movers damaged my house and my fridge and refused to take responsibility for hasty, poorly thought out, work. They refunded my moving charges, but the damage done far exceeds the $280 job. If you hire these people, make sure you keep a close eye on them as they are not to be trusted. My brand new fridge was scratched so badly that it's obvious they continued to move it after the damage started. Instead of letting me know the job wasn't doable, or asking for assistance, they first tried to drag it through the house (and then denied it), and then took it up my porch, damaging both my house exterior and the front of my new fridge. At first, Noah took responsibility and promised to make this right, but his partner called me and told me that it wasn't their fault and they refused any assistance. I am extremely disappointed, as you would expect a licensed and insured mover to behave more professionally. read more

All in all, the Fenton team did a great job! They arrived on time during the 30 minutes window of 9-9:30am they provided. All three guys arrived and got to it so quickly. Fast and efficient but carefully wrapping some of the more delicate items. I will say some things were wrapped well, others they deemed didn't need to be wrapped based on their placement in the truck. But if you see something you really care about, just have to tell them to wrap and they will! The pickup / loading was quick, efficient and they were careful. I didn't see them hit a single wall or door frame in the move out! Impressive! The unloading at my new place was a bit less careful. Saw them run into a few walls, but our stair case is a high difficulty level so I was expecting that. Important part is there was no major damage, only a small scratch on my master bedroom door. Only negative in this sea of positives for this company is my husband's standing desk leg did get significantly scratched up in the move. Maybe from the truck? The functionality is in tact, just cosmetic. Fenton did offer $20 refund for that to paint it and cover it up which I really appreciated. They finished in 2.5 hours which is a little better than the 3 hours I expected given the quantity of items I had them take. I didn't see them waste any time or trips, these guys really did try to get the move done as quickly as possible. I've seen a lot of moving companies with bad reputations with no shows or wasting time so besides the one minor damaged item, I had a great experience. I was looking for a team that would show up, work efficiently and take care of my more fragile items, and Fenton delivered.
