Totally cool joint! Classic Irish pub even with live music! We came here Friday night for some food around 8 PM. There was a fun band playing some type of something that really added to the pub feel. They offer some good beer on tap, particularly a Scottish one. Our friends recommended the burgers, so I ordered the peppercorn burger with a fried egg on it. I have never had a burger with an egg on it... turned out to be a great idea! The burger was cooked perfectly to what I wanted and the service was good. Side note: this is a seahawks bar! More brownie points. Haha. Really laid back bar to come for a good burger and beer. If you aren't a fan of the loud music, there is another room that tones it down a bit and let's you talk to your party without yelling. Great find! read more

Went to the St Patrick's Day party in the parking lot. 10.00 cover and then 24.00 for a two beers in a plastic cup ! The female bartender inside was very rude. I understand she was busy but no excuse for rude and dismissive attitude. 12.00 bucks for a cheeseburger with nothing but cheese and a bun.. no lettuce, tomato or pickle. A small bag of chips. The band was a U2 tribute band and all they played was U2 for over 2 hours...and the singer was not much better than a Karaoke singer at best. My ears were hurting so I resorted to playing Irish music on my phone. Would not return next year. read more

Back for a second time on March 31 to watch the band Blind Owlz play. Decided to try the shrimp basket. I'm glad I did. HUGE pieces of shrimp with the right amount of batter, good portion of tartar & cocktail sauces, yummy fries. I cleaned my plate. Best shrimp I have ever eaten. Good service, cozy atmosphere. The two star rating is for the meal. The place had charm like a classic Irish pub. I love the dark wood and very welcoming staff! Yesterday, all you can eat fish and chips, the featured daily special, was not so special. Did they change the fish? The pollock fish was lacking ALL flavor. The chips we're tasty and crisp but the fish didn't get any better with the next batch or the batch after that. Super happy with this place!! My friend and I came here around 630 and sat ourselves. Within 5 mins our waitress came over, gave us menus and within 10 mins and took our orders. After we ordered 10-15 mins later our food came out. I had to ask for them to take the food back due to a food allergy I had and they gladly took it back without compliments!! This place is overpriced! I ordered a side of shrimp and was charged for cocktail sauce. My husband ordered mashed potatoes instead of French fries with his dinner we were charged for the gravy. I ordered a side of mashed potatoes and was also charged for gravy. We asked to speak with the manager and he would not remove items from our tab. He was extremely rude. Last time I ordered shrimp in a restaurant cocktail sauce was included. Last time I ordered mashed potatoes gravy came with it. Sorry to say we will no longer come to this establishment. Ordered corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef was raw. Sent it back. Got sausage and bacon instead of the corned beef. The sausage was burnt on the outside and cold on the inside. I've been going to Fibbers since college (100 years ago or so...), and it has maintained the same awesome vibe. Low key place that is set up to look like a library, killer beer selection, live music most nights of the week, and some of the best garlic fries around. Fries seem simple, I know, but trust me on this. They use some sort of parsley aioli, and I'm certain the secret ingredient is sorcery. Get them and a local brew, and settle in for the live music. Also, this is a Seahawks bar and even if you're not a fan, this is a great place to watch NFL games! read more

First time at this place. In a word is was great. Service was superior. Server was able to guide us to the meal and the beer selection. Four of us had fish and chips. Huge piece of cod and it was excellent. My wife had the shepherds pie and was made with lamb as it should be and not beef. Great choice. The braised beef meal was delicious. Beer selection is fabulous and the server guided us and even offered tasting before our selection. I recommend this pub/resterant for great food and service all for a resonable price. read more

Waited and hour and a half to get through the door after being skipped by the host who then proceeded to lie to our face that he called our parties name, only to backtrack and apologize which earned us soaking wet seats at a table outside. We were the moved inside to a table (which the host said they did not have) and were finally able to order food and drinks. Four of us went there for a late lunch. We heard about it from a friend and it is our new "go-to" place and to take friends and company. The food is authentic Irish Pub, well prepared and tasty. The service and food were both excellent. They have a variety of sandwiches and salads and the fish and both chips were amazing. The fish was served hot with a thin crisp crust and and both tender and moist! At this time of day we saw families and it was obvious the kids had been there before and this was a great place to come. Let's just start the decor is awesome, it has a wicked awesome atmosphere. I did not have high hopes for the food it's a bar but it was amazing. We had the green chili burger and fries asked for it medium and got it medium. And the chicken fried chicken the batter was delicious and crisp. The whiskey Gravy was spot on and flavorful. I came back here for a friend's birthday. Our server was Alex. He was very informative . My friend had some dietary restrictions. He went over options that would work with her restrictions. He also made sure the kitchen staff was aware of the restrictions as well. This is great customer service. I started off with pulled pork sliders for an appetizer. I shared them with my wife. They were tender, smoky, and juicy. This was a good indicator of the pulled pork sandwich they offer. For the entrée I decided to try the Belfast burger. This was one of the best burgers I've had. It is a 1/2 pound burger on a brioche bun topped with lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, roasted red pepper, mushrooms, garlic sauce, an onion ring, and your choice of cheese.(I chose pepper jack) The burger was grilled to a medium well which was my specification. The burger was full of flavor, juicy, and very filling. Almost makes me wish I had not ordered the sliders. I couldn't finish the fries that came with the burger. I also had two Guinness nitro IPA beers. They had happy hour so all appetizers and tap beer was 50%off. I was asked about dessert, but there was no room left. 3.8 stars. Pretty good pub atmosphere, great chips and pretty good fish, especially for the desert. My fish could best be described as a plank. Three good size Cod fillets that were bonded together by the beer batter. In the traditional English style, I prefer the Haddock fillets but you really only find that in England and New England. The batter was laid on a bit heavier than I care for but it was still good batter. The chips were nice long slices...perfect. The tarter sauce was slightly sweet, I prefer it tangier. Portions were good, particularly for the fish. *fyi- Fibber McGee & Molly was an early and long running radio show and is considered by many to be a precursor to the modern sitcom. read more

While the decor and atmosphere are nice, the servers friendly, the musician AMAZING, clearly something is still WAY off and it's the management. A 1/2 and 1/2 was served mixed, not layered. Next, a CLASSIC Reuben, (per their menu) was the worst thing I've eaten in a while. 1st, it was not corned beef, it was tough as shoe leather and brown, 2nd tasted off, 3rd no Russian dressing, not sure what they put on it, looked like Cole slaw, not as the menu stated saurkraut and Russian dressing. No big deal?? It's an IRISH pub!! The fries were the leftover pieces, greasy and old. We sent it back, it was that bad. 2nd meal, ham and cheese toastie was fine, if greasy, but how hard is that to make? Fries came out semi-cooked and almost cold. The chef is high, indifferent or both, but have SOME integrity and own that was old roast beef. But the blame rests on management, regardless of 'pandemic' issues, this place's food and standards suck! read more

Met a couple here so we could experience the Friday fish fry. We both found it thru Yelp - neither of us had been here prior. The fish was all you can eat but it was so greasy and heavy on the batter that we couldn't really take advantage of that. The chips were sparse, as was the coleslaw. Plenty of fish to go around. Enjoyed a few Harp's and of course Guinness is on the menu. Waitress was really lacking in service - asked for waters several times, had to chase her down for beers, offered us more fish before we even started on the first. We stuck around to hear the band. They were a kick and could actually sing some non-Irish songs! Had some fun and got some good people watching time in (this was just prior to St Paddy's day). Place is dark and run down inside. Fibber Magees is an Irish Pub off of Dobson/Elliot. I used to come to this place to grab a couple Harps with the co-workers after a busy day. Since then the pub has taken on a new dimension as they now caiter to Seahawks gamedays. On the inside, Fibber has a woodcrafted look with corners, booths, and tables situated here and there. The main bar is in the back while the front side has extra seating. There's also an outdoor patio with an HDTV and lots of cigarette smokers. The feel is definitely Irish pub meets Seahawks bar. Seahawks gamedays are put on by the Arizona Seahawkers, which means any Hawks gameday requires you show up at least an hour early if you want a good seat. This place must make some serious cash on Hawks games. The fatal flaw about Fibber lies with the woodcrafted look, there's pillars and frames which block out the projector and some of the TVs from seats at an angle. As for the food, there's not too much I haven't liked here. The Irish burger is tasty, as is the cone of garlic/rosemary fries, and meatloaf sandwich. Their potato leak soup is a little on the cream-of-wheat side and their chili is what I would imagine Irish chili to be. Their chicken strips are beastly, fish and chip breaded style breasts. The scalloped potatoes are worth the extra $1. The BBQ pork sliders looked all right from what I saw. Kind of a mix of bar food and Irish classics. The lamb shepards pie is worth the $10 if you're hungry. read more

Fibber Magees is as good as it gets . . . unless by some small miracle you are transported back to an Irish Pub in Dublin. We had: Tempura Beans (Irish?), Dirty Nellies, Fish & Chips, Shepherd's Pie, and a Rasher Burger all washed down by Smithwicks, BlackSmith & a Grimbergen Blond. All super good Irish pub food - - with the exception of the Tempura Beans (which were excellent, but Irish?). We could have been sitting in that magical transported Irish Pub. Ambiance was Irish pub; service was sweet Irish lass friendly and right on top of our needs. Then . . . we had to step back out into a warm Arizona spring day.
