I had "The Hipster".. an amazingly tasty pulled pork sammich! The tots, with what seems to be homemade ranch dip were so yum! My gf had the lobster roll and loved it. The whole look and feel to this place is great, I'd love to see what it's like at night with a couple drinks. (Or more.. who's counting?) ;) This was our first time here and I'd HIGHLY recommend it! As always Yelp comes through. We were in La Porte and the Fiddlehead came up. Was another 25 minute drive. Totally worth it. Ordered the fiddlehead salad. Loaded!! Picture of it is half gone. Large and just bursting with goodies. Plenty there to be your whole meal. I also got the pulled pork. Mmmm, yum. Nice bun, great pork and complementary toppings. Came with kettle chips that were delicious. My husband had the fries. Oh my!!! Just the way I like them. Nice and crispy!! He ordered the philly beef(?). Looked really good. He ate all of it so, I think he liked it. We went on sat at about 1:00. Got right in. Service was really good. Overall, very pleased. Will go back if we are anywhere close by. It was a little chilly for me. So, maybe bring a little sweater or wrap. read more

Visited for the 1st time on Friday just as it opened. We were greeted and seated right away. The menu was varied with many good options. We ordered the Mother Clucker with truffle parmesan fries and The Hipster (pulled pork) with sweet potato tots. Both sandwiches were hot and full of flavor, we would order them again! Due to the President's Day weekend there was an influx in the typical Sunday business Fiddlehead usually has.....however this DID NOT stop the TOP TIER service provided by this 4 person staff. We were greeted by a smiling hostess who jumped in WHEREVER she was needed. Our server, a male was more than gracious moving with a great sense of urgency while never missing a beat. Customer service was the priority and boy was it obvious. There was no bartender this weekend but that didn't stop our server from delivering an outstanding margarita. I can't leave out the cooks...sending out delicious orders in a timely manner. We have visited FiddleHead a few times after shopping and enjoyed ourselves but this experience will make this restaurant our forever "go-to" after our shopping sprees! I can't say enough, as I looked around all the patrons seemed beyond satisfied....smiling, eating, and toasting to a wonderful Sunday afternoon lunch. This place was great! Fancy but not too fancy. The decorations were rly nice and they had lots of pride flags. The staff was very nice. They told us it would be a 25 minute wait so my family walked around a bit but only 5 minutes after, they got us a table which was a nice surprise. FYI the lamb skewer appetizer is huge and same with the kids menu. Their menu was versatile and their food was delicious. I definitely recommend! read more

We were extremely disappointed with our experience here. We called 5 different places before deciding on one. We called at 5:30pm to see what everyone's hours were and the receptionist told us they were open until 8pm. We walked the mile here and there was a sign that said closed at 6:30, we walked up at 6:33pm. We understand that due to covid, hours have to change but the fact we called less than an hour before and walked the whole way here was extremely upsetting. read more

Fiddleheads catch phrase is "Grass is Best" they should add the caveat "A single at Wendy's is Better". The place tries to be fine dining. It's really just higher priced diner food, housed in a room decorated by someone that spent too many hours on Pinterest. The $11 dollar signature burger the "Fiddlehead" comes with choice of cheese and fries. Really, that's it. Oh wait, I forgot about the limp Lettuce, somewhat ripe tomato slice and a pickle spear that looked like it had been on 3 previous plate and had been saved from the trash. The fries, there's not much to say other than they'd been fine if they came in a box passed through my cars window. The menu is littered with "Ask your server about...". We fell for the trap twice. Once for the *insert fanfare here* burger of the month and again for the pierogi appetizer. To be told that they're out of them. My companion had the goofy named chicken salad served on greasy grilled bread sandwich. Nice try Fiddlehead, you got me in the door with the lure of good food. Came to Michigan city for casino and shopping. We tried this restaurant on a whim and are so glad we did. First, our server was fabulous! Seth was funny knowledgeable and really made our dining experience great. The food: so much better than we even expected. We had the filet with lobster butter was amazing. My sister had the lobster diablo and liked it a lot. Portions were nice size and prices fair. We came back for lunch the next day to try the lobster rolls per Seth's recommendation and they were out of this world. I highly suggest stopping in when you're in town. The atmosphere is great and the music is perfect. Lastly the dessert. We tried the Pavlova and it is to die for. We also tried the brownie which is homemade and it was delicious. My son had the fish tacos and my daughter had the Fiddlehead salad. Our only complaint was there was too much Asian slaw on the tacos and the caprice was salty. But minor at best. I wanted to like it, the server was great and cute restaurant, but sadly we did not have a good experience. My teenaged son ordered steak (advertised as 8 oz, no way it was over 6 oz) but it was the best thing on the menu. He also got green beans (way too salty) and baked potato which he has not met a baked potato he has not liked, but he could not even eat it all as there was something odd with the cheese. My husband ordered perch, for sure frozen and he did not finish it. I ordered lobster roll, it was in a normal hamburger bun and was not real lobster (so neither lobster or a roll). Everyone is in a huge noisy room with no partitions nor privacy. If I'm spending this kind of money, I want to hear my dining companions 2. Don't be stingy! Really? $18 walleye and no soup or salad? Make it a dining experience that lasts (although the music is so loud you want to go. Now.) 3. Lobster roll. Could have been perfect but way too wet. Food was tasty and could be tops, but be generous, and get the water out of the lobster roll. I'm coming back because I know the 5 stars is right.there. Cassie was the best waitress ever! She truly loved her job and you could tell. I had the blt sandwich with Parmesan truffle fries, and hubby and in laws got the philly steak sandwich. In laws also got the mushrooms as appetizers. Everyone was happy with their meal choices and it did not disappoint. Blt is a very basic sandwich, but this blt sandwich was seriously the best if not one of the best I have ever had - maybe it was the crispy bacon or the bacon jam in the sandwich - I don't know but it was superb. Only negative comment I have is the food was a slow coming out of the kitchen. Guests seated after us received their food before us and we mainly ordered salads and cold dishes. We reminded the waitress that we had not gotten our drinks and yet she took another 10 minutes to actually bringing our drinks. (She took someone else's order and cleaned up another table instead of bringing the drinks.) Also we had to get her attention whenever we needed something. She never checked in on us on her own. Fiddlehead has some of the most delicious food I've ever had. The Mac Daddy is incredible; it's everything you could want in a burger. The fries are always crispy and seasoned just right. I've also sampled the dessert and macaroni and cheese, which are amazing as well. I'd definitely recommend the chocolate cake. Wow! I can't believe this place got all these good reviews! Just there tonight Saturday Sept 3 with my Family and it was awful! We had their version of perogi to start it came with just 4 small ones, tasted good but overpriced. I had the flatiron steak ordered medium rare it was a slab of hard meat well done and the green beans were more soaked in butter and the baked potato tasted like microwave. My family had the lobster roll it had so much dill in it that it overpowered the entire thing, awful with supposedly truffle fries, not on that too! Moscow mules we ordered cut with club soda, they didn't do that it was so sweet and have headache from whatever vodka they used. It took forever to get our food and it was all way overpriced for what we got in quality and portions. read more
