Went with the GF there a few times since this is her favorite place to eat. The food is decent, nothing spectacular. The portions seem a bit on the scarce side though. I ordered the fried rice just because I was in the mood for that. I firmly believe that in order for any establishment to have something on the menu, it should be decent, and not just something they threw together hoping it's acceptable. Well the rice was way sort of being acceptable. There has to be a value with a purchase, or at least taste good; this was neither. Service was good though, which lends me to believe, that Fifi's, located at where they're at, it just like another tourist trap. Their rents are probably high and thus, the rent needs to be covered one way or the other. Oh, and the build out is horrendous. Ok, I may have had ADHD when I was younger, but as an adult, it's manageable; but one stop inside this place, you're gonna wonder if it the use of granite tiles was deliberate, or if they bought the 5 different floor tiles on specials since there wasn't enough to go around. read more

Everything was excellent from the food to the service. Sat outside in the nice breeze with a heat lamp to keep warm. Oysters, lobster bisque (real deal with big lobster chunks in it) and Spicy Shrimp Tempura were so fresh and delicious! I will be back very soon! read more

The food is very good; however it's overpriced. I can spend the same amount at a nicer establishment. I had reviewed the Yelp reviews prior to walking in and had read that the mini tuna tacos were great. We ordered 3. At $5.00 a piece it was great but I couldn't stomach ordering another one at that price. We ordered the white fish miso. It was excellent! As an entree we shared a paella and a whole fried fiah. They were great. The staff is very nice too. But for the high prices I would have given them 4 stars. read more

This is the first time I have dined there but I can assure you it will not be my last. The food was absolutely delicious, everything we ordered from appetizers to dessert was amazing. In the appetizer category, the Tuna Tacos are to die for as us the Alexis Style Florida Lobster . I chose as the entree the catch of the day which was the the Hog Snapper it was wonderful. Everything was very fresh and the service was phenomenal. I recommend it to anyone who loves seafood. read more

Great spot in area that lacks fresh seafood. Very pretty inside and I love the way they display the fresh caught seafood by the door. Service: Service usually is good. Every once in awhile we get a slow server. Food: Anything that is fresh is usually amazing. Whenever we try something that isn't, we usually regret it. The only reason I give them 4-stars: price. I think it's a bit overpriced, but I guess since it's on the beach they have higher rent so need prices to cover it. I'm sure if they weren't on Collins the price would be a bit lower. read more

I also feel this might be a tourist trap. I sat down not realizing the outrageous prices but thought ... maybe it's amazing and worth it. It was ok. I had the lobster ravioli and Tuna Taco appetizer. The tuna taco was 8 dollars for one tiny taco that I ate in 2 bites. The ravioli was ok... I appreciated the nice lobster tail sitting on top but it was swimming in an orange sauce that was tasty but excessive.. presentation a bit sloppy. I was honestly still so hungry when I finished.. I told the waiter and he promptly brought me bread sticks and a small salad. He was nice and attentive but the kitchen seemed slow for the restaurant being completely empty. I have to say... Great easy local spot for fresh seafood. This was my second time at Fifi's. My first visit was during Miami Spice and it was delicious. Im sure people who live on the beach can commiserate with the fact that there are few easy, quick but tasty and nice places to eat for dinner. (and if someone has good suggestions for delivery on the north end of Miami Beach - please drop me a line. but that's a whole separate issue.) The bread is delicious - crispy on the outside and hot on the inside. Catch of the day - snapper - was delicious. It comes with a full fried fish bones as decoration - with the meat already pre fileted so need need to worry about bones. There ceviches are delicious - the tuna is my least favorite. But Im picky about my tuna. I dont like when it seems fatty and has what seems like white strings all throughout it. The waitress was awesome - she brought us a rock shrimp on the house, which was absolutely delicious. I will go back just to snack on the rock shrimp and have a tasty glass of wine. The last time I went service was a little slow - but I was not in a rush. This time service was attentive and well paced. The food service was excellent. The fish ceviche was good. The paelle was definitely enough for two people maybe even four because of the portion they give you. My only issue with it is was that there was too much oil in the rice and I will definitely have to find a way to minimize that in my leftover portion. We went here for lunch on a hot Miami beach afternoon. It was quiet and very pleasant inside. We had a delicious lobster taco as a starter. With it some great New Zealand chardonnay. Then we had very good salads, unfortunately the dressing was a little too salty. The main course was absolutely fantastic: a grilled red snapper: grilled and seasoned perfectly. The other main course was a mixed grilled seafood with calamari, lobster, white fish and mussels. It came with chips and some grilled vegetables. My wife's sister wanted a seafood restaurant and it had to be walking distance because we were not moving the car. We settled on Fifi's mainly because of the varied seafood selections. Note: the online menu did NOT have any prices listed. Once in the restaurant we found out why. It was slightly pricey, but not out of reach. The misses wasn't hungry so she just selected 3 sides, and all were good. Her sister got the surf and turf (sirloin and shrimp) and she liked it. I chose the Frutti de Mares, which was very good. A couple things to note. We weren't served any bread (and we didn't ask for any either) and there were no salads. The entrees were quite fulfilling though. At the end the server offered us three complimentary mimosas, that was quite nice. We would dine there again the next time we are in North Beach. read more

I'm a native of Miami but I had a cousin visiting South Beach for her birthday this past weekend and she said she wanted some fresh seafood. A friend of mine recommended FiFi's and the restaurant did not disappoint. The Hog Snapper (wholefish) fried was the best fresh fish I've had in my life and I've dined at some of the finest restaurants here in Miami. The fish was seasoned to perfection and the rice and beans were well-proportioned which left me extremely full after dinner. The highlight of the night came when the Chef whipped up a Volcano Cake for my cousin and her friends for our dessert. Everything thing from the ambiance, my server (Anna), and the music were just what the doctor ordered for the occasion. Came here on a Sunday night the first night we were visiting Miami and a friend recommended this place. We had grilled Langostine, Hog Fish we picked out (get clearest eyes), and CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE. We are local and walk past this restaurant almost every day and we finally decided to stop in one night. The staff was so friendly, welcoming and attentive. My husband does not eat seafood so I was worried about him finding something to eat but his salad and filet were wonderful! I had the white fish ceviche and coconut shrimp special and both were amazing! The wine by the glass selection was also really nice. Atmosphere is a little whack. Reminds me of an outdated 90s Miami restaurant. The food is good. They had some fresh caught yellow tail tuna which was really good. But the service SUCKS. I highly recommend the tuna tacos and fish ceviche. The flavors are amazing. The fish ceviche has a lime base with red onions and has the perfect balance of salt and pepper, not spicy (I can't handle spicy) but just the right amount of flavor. Perfect for those who like mild to very little spice. The tuna tacos have some type of aioli and oil (I have no idea what it is) but it tastes so good. My boyfriend and I love them and get them every time we go! I must add that I would not recommend the stone crab if you have the chance to to Joe's stone crab. Joe's stone crab is by far spectacular for stone crabs, much fresher and about the same cost. The service at Fifi's is excellent, very quick and friendly staff. Nice presentation. Very good food. We had the lobster appetizer which was generous. The snapper I ordered as a grilled filet was great, and came with rest of the fish in a novel presentation. The flan came with slivered almonds and was awesome. No cocktails which loses a star, but our sangrias were good. Service was very good. Be aware that they include the gratuity. read more
