Inside clean and nice, service was average. Hotpot was good, wish meat was more tender. Corn seemed a little old (like not fresh). I really enjoyed the spicy pickle lamb broth - perfect spice and flavor for a cold night. Another note: wish booths were closer to the tables. I felt far. Would come again, want to try the side dishes too!

After a long morning at the IBJJF tournament at the LA Convention Center, our whole family was exhausted and starving. We just wanted something hot and filling, so we searched nearby and ended up finding Fig's Corner near USC -- and wow, what a find. Honestly, the first thing that shocked me was the price. $17.99 for a full personal hot pot?! I literally paused for a second. It's rare to see that price anywhere in LA now. Places around Rowland Heights or Chino Hills are easily $20+ per pot, and this is DTLA / USC area, which makes it even more surprising. The portion was generous and actually filling, not one of those tiny "student-size" meals. After a competition day, this was exactly what we needed.

I found this place because I work close by and I'm just tired of everything that's near me so I'm trying all kinds of other places it's been so cold inside of the office. I thought having a hot pot would be good and you know what it is good and it's a generous portion. I was greeted warmly Taken care of very quickly. I had questions they were answered they to kill me very well there. I'll definitely go back and try more food there. It was good and everybody at work was like what you get so I will keep you posted on my next review but if you're looking for something that's good Fresh and got good flavors. This is your spot. There was a lot of different things you could've ordered too by looking at the menu you can take a look. I feel like it's a place that's better with like companies so that you can try different things. Anyhow it was good and the portion was a nice size. I'm happy.

Great spot for Taiwanese-style individual hot pot near USC. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and very solo-dining friendly, and ordering is easy with a check-off menu. The hot pots are a great deal at $17.99 -- generous portions with meat, veggies, rice, and noodles, and the broth gets more flavorful as it cooks. We also liked the skewers and small bites, and the shot cocktails were fun to share. Affordable, comforting, and perfect for a quick meal after class or work. I'll definitely be back.

This is easily our most favorite hot pot restaurant! We drive here almost every week coming from Woodland Hills and it's worth every minute in traffic. I love their Sichuan Mala Hotpot for the variety, quantity, and flavor. I especially love their promo deal on drinks. The service is always amazing even when it seems like they're short staffed. The decor, ambiance, and music is very cool too. We always leave here very happy and full!

I have never had such terrible barbecue. Everything just tasted salty; the meat wasn't fresh and was grilled until it was extremely tough.

Awesome food! Perfect for a cool day! Awesome atmosphere! Awesome service! I had a great experience there and enjoyed a great Korean & Pork Belly Hot pot!

This place is very similar to boiling point. Taste wise it's a bit lacking. The beef hot pot i got lacked flavor, the broth was pretty bland. The sauces are also pretty limited here and they serve it to you instead of it being self served. However, the alcohol is pretty cheap here. I think id be back to try the skewers but the hot pot was underwhelming to say the least

Boiling Point is better, but this is pretty solid, especially for the area around USC! The portion is relatively large and there's a decent amount of broth. I got the Golden Broth Beef Hot Pot and if you can tolerate a bit of spice, the flavoring is well-balanced between spicy and salty without being overpowering in one way or another. Service can be REALLY slow and sometimes you have to chase down servers. This place is great for when you have the hot pot craving but I probably wouldn't make a whole trip out of it, if that makes sense?

Beef portion size is smaller than boiling point, but menu has good variety. there's almost always a bogo on drinks which is a good perk there's only one server at non peak hours so don't expect the fastest service

Used to our favorite Mexican fast casual - now similar to boiling point concept. The broths reminded us more of Tasty Pot's - a bit watered down and not as flavorful. The meats (hot pot and skewers) were a bit tough. Parking was horrendous.

Located in a small strip mall close to USC, Fig's Corner is a fairly large restaurant serving hot pot, boba, seafood, and skewers. They also have a decently sized alcohol menu. This spot is great to go to with friends because it's got a decent variety and they're doing BOGO on non-alcoholic drinks. Overall, I thought everything my friends & I ordered was quite good and we liked the variety of food that came in our hotpot. We especially enjoyed how refreshing the drinks were! Our server was very friendly and helpful.

If you are in that area you must try this place. The food is delicious and Daniel is one of the nicest servers I've had. The cabbage is definitely something I will have again, the lamb skewers were so good and the place is real clean. I thought I lost my ring and Daniel spent 15 mn digging in the trash looking for it that was one of the most amazing things a restaurant has ever done. I went there two days in a row and would definitely go again.

Dashi was VERY good. Generous amount of grated daikon. Assort. Tempura: Saw this being served while waiting. Looked really good and it WAS! Large shiitake mushroom. Fan cut Japanese eggplant, kabocha pumpkin, shrimp tempura & two (2) shiso leaves. All VERY crisp not oily. Warm dashi side had deep umami rich flavor. Probably made the legit kombu & bonita flake method. #1 ordered the Miso carbonara: garlicky carbonara served with their signature house-rolled out udon. Wonderful dish. Portion sizes were adequate. #2 ordered the Uni carbonara: same garlicky carbonara with uni bits strewn about. Estimating one whole uni broken. This actually works for ease of eating. Plus, uni ranges in the $18/oz on the low end to $60 or more/oz on the higher end. Yes we love & appreciate their gonads. Udon noodles were chewy, bouncy & worth the wait. Yeah yeah....the dough is purchased. Not house made. But, seriously you've seen the YouTube videos of restaurants specializing in Japan? Yes there are places in LA who make their dough & roll it out. It's Hella lot of work! Yamachan produces large scale udon/ramen in San Jose. It's fine. Let them work out the dough to water ratio. Also portion size was decent since we shared a couple apps. Might want to consider the option of extra noodles. The table to our right full of younger male co-workers were there to socialize. They probably all grabbed an afternoon snack. Was it worth the 30-40 min wait? ABSOLUTELY! Michelle 2025 Star. Yes it's worth the wait even with the sucky parking. Got so excited forgot to take photos of our udon. That's ok. It was one of those meals that makes you stare out the car window afterward and quietly reevaluate your decision-making process. The portions were so small that I briefly wondered if the rest of my order was still being prepared somewhere. The food itself was impressively bland, achieving the culinary equivalent of white noise. The eel, beef, and tempura all somehow united under a single flavor profile: "present." Service wasn't bad enough to be memorable and wasn't good enough to be noteworthy. It simply existed, much like the atmosphere, which felt less like a restaurant and more like a waiting room where food occasionally appears. The entire experience left me with a very specific kind of regret. Not normal buyer's remorse--more like the feeling of realizing ten years later that you chose the wrong career path, moved to the wrong city, and spent three years dating someone whose personality was "sent from my iPhone." I've made mistakes in life. I've ignored warning signs. I've taken wrong turns. Spending almost $40 on this meal felt like all of those moments condensed into a single bento box. On the bright side, the meal was over quickly. Mostly because there wasn't much of it. 2 out of 5 stars. A valuable reminder that not every journey is about the destination. Sometimes it's about learning which Japanese restaurants to avoid next time.

Every Filipino swears their food is better at home and I'm sure it may be, but we need to appreciate places like this that put our cuisine out there and make it this good! I was very impressed with the flavors and I absolutely loved that they served the bibinka similar to a cornbread because it works! I never thought to eat bibinka with savory foods because it's normally a dessert to me, but it is definitely the icing! All the meats were definitely tasty, but the star that made these proteins pop was the vinegar! My youngest said that's just me being Filipino because he said it didn't need the vinegar, but trust me... make sure to use that vinegar. I can probably drink the vinegar because it's that good! The restaurant is nicely decorated with beautiful cultured decoration that remind you of the homeland. We love coming to restaurants like this because it helps us connect through delicious foods and culture and find our identity. The woman serving us was super nice and on top of everything. The service was super fast. She didn't bug us and knew how to interact when she needed to and definitely deserves some recognition. If you're in the area then please check this place out!

Such a nice option when you want something a little different without going across town. We ordered the coconut beef adobo, pork ribs, and the cornbread bibingka. The coconut beef adobo was definitely the standout for me. It kind of reminded me of Bicol express with a slight tanginess. Super flavorful and really good with steamed rice. The pork ribs were not your typical saucy, sweet, fall off the bone type. These were more dry style with a bark that can be a little tough, but the meat itself was still juicy underneath. The cornbread bibingka was also really good. It felt like the perfect mix of classic cornbread and bibingka, slightly sweet and soft, and the sugar on top was a nice touch. Portions were solid too. My husband and I had enough leftovers for the next day. Overall, really glad we finally got to try it, and we would definitely love to try more of their dishes someday.
