Atmosphere is nice. Quiet and modern. Service was friendly. But the menu needs work. A proper matcha latte is made hot and poured over ice, not mixing matcha powder into cold milk so it doesn't dissolve. And an iced mocha shouldn't taste solely like chocolate milk. read more

If you're looking for amazing coffee in Downtown McKinney, this is the spot. Barista recommendation is the Sopapilla Latte--I highly recommend it if you like the flavors of vanilla and cinnamon. Pretty good experience. My cortado was okay. Baristas were not rude but not friendly either. They weren't busy and I had to wait multiple minutes before they acknowledged me and took my order. Other than that it was a cool space and the drink was good. read more

My boyfriend was a little disappointed by this place because he was expecting Starbucks and very disappointed with his tiny little cup. I tried to explain to him that as Americans that frequent Starbucks, you're not actually supposed to be drinking a venti of coffee. There was a cute little board on the counter that explained all the different types of drinks, which was so helpful. I love coffee (second favorite drink behind water!) but I am no connoisseur. It explained the difference between an espresso, Americano, Cortado, etc. I always wondered but always felt dumb asking! We both got espressos and they were delicious! My boyfriend was completely put off by the fact that it was just espresso and no syrup or sugar. He was not a big fan. I, however, loved it and put some sugar in his so he would drink it haha The decor seems very hipster-esque and simple. It was pretty vacant when we visited. Had an excellent cinnamon roll latte with oat milk. It was delicious and perfectly sweet. Seating is a little bit tight so when I met up with a friend we ended up walking around Downtown McKinney. It was a really fun way to enjoy your coffee. They also have a super fun outdoor take out window if you don't want to go inside. read more

I did not love this place. I had no idea that they can't do decaf espresso drinks. I understand decaf is frowned upon, but so are my heart palpitations! The only thing they can do for decaf is café au lait or a pour over coffee. I was so sad that I couldn't try any of their numerous coffee drinks because they simply do not have espresso beans. But couldn't they use those same coffee beans and grind/brew them in espresso style? Whatever. I ordered the café au lait with almond milk and it was really mediocre. Hubby had the decaf coffee. We were unimpressed. Plus the café au lait was $3.95! Fortunately we checked in on yelp and hubby's coffee was free. We won't be returning. read more

This is literally one of the BEST coffee shop experiences I've ever had! I wish all coffee shops offered an experience like this place. Truly a gem. The coffee, spectacular. I'm not even really sure what I had bc the people there were so unbelievably nice they were having us try everything! I think it was a "warm NOLA with a shot of homemade Mexican vanilla." They're beans are from Austin. Best Coldbrew EVER! A girl was playing the piano while we were there, they have a music studio and in the back they have games, coloring books, Legos etc. It's the perfect place for a date, to work, or bring your family. Quality people that are so friendly, accommodating and just fun to be around make this coffee shop exceed any expectations. read more

I revisited this place two more times on a resent business trip. I would now say it is in my top 2 favorite coffee shops.

Beautiful shop here in old downtown area. Modern setting not my most favorite but is quite...beautiful. Same with Kai whom I've taken a picture to share. My usual Americano with honey and also a Caramel Frap for lady at McKinney Air Center. All good here. Actually I have a small gripe..large size to go cups are medium size by all standards. read more

Espresso was okay. I was pretty disappointed because I drove 15 minutes out of the way to visit this coffee shop because it was listed as a "coffee roaster". Serving generic cuvée coffee hardly qualifies as a coffee roaster. Not sure that it was the shops fault or other helpers for the listing error. The downtown area here was nice and I checked out a couple shops so it wasn't a total bust. read more

Nice spot to hangout with plenty of seating and spacious tables to easily put your laptop while you get some work done. Both the service and latte I ordered were good. I'd highly recommend stopping in if you are spending time on the McKinney square. read more

When I arrived, the door was locked 30 minutes early and the employees were wrapping up inside. I knocked and made eye contact with an employee who mouthed through the glass that they were closed. I was excited to check this place out and it wouldn't have been a big deal to take one last order to make a new regular customer. Their loss. I saw a lot of reviews on how excellent the coffee was but personally it was the worst cold brew I've had. It tasted like water slightly soaked with coffee beans with the aftertaste of something that was left too long in the fridge (kind of like a stale taste?) I always order the basic cold brew at every shop so this was definitely...interesting compared. Despite the drink I decided to stay longer to study but I found it to be particularly dark inside. I ended up throwing away my drink and leaving. read more

This store was a little hard to find because it's at the edge of downtown McKinney - modest yet cute sign outside not noticeable until you are really close by. The interior was really spacious and nice - great layout to relax in or study or work. I had just stopped by with my family to grab a quick cup of coffee - the woman in the front was super nice to me and helped me make a choice when I was a bit ambiguous with what I wanted. The coffee wasn't that great but perhaps it was just what I ordered, a bit too strong for my liking - I'm sure other stuff on the menu is great! The best part is when you check in you get a free coffee which they honor. My cousin really liked her check-in coffee so they have to be doing something right here. :) read more

Came in today with my four year old son for coffee and hot chocolate so we can work on some of his writing books for preschool. The barista was so nice, he made conversation with my son who has a speech impediment and carried on talking to him like it was nothing. He made him a sweet little hot chocolate with a bear design on top with the steamed milk in it, the size was just perfect for him. I had an iced latte, I'm pretty plain Jane with my coffee so it's not really anything special but t was good coffee! The service was fast, the price was just right, and there are plenty of available options. You can also do lunch here because they sell pastries, sandwiches and salads from hugs cafe (really great place). The atmosphere was my favorite, it was relaxed but I also felt like it was setup for children to enjoy as well because they have games and a bucket full of crayons and markets to color. Have heard great things about this place, so I finally went it to check it out. From the get-go it's got a great vibe. Fun little window to the street with some stools - which works great in downtown McKinney because it's such a cool overall area. That feel carries into the interior of the shop as well. They're using Cuvee, which is definitely above average. I ordered my go-to, which is the cortado. They only use 1 oz of steamed milk here, so it's a lot more like espresso with a little milk. Really good, but not really a cortado. That's my only real critique. The barista was very friendly and kind to my daughters who were with me. read more

Stumbled upon this place with two friends when checking out Downtown McKinney. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I had an awesome blackberry lavender cream Italian soda that the barista suggested. My friend who was driving accidentally left her car keys in the bathroom, and when she realized it they were closed. They were so kind and someone came after hours to get the keys back us.
