I was heavily disappointed with my experience here. This was my first time eating out since covid happened, but if I could go back, I wouldn't have gone here. We came here for the brewery and were hoping it would be safe to dine outdoors. Instead, we were met with patrons not wearing their masks and the restaurant management NOT enforcing it. This made me feel so uneasy. We ordered a selection of beers and some random appetizers, which were horrible in quality and definitely was not worth the price we paid. I could've made better appetizers with my air fryer. On top of the less than mediocre food, service was HORRIBLE. It took absolutely forever to get our menus, order, etc... our server was NOWHERE to be found. When he was found, he wasn't even wearing his mask correctly.... When we received our food, we were not given any plates to eat with....so I had to wait to find a server to ask for plates, which took absolutely forever. Then on top of that, when we finally got our plates, it was DIRTY...so I asked for a new one.....by the time I got my CLEAN plates, my food was already lukewarm!!! Hot, fresh food, attentive service. I guess it can be hit and miss here. Not what it used to be. We were a party of 6 on a Monday night, not very busy. Went on a hike with our dogs on a rainy day, wanted some lunch and a beer afterwards. So glad we found this place! Our two dogs were not only welcome on the patio, it is covered (big deal because it was pouring) and the waitress brought out a huge bowl of water and some milk bones for our pups. Food and beer were amazing, tasted awesome and had amazing presentation, we had the ahi tuna salad, the kabobs and a side of fries. We were traveling through with Redding our half way stop -headed to Oregon. Wanted to see football and have a little more than a quick break and fast food for lunch. We found Final Draft on Yelp and the reviews were pretty good. Yelp did not steer us wrong. Hannah our waitress was friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our visit to Final Draft while passing through Redding for one night. We enjoyed a tasty angus burger with fries and shared a 'Julie Brown' brownie. All delicious! Lots of beer choices. Great 80s playlist. Friendly waitress. Indoor and outdoor dining. The only slight snafu was after giving them our phone number so they could text us when a table was ready, they seemed to forget about us. Visited Final Draft Brewing July 11...and I can say that their Air Conditioning definitely works great. Reasonable draft beer prices--most are $7. Broad selection of beers and I was offered a small tasting of a couple of IPA's before deciding on which one. Attentive service with a smile from Brilee. Reasonably priced food with generous portions. Nice, friendly vibe. Plenty of TV's for viewing sports. Very long bar if you are alone and open to meeting new people. read more

We came in super happy and looking forward to a good time. Waitress was extremely rude and outwardly racist and demeaning towards a friend in our group. We were completely shocked at how awful she was. She even doubled down in her condescending tone towards him after it was made clear that was not okay. First we requested a new waitress from the food runner, she said "I know who you are talking about", insinuating this has happened before. After waiting a while, we raised a complaint to the hostess and she acted like we were in the wrong for being concerned. It was clear this environment is permissive to this behavior in their staff, so we decided to get up and leave before eating our food. I was happy to find Final Draft open for takeout during the Covid outbreak. I appreciate the servers and staff trying to keep things going and take care of their customers during quarantine. We are on a road trip home to Seattle from California so having a good dinner option was appreciated. I also appreciated the 32oz Crowler of IPA they canned for me "to go". Food was great. Not to mention, the food was always fantastic, however, the last two trips have not been great. Now is not a good time to start scaling back... I was pleasantly surprised by this place! We stopped in for dinner after a day of hiking in the Shasta & Redding areas, SO READY for food & beer. Each of us tried something different to drink, but all together we had a cider, a blonde ale, and a porter. We each really liked our drinks. We shared pretzel bites to start, which came out quickly and were the perfect thing to hold us over for food. Two of my friends ordered the PB&J burger, and I got the classic fried chicken sandwich with avocado and pepper jack cheese. We loved everything! The icing on the cake was the damn fries- OMG. Quite possibly my favorite fries everrrr. The service was great, super cool and laid back atmosphere (and dog friendly!) and just an overall perfect spot for a casual Saturday dinner. We came in on a Monday night and got immediate service. We ordered the Buffalo wings first, which were perfect. The texture and quality was high. The spicy level was just right. It's been a while since I've had wings this good. We then had salads. They were, well, salad (okay). The entrées were the real treat though. We shared each and had the chicken marsala and the steak kabobs. The chicken and steak kabobs were amazing. The kabobs were a little crispy on the ends but the inside was just right. The veggies on each were decent, but the mashed potatoes and cheesy risotto were heavenly. I could eat this meal often, however I don't live around here so I'll have to wait until I'm in the area again. I'm glad we tried this place out. Other than food quality, service was okay and the bathrooms were an acceptable cleanliness. The main area of opportunity would have been service. We felt like we had to flag down the waitress at the end and like she was ignoring us. She was nice overall but didn't seem to pickup nonverbal queues as expected. This was my go-to in Redding for a LONG time. Their Dirty Fries and Impeach Sour were my bi-weekly happy hour treat while I wrote out practice guidelines and drug protocols in midwifery school. I went so often the waiters and waitresses all knew me and set my sour down in front of me as soon as I sat down. They're all great, very responsive, and professional people. Other items on the menu that are noteworthy: their Wings- especially with their unique spicy peanut sauce(!!!!), their Blue Cheese Burger, their Peanut butter Jelly Time Burger, and their beer cheese! Pro tip: get their pretzels and beer cheese as an appetizer (you will NOT be disappointed) and then hold on to allll that leftover cheese and dip your less-loaded Dirty Fries into that cup of holy choodness. Great ambiance and surprisingly delicious food for a brewery. Sorry to sound judgmental but I was pleasantly shocked how good the menu selection was and the food was for a balanced audience. The kids menu of Mac and cheese and grilled cheese was not only massive It was appealing to me, a picky adult who appreciates good food and flavors. I had the peach and Buratta salad...yes....burratta. Not as common light and creamy cheese. Highly recommend to cut the intensity of arugula (a slightly spicy) and overly sweet fruit flavors. A great place to grab dinner with a big group of people. I've come to the Final Draft a couple times and enjoyed my dinner for the beer, ciders, and huge portion sizes. However, both times (one time was busy, and the other was much more empty) we had slow service come to our attention. I suspect that the person who described the watermelon hefe as watermelon juice has been tricked. Perhaps someone gave them a glass of Styrofoam packing nuts instead? I was excited about it after reading through the reviews, thinking it might be like the grapefruit hefes they sell at the grocery shop. But I was disappointed. It was mostly a wheaty taste with maybe the La Croix ghost of a watermelon rind. We tried 7 beers in total. My favorite was the imperial blueberry cider, but the rest weren't great. This brewery leans into the bitterness of hops in every drink it seems. The nitro stout described as a dessert drink was certainly heavy but it was 0% sweet (cacao powder itself is not sweet but has a nice dark chocolatey flavor) and tasted mostly like a bad strong coffee. The blood orange and some of the other fruity beers had that weird, empty synthetic taste I often find in west coast ciders. They were understaffed so I can't blame the staff for extremely long wait time to order at the bar EXCEPT for the one lady who I tried to wave down in front of me who met my eye contact, then immediately decided to see through me. Weird vibes lol Even just a "someone will be with you shortly" acknowledgment or "taking orders isn't my job" would have been adequate. On the other hand, Monkless in Bend, OR has fabulous service, beers, and atmosphere. That's what I wish Final Draft could have been. read more

The host wasn't super welcoming, but what turned this into a 5 star experience for me was our server. She was so friendly, helpful, efficient, and really made us feel welcome. We didn't have their food, but ordered two flights instead on this late Sunday afternoon after a day of hiking. We enjoyed most of the beers, and I particularly loved their fruity offerings. The Watermelon Hefe was my fave! It was like a refreshing watermelon juice. They have an incredible amount of seating inside and out. We felt like we had our own little private area in the back of their patio. They have an extensive beer and food menu, in which the food certainly was tempting. Most of all, the BEST Beyond Burgers ever. so many restaurants put their heart and soul into real meat, but this place made the best beyond burger that I've ever had in a restaurant. What we ordered: started with Dirty Fries and Fried Artichokes We split 3 sandwiches: Brisket French Dip, the Ultimate Chicken Sandwich and the Sweet and Saucy burger. The sides were twisted seasoned fries and colossal beer battered onion rings. Favorite: The Dirty Fries, Brisket French Dip, onion rings, chicken in the chicken sandwich. The menu here is great! The vibe varies a lot depending on the day and time, and service tends to be awful. The servers seem consistently understaffed & overstretched. This tends to manifest as rushed, grumpy table or bar service. I've been in on multiple occasions, and the menu & location have brought me back, though I think my last visit will remain my last, thanks to my inept, churlish server... I came in during happy hour for brunch. (I'm an accomplished tattoo artist who makes $200/hour, is booked 3 months in advance and who waitresses her way through college 20 years ago ~ point being that while coming from working class socioeconomic status, my career is lucrative and I generally spend money freely ...and I always tip generously. When tips are warranted. I survived an independently funded college degree in Marin County almost entirely based upon my waitressing & bartending tips. One good turn deserves another, and I'm happy to find excuses to spoil my servers.) I arrived well before the overtly affluent couple who entered and sat to my right at the bar. However, I was wearing just a casual tshirt & jeans - while the couple was dripping with the usual ostentatious indications of prosperity. Graff diamonds; William Westmancott; Louis Vuitton; Christian Louboutins and a shiny anklet an aging, though wealthy, ankle. My order was not even taken prior to the couple's order being delivered to them. Suffice it to say that my young server ignored me. Naïveté at its height! To think that the rich will be generous with their riches, to hope that the wealthy will display compassion for the working class simply because they have more to give. Last weekend we hiked the Canyon Creeks Trail in the Trinity Alps and outside of enjoying the fresh air, I was fixated on what we were going to eat on the way home. When we got back to service I YELP'd places to get a good burger and I came across Final Draft Brewing Company. As i read the list if the menu items, I started dalviating profusely and the other backpackers in the caravan were hyped to get a BOMB burger, fries, and beer. This spot most certainly delivered! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, and the food hit the spot! I had the Sweet & Saucy Burger and my fiance had the Ultimate Chicken Sandwich (fried and buffalo sauce). The Jefferson burger is fantastic. Well, technically the Jefferson burger without bbq sauce is fantastic. The bbq is just too sweet for me. But basically it's a big hearty burger with a couple onion rings on it, probably some bacon, and a big slice of cheese. It's a burger you would eat before you go wrestle a bear or ... make something out of metal with fire. A proper substantial meal. Trust me, it's worth it. Speaking of onion rings! That's the only side I've had from there, but they are pretty good. The flavor is excellent but they maybe go a little heavier on the batter than I would. They are delicious. If you have time for just one meal while passing through Redding this is where you need to go. An exhaustive beer list (seriously there's one for even the snobbiest among you), a cool and spacious red brick, industrial vibe (with excellent A/C) and outside seating if desired. The food is excellent and covers a range that should satisfy the whole crew. I recommend the fish tacos, the street tacos (with carne asada) and the pb&j burger (sounds wrong but tastes so right). If you have picky kids in tow there are staples like chicken fingers and fries that can't miss. The beer list is almost overwhelming but the servers are all expert guides as needed. Don't love beer? They have an imperial blurberry cider that is amazing (and strong at 10.8%) and several wines. Speaking of servers they're all long-timers who know everything about the beers and menu and they work HARD. They are what put this place over the top for me.
