Updated review time. This restaurant truly has my heart as many times as I've been here since the day they opened. I love that they always reinvent the menu and the best part is their rooftop events. You can find the events on their website. From happy hour to brunch or lunch the food here will not disappoint. I especially enjoy their deviled eggs. Simple but delicious and I love that they're pink from being pickled. For cocktails I'm always down with O.P.P. a prickly pear hibiscus cocktail that hits every time. My latest visit brought me in for the Chef's Table Crawfish boil. This took stage on the rooftop of the Canary Hotel. Chef John Vasquez and team really outdid themselves by making this a memorable experience! We sat communal style and they rolled out the Louisiana style crawfish on the table. They were a beautiful reddish orange color and tasted just like the sea. It also came with potatoes, corn, artichoke, sausage and clarified butter for dipping. I do wish it was a little more seasoned, but I don't know if that's possible with the shell on. Nonetheless it still was delicious! Paired with some brews from Validation Ale and it was the perfect combination. The views, staff, vibes and people is what made the evening a memorable experience. Overall, a great restaurant to check out at the Canary Hotel.

The last time my friend and I were at Finch & Fork was 2016. Fast forward to 2026, we did not realize it was attached to the Kimpton Canary Hotel that we were staying at this trip. Totally redecorated, totally different feel than when we were there in 2016. So our last night in Santa Barbara we decided to take advantage of their kick-ass Happy Hour. We sat at the bar right at 4:00, Kayla was our bar tender for the evening. We indulged in HH Martinis, Beer and Sparking Wine. We took advantage of the HH $1.00 Oysters and each had a HH 50% off Smash Burger. Great presentation, the Oysters were very fresh and shucked clean. The burgers were amazing. We ordered and consumed a lot in the 4-5:00PM HH period and I will say shortly after 4:00 the place was filled. LOL, Needless to say, we never made it out for dinner and it was well worth it. Atmosphere: bright, refreshing. Service: very good. Food: Happy hour fantastic deal.

* Visited for a birthday celebration; reserved room w/ a party of about 24 guests around 7pm This restaurant is nestled inside the Canary Hotel. First, I want to say how elegant the hotel & restaurant are. There's a rooftop access where the pool is, and you can see gorgeous views of Santa Barbara. The staff here are incredibly kind, and quick to assist with what you need. As we were a large party, the staff was very patient and made sure everyone was situated. OKAY THE FOOD: * We had a preset menu, but everything was pretty tasty! * Tuna Poke: This was very delish - I loved that it was already portioned nicely and was the perfect appetizer. * Caesar Salad: The salad was quite yummy! It was loaded with LOTS of cheese. * Filet Mignon & sides: Very tasty, and was cooked to perfection. This dish came with mushrooms as well, but since I'm allergic, they were kind to remove the mushrooms. I have heard good things about their brunch dishes, and hope to try their brunch dishes next time I'm in town :)

Visited Finch & Fork with my girlfriend. We had a lovely breakfast. Service was attentive and friendly. Our food was delicious. I'm normally not a yogurt person, but I really enjoyed theirs. I'm pretty sure the granola was homemade or at the very least sourced from a whole food brand. The baked pears added the perfect amount of sweetness. Pancakes and Avocado toast were also delicious. The cocktail is dangerous; I could have sipped on it all day. The restaurant is located inside The Kimpton. It's a beautiful property. Shoutout to Robert who was a pleasure to meet. Oh, and PARKING is COMPLIMENTARY if you dine at the restaurant, how awesome is that! (don't forget to tip the valet)

Came here for breakfast even though we weren't staying there. Had a few lattes to start and then had their shakshuka and their benedict. The shakshuka was perfect for dipping without making you too full and the Benedict jam was slightly charred in a delicious way and the sauce was sweet and tasty. Service was super fast and friendly! It's a lovely place with numerous seats inside. Can't comment on parking as we walked there.

My friends and I came to Finch & Fork for their 'Bubbles & Brunch' experience. The entrance to this spot is through the Kimpton Canary Hotel and is not difficult to locate. Surprisingly enough, we had no wait on a Saturday during optimal brunch time. DRINK/FOOD: Bottomless Mimosas - They were HUGE. They came with three juice options: orange, cranberry, and/or grapefruit. In my opinion, the grapefruit juice pairing was the best. You can get buzzed pretty fast off of these. Shashuka (3.5/5) - It was my first time having shashuka, and I think this spot provided a decent overall introduction to the dish. The pinsa bread was delicious, but the default amount you receive is definitely not enough. I found myself eating the tomato sauce by itself, and it felt as if I was just eating spoonfuls of fancy spaghetti sauce. (Could've gotten extra pinsa for $3... but nah.) Breakfast Burrito - My friend had this and stated that it was subpar. Its components did not consist of anything to provide crispy, structural textures, so overall, it felt like she was eating breakfast mush. SERVICE: The service was phenomenal here. Everyone was super attentive, so our waters and mimosas were always refilled super quickly. They also do check up on you quite frequently, but I think that's mainly because we opted for bottomless mimosas. TLDR// I would say this place is better known for its booze and not its bites. Come here to get buzzed accompanied by great service.

We had dinner and lunch here while we stayed at the kimpton and everything was delicious. Service can be a bit slow but it's friendly. The food is on the pricier end as well but they have healthy portions. For food at breakfast we tried the yogurt chia bowl, traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast) and the avocado toast with smoked salmon. The yogurt bowl wasn't overly sweet and I loved all the toppings on it. The avocado toast was huge! They definitely didn't skimp on toppings and the smoked salmon was perfect. Not fishy or too smoky/salty. For dinner we got the mushroom noodles and the confit fried chicken. The noodles were very savory and rich but didn't feel too heavy. The confit fried chicken came with a huge piece of thigh and leg piece. Perfectly fried and the potatoes and broccolini were well cooked. We also got wine with dinner and they let us try some before we committed to glasses.

I would rate this more of a 3.5 stars. We decided to have Sunday brunch here before we left Santa Barbara. My friend put us on their waitlist through their website while heading over. The place was empty when we arrived. Finch & Fork was located in the Kimpton Canary Hotel. It was a very nice hotel. We parked in the parking structure next door to the hotel. We started our brunch with the F&F Deviled eggs. You can order it by two or four. We opted for the 4 since it was three of us. The deviled eggs had pork belly in it. I thought it taste more on the vinegary side but it was good. It was burst with different flavors profile. For my entrée, I decided to order the F&F Eggs Benedict. The Eggs Benedict was okay. I did like the English muffin and the smashed potatoes but the benedict itself was nothing special. I thought everything we ate was very typical and nothing really something I would come back for. I think the chef cooked well, I think they need a new revamp brunch menu to have better options. The service was good. Overall, there are plenty of other brunch places in SB but maybe their lunch or dinner might be better.

Took my mom here for Mother's Day brunch after seeing generally positive reviews online. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the price point at all. First, Finch & Fork is essentially just the restaurant inside the Kimpton Canary Hotel. What I mean is that it's not a restaurant that happens to be inside of hotel property (think Caruso's). It's just where you eat as a hotel guest that is hungry for brunch. We had an 11:00 AM reservation, which I believe was the earliest brunch seating. The hotel lobby was packed and chaotic when we arrived. We checked in and sat down to wait, but while we were waiting, multiple other parties of two who checked in after us were seated first. Not a huge issue on its own, but not a great start. The Mother's Day brunch itself consisted of a buffet plus an entrée selection. The buffet had three main sections: seafood (oysters, shrimp, tuna poke), salads, and miscellaneous bites and desserts like deviled eggs, Italian wedding soup, and macarons. Honestly, the buffet felt more like cocktail hour appetizers at a wedding than a true luxury brunch spread. The entrées were fine. The service was fine. Nothing was bad, but nothing felt memorable or special either. The atmosphere was also extremely loud...noticeably so. What really dropped the rating for me was the value. For two people with no alcohol (just iced tea), the total came out to $264.60. That price was honestly shocking for what was offered. Nothing about the food, service, or atmosphere justified that kind of cost. As we were leaving, we noticed a Photo Booth setup and a bouquet-making station across the lobby. No one had mentioned either of these to us, and the bouquet station appeared unattended, so we weren't even sure whether it was included or an extra charge. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, especially because this was meant to be a special Mother's Day outing for my mom. If you're just looking for a casual hotel brunch/lunch/dinner, it's perfectly fine. But for a holiday brunch at this price point, I expected something much more polished, elevated, and memorable.

Everything I ate here tasted really good but the deviled eggs were exceptional. I really like deviled eggs generally but these were just perfect. The meat on top and the color of the egg made it so good. The restaurant was very nice and had a cozy feel. It is inside the hotel but on a seperate part. The service was nice and the salad I had was really good. The salmon was cooked right and the lettuce was crispy and fresh.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at Finch and Fork and what a treat it was. If you're not staying at the hotel, but looking for an excellent breakfast or brunch location it's very convenient as there is hotel parking. We were unable to park at the hotel lot due to the farmers market, but I think in general it would be a great place if you didn't want to worry about parking. We were delighted to enjoy bottomless mimosas for $28 to augment our brunch. The service was very attentive and all the staff were very friendly. The food came very quickly. As we were there for brunch, we ordered breakfast burritos and I tried the brace beef short ribs over sweet potato hash. Everything was very good and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. I don't know that I would have the short ribs for breakfast again. it seemed more like a lunch or dinner item with eggs . However, it was as described in the menu and it was very good. The restaurant is light and airy and it's a convenient location for walking around State Street before or after you eat. I don't think this is our last trip to Finch and Fork!

The food was excellent!! The Shakshuka was perfectly spiced and absolutely delicious. The Lemon Ricotta pancakes were loaded with flavor and topped with fresh strawberries. Our server was very nice. The atmosphere was quiet and luxurious inside. The prices were definitely on the high side. The location is inside the Kimpton Hotel.

Finch & Fork is the all day restaurant and bar at the Kimpton. The b'ness event I attended had an afta party at the bar to close out the festivities. Prior to the afta party, Ivan was a great bartender! He poured drinks for me on Wed & Thu during my stay. He is super nice & friendly. The bar itself is small, but there are a number of small tables nearby. All in all, a very positive experience vs the mediocre experience at the hotel. I would come just to the bar to have Ivan pour me drinks.

If I could give it 2.5 stars I would. Great atmosphere but the food wasn't that great and neither was the service. Also I think it deserves three $$$ signs instead of two, it was more expensive than I was expecting but still "fairly" priced. But the entrees don't come with a side so you need to order one which is $11-16 so quickly jumps the price up, but you can split one side with two people. read more

I'm on the fence about Finch & Fork, part of Kimpton Hotels... When I went I was served one of the very best Brussel sprout dishes I've ever eaten! -- but neither the entrees nor dessert stood up to the boldness of the appetizer dish. The drinks are not bad, but they are far from balanced and, in my opinion, do leave much to be desired by an educated cocktail drinker. I'd go back to try the current menus both food and beverage, but my expectations wouldn't be too high. Additionally it should be noted that although Kimpton Hotels are known for their customer service, DO NOT COME TO FINCH & FORK ONE SINGLE MINUTE PAST THEIR LAST CALL AND EXPECT A DRINK OF ANY SORT. Do expect to be rudely turned away and immediately ignored. Their customer service on my last visit was INCREDIBLY disappointing. I live in Anaheim and was craving brussel sprouts and a drink and decided to drive 111 miles up after work ended. At 11:30 PM I called to ask if the bar was still open, which it was. They confirmed they would be doing last call at 11:45 PM, which was the exact minute I ran into the door from parking my car. In the attempt to be a courteous patron I waited for the host to tell me I could go to the bar, where the two bartenders promptly sent me on my way. They told me to come back the following day so I informed them I had driven 5 hours after work to get to Finch & Fork and would be driving home that night, and their response was telling me I should arrive earlier next time. As a disclaimer, I used to be a server and I too hate guests who try to come in at the last moment. But when someone has driven over 100 miles to experience your establishment *and* you are a part of a company known for guest service *and* you can legally still sell alcohol without endangering your liquor license, you do so by offering a single round and apologizing more cannot be done. I miss the brussel sprouts but I don't know that I'd brave the service again. read more

I absolutely loved Finch & Fork! The decor and food were both amazing. It is connected to the Kimpton which is also a beautiful hotel. We got dinner and drinks and were able to relax and chat as a group for quite a while. Although it isn't at all a vegan or diet specialized restaurant, we were with two vegans and the servers accommodated their requests and we were able to find things all to share which was great. We got the deviled eggs, shishito peppers, and sweet potato babganoush to start. The deviled eggs were hot pink and the best deviled eggs hands down I've ever eaten. The babganoush I normally wouldn't order but was happy the rest of the table wanted it as it was truly amazing! For my entree I got the pasta which the seem to rotate seasonally. I'm not sure if the pasta was homemade or not but it was cooked to perfection and the sauce and veggies in it completely pulled it together. Couldn't recommend eating here more highly. read more

Delicious, innovative dishes. Everything we ordered was wonderful. We had the corn skillet (super yum), the cauliflower skillet (relish), the blistered chiles, the fish tacos and the beet salad. Visiting Santa Barbara area for a few days, this place is a highlight for me! Ambience, food, and service were all excellent. Of our 4 entrees, the scallops were the outstanding winner, though the lamb burger and risotto were excellent as well. The kitchen sent out a jar of pickled vegetables, which were flavorful and a nice touch. Would definitely dine here again! read more

I've been here for dinner, and it was amazing. I came for brunch... Not so much. Coffee - delicious, robust Lox with house smoked salmon - unpalatable I've had smoked salmon plenty of times at various restaurants, it's my favorite dish to order for breakfast. This particular one hurt my nose and my taste buds. It really did smell and taste terrible. You know when all the fish wash up ashore dead, that smell, that's what it reminded me of. I asked for lemon to try and cut the taste- no dice. I couldn't eat the salmon, so I asked for one sunny side egg to supplement my meal for protein. The manager came over, apologized, said he'd take care of the meal for us, and explained that they used a different type of wood to smoke the salmon. Apparently nobody tasted it before serving it. I'm still dubious about the wood being the only issue here. At the end, I was presented with a bill for my two coffees and eggs. At any other establishment my entire meal would be comped because I had to taste that awful fish, and let me tell you the taste does not go away. And now I feel sick. It's a shame because the dinner service is so well done. I hope my experience is just an outlier. read more

We had a 9:00 reservation on a Saturday and decided to stop in early for a drink. We were surprised they had tables available, so we were seated right away. For an appetizer we got the cheddar hush puppies, which were delicious. My husband ordered the scallops and describes them as "flawless". I ordered the Saturday night special of Farmers Market Lasagna. It came out in a skillet and was so hot and taking so long to cool that I had to transfer it to another plate. It had broccoli in the lasagna, which I normally like, but it was really bitter and overpowering, so I was forced to pick it out. For dessert we got the Afternoon Delight, which was amazing. Our service was quick and our waiter was well-versed in making menu suggestions. read more

I went here for dinner this weekend with my girlfriend and we may have a new favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara. Everything we had, from the pickled veggies to snack on to the deliciously crafted cocktails, was simply amazing. The deviled eggs were almost too beautiful to eat but we quickly got over that sentiment after trying one. The sea bass was so delicious it'll be tough to order anything else on my next visit. My mouth is watering just writing this little review. The restaurant itself was very nice and well decorated, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Brunch - after reading all be yelp reviews for best brunch in Santa Barbara, my wife and I decide to go to finch and folk. It was a complete let down! The hostess seats us in a pretty empty area ( nice & quite). took the waitress almost 15 to come and offer us water and by that time we had already decided what to order. The actually food didn't show up for another 35 minutes in the mean time two of tables of four, who had sat down after us, we're receiving the food. How hard is it to make a omelette. Finally, the waitress comes over and ask how we're doing? Said need our food. I almost got up and left but as I was about to leave the food was heading over. The food was good but definitely not worth the wait. Not going back. I'm surprise I'm giving it two stars. read more

I only came in for happy hour with a friend and it was good. The happy hour special was $5 beers which is ok and the happy hour food specials were a good selection. The deviled eggs were good and the garlic fries were awesome. I thought the happy hour food selection was right on though because i wanted to have everything. The bartenders were really friendly and they had the game which is always a plus. read more

We stayed at the Canary hotel, above this restaurant and ate here our first night in Santa Barbara. The food was quite good. The menu seemed limited and the prices seemed a bit high. The decor was very inviting in the "pub" style and the service was good. We especially enjoyed our bus man, who really cared about us and our needs. read more

Good food and very good service. A little bit pricey, but that's expected as it's part of the Kimpton Hotel. The food was very tasty and the service was great, so my overall experience was very good. My server, Nicole, was very helpful and friendly. She was great in helping me get some very specific food prepared, as I was following a strict nutrition plan at the time of my visit. If you are looking for high quality food and good service for breakfast, I recommend the Finch and Fork. read more

amazing food. wonderful & fun atmosphere. Great spot to hang at the bar with drinks and apps or have a nice sit down mean. the service is always top notch. definitely recommend their cocktails. also it is a good idea to make a reservation, they get pretty busy especially on the weekends. We had a reservation for a group of 8 on a friday night and they were about 10 minutes late getting us to seat so bought us a round at the bar while we waiting, not a huge gesture but very thoughtful and helped to start our evening out right. read more

Delicious. Six of us dined here so we tried most of the main dishes. I snuck food off 3 plates haha. The steak very tender and a very big serving. I got the sea bass, it was delicious but I didn't get full. The pork chop was definitely the highlight (wouldn't have expected that!). We had the Mac and cheese, chicken wings and fries as appetizers. Probably the best Mac and cheese I've tried (it's hard to find a place that does it well), and those wings were amazing! It's rare that I find a business good enough to rate 5 stars, but this one well deserved it. Instead of bread, pickled veggies are brought to the table - a reflection of the more healthful, quality foods served. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was a cozy one, and the seating was very comfortable - a plush booth with An extra throw pillow for added comfort. Super expensive, but tasty. I was floored by 12 dollar bloody Marys. They weren't even in a pint glass, just small tall glasses or served with anything special. Wow not what I expected had high hopes I guess. The food is really just mediocre at best in my opinion . We had some sides like Roasted Brussels Sprouts which lucked attention to detail there were lots of over burned pieces, there was to much of maple syrup on it and not enough acidity very dry over done. The next dish I had cauliflower which was ok but didn't make an impression. Next dish kale salad was good I love kale and was really good but if I was the chef I would mix it up a little with a different kind of salad like romaine for instance some people have problem with too much kale because it's to tough (like my wife ) She had the kale with Salomon so she had to switch the salad for just spring salad the last dish my Daughter had the steak NY strip And it was just not good sorry the stake was thin rubbery and veiny just not a good quality of meat Not sure what are they thinking in the kitchen but That was a big disappointment on our part . It's a place that charges a lots of money and it's not adequate to the quality of food Sorry but it's honest and I really thought that we would love this place but ...I didn't feel any LOVE in that food and I thing besides the quality that is the biggest problem there. read more

All the waiters and waitresses started clapping and celebrating with us. It was such a sweet moment. The integrity of everyone here deserves recognition. Someone easily could have pocketed an engagement ring, but instead they made sure it got back to its owner and genuinely cared about helping us find it. And while I was searching, I have to say...the food and drinks coming out looked delicious! After this experience, I would absolutely come back to actually eat here. We just left the restaurant after having been told that we should try out their banana milkshake for dessert. We had a great meal at Bouchon just up the street which I would highly recommend phenomenal food great touch. Why we left to come here is anybody's guess except it had great yelp reviews and my wife really likes banana milkshakes. We sat down and waited 15 minutes to get served and another 15 minutes to get her milkshake. It was totally melted waited five minutes for the waiter to come by showed it to him and he said oh yeah they were eight on the counter yours must've melted let me get you another one. It was like drinking water. He brought the second one and it wasn't much better we drank an ounce or two of it and left it. when the waiter came by and asked how it was we told him it really wasn't any better than the first he then proceeded to walk off we threw $10 on the table after he bought us our check and left. You would've thought he would've offered another dessert or something since obviously whoever is making the shakes had no idea what they were doing. We had made a reservation for dinner there tomorrow night which of course we canceled after we walked out. I wish I could say this was our only bad experience at a Kimpton hotel or Kimpton restaurant but unfortunately it isn't. Approximately two weeks ago we went to a property in DC showed up at 9:30 at night to be told that they gave away our room asked if they could help us find another room she said sorry just leave if you don't want the accommodations that we can offer. Don't need to go any further except to say kimpton has expanded to quickly and although they have qualified people in certain places they've allowed other employees who shouldn't be near any of their properties to work for them. RUN away from this restaurant as quickly as you can. Just read another comment on yelp about a local three months ago talking about how the banana milkshake had changed it used to be in a mason jar now it's in a small glass cup now and they are blended now as opposed to layering it. His comment was exactly the same as mine don't ever have a dessert at this restaurant go to the ice cream shop across the street glad to see somebody else knows what a good dessert taste like. read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Finch & Fork restaurant yesterday and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. Despite making a last-minute reservation for a party of 10, they were able to accommodate us without any hassle. The hostess was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Now let's talk about the food. It was absolutely outstanding! We started with the Black Garlic Caesar salad, which had the perfect combination of flavors with the little gem lettuce, parmigiano-reggiano, and brioche croutons (grilled chicken was a bonus!). The King Salmon with gigante beans and piquillo peppers was cooked to perfection and the marbled peewee potatoes added a delightful texture to the dish. One of the highlights of the meal was the Short Rib Pappardelle Pasta. The combination of the tender short rib, wild mushroom soffritto, and crème fraîche created a rich and flavorful dish that left us wanting more. And let's not forget about the 12oz Creekstone Prime New York Steak, which was cooked to perfection and served with delicious weiser farms potato, baby carrots, cipollini onion, and a mouthwatering red wine demi-glace. Side dish: Lemon Herb Broccolini was a delightful surprise. The flavors of preserved lemon, calabrian chili, and garlic elevated this side dish to a whole new level. It was truly amazing! This is a great place, maybe even my favorite restaurant in all of Santa Barbara in terms for service and food. I come here almost every day after Yoga with some of my friends for breakfast, this is seriously the best restaurant you can find in the small city of Santa Barbara. The tourists love it, the locals love it, everything is amazing. I usually start my meals with their juices which are only six dollars, they have the best freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and who could forget a good orange juice? They have some really good fresh fruit smoothies too that I like getting too. They have a nice local honey smoothie and also Greek yogurt one that fill me up for only seven dollars. For breakfast I love to get their Deviled eggs which you can share with friends for only eight dollars as a starter. For my main course my friend and I usually split "The Chop" which sets you back 19 dollars, it comes with smoked salmon, quinoa, amazing avocado of course, and really sweet cilantro dressing. One of my favorites would have to be the "Huevos Rancheros" which sets you back 15 dollars, it has delicious hot crispy tortillas, cotija cheese, laid with salsa and two eggs over easy for the perfect meal after a hard workout. I dined at Finch & Fork for brunch and was blown away by the Short Rib & Sweet Potato Hash. The meat was so tender that it melted in my mouth, and the sweet potatoes were just as soft and sweet. While I wasn't a fan of the brussel sprouts, which I found slightly bitter, the dish as a whole was delicious. I also tried Bailey's Brioche French Toast, and it was well-executed. The sugar-coated walnuts, strawberries, and blueberries that came with it were a perfect complement. The butter, vanilla mascarpone, and maple syrup tied everything together nicely. While the food was great, the service could have been better. Our food came out a bit slowly, and our server wasn't very attentive. Despite this, I still enjoyed the overall experience. Loved the place I can not wait to get back to Santa Barbara to try some different food. My husband and I were there for a special weekend away from the kiddos and I feel compelled to tell you about this restaurant. The place was busy and hopping as we were there on a Saturday night. For the busiest day of the week there was no wait and the food was timely. The place seemed very busy and the atmosphere was enjoyable. We had the Ribeye and Scallops and both dishes were delicious. The scallops literally melted in our mouths. For dessert we had the smores and I did not think it was possible to make smores better, but the salted caramel was fabulous. Finch & Fork is our favorite place to eat in Santa Barbara. The only critique I have is their beer prices could drop a little compared to what's available in the area. Other than that, all of the food is awesome! On the pricey side but well worth it, even the kids PB&J looks great! We normally skip the kids meal and go for the short ribs, best ever. I love the trout as well, the deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts are the way to go for apps. The daily specials are really where it is at! I could eat the Wednesday bouillabaisse or Friday seafood pot pie every week and my lady and her gals love Thursday Pork & Cork. My hubby and i found this place exploring Santa Barbara's streets over the weekend and we stopped in for brunch. Hospitality was off the charts from the host Rene and our waiter Pablo! They both were smiling each time they spoke with us and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Food was great - try their roast pork belly twist on eggs benedict! Amaaaaaazing! Deviled eggs were super yummy, too. I didn't share with my hubby after he got a taste hehehe i liked that they served fresh pressed juice options. This place is A-Okay! We've had our X-mas Party Lunch there twice! First time was better than the second. A couple mistakes with our orders (as it normally happens with a large group) but service was excellent! We had a great time! They validated our parking receipt and we got free parking, which was cool. Second time, service was meh. Our drinks were terrible. Thank goodness it was on the boss' tab. I probably won't be paying for happy hour there. Food choices are alright and they have a reasonably priced lunch menu. It's great that they have healthy options. I would like to start out by saying the server was awesome. Russ was attentive and knew a lot about the menu. I ordered the New York Strip and the Mascarpone Cheesecake for dessert. The food took a while to come out and when it eventually did I thought that it was a little underwhelming. My steaks fat wasn't rendered properly so there was a lot of hard (somewhat inedible) fat remaining on the steak. The rest of the ingredients weren't as warm as they could have been. The dessert arrived and it was excellent apart from a certain flaw. I thought that the base was a little soft. The base should provide a little of resistance when it comes to chopping it. read more

Went here with my girlfriend and had a tremendous experience. It was real busy, the service was great and the food was better. We had the scallops and seabass. The best part is we had the waiter match our food with wine and he was spot on. We started out with some delicious oysters and a beat salad, both were delicious. Love the carrot puree with the beat salad. We topped our meal off with a milkshake and cake that was fabulous, seriously the coffee cake was off the charts. This is hands down the best meal experience I have had in a long time. I ordered off the lounge menu and got the Bacon Burger and the Mac n Cheese. The Mac and Cheese is perfectly cheesy and delicious- has bits of bacon in it. About the size of your hand, but a good starter to share with someone. Next, the burger. Really enjoyed my meal here. I had the some delicious Kusshi oysters and the Ribeye. I was not disappointed at all and I liked that the ribeye was organic. My wife had the sea bass and it was impressive, the sauce was devine. The service was knowledgeable about the local wines so we bought a local bottle of Pino and it was marvelous, I suggest asking for the Stanford if you like drinking the local grapes. Finally we had the Sticky Toffee cake for desert and it was delectable. Can wait to bring my Mom there for mothers day. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in town. I absolutely loved the ambiance. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The dark wood furnishing, warm wall colors, leather seats, wood beams, hardwood floors, and Persian-style area rugs provide a relaxing sophisticated dining atmosphere. Finch and fork has grown to be one of my favorite restaurants. I love to grab a seat at the bar. I usually start with their daily soup, I've had their butternut and the potato leak, very creamy and velvety and that always add something crunch my ontop so there is some texture. Brussels sprouts are great, a little sweet but if you enjoy dishes that aren't as savory this one is for you. Love the salmon and the the short ribs. Had maybe one of the best dinners of all time. The waiter Brett was amazing. He nailed our whole experience. We started with the mac n cheese....and then moved on to the trout and duck...oh my god...I thought I was in heaven. I have never had duck so tender before it was like a filet mignon. To top it all off it was our anniversary, we had a bottle of wine from the SB area was amazing. I think it was the refugio or something like that, but ask the waiters they know. My girls and I go here all the time, I haven't been disappointed yet. We love the milkshakes, the brunch and breakfast food. They also have a kids menu for those of you who are wondering. I don't understand some of the bad reviews this place has received, they have been great on several visits of mine, friendly staff that is tentative, and knowledgeable. Had dinner last night at the bar for the first time @ Finch & Fork. Loved the fried chicken, honestly the best I've ever had!! The chicken was crispy, moist and all the above, pure edible bliss. I had to say I was equally impressed with the mixologist Bruce, hands down the best bartender in S.B. and made my night with his charm and liquid skills. I like the sit down area across from the restaurant. But the main restaurant leaves much to be desired. The Canary is a classy hotel, but the restaurant is not. Firstly, it has now become very expensive. Drinks are expensive, as is the very average food. The hors d'oeuvres of chicken wings was poor. The main meal was just OK. Me and my husband and kids fell in love yesterday morning. We go out for breakfast every Sunday but decided to try something new that none of us have been to. After finding Finch and Fork on yelp, we agreed to try it out. WOW was this one of the best decisions we made...the eggs were AMAZING. I was also a little surprised that bread and butter cost extra if you'd like them before your main course. Overall, I want to thank the chef for preparing such delicious food. The restaurant is well decorated, and is a beautiful addition to the end of the lobby. They also have a lot of outdoor seating as well. We shared the Avocado and Citrus salad, the spicy burnt chili shrimp pasta and the Lemon and Ricotta cake. Everything we had was delicious. The salad they were able to split into two portions. It was so good with avocado, grapefruit, pistachio and goat cheese in a light vinaigrette. YUM! The spicy shrimp pasta was equally as yummy. It smelled and tasted so good. It had a smokey flavor and was surprisingly a bit spicy. The lemon and ricotta cake topped off the meal. The cake was dense, but had that light lemon which was a great complement to the heavy ricotta flavor. Very well balanced. Overall, a great experience with just a notch off for the weird entry experience.

Wifey and I pulled for dinner with a reservation and were seated right away. They have a nice interior with a lovely patio for dining as well. We ended up getting a spread with the Corn Pancake, Prawn Toast, Soy Garlic Wings, Wild Rice Pork Katsu, and the Chicken Ginger Rice. Everything that we had was amazing and all of the staff were super welcoming and accommodating. Definitely book your next table here and you will not regret it!
