Updated review time. This restaurant truly has my heart as many times as I've been here since the day they opened. I love that they always reinvent the menu and the best part is their rooftop events. You can find the events on their website. From happy hour to brunch or lunch the food here will not disappoint. I especially enjoy their deviled eggs. Simple but delicious and I love that they're pink from being pickled. For cocktails I'm always down with O.P.P. a prickly pear hibiscus cocktail that hits every time. My latest visit brought me in for the Chef's Table Crawfish boil. This took stage on the rooftop of the Canary Hotel. Chef John Vasquez and team really outdid themselves by making this a memorable experience! We sat communal style and they rolled out the Louisiana style crawfish on the table. They were a beautiful reddish orange color and tasted just like the sea. It also came with potatoes, corn, artichoke, sausage and clarified butter for dipping. I do wish it was a little more seasoned, but I don't know if that's possible with the shell on. Nonetheless it still was delicious! Paired with some brews from Validation Ale and it was the perfect combination. The views, staff, vibes and people is what made the evening a memorable experience. Overall, a great restaurant to check out at the Canary Hotel.

The last time my friend and I were at Finch & Fork was 2016. Fast forward to 2026, we did not realize it was attached to the Kimpton Canary Hotel that we were staying at this trip. Totally redecorated, totally different feel than when we were there in 2016. So our last night in Santa Barbara we decided to take advantage of their kick-ass Happy Hour. We sat at the bar right at 4:00, Kayla was our bar tender for the evening. We indulged in HH Martinis, Beer and Sparking Wine. We took advantage of the HH $1.00 Oysters and each had a HH 50% off Smash Burger. Great presentation, the Oysters were very fresh and shucked clean. The burgers were amazing. We ordered and consumed a lot in the 4-5:00PM HH period and I will say shortly after 4:00 the place was filled. LOL, Needless to say, we never made it out for dinner and it was well worth it. Atmosphere: bright, refreshing. Service: very good. Food: Happy hour fantastic deal.

* Visited for a birthday celebration; reserved room w/ a party of about 24 guests around 7pm This restaurant is nestled inside the Canary Hotel. First, I want to say how elegant the hotel & restaurant are. There's a rooftop access where the pool is, and you can see gorgeous views of Santa Barbara. The staff here are incredibly kind, and quick to assist with what you need. As we were a large party, the staff was very patient and made sure everyone was situated. OKAY THE FOOD: * We had a preset menu, but everything was pretty tasty! * Tuna Poke: This was very delish - I loved that it was already portioned nicely and was the perfect appetizer. * Caesar Salad: The salad was quite yummy! It was loaded with LOTS of cheese. * Filet Mignon & sides: Very tasty, and was cooked to perfection. This dish came with mushrooms as well, but since I'm allergic, they were kind to remove the mushrooms. I have heard good things about their brunch dishes, and hope to try their brunch dishes next time I'm in town :)

Visited Finch & Fork with my girlfriend. We had a lovely breakfast. Service was attentive and friendly. Our food was delicious. I'm normally not a yogurt person, but I really enjoyed theirs. I'm pretty sure the granola was homemade or at the very least sourced from a whole food brand. The baked pears added the perfect amount of sweetness. Pancakes and Avocado toast were also delicious. The cocktail is dangerous; I could have sipped on it all day. The restaurant is located inside The Kimpton. It's a beautiful property. Shoutout to Robert who was a pleasure to meet. Oh, and PARKING is COMPLIMENTARY if you dine at the restaurant, how awesome is that! (don't forget to tip the valet)

Came here for breakfast even though we weren't staying there. Had a few lattes to start and then had their shakshuka and their benedict. The shakshuka was perfect for dipping without making you too full and the Benedict jam was slightly charred in a delicious way and the sauce was sweet and tasty. Service was super fast and friendly! It's a lovely place with numerous seats inside. Can't comment on parking as we walked there.

My friends and I came to Finch & Fork for their 'Bubbles & Brunch' experience. The entrance to this spot is through the Kimpton Canary Hotel and is not difficult to locate. Surprisingly enough, we had no wait on a Saturday during optimal brunch time. DRINK/FOOD: Bottomless Mimosas - They were HUGE. They came with three juice options: orange, cranberry, and/or grapefruit. In my opinion, the grapefruit juice pairing was the best. You can get buzzed pretty fast off of these. Shashuka (3.5/5) - It was my first time having shashuka, and I think this spot provided a decent overall introduction to the dish. The pinsa bread was delicious, but the default amount you receive is definitely not enough. I found myself eating the tomato sauce by itself, and it felt as if I was just eating spoonfuls of fancy spaghetti sauce. (Could've gotten extra pinsa for $3... but nah.) Breakfast Burrito - My friend had this and stated that it was subpar. Its components did not consist of anything to provide crispy, structural textures, so overall, it felt like she was eating breakfast mush. SERVICE: The service was phenomenal here. Everyone was super attentive, so our waters and mimosas were always refilled super quickly. They also do check up on you quite frequently, but I think that's mainly because we opted for bottomless mimosas. TLDR// I would say this place is better known for its booze and not its bites. Come here to get buzzed accompanied by great service.

We had dinner and lunch here while we stayed at the kimpton and everything was delicious. Service can be a bit slow but it's friendly. The food is on the pricier end as well but they have healthy portions. For food at breakfast we tried the yogurt chia bowl, traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast) and the avocado toast with smoked salmon. The yogurt bowl wasn't overly sweet and I loved all the toppings on it. The avocado toast was huge! They definitely didn't skimp on toppings and the smoked salmon was perfect. Not fishy or too smoky/salty. For dinner we got the mushroom noodles and the confit fried chicken. The noodles were very savory and rich but didn't feel too heavy. The confit fried chicken came with a huge piece of thigh and leg piece. Perfectly fried and the potatoes and broccolini were well cooked. We also got wine with dinner and they let us try some before we committed to glasses.

I would rate this more of a 3.5 stars. We decided to have Sunday brunch here before we left Santa Barbara. My friend put us on their waitlist through their website while heading over. The place was empty when we arrived. Finch & Fork was located in the Kimpton Canary Hotel. It was a very nice hotel. We parked in the parking structure next door to the hotel. We started our brunch with the F&F Deviled eggs. You can order it by two or four. We opted for the 4 since it was three of us. The deviled eggs had pork belly in it. I thought it taste more on the vinegary side but it was good. It was burst with different flavors profile. For my entrée, I decided to order the F&F Eggs Benedict. The Eggs Benedict was okay. I did like the English muffin and the smashed potatoes but the benedict itself was nothing special. I thought everything we ate was very typical and nothing really something I would come back for. I think the chef cooked well, I think they need a new revamp brunch menu to have better options. The service was good. Overall, there are plenty of other brunch places in SB but maybe their lunch or dinner might be better.

Took my mom here for Mother's Day brunch after seeing generally positive reviews online. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the price point at all. First, Finch & Fork is essentially just the restaurant inside the Kimpton Canary Hotel. What I mean is that it's not a restaurant that happens to be inside of hotel property (think Caruso's). It's just where you eat as a hotel guest that is hungry for brunch. We had an 11:00 AM reservation, which I believe was the earliest brunch seating. The hotel lobby was packed and chaotic when we arrived. We checked in and sat down to wait, but while we were waiting, multiple other parties of two who checked in after us were seated first. Not a huge issue on its own, but not a great start. The Mother's Day brunch itself consisted of a buffet plus an entrée selection. The buffet had three main sections: seafood (oysters, shrimp, tuna poke), salads, and miscellaneous bites and desserts like deviled eggs, Italian wedding soup, and macarons. Honestly, the buffet felt more like cocktail hour appetizers at a wedding than a true luxury brunch spread. The entrées were fine. The service was fine. Nothing was bad, but nothing felt memorable or special either. The atmosphere was also extremely loud...noticeably so. What really dropped the rating for me was the value. For two people with no alcohol (just iced tea), the total came out to $264.60. That price was honestly shocking for what was offered. Nothing about the food, service, or atmosphere justified that kind of cost. As we were leaving, we noticed a Photo Booth setup and a bouquet-making station across the lobby. No one had mentioned either of these to us, and the bouquet station appeared unattended, so we weren't even sure whether it was included or an extra charge. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, especially because this was meant to be a special Mother's Day outing for my mom. If you're just looking for a casual hotel brunch/lunch/dinner, it's perfectly fine. But for a holiday brunch at this price point, I expected something much more polished, elevated, and memorable.

Everything I ate here tasted really good but the deviled eggs were exceptional. I really like deviled eggs generally but these were just perfect. The meat on top and the color of the egg made it so good. The restaurant was very nice and had a cozy feel. It is inside the hotel but on a seperate part. The service was nice and the salad I had was really good. The salmon was cooked right and the lettuce was crispy and fresh.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at Finch and Fork and what a treat it was. If you're not staying at the hotel, but looking for an excellent breakfast or brunch location it's very convenient as there is hotel parking. We were unable to park at the hotel lot due to the farmers market, but I think in general it would be a great place if you didn't want to worry about parking. We were delighted to enjoy bottomless mimosas for $28 to augment our brunch. The service was very attentive and all the staff were very friendly. The food came very quickly. As we were there for brunch, we ordered breakfast burritos and I tried the brace beef short ribs over sweet potato hash. Everything was very good and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. I don't know that I would have the short ribs for breakfast again. it seemed more like a lunch or dinner item with eggs . However, it was as described in the menu and it was very good. The restaurant is light and airy and it's a convenient location for walking around State Street before or after you eat. I don't think this is our last trip to Finch and Fork!

The food was excellent!! The Shakshuka was perfectly spiced and absolutely delicious. The Lemon Ricotta pancakes were loaded with flavor and topped with fresh strawberries. Our server was very nice. The atmosphere was quiet and luxurious inside. The prices were definitely on the high side. The location is inside the Kimpton Hotel.

Finch & Fork is the all day restaurant and bar at the Kimpton. The b'ness event I attended had an afta party at the bar to close out the festivities. Prior to the afta party, Ivan was a great bartender! He poured drinks for me on Wed & Thu during my stay. He is super nice & friendly. The bar itself is small, but there are a number of small tables nearby. All in all, a very positive experience vs the mediocre experience at the hotel. I would come just to the bar to have Ivan pour me drinks.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Went there last night with a group of friends and had an amazing time! I'll start with the appetizers. We tried the baked mac and cheese, hamachi crudo, roasted brussels sprouts, and caramelized cauliflower. It was so good, we ended up ordering seconds. For our entrees, we had the salmon, short ribs, scallops, and pork chops. The salmon was cooked perfectly, the short ribs were fork tender, and the pork chops were flavorful. For desert, we had the sticky toffee cake, fire roasted milkshake, and the s'more pot de creme. While I thought the toffee cake was meh, the fire roasted milkshake was ridiculously delicious. There were caramelized bananas at the very bottom and a good amount of graham cracker crumbs mixed in throughout the shake. The pot de creme was AMAZING and a must-try if you like chocolate as much as I do. The best part of the evening was the amazing service we received from Nicole. She's bubbly, helpful, and on top of everything! She was so good, I actually tried to hire her away from the restaurant! ;-) If I were in the Santa Barbara area again, I would definitely go back! read more

I was going to have my going away brunch at State & Fig, however they would not seat us because we only had eight of the ten people in my party present. Fortunately, after a quick three block walk, my friends and I found ourselves seated by the window on a table for ten at finch & fork within minutes. Nicole, our waitress, provided impeccable service and comical wit to match. The food was excellent, the mimosas were on point, and Nicole helped us get all of the ingredients to make the perfect Bloody Mary. We went to the rooftop Sangria Sunday event tonight and were totally blown away by delicious sangria and awesome food. We have not eaten downstairs at Finch & Fork yet, but we will be back for sure. (Sangria Sundays are upstairs on the rooftop.) David (bartending on the roof) and Sous Chef Damien were really nice and their friendly service sold us on coming back again, just as much as the great flavors and quality of food sold us. Damien makes awesome ceviche- we got to try both the halibut and the shrimp. Also, they have both red and white sangria and both are SO good. We also ordered a tomato flatbread- amazing. Yellow heirloom tomatoes, roasted garlic, fresh basil, mozzarella, and housemade bread = delicious food. The atmosphere is amazing of course. And the food and service are quality. You can really tell that the chefs put a lot of thought and care into choosing what goes on their menu, how flavors go together, where they order their meats and seafood from, and how they execute their plates. Just a wonderful experience!!!! read more

We had takeout for our 14 year anniversary using our Access card. The food was amazing! The beef special I ordered, beef ribs in a juicy sauce with mashed potatoes, was excellent and perfectly hot even though we brought it home to eat. My husband's meal was equally delicious. The dessert, however, was stellar. It was art and we almost didn't want to eat it. It looked skimpy, but it was so satisfying and rich and multi-textured and divine that we were transformed into sighing, smiling contented patrons. Wonderful anniversary dinner! read more

Went to Finch & Fork yesterday for breakfast. Despite it being Sunday, and maybe because it was a holiday weekend, we were able to be seated immediately for breakfast. Upon the recommendation of our waiter, I had the shortrib/sweet potato hash. EXCELLENT! My son had the heuvos rancheros and I have seen Oreks vacuum slower. I was momentarily embarrassed of my parenting skills, but happy to see that it was enjoyed with such gusto. My only issue is so minor, I hesitate to bring it up, but I shall so that it can be fixed going forward. The incredibly nice man who sat us brought us juice and coffee. After that--- nobody inquired if I needed a coffee refill. I commandeered the poor busboy, and he went to get my refill immediately. Again, such a minor detail but on a leisurely Sunday, this should be attended to. I would recommend this restaurant whole heartedly! read more

The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. The dishes (we ordered quite a bit between 6 of us), were all delicious and wonderfully presented! The atmosphere was rustic elegance and lively. We had dinner there for my sister's bday on a Friday night and went back for brunch on Sunday (the short rib sweet potato hash was crazy good btw). The staff remembered us from Friday and surprised us with desserts after our meal! So fun! We will for sure be back and recommend to all visiting Santa Barbara. read more

Looking for the best sandwiches you have ever tasted in your life?? Have only visited once- but am already planning my next visit. Both very selective foodies- My best friend of 47 years took me to Santa Barbara for my 50th to see Chef Ina Garten. Yes that was fun- but not as memorable as the lamb sandwich with yogurt and figs. Amaaazing! The chicken sandwich with Gorgonzola and dates- muah!! All on fresh baked breads. Accompanied with matchstick fries. Heaven! Their menu is vast- the desserts look wasting the calories on definitely! .The banana dish looked mouth watering- but we were too full to try. Amazing brunch! I tried all of the mimosa flavors, orange, cranberry, peach and grapefruit. The roasted pork belly and egg blew my mind. The combination of the pork belly, chipotle hollandaise and avocado was amazing. Great service, the staff was friendly and everything came quickly. The lamb burger is absolutely incredible! One of the best burgers in SB. The lavender creme brûlée was also a yummy dish, although a little small. Our server, Jennie May was awesome and they also take Axxess. Overall a great dining experience. read more

We have been there twice and loved the food and ambiance. We sat at the bar each time and the bar tenders were welcoming and provided great service. The prosciutto flatbrat is to die for, I can also recommend the oysters, deviled eggs and oysters. We will definitely come back. read more

Excellent breakfast choice. The French toast was great as well as the chicken sausage. I've had better bacon but the portion size makes up for it. Wow! This place is great! We went for our daughters 9th birthday & they made the evening very special. The food was delicious (most memorable: deviled egg starters, blistered shishito peppers, scallops & 1/2 chicken dinner). Went here for brunch with my mother. Not impressed. Service was good and the restaurant is decorated well, but the food was meh. The hollandaise on the benedict was disappointing, the avocado under ripe (we're in SoCal, no excuses) and the potatoes were grainy. I mean, I ate it and went on with my life, just not interested in coming back. read more

Came in last weekend to grab some breakfast. The food was top notch! I had the hash and it was absolutely awesome! I would've totally given 5 stars, but the service was a little weak. Our server was very bland. She got the orders correct, but never came over to ask how everything was, or if we needed anything else. The guy that was filling up the water was on point for the first 5 minutes. I felt like every time I took a sip he would be refilling me (which was almost too quick). But about halfway through my meal, my water glass was empty... And never got refilled. Either way, I will definitely return if I find myself in the area. The food was 10/10! read more

We threw all $50 worth of baked goods in the trash. Yes, I should have gone back and complained I'm had everything refunded but it was Mother's Day and we didn't want anything more to do with this establishment. We just left the restaurant after having been told that we should try out their banana milkshake for dessert. We had a great meal at Bouchon just up the street which I would highly recommend phenomenal food great touch. Why we left to come here is anybody's guess except it had great yelp reviews and my wife really likes banana milkshakes. We sat down and waited 15 minutes to get served and another 15 minutes to get her milkshake. It was totally melted waited five minutes for the waiter to come by showed it to him and he said oh yeah they were eight on the counter yours must've melted let me get you another one. It was like drinking water. He brought the second one and it wasn't much better we drank an ounce or two of it and left it. when the waiter came by and asked how it was we told him it really wasn't any better than the first he then proceeded to walk off we threw $10 on the table after he bought us our check and left. You would've thought he would've offered another dessert or something since obviously whoever is making the shakes had no idea what they were doing. We had made a reservation for dinner there tomorrow night which of course we canceled after we walked out. I wish I could say this was our only bad experience at a Kimpton hotel or Kimpton restaurant but unfortunately it isn't. Approximately two weeks ago we went to a property in DC showed up at 9:30 at night to be told that they gave away our room asked if they could help us find another room she said sorry just leave if you don't want the accommodations that we can offer. Don't need to go any further except to say kimpton has expanded to quickly and although they have qualified people in certain places they've allowed other employees who shouldn't be near any of their properties to work for them. RUN away from this restaurant as quickly as you can. Just read another comment on yelp about a local three months ago talking about how the banana milkshake had changed it used to be in a mason jar now it's in a small glass cup now and they are blended now as opposed to layering it. His comment was exactly the same as mine don't ever have a dessert at this restaurant go to the ice cream shop across the street glad to see somebody else knows what a good dessert taste like. read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Finch & Fork restaurant yesterday and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. Despite making a last-minute reservation for a party of 10, they were able to accommodate us without any hassle. The hostess was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Now let's talk about the food. It was absolutely outstanding! We started with the Black Garlic Caesar salad, which had the perfect combination of flavors with the little gem lettuce, parmigiano-reggiano, and brioche croutons (grilled chicken was a bonus!). The King Salmon with gigante beans and piquillo peppers was cooked to perfection and the marbled peewee potatoes added a delightful texture to the dish. One of the highlights of the meal was the Short Rib Pappardelle Pasta. The combination of the tender short rib, wild mushroom soffritto, and crème fraîche created a rich and flavorful dish that left us wanting more. And let's not forget about the 12oz Creekstone Prime New York Steak, which was cooked to perfection and served with delicious weiser farms potato, baby carrots, cipollini onion, and a mouthwatering red wine demi-glace. Side dish: Lemon Herb Broccolini was a delightful surprise. The flavors of preserved lemon, calabrian chili, and garlic elevated this side dish to a whole new level. It was truly amazing! To top it all off, Finch & Fork offers free valet parking, which was a huge plus for our group. Overall, I can't recommend Finch & Fork enough. This is a great place, maybe even my favorite restaurant in all of Santa Barbara in terms for service and food. I come here almost every day after Yoga with some of my friends for breakfast, this is seriously the best restaurant you can find in the small city of Santa Barbara. The tourists love it, the locals love it, everything is amazing. I usually start my meals with their juices which are only six dollars, they have the best freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and who could forget a good orange juice? They have some really good fresh fruit smoothies too that I like getting too. They have a nice local honey smoothie and also Greek yogurt one that fill me up for only seven dollars. For breakfast I love to get their Deviled eggs which you can share with friends for only eight dollars as a starter. For my main course my friend and I usually split "The Chop" which sets you back 19 dollars, it comes with smoked salmon, quinoa, amazing avocado of course, and really sweet cilantro dressing. One of my favorites would have to be the "Huevos Rancheros" which sets you back 15 dollars, it has delicious hot crispy tortillas, cotija cheese, laid with salsa and two eggs over easy for the perfect meal after a hard workout. I dined at Finch & Fork for brunch and was blown away by the Short Rib & Sweet Potato Hash. The meat was so tender that it melted in my mouth, and the sweet potatoes were just as soft and sweet. While I wasn't a fan of the brussel sprouts, which I found slightly bitter, the dish as a whole was delicious. I also tried Bailey's Brioche French Toast, and it was well-executed. The sugar-coated walnuts, strawberries, and blueberries that came with it were a perfect complement. The butter, vanilla mascarpone, and maple syrup tied everything together nicely. While the food was great, the service could have been better. Our food came out a bit slowly, and our server wasn't very attentive. Despite this, I still enjoyed the overall experience. Lastly, the restaurant was beautiful - the ambiance and vibes were perfect. I would definitely recommend Finch & Fork to anyone looking for a great brunch in a beautiful setting! read more

Loved the place I can not wait to get back to Santa Barbara to try some different food. My husband and I were there for a special weekend away from the kiddos and I feel compelled to tell you about this restaurant. The place was busy and hopping as we were there on a Saturday night. For the busiest day of the week there was no wait and the food was timely. The place seemed very busy and the atmosphere was enjoyable. We had the Ribeye and Scallops and both dishes were delicious. The scallops literally melted in our mouths. For dessert we had the smores and I did not think it was possible to make smores better, but the salted caramel was fabulous. Finch & Fork is our favorite place to eat in Santa Barbara. The only critique I have is their beer prices could drop a little compared to what's available in the area. Other than that, all of the food is awesome! On the pricey side but well worth it, even the kids PB&J looks great! We normally skip the kids meal and go for the short ribs, best ever. I love the trout as well, the deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts are the way to go for apps. The daily specials are really where it is at! I could eat the Wednesday bouillabaisse or Friday seafood pot pie every week and my lady and her gals love Thursday Pork & Cork. My hubby and i found this place exploring Santa Barbara's streets over the weekend and we stopped in for brunch. Hospitality was off the charts from the host Rene and our waiter Pablo! They both were smiling each time they spoke with us and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Food was great - try their roast pork belly twist on eggs benedict! Amaaaaaazing! Deviled eggs were super yummy, too. I didn't share with my hubby after he got a taste hehehe i liked that they served fresh pressed juice options. This place is A-Okay! We've had our X-mas Party Lunch there twice! First time was better than the second. A couple mistakes with our orders (as it normally happens with a large group) but service was excellent! We had a great time! They validated our parking receipt and we got free parking, which was cool. Second time, service was meh. Our drinks were terrible. Thank goodness it was on the boss' tab. I probably won't be paying for happy hour there. Food choices are alright and they have a reasonably priced lunch menu. It's great that they have healthy options. I would like to start out by saying the server was awesome. Russ was attentive and knew a lot about the menu. I ordered the New York Strip and the Mascarpone Cheesecake for dessert. The food took a while to come out and when it eventually did I thought that it was a little underwhelming. My steaks fat wasn't rendered properly so there was a lot of hard (somewhat inedible) fat remaining on the steak. The rest of the ingredients weren't as warm as they could have been. The dessert arrived and it was excellent apart from a certain flaw. I thought that the base was a little soft. The base should provide a little of resistance when it comes to chopping it. read more

Went here with my girlfriend and had a tremendous experience. It was real busy, the service was great and the food was better. We had the scallops and seabass. The best part is we had the waiter match our food with wine and he was spot on. We started out with some delicious oysters and a beat salad, both were delicious. Love the carrot puree with the beat salad. We topped our meal off with a milkshake and cake that was fabulous, seriously the coffee cake was off the charts. This is hands down the best meal experience I have had in a long time. I ordered off the lounge menu and got the Bacon Burger and the Mac n Cheese. The Mac and Cheese is perfectly cheesy and delicious- has bits of bacon in it. About the size of your hand, but a good starter to share with someone. Next, the burger. Really enjoyed my meal here. I had the some delicious Kusshi oysters and the Ribeye. I was not disappointed at all and I liked that the ribeye was organic. My wife had the sea bass and it was impressive, the sauce was devine. The service was knowledgeable about the local wines so we bought a local bottle of Pino and it was marvelous, I suggest asking for the Stanford if you like drinking the local grapes. Finally we had the Sticky Toffee cake for desert and it was delectable. Can wait to bring my Mom there for mothers day. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in town. I absolutely loved the ambiance. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The dark wood furnishing, warm wall colors, leather seats, wood beams, hardwood floors, and Persian-style area rugs provide a relaxing sophisticated dining atmosphere. Finch and fork has grown to be one of my favorite restaurants. I love to grab a seat at the bar. I usually start with their daily soup, I've had their butternut and the potato leak, very creamy and velvety and that always add something crunch my ontop so there is some texture. Brussels sprouts are great, a little sweet but if you enjoy dishes that aren't as savory this one is for you. Love the salmon and the the short ribs. Had maybe one of the best dinners of all time. The waiter Brett was amazing. He nailed our whole experience. We started with the mac n cheese....and then moved on to the trout and duck...oh my god...I thought I was in heaven. I have never had duck so tender before it was like a filet mignon. To top it all off it was our anniversary, we had a bottle of wine from the SB area was amazing. I think it was the refugio or something like that, but ask the waiters they know. My girls and I go here all the time, I haven't been disappointed yet. We love the milkshakes, the brunch and breakfast food. They also have a kids menu for those of you who are wondering. I don't understand some of the bad reviews this place has received, they have been great on several visits of mine, friendly staff that is tentative, and knowledgeable. Had dinner last night at the bar for the first time @ Finch & Fork. Loved the fried chicken, honestly the best I've ever had!! The chicken was crispy, moist and all the above, pure edible bliss. I had to say I was equally impressed with the mixologist Bruce, hands down the best bartender in S.B. and made my night with his charm and liquid skills. I like the sit down area across from the restaurant. But the main restaurant leaves much to be desired. The Canary is a classy hotel, but the restaurant is not. Firstly, it has now become very expensive. Drinks are expensive, as is the very average food. The hors d'oeuvres of chicken wings was poor. The main meal was just OK. Me and my husband and kids fell in love yesterday morning. We go out for breakfast every Sunday but decided to try something new that none of us have been to.
