The green salad is a bunch of iceberg lettuce and ONE very slim tiny slice of cucumber and ONE small cherry tomatoe. It DOES NOT look like the picture on the menu at all nor is it the desciption. They also sent a sweet potato roll with a bunch of sauce all over it AFTER I literally had called to double check and they said no sauce, that there is no sauce, THEN they do not even call me after the order arrived wrong-- and I am waiting around for an hour for a call. But the lady on the phone said there should not be sauce all over the roll. I PURPOSELY called to make sure no sauce and couble and triple checked and then they sent with sauce. i could not eat. If they do not provide refund I will take this up with credit card company. The delivery person from uber eats was nice. read more

Their sushi deluxe. With ponzu, it came to $41 delivered, which is honestly a great value. Now, I've got mixed feelings here. You're really only getting four types of fish -- salmon, tuna, white tuna, and yellowtail. Roll options are tuna, salmon, or the obligatory sad California roll (I went with salmon). It also comes with miso soup and one of those throwaway salads -- all iceberg with a stray cucumber and tomato. But here's the thing: the fish is fresh (look at the shine on that salmon), and the pieces are big for the price. This is a blue-collar sushi deluxe. It's not glamorous, but it's reliable. If I had to put it another way -- this is the woman you marry because she's steady, safe, and will never blindside you with drama. Not the flashiest, but you know what you're getting every time. Rolls included: Tuna Avocado, Salmon Avocado, Salmon Skin, and Snow Crab Avocado. The Salmon rolls were my favorite but all four were delicious. Each roll came with 6 pieces and they were not shy on the fish and avocado. They also did over use rice, which is a big plus! Nigiri included: Tuna, White Tuna, Salmon, Eel, and Tofu. My favorite was Eel and Salmon. The rice did fall apart using my chopsticks but not a big deal. Lastly, I ordered a Sapporo Light to wash down my sushi, and didn't know it was happy hour price - 1/2 off and only $3! Notes: I had a late lunch and went at 2:30pm on a Friday. I would give it a zero if I could. I just wish they had posted ANYWHERE that they had no more sit down dining (therefore no all you can eat sushi which was why we went there). They also had "pending" as their food safety rating which was not a good sign although they had a TON of DoorDash orders going in and out. Btw I did not eat there because they didn't have dine in so I can't truly recommend/not recommend the food. Our experience at Sushi Para was good! Came in a little after dinnertime on a Friday night and scored the second to last two-top available. The dining room was pretty small, so I'm not surprised if there's usually a wait. We ordered pretty much immediately and chose an array of starters and rolls. The standouts were definitely the ika yaki (grilled squid) and anything with shrimp tempura. A lot of the AYCE menu had options with spicy tuna, which I don't hate, but it didn't leave much room for variety. The only roll I didn't love was the shrimp and mango roll, which had a lot of mango and not much shrimp. Overall good sushi at an unbeatable price. I think we'll be back. read more

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I've been here twice. The sushi was solid both times. The downside is that sashimi and kani salads are not included with AYE. Our sushi came on a sushi boat. Loved the presentation! Service was spectacular. The ambiance is nothing special, but if you sit at one of the tables by the windows, you can take a look at third ave. The restaurant's menu looked good, but the food was subpar and the service was even worse. We sat around for a long time before the *delivery guy* came and took our order. Our server both forgot items we ordered and brought us items we didn't order, all after having to be flagged down several times, even though there were only 2 other parties seated in the entire restaurant. The items we did get didn't taste very fresh and some you could tell were frozen. The takoyaki shouldn't even be called takoyaki. The rolls and sushi were not well put together and easily fell apart. This was my first time coming here and I was happy I came. Living in the area, I pass by here all the time, so I had been wanting to try it out. So we came on Monday night around 7, we had a reservation, but didn't really need it as a lot of tables were open. We came for a b-day dinner so there were 3 of us in total. They actually just recently moved, they were two store fronts down, and they just moved over. Inside was nice, nothing spectacular, but a nice spot - not totally sure why they moved but it is a decent size not huge, probably about 10, 2/4 people tables. For dinner we all did the All You Can Eat (AYCE) which is a great deal at 27$. You can order as much sushi as you would like, as long as you finish it all. Beware, your eye is always bigger than your stomach hahaha. Whatever you don't finish, they charge you $1/piece, so pace yourself, you can always order more. On top of this being AYCE they are also BYOB! So we did that, and their corkage fee was only 3$ which is great. We ordered edamame, pork goyza and shrimp shumai for apps and they were great. (All included in the AYCE). The goyza was the best, really crispy and not an abundance of dough. For sushi, I ordered a couple individual pieces of sushi then had the spicy girl and spicy tuna rolls which were delicious. The sushi tasted fresh and was great. I have heard of AYCE places using not the best sushi, or giving you a ton of rice but this was not the case here - everything was great. Service was very attentive as well. All around a great place for sushi lovers, will definitely be back. read more

My favorite AYCE sushi place is Sake Sushi in Bensonhurst (deep Brooklyn), but it is reeeally far and there's a super long wait. Now that the boyfriend lives right next door to Sushi Para, this is an amazing option. We dropped by on a weeknight with a group of 6 and there was no wait at all. Whoa. This is obviously not gourmet sushi, but this is pretty darn good. There are varied options, there are a lot of fun specialty rolls, the service is good - AND there's a sushi boat if you get a ton of sushi. There isn't any uni like there is at Sake Sushi, but that's alright; I ate my fill and I was very happy. Prices are the lowest I've seen anywhere in Manhattan for AYCE sushi, and I'd definitely come back when I'm feeling lazy and gluttonous. read more

This place has (very rapidly) lost its charm - I've gone back a few times since my first review and it's gotten consistently worse. Last time we went, there were flies in the soy sauce. We flagged down our waitress and asked her for a new one and she was unapologetic and acted like this was nothing new. Disgusting, but hoped this was a one-time occurrence. Accidents happen I guess? This time, we were repeatedly either brought out the wrong food or didn't receive items at all. I can't blame it on communication errors as we mark down what we want on paper menus. At the end of our meal, we were missing a house salad and shrimp shumai and we just decided to let it go. The first roll that came out was completely wrong. Every time we brought something to their attention they were not gracious and acted like they were doing us a favor by bringing us out what we ordered. The absolute WORST part of the whole thing was that, despite being only 3 people and it specifying on the menu that this policy was only for 5 or more people, we were auto-charged an 18 percent tip. I've worked in the restaurant business and I know that servers survive on tips. But service includes graciousness, friendliness, and making up for (MANY) mistakes. To include a tip is an acknowledgement of poor service and displays a sense of entitlement. It is a shady business practice and has only happened to me in situations like this before where the service is so unapologetically bad that they put in a fail-safe in anticipation of poor tipping. We corrected our bill and I tipped, for the first time in my life, less than 10 percent. Will not return again. read more

One of the best sushi spots near me! They have a special for 3 rolls for $17.50. Aside from the 3 special roll, Snow White Roll is delicious and the poke bowl is extremely filling. Also, if you're a spicy mayo person, their spicy mayo has an extra kick. I will definitely be a returning customer here. read more

BE AWARE! This is my 2nd time but will be my last time order from here.  I order totals 9 rolls from the lunch menu for "3 rolls $12.95".  When I got home, and I count the pieces from the 9 rolls that I ordered, does not add up.  I contacted the restaurant right away and text the pictures to "Andy", not sure if he is a manager.  I conferred with him, it does not add up to 9 rolls on the platter.  He admitted that one roll was missing, without apologies.  He did offer an appetizer when I order the next time.  But, I ignored it. Maybe they did missing pieces from the first time I ordered, I should count totals of pieces, before walk out of the restaurant.  I'd learn my lesson, and I will check my order(PIECES) from a NEW restaurant. read more

Seaweed salad (extra. $2) was totally worth it and a huge portion. For rolls we got the spice tuna, spicy girl, shrimp tempura, Sapporo, and sweet potato rolls. I went on the NYC Health Dept website and looked up their rating and, low and behold, they have a C rating. One of the citations? Live cockroaches in the kitchen and other areas. We used to come for the AYCE sushi when it first opened up at this location a few years ago. However we having not been coming here that often anymore. The reason? All of the nigiri sushi have an excessive amount of rice within each piece. This goes for the same with the Ikura pieces. I'm sure that was done to fill you up quicker and less sushi to order. Otherwise, there is a good selection of nigiri and speciality rolls of all different kinds. It does get crowded here on a saturday night so come before 7pm! read more

I give it 3 stars for the AYCE sushi (since my friends enjoy it and this is there go-to spot for a good deal), but only like a 2.5 for the ramen. I have been here a few times and have tried some of the sushi before. Unfortunately, I still don't love sushi (believe me I have tried many times) so I can't comment too much on it. The snow crab roll and the tuna/salmon avocado roll are good here though and I recommend those for sure! My friends get all kinds of rolls with the AYCE and always say they enjoy it. It isn't the most amazing quality, but for $20 during lunch hours you can't really complain about that! As far as the ramen goes, I had it last time and was disappointed. I got the pork ramen with egg. It comes in a small bowl and the broth had a fishy undertone taste which I personally did not care for. Obviously living in NYC there are a lot of places which specialize purely in ramen so I prefer those. I'm guessing most people are ordering sushi when they come here so I can't blame them for not having the most amazing ramen. read more
