What a delightful surprise. Finley's is a beautifully decorated restaurant with vintage chandeliers and unique accents throughout. My friends and I found this quaint location between Stockton and Manteca on S Airport Way. The owner, Deborah was charming & attentive as our host & server. We had a lovely table next to the patio. It was a bit too cool for patio dining, but the lush foliage was gorgeous & in full spring color. Our food was delicious. It was plated well and came in a timely manner. The price is higher end, but worth it! My ladies and I will return.

My husband and I how to fabulous dinner tonight at Finley's Bar and Grill. He had the ribeye steak and I had the shrimp scampi food was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing.Loved all the antiques, and the owner was so fun to talk to. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I went to Finley's tonight and had a wonderful experience. The service was great and food exceptional. My husband had the prime rib and I got the salmon. The prime rib was smoked and had house made horseradish sauce. He topped it off with a Belgian Ale. I had salmon on top of the best buttery mashed potatoes. We were very pleased with the atmosphere, beautiful foliage and service. We will return!

This should easily be a 5 star establishment! Great hospitality, high quality menu with reasonable pricing -- you pay for the quality you're getting! Ambiance is classy, unique and you can tell this place has history in its 30 years or so of existence! The owner is an absolute delight, I really enjoyed this gem I happened to find while passing through the area and will recommend everyone to go treat themselves to a home cooked quality style meal. Drink selection is great, I will definitely make this a must stop when traveling!

The hidden gem of Manteca .... Finley's Bar and Grill! After a late day of golf we ended up driving out for dinner for the first time in all the years we have lived in the valley. We were so very welcomed by Debora Finley who is just the most kindest, lovely and classy lady we have seen. Her drinks were on point and her recommendations on our dinner were spot on. We ordered a good'ol plate of steak and potatoes to which our surprise was served to us by the very own chef and owner Mark! Best steak hands down loaded with mushrooms and garlic After dinner we decided to stick around and hear the story of how this place came about and well almost three hours later we left feeling like we were part of their family. Deb and Mark we can't thank you enough for your hospitality and your kindness. We will pay a visit again as this now is most definitely "our" spot. To all that live in Manteca and surrounding areas....go! Support our local community and this American Hometown Business that deserves to be known

Ask the Community - Finley's Bar & Grill

Is this considered an Irish pub?

    Yes absolutely

Why is Finleys bar and grill still open?

Finley's bar and grill just got placked as an historic site. The oldest bar in the county, amazing food and great beer. Surely to be around another 100 years!

The restaurant is connected to (or at least shares a building with) the casino, so parking can be a little tricky. Most of the lot was full when we arrived, and I ended up parking on the street. Inside, it's really cute. They have a great wine display right when you walk in, a cozy dining area, and a small outdoor patio that looked like a nice spot to sit. Service was good. Nothing over the top, but friendly and exactly what you'd expect. The menu sounded fantastic, which made me really excited. We ordered oysters, lobster bisque, filet mignon, scallop pasta, lobster mac and cheese, and I had an Old Fashioned. The oysters and bisque were both okay, the filet and pasta were decent, but honestly nothing really stood out. The biggest disappointment was the lobster mac and cheese. If you love lobster mac like I do and always order it when it's on the menu, I'd skip this one. It wasn't really mac and cheese at all. The sauce didn't taste cheesy, the presentation wasn't appealing, and it ended up being one of my least favorite versions I've had. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with a good atmosphere, but the food just didn't wow me. If someone invited me back for another celebration, I'd happily go. It just wouldn't be my first choice if I were picking the restaurant myself.

Everyone here was very attentive and friendly! *RESERVATIONS ARE NECESSARY! No walk ups allowed. The 2 dishes that were outstanding to me were: 1. CHEESY SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP. Served in a cast-iron skillet, topped with melted cheese and pico de gallo. Such a delicious starter! I loved the dip with tortilla chips. If you run out of chips or pico de gallo, you can request more at no extra charge. 2. GRILLED ASIAN CHICKEN SALAD. Crisp romaine, cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, scallions, green beans, crunchy wonton strips, and sweet ginger sesame dressing. A fresh vibrant medley of different textures and flavor! This is easily enough for two people to share. They are generous with the portions. One of the best salads I've ever had! Both dishes were so good, my sister and I went there a second time (the next night) during our trip and ordered the same thing!

For example, I ordered the New York strip. It was cooked perfectly, but the quality of the beef was not great. My wife had the same comment about the Steak Frites, although she said her grilled shrimp were delicious. My kids loved it, which counts for a lot after a long day at the water park. My older son enjoyed his grilled Salmon, but I tasted a bite and would again rate it similarly to the beef. Prepared well, but I've had better fish before. The cornbread was super sweet. Way too sugary, could barely taste the corn. Our waitress was friendly and nice. She didn't know the difference between real and creamy horseradish. I had to remind her about the wine I ordered which was sitting in the bar window for a while. Try to get a table inside unless you want to eat withing earshot of a kids dance party in the evening.

An amazing home-y spot for Asian comfort food in Manteca :)…read more For appetizers, we got the bang bang shrimp and spicy wontons and both were delicious. I liked how crispy and sweet yet tangy the bang bang shrimp was. This was probably my favorite item we tried! The chili wontons weren't too spicy and they were really generous with the amount of shrimp inside. Shrimp & wonton noodle soup was def a comfort meal growing up, so I'm happy they had that here! Portion size was very generous and broth was tasty. Noodles were cooked well too, and I liked the filling of the wonton. We also got the curry ramen with katsu chicken. The chicken was sooo crispy, it was one of my favorite items. The bacon kimchi flavor had a nice spicy kick to it. The beef chili oil noodles was tasty and I liked the small beef bits. The bang bang chicken had the same sauce as the bang bang shrimp, but I liked how the entree came with rice too. The philly cheesesteak eggrolls were super crispy, and if you're a cheese lover, you need to try this! Overall, a really solid spot for Asian fusion food, and the servers were all extremely nice and patient as well. Service was really quick!

Our waiter Kyle was on point, introduced himself and dropped the special of the day with gusto. If I hadn't already had a ton of carbs for the day I would have gone with it. Ended up ordering the scallops, and fried zucchini appetizers. Scallops are served almost like a soup. The sauce in the bowl was to die for. I'm thinking white wine, and lemon were the major components. It was phenomenal. Fried zucchini was super tasty and is coming home with us. I'd swear it was enough to feed 4 people. For mains, we ordered pot roast and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Wife loved the pasta and chicken. Surprisingly enough she ate it all, none to go which is super rare for her. Pot roast was fantastic. Mashed potatoes were on point, the mixed vegetables were amazing.
