First time in this restaurant. We had 7 in our party. Loved the service! We had 2 seniors in our party and requested 2 chairs to make it easier for seating (we were in the patio and had benches for seating). Our hostess accommodated our request and made it work for us. There was something for everyone in the menu. We ordered pizza, hamburgers, Cobb salad, ahi sandwich and pizza. The burgers were cooked to our specifications. Our food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time, which was awesome considering that the restaurant was really busy. We were celebrating 3 birthdays and chose from brownies and chocolate chip cookies. Yummy!! I love that the restaurant provides an upscale vibe without high prices. Finney's is a great restaurant for the family, just be prepared to wait to be seated. This is a new establishment in Camarillo, but it is operating well. Service: All staff members are friendly. I loved how they can serve drinks while you wait in the waiting area for your seats. I wish there is something they can serve the kids while they wait. Once seated, our waiter was quick and brought out our meals within 10 minutes or so. Kitchen staff must be very efficient. Ambiance: This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, which is a great fit in Camarillo because the weather is usually nice. They have fire pits and heat lamps for the outdoor area. The indoor seating is consisted of low and high top tables. Be sure to let the host staff if you need a low top table if your kids need it. Our kids sat at the high top tables without any issues. Food: Finney's food is good! The sandwiches were all solid and fresh, the kids meals were both good and they were offered different sides if they didn't want fries. The star of the meal was the Crispy Coconut Shrimp appetizer. I've been to Kauai many times and Finney's shrimp reminded me of the Shrimp Station in Waimea. The shrimps were big and cooked very well. Definitely recommend it. In summary, we are glad to see the Camarillo Outlets open another quality restaurant. First time here, and I like it. Came for the happy hour... and it didn't disappoint. Here's what we got off the happy hour menu. Finney's maple brown ale. $5 (6.7% with notes of caramel, chocolate malt, and coffee) Topa topa tux $5 (5.5% a nitro milk stout, dark and creamy with notes of chocolate, glazed donut and vanilla bean) Buffalo cauliflower. $9 The garlic aioli was perfect. It was something you didn't know you needed, but now I can't fathom it without it. The pepperoni pizza. $8 It's a flat bread style. They use the cup style pepperoni, and they aren't chintzy with it. (Blot it with a paper napkin to get that pepperoni grease off it... it's a must) Overall, the taste was very, very good. The texture was perfect. Then there was the chicken and waffle. $7 I was a bit disappointed in this one. Whereas the chicken was perfectly done, the size of the waffle bite was underwhelming. With the maple butter and syrup, the tiny waffle piece was soggy in minutes. The waffle pieces shouldn't be lost in the bite. Towards the end, it tasted like I was just eating chicken. Also, the description said Sriracha maple butter...I didn't taste any heat to this at all... nor the flavor of Sriracha. So it must be a very mild pairing. The final scoring is BOTH beers...10/10 Pizza... 9/10 (a bit too greasy) Chicken & waffle 6/10 (the 6 is for the chicken..... it was delicious and well prepared... but it really needed more substantial pieces of waffle) SERVICE 10/10 Our server (Marcus) was very attentive. We were there for the tail end of happy hour and he was very efficient in getting our order in quickly and then asked us about 5 minutes before happy hour ended if we wanted to add any more happy hour items before 5pm hit. You can't go wrong with Finney's. This is one of their many locations. A variety of different food options for every preference, and this is a great location when you've been shopping , or before heading to the movies. It does get busy here often, even during weeknights as it's popular, so keep that in mind, but you won't regret it. You will find something for the pickiest people. If you don't like waiting, you can try to get a seat at the bar/high tops, which often opens up. They have a great selection of appetizers such as the tuna poke tacos (very tasty and fresh, but a small portion) carnitas nachos (very generous, good amount of meat and love the hot chilis they come with), and lots of other choices including vegan options, if that's your thing. For the entrees, I've had the Moroccan and bbq ranch salad, both great choices, and helping stick to your diet with all of the other temptations, but kind of small in size and sometimes slathered in dressing - so ask for it on the side. I've had the fish tacos, which are extremely fresh and crispy and would highly recommend. Have had the bison burger, and both my husband and I love it. He has ordered it on repeat and even for take away. It's very tasty, juicy, and bison is actually quite good and lean. They have amazing and crispy sweet potato fries with a spicy aioli, that is worth the upgrade. I have also had the fried chicken sandwich, which a little disappointing, honestly. While the chicken was crispy and tender, it was lacking in flavour and the portion was small. Would much rather order something else. You can't close without talking about the insane beer selection. Whether you're a fan of ipas, stouts, pilsners, something sour and a little hoppy, the selection is amazing. If you sit at the bar, it's a great place to be and right where the taps are. I love all kinds of beer, and since I can't make up my mind, I have had a beer flight on more than one occasion. They're generous with the samplers and I believe you can pick 4 different kinds. I'd recommend trying to find something that goes with what you're ordering for food. If beer isn't your thing, they have wine and a good selection of cocktails. The service is okay. Sometimes, the food comes out a little cold, but nothing is perfect. I can say that even the handful of times we've been to this Finney's, the food has never taken a very long time to come out. It's one of the best spots in town, in my opinion, it's always happening, parking is ample, and you don't need to enter deep in the throws of shopping temptations of the outlets to get there - it's on the outside close to the Cracker Barrel. I love Finney's and for me, the food quality, variety, and taste far exceeds most similar bar/pub type places. It is kid friendly, you can have dogs out on the patio, but can get busy and loud, so just keep that in mind. read more

*New spot at the Camarillo Outlets * 2023* I had been waiting to stop here since it opened a few weeks ago. Since newly opened or maybe because it's Finney's, there was a long wait to get in. I mean it was a Sunday at the Cam outlets, so not surprised. It's a bit loud in there because it's so packed. The tables are way too close for my liking. I couldn't have a convo with my friend . As I left I bump the table next to us with my bum. I guess i have a big bum but the tables are way way too close together. I get they're trying to fit as many people possible but not the best dining experience. Customer service was ok. My nachos were so good ! A bit salty but I remedied that with a kombucha! We typically wouldn't wait, but my kids had fun playing corn hole and ping pong outside. We sat where it was impossible to hear a single word from anyone at our table. Also, when we unrolled our napkin, the utensils were DISGUSTING. See my image. I get they were super busy, but appropriate sanitation comes first. Cesar, though he was running non-stop, never made us feel uncomfortable for needing him for anything. The food was good, nothing out of the ordinary for bar food. Everyone ate everything they ordered, always a good sign. Their kids' options are nicely sized. The prices are agreeable, which you don't find as often anymore. We celebrated a birthday with brunch at Finney's. They have a free dessert for the celebrant, a warm chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. It's the perfect end to a great meal. We started with the loaded tots which had plenty of toppings but I wish there were more tots. We had the Cobb salad, impossible burger, grilled fish tacos, pastrami sandwich and grilled cheese with tomato soup. All nicely flavored! Service was friendly and attentive. We had to wait 20min right when they opened as there was already a line of hungry guests even before they opened. There's plenty of seating options and it was cool we got seated in a nice U booth. We have tried to give this place a great try since it is a local restaurant. Food is overpriced and poor quality. Wife had fish tacos that were too fishy to even eat. Good fish is never "fishy". Waitress spoke with manage and said they do not take food off bill for any reason even poor quality. Burgers range from $14-18. These burgers are small and come without sides. We paid $9 dollars for a super small basket of fried pickles. After telling the server about our concerns she never even came back to table. AVOID this place!!! New bar and restaurant next to the Camarillo outlets. Very spacious and nicely decorated. Good selection of local craft beers and mixed drinks. I had the guava margarita. Didn't taste much like guava. I also had the Finney burger. It's a regular burger with pickled onions, lettuce, tomato and white cheddar cheese. French fries are extra. We also had the barbecue flat bread pizza. The crust was extra crunchy and the bbq sauce was zesty. Yum yum. The service is very good. We were offered drinks while we waited for our table. We ordered two beers two burgers an appetizer and 3 kids meals and the total was just under $100. That's honestly not horrible these days. The service was excellent. It was St. Patrick's Day and very busy. Everyone's food was great except for mine. I ordered the bbq bacon cheeseburger and when my food came, the fries and my burger were cold. The cheese wasn't even really melted. Fortunately, the manager was very nice and took it back for me. She had the whole order remade and when I got it back, I have to it was one of the best burgers I've ever had! Stopped in during a busy day at the outlets, you know the Christmas shopping type of day where you do hot laps for a while to find parking and decided dinner at a new Finneys location was called for. The location is awesome and we got a perfect spot on the patio with a nice view of the Christmas tree on the background, sports on the TVs and heaters to keep everyone warm and cozy! We've been to multiple finneys and the newest location carries on the same quality service and food! I ordered one of my favorites Peggy's fried chicken sandwich and it was crispy and deliciously moist. Hands down my favorite thing to eat at Finneys is the crispy tots and the special ketchup!! Finney's has a large selection of beer-which I like. The place is always busy, so it is popular. There really isn't an ambiance to speak of. A group of us went. Seth the waiter was very rude. Did not speak to us in a pleasant way-Just very condescending while he ranted about the rules. Obviously he didn't like the rules he had to follow. He didn't like giving us separate checks and was vocal about his displeasure. Even though the group organizer called in advance and was told we could have separate checks. Had a good experience at this location. Came in with a friend before going to the outlets. Started off with the buffalo sliders which the server recommended and also had the salad wraps which were yummy also. Stopped by for lunch of a Saturday afternoon. We're were quickly seated. The waitress was very attentive and sweet. Dining out with kids can be a headache but she made sure the kiddos had entertainment. We ordered the carnitas nachos and let me just say do not pass these up!! The margarita flight is a must try with the beautiful colors and presentation. The carnitas nachos were great and we really liked the Brussels sprouts. Great selection of beers on tap as well. We were seated immediately by a sweet hostess with efficiency. Our waitress came up quickly, answered questions regarding drinks, offered suggestions and took a couple of appetizer orders. Food was ready pretty quick. Sports were on the TV's. Bartenders were busy. We ordered Coconut Shrimp (6) & Cheesesteak Egg rolls (8) Absolutely delicious and actually filled us up. Good portions, appropriate pricing. I think the largest shrimp I've ever seen. The vibe was busy bar but very comfortable. Every worker from the hostess to wait staff to people bussing tables was moving swiftly. I could see into the kitchen from my table and it was running like a well oiled machine. Even though everyone was hustling, when they got to your table, they were patient and courteous. There was no rush, no feeling of turning tables, just friendly checking on you service. Strictly based on takeout: their take out policy is insane. No delivery and they only do takeout weekdays between 1100 and 1700. I decide to order my lunch from them today. I tried to order online, and was told to order online I would be taken to another screen. The new screen told me I was temporarily banned from site--that I hadn't ever used. I closed out my browser and tried again and orders successfully. Finished up my work and the office to pick up food. About to turn into the outlets to pick up my order, about 15 minutes after ordering and received a text: " your order has been canceled and refunded. Sorry the restaurant can't make your order today." Now my lunch break is nearly over. Luckily, there are plenty of other places at the outlets that I could order lunch from however, I was a little late getting back to my office due to the fact that I had to wait for a new restaurant to make my food since this restaurant took so long to cancel my order for no reason. Downgraded to two stars because they clearly haven't addressed any of the staffing issues (or are not interested in improving). 15-30 minute wait for an outside table, when there are 14 (I counted) empty tables outside, Only rationale was "to give the server some extra time". I can literally put my name on the wait list when I leave my house, and then get here to find out there's still a wait. It's just so disorganized and always starts the meal off in a sour note. Can't order at the bar and just grab a table either. Should just turn the iPads into order takers (see tarantula hill) and just have food runners. Honestly the logistics of getting table are so awkward it just ruins the experience. Maybe when some other competition finally gets going (Texas roadhouse etc) they will get their act together. Then I see one of the girls enter my food in and then turn around and tell me it'll be seven minutes and that we 911'd it. 30 minutes later I get my food without an apology or anything offering to make it better other than just handing me the food that I ordered an hour earlier.I expect better. The atmosphere was pretty nice. Menu was easy to navigate and the food was a solid 8/10. The service however was awful. Unfortunately, my server was non existent only took my order and checked in after I finished my food. Never came back to see if I needed anything. Hopefully service is better for whoever is reading this because it can be a 4-5star place. Poor service and good food usually still 3 stars. We really like going to Finney's but today I went and they've removed the Poke Nachos from the menu which is definitely a menu item we look forward to and definitely order every time. Ordered the poke tacos since the waitress told me they could not make the poke nachos.. even though it appears they still have the ingredients to make them. Poke tacos were sad and the avocado in them was brown as if it had been sitting around all day. Probably won't be coming back nearly as often now. read more
