I don't understand why the reviews are so high, the food was ok, I ordered the Cajun wings, it not enough seasoning and I've had better. The service was awful as our server hardly came to our table. My bill came to 62$ for just myself. Which was not in my price range, to be fair I did order some alcoholic drinks, which can add up, but 62$ dollars is crazy work. Also we asked if they can turn off the heaters and the server said no even though it wasn't even cold outside. The ambience is ok, that's really what you're paying for is the vibe. Shoutout to the food runner, she gave us more service than our actual waiter, I don't recommend unless if you're getting drinks maybe as they're reasonably priced. read more

I live and work in Old Towne Orange, and Finney's has been a family favorite since it opened. We brought family friends this evening for dinner who hadn't been. Tonight, my child accidentally spilled her meal, and our server kindly told us it was no problem and replaced it - the level of customer service that has set Finney's aside from a few less family-friendly establishments around. At the end of our meal I started to pay on the tablet and noticed we were charged twice the $14 for my kid's meal. I called our server and asked if this was meant to be the case, that I was under the impression she had replaced it for us. I was told the manager told our server she was not allowed to give us a replacement for free because it was "your kid's fault," that there was nothing else she could do, and she walked away. The adults at the table were dumbfounded. For the price of a small portion of pasta and chicken I will no longer be recommending Finney's as a family friendly restaurant or be taking out several time a week. read more

One of my coworkers coincidentally read my review of this place and visited with his wife. They enjoyed the food that I recommend on the review and had a great time that he took me back for my birthday last week. That showed me how amazing this restaurant is. When I came to this location for the second time, it was exactly how I remembered - excellent customer service, scrumptious drinks and food, and hipster vibe. I ordered blueberry lemonade and it was refreshing with right amount of tang. The blueberry aroma was very pleasant. For the starter, we ordered Carnitas nachos and loaded tater tots and both of them were home runs. I tried chicken nachos before and I feel like they are guru on nachos because they absolutely nailed it. I should've tried other sandwiches/burgers but their famous Peggy's Crispy Chicken still makes my mouth watery so I ended up with that like before and I didn't regret it. In the mood for lunch and antique shopping, we headed to Orange and spotted Finney's. A lively spot with indoor and outdoor seating. It was about a 15-20 min wait on a Sunday and we were told that their system was down and it was cash only. Once seated, our waitress arrived and was helpful in our appetizer choices. We went a little crazy and ordered four appetizers to share. We tried the Truffle and Mushroom Flatbread, topped with Arugula. Pretty tasty, this was my favorite. The tequitos come with four to an order, which are cut in half. Loved the tri tip inside and the side salsa and sauce. The carnitas nachos portion wise are enough for more than two people. The peppers on the nachos initially appeared to be bellpeppers. However, after one bite, they were pretty spicy and I loved it. Against the servers opinion, we ordered the Lobster rolls. The Citrus Aioli was not our favorite. The server was kind enough to remove it from our bill. Great customer service and a fun vibe. absolutely love this place! I've been here so many times and I have loved it every single time. it's casual and cool and definitely a great vibe. I come here for the drinks and the appetizers because on the app menu is so good. I feel like I've had half of their appetizer selections so here's a list of my favorites: bacon deviled eggs, mini lobster rolls, chicken and waffle bites, and the mini ahi poke tacos! if I can only use just one, it would definitely be the chicken and waffle bites! Obviously, don't forget to order the margarita flight! truly, my only con to this place (and the reason for only four stars) is the fact that they don't take reservations. But my shrimp appetizer and our salads I wasn't impressed with. The shrimp just didn't taste fresh. My salad was pretty small to be $16. I bet they probably have good alcoholic drinks. We were afraid we'd have to wait long for a table, but to our surprised we were seated with in 10 mins. The drink menu has a variety of options. We started off with mini ahi poke tacos and a watermelon margarita. Then worked our way to the Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders! These sliders were so good, I highly recommend them. You have the option to pay your bill through their tablet system placed on the table. Super convenient and easy to use. They also have an outdoor seating area with games, tv and fire pits. My husband and I met up with some friends at finney's for a late lunch. It was the perfect outdoor area since they brought their dog to hang out!!! The food was delicious! I got Peggy's crispy chicken - the chicken was perfectly crunchy and not dry. The sandwich itself did not have much spice but the sauce on the side added the needed kick. The slaw added a fresh element to cut the greasiness of the chicken. My husband ordered the jalapeño egg burger which he enjoyed a lot! We ordered one large side of truffle fries but to be honest I wouldn't bother and would just go with regular fries or tots. I honestly didn't get any flavor of truffle - mostly just Parmesan. We met family at Finney's for dinner, as we had been wanting to try it. We were able to arrive early to get a table as the place gets packed. Our server was awesome. We started with two drinks before Happy Hour ended at 5 pm. We ordered drinks for the others and she delivered them just after 5 for the Happy Hour prices too. The guava margarita is delicious and the beer selection is massive, how does one choose? We started with the tots, good thing the order that comes on the Happy Hour menu were small for the two of us, we would have devoured an entire platter. Crispy tots topped with cheese, aioli and peppers, Yum! For dinner we all had a variety of dishes. I had the Cauliflower Tacos, served with chips and salsa. The cauliflower was crispy and tender on the inside, served with a spicy sauce in homemade tortillas. Mr. B had Peggy's Chicken Sandwich, spicy! But the chicken was crispy and the sandwich full of bold flavors. Another one in our party had the fish tacos and loved them. The last person with us had the Pastrami Reuben and devoured every bite. Finney's is one of the great places in downtown Orange. Can't wait to go back. Parking in downtown Orange can be tricky, but find a spot and make your way to Finney's, it is well worth it. read more

I went here for happy hour with a colleague and really enjoyed it! The drink selection is so large, there are so many options. We sat down in a booth and the restaurant/bar wasn't too busy; lots of screens to watch games and lots of seating. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share: the buffalo cauliflower with yuzu sauce, the avocado egg rolls and the steak taquitos. Everything arrived quickly and our server was very courteous. It's also super to easy to pay -- there's a screen on the table that you can pay your tab through. Pretty cool! read more

The bartender on Thursday 04/24/26 around 5pm was horrible. Took her 5 minutes to acknowledge us and when she did she gave us menus and never came back. Her and other workers were in corner or bar just chatting away not paying attention to other patrons. It's sad as we like coming here. If we see her again we will walkout. read more

Decided to try this place out and loved it! It's super nice inside, lots of seating and there's an outdoor area which is nice on summer nights like these. I got their blueberry lemonade which was AMAZING!!! First, this great spot in Orange is dog friendly. They have an awesome outdoor area with umbrellas, benches and tables. The burgers were delicious! I would get the Wagyu burger. It's juicy, tender, and generous size for $16. The tots and garlic fries were super flavorful. The tri tip taquitos had good flavor, but the meat was mushy and did not have a steak texture that I was expecting. Friendly efficient staff was a plus. Finney's Crafthouse is located in Old Towne Orange. This is a completely walkable area that caters to pedestrians, giving off small town vibes. The area is incredibly busy and has something for everyone with various interests (eg. biking, antiquing, bar hopping, and much more). Finney's Crafthouse is incredibly busy. With so many restaurants in the area, we were curious as to why so many people chose this spot. With our interests peaked, we decided to walk in and try this place out for ourselves. When you enter the restaurant, you immediately notice an upbeat vibe. To the right is a small area where you can wait to be seated. Throughout the restaurant, you'll notice that the booths and tables are close to one another. The interior reminded me of restaurants and lofts that you'd find in Chicago. The vibe is super laid back! The menu has a lot of typical bar food. We started out by ordering a large soft pretzel. We thought that it was going to be dried out and hard. However, it was freshly baked and you could taste the generous amount of butter that was spread across the top layer of the pretzel. The perfect amount of salt was sprinkled on top of the pretzel and it was so soft that it melted like butter after each bite. I seriously love baked pretzels and this was by far, the best one that I've had. When it came to ordering my meal, I kept it super simple by ordering an Impossible Burger (no meat) with a Caesar's Salad. The impossible was seasoned with salt and mimicked the flavor of a traditional burger. I haven't had red meat in over 20 years, but this one tasted like they actually tried to give it some flavor instead of just placing it on the grill. I was pleasantly surprised with Finney's Crafthouse. We ended up here because the restaurant that we intended to go to was closed. We didn't know much about Finney's, so this was a great alternative to just heading out of the area to find somewhere else to eat at. We have plans to return for another dinner date at Finney's in the near future! read more

First time visiting and we had a great time. The wait was only 15 minutes in a Saturday early evening so we browsed the antique store next door until they texted our table was ready. Great service, nice selection of IPAs and other beers and cocktails. The apps were all delicious and the burgers were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Located on a busy corner at the edge of the Orange Circle with an extremely deep dining room and adjacent outside patio, we came during a busy lunch hour where there were still residual holiday visitors. The parking garage 2 blocks away guarantees a spot rather than circle the surrounds for street parking or the limited spaces at the closer lot. It was mix of contactless and human worker interaction that felt disjointed, and left me wondering how management keeps track of diners' actions and movement! Our server came equipped with a tablet to punch in our orders, refilled ice teas and waters when he happened to walk by, but that was the extent of our interaction. A diff worker brought out our food and drinks. A manager came to ask if we needed anything else as we were winding down. A busser took our empty plates and glasses. Then here's the peculiar kicker. I've paid our bill from the tableside contraption before at other restaurants (this one even had $3 games that get added to the final bill) but I always had the server return at some point to say parting words or at least a goodbye. We looked at one another after I paid, finished our waters and 2nd tea...then I remarked,"I feel like I'm dining and dashing, but my 20% tip will most likely be pooled and shared by all." We waited a bit longer, then proceeded to slowly walk out, half expecting the manager to flag us down if they didn't match up the receipt to the table to our faces.
