I've been here a few times and it's always good! It's very much a modern style dine in restaurant with a great selection on their menu and have great drinks. I don't have much to say, it's good, reliable, and fine service. The only thing I'd say, is if you want to go out, but don't know what to have, this place is good. They don't specialize in anything from what I know, but are pretty good in most of what they do. I love going and just knowing I'll see something, like it, and be happy. I had the Bison Burger and truffle fries; they were great only wish they were more generous with the aged cheese. I was not disappointed with the malt beer ordered two different types and enjoyed it a lot. Service was excellent had a lot of questions since it was my first time and all answered confidently with suggestions. WOW!!!! We were giving this spot a try off the reviews Yelp friend, Bruce H., has posted. Mind blown! Not only was the food very tasty, but the HH offerings (M-F from 3p-5p) weren't bad, the spot is warm and neighborhood cozy, drinks were delicious, and the service first rate! We thought we would be fine walking in for HH on a Friday at 4:10, when HH ended at 5 - PLENTY OF TIME, but no. The wait time was 30-40 minutes! There are other restaurants in the area where we can walk right in at 4:15 on a Friday because most people don't arrive until 5 or 6. The fact that we had a wait, at a restaurant filled with staff rushing about, is a testament that this is a well run, popular spot. Our name was taken by hostess, Samantha, who then engaged with us and others waiting, until we were seated by her. Is engaging with your customers THAT BIG of a deal? No, but I can't remember the last time a hostess didn't just tell us we would receive a text or "buzzer alert" when our table was ready, then shifted uncomfortably about, not wanting to make eye contact, with patrons while they waited. So kudos for hiring an engaged young lady at front of house, Finney's! Samantha then turned us over to the capable hands of Camryn(sp?). Another delightful young lady, happy to explain anything on the menu and attentive to our multiple orders, which were staggered as we kept thinking of other dishes to try. lol Camryn also gave us a heads up for last call on HH, which was another first for me. Most servers rely on diners to know that, and don't miss a chance to charge the same drink at the full price even a minute after HH ends. So we appreciated that Cam made the rounds of her diners to get those orders in. Ok, so for the food: we took advantage of the flat bread pepperoni pizza - it was HUUUGE for $7 during HH! It was also all for Hubby. I was ordering the Cobb salad off the regular menu, but after seeing the smash burger run past several times, I couldn't resist adding the HH Mini Finney Sliders to the order - WOW!!! I don't know if it's just that I haven't indulged in a burger in over a year, but those little suckers were fanTAStic! Beef, cheese, pickle, grilled onions and NOM NOM delicious! 3 for $8 @ HH. I just may opt in on a full size burger from Finney's sooner than I'd like to admit! The California Cobb was very good. For $14 it was fresh, flavorful, filled with all the yumminess I wanted and satisfying. The guava Margarita packed a decent punch and was refreshing. $9 during HH. Hubby got a $6 HH well rum and Coke which he said was perfect. Of note, also offered at HH is the $15 Combo: choice of Finney Burger or Peggy's Crispy Chicken sandwich, fries and choice of beer or soda. Off the regular menu, I saw each was served with fries already. So the difference being Peggy's Chicken at @$13 , or Finney Burger @ $12, and soda being $3, this is really a deal if you're going for the beer and not the soda, as beers are in the $7/$8 range. Just a little FYI for burger and beer lovers. During our meal, another delightful staffer popped by to see if we were enjoying everything or needed anything more. I believe she was management, since her shirt was button up and different from the black Ts and pants worn by servers and hostesses. Nice to be looked after, thanks! When we were done, Cam showed us how the option for paying at the table worked, so we used the device set right there. As we were walking out, we were spotted by Samantha, who asked how we enjoyed our first experience with Finney's I said, 'Great! I signed up for emails and we will definitely be back!' I've been a loyal customer for a while, but my recent visit to Finney's was extremely disappointing. It's clear they've cut back on their happy hour menu, and unfortunately, the quality has dropped as well. The carnitas nachos were dry and lacked flavor--there was no salsa or sauce to bring the dish together, making it nearly inedible. The chicken and waffles were just as underwhelming: the chicken was overcooked and tough, while the waffles were soggy and lifeless. To make matters worse, the service was nearly nonexistent. Our waitress was kind, but she never came by to check on us. Our water glasses and drinks sat empty for most of the meal, and not once did anyone ask if we needed anything. I considered speaking to a manager, but ultimately decided it wasn't worth the effort. I understand it was busy, but I've seen it busier--and that's no excuse for such a lack of attention and care. With money tight these days, every dining experience matters, and this one left me feeling like I wasted both my time and money. For now, I'll be taking a break from Finney's. I'd rather stay home than pay for subpar food and poor service. I forgot to mention, I believe they are using dirty oil when they're frying or forgetting the time limit because everything that was coming through was overcooked that I could see read more

We had a very "Happy Hour" at Finneys yesterday. The service was amazing. Melissa took great care of us. The food we ordered from the Happy Hour menu was delicious. We had Ahi Tacos , mini burgers, deviled eggs and the Bavarian pretzel. The margaritas were also fabulous! We went during the dodgers playoffs. It was very busy. We had to wait awhile. I come very often to Finney's but rarely on a Thursday unless there's a Dodgers game or NFL game. For a Thursday, the crowd was decent and we were able to get a both with only having to wait around 5-10 minutes. You cannot go wrong with the loaded tater tots and the Yuzu buffalo bone in wings. I also tried the A5 Wagyu burger medium well for the first time and it was really tasty. I also opted for trying a couple of cocktails instead of my usual beer and they did not disappoint. The watermelon margarita with Tajín rim was my favorite. I also tried the strawberry lemon drop that was more sour but perfectly paired with the sugar rim. Heard so much about this place and I finally made my way over here. It was crowded and the wait time was about 45 minutes at 5:00 pm. Crazy, right?! But it was a Friday and a holiday weekend, so no problem. Good news, it turned out to only be 30 minutes:) We were seated outside by the fire pit area. Perfect for us. Finney's looked new and exciting and we were ready to try! Went on a Thursday and took 45mins to get seated due to the laker game but I must say the girl at the front I think Ashley, was super nice!!! Finally got in and decided to order the onion ring tower which looked Amazing but was honestly ok. Not as crunchy and had a weird filling in the inside of the last one... We also had the poke nachos (careful as that wasabi Mayo can really get to you) but we both loved though different than yardhouse but still good. Our daughters had the truffle mushroom flatbread which they liked and we thought was ok. I ordered the truffle burger with truffle fries which I was highly looking forward to but unfortunately did not meet expectations. Did not taste the truffle flavor and they had a very dried overly fried piece of what I later found out to be shiitake mushroom. It was not good at all! The waitress came by to ask how everything was and I was honest and told her and she said "oh sorry, but everything else is ok? And do you want a box?" I just smiled and said no and we were ok. First time at Finneys and we all liked it. Ambiance was good - this location is not huge, they have regular seating then a large bar area. It's in a busy plaza next to the movie theater - so you may want to be mindful of hanging out too long - there may be other patrons waiting. When we got to our table there was a tablet looking apparatus and I thought that may be how we had to order, luckily it was just for payment unless you were paying by cash. I frankly dislike this system I realize it probably makes it easier for the staff but I worry they will start using it for orders like some other places - hopefully not Our waitress was great and kept our soft drinks topped off which is always appreciated We started with the deviled eggs which were tasty- loved the trick of putting some of the filling underneath to keep them from sliding. Our party tried the ruben, truffle burger and smash burger. Everyone liked their food- I had the Ruben it was great - pastrami was very tasty and bread toasted nicely sauerkraut on the side meant no soggy bread which I greatly appreciated. I added tots (additional charge) they were tasty but not as crispy as I prefer. Stole a sweet potato fry off one of my companions and I liked it better. I like that sides are not included that way you can get what you want or nothing at all. Ruben came with chips that were made in house and I would just stick to those - burgers did not come with chips. I've been meaning to check out Finneys for awhile now (especially their first location) and they've since expanded to a quite a few locations - you can find them in Westlake, Ventura, Santa Barbara and more. This is their newer location at The Vineyards and it has a good vibe. The interior is modern in design, look and feel. It has all the features of a casual, cool, fun dining experience. It's pretty good sized with inside and outside seating. The inside features a bar, some high-tops with stools, and some partial and full booth seating. Outside are some tables with some heat lamps. There are some TV's throughout as well. The menu food wise features various starters (bacon deviled eggs, carnitas nachos, Bavarian pretzel, crispy brussels and much more), pizzas, tacos, hot wings, salads, sandwiches and burgers. Drinks wise they feature craft beers, craft cocktails, wines, craft shooters, fountain and other drinks - sodas, lemonades, iced teas, waters etc. What I really LOVE is the craft beers choices - they are all from CA (From Agoura and Porter Ranch to Moorpark, Westlake, San Diego and more) and the same goes with the wines. I'm looking forward to trying some more of the craft beers. On this first experience, Justin took care of us as did some others who were helpful and kind. Service was definitely friendly and efficient. Food/drinks came out timely. Parking is abundant at The Vineyards, just prepare to walk a little if there is no parking close by. The grounds are very nice though at The Vineyards. --What was ordered- Finney's Irish Red (5.5%) - Porter Ranch, CA - A beautiful red larger with an amber color, rich caramel malt flavor 17oz Mini Lobster Rolls - Tabasco citrus aioli, Hawaiian bun - 3 mini "rolls" (they are on a Hawaiian bun versus a traditional roll, but overall I would never again order this. Although I could taste the lobster, the way this was done comes very close in flavor to a tuna salad. Pizza - Sausage & Garlic - Garlic parmesan, four cheese blend, fennel sausage, red onions - Good but nothing different from the ordinary, I wanted to love this flatbread but just liked instead. The flatbread was nicely cooked, the sausage was plenty (didn't taste the fennel really) and the cheese was abundant. (Traditional) Yuzu Buffalo - Medium spiced house favorite. This last time I got the jalapeño egg burger (subbed with turkey patty) and it's incredible. We visited Finney's for the first time (any location) on Sunday, May 5th right after opening time at 11am with a party of six. First of all, I wanted to point out that the service was excellent. Our server and the entire staff was friendly, fast and efficient. The manager also was clearly out and about making sure everyone was taken care of. I had the A5 Waygu Burger, which I thought was delicious; however, for the price I would assume the burger would have been a bit bigger. Cooked, it was only slightly larger than the size of a basic cheeseburger at McDonald's. I'm not sure if this is normal or just a fluke; however, that needs to be remedied for the $16 price point. I did order a side of onion rings, which were crispy and delicious with the smokey BBQ Sauce and ranch. Finney's is a great time for a sports game outing or a finger food great time. It's comparable to yard house but offers more craft drinks (hence the name). I came last Thursday for a family outing and we sat in the back patio (equipped with a heater if need be). There is a bit of a wait prior to being seated but time does go by, and you can hang out by the bar until your table is ready. My table of 5 ordered the following to share - Buffalo cauliflower - 10/10 (everything about this appetizer is incredible) a must. Buffalo wings - 9/10 (great and flavorful) Crispy coconut shrimp - 8/10 good, flavorful, but nothing outstanding. Good to share though. Moroccan salad - 7/10 a lot of flavor and ingredients, yet the dressing wasn't compatible. Hadn't been able to make it here because the wait times were always ridiculously long but 30 minutes was worth it. My friend brought me here for my birthday. Overall it's a cool place, feels a little crammed but I get it because they need all of the seating as possible in the space. Food was good overall. The wagyu burger was just ok, the onions rings were good. The spicy burger was the best dish of the day, was so much better than the other burger and it's the item that I would come back for. Best service I ever had. We've been there multiple times and I took my boys last night and we had the type of service you hope for. Melissa was our waitress and checked on us often enough that if something we needed occurred to us she just appeared. When my son finished his sprite and asked for another she appeared right behind him with another. She even asked our names. The rest of the staff helped to bringing us things so that we never felt we had to wait more than expected. We felt like V.I.P.'s the whole time. Melissa had the whole big patio area with seven or eight tables but managed it like an air traffic controller. Luckily the restaurant I work at decided to close early on the 4 of July so I was able to take my wife to dinner and a movie. I have to say that I am disappointed with my visit. Not with anything the staff did but more in myself. The hostess was very pleasant and I forgot my manners for a second and blurted out "for two" We were seated after a few minutes and our waiter was nice and attentive. I believe his name was David. I am trying out the whole keto lifestyle which is something new for me so we ordered the deviled eggs for our starter. They were perfect and topped with a crisp piece of bacon. My wife and I both went with lettuce wrapped burgers. She went with the Finney burger and I went with the Double smashed burger.
