I've written reviews about the other Finney's locations but apparently not this one. This was the 2nd Finney's I've visited over the years and I've never had a bad experience here. There is always great service, whether sitting on the patio or inside the bar area. The ambience is casual and the food has always been good. Heard so much about this place and I finally made my way over here. It was crowded and the wait time was about 45 minutes at 5:00 pm. Crazy, right?! But it was a Friday and a holiday weekend, so no problem. Good news, it turned out to only be 30 minutes:) We were seated outside by the fire pit area. Perfect for us. Our server was the adorable Elsie and she took excellent care of us. I was able to get my drink just under the "happy hour" radar. Woo hoo! Finney's looked new and exciting and we were ready to try! Went on a Thursday and took 45mins to get seated due to the laker game but I must say the girl at the front I think Ashley, was super nice!!! Finally got in and decided to order the onion ring tower which looked Amazing but was honestly ok. Not as crunchy and had a weird filling in the inside of the last one... We also had the poke nachos (careful as that wasabi Mayo can really get to you) but we both loved though different than yardhouse but still good. Our daughters had the truffle mushroom flatbread which they liked and we thought was ok. I ordered the truffle burger with truffle fries which I was highly looking forward to but unfortunately did not meet expectations. Did not taste the truffle flavor and they had a very dried overly fried piece of what I later found out to be shiitake mushroom. It was not good at all! The waitress came by to ask how everything was and I was honest and told her and she said "oh sorry, but everything else is ok? And do you want a box?" I just smiled and said no and we were ok. My husband did enjoy his burger and said it was very good! Maybe if I give this place another try I will get that. read more

Tasty and usually quick gastropub styled restaurant. I don't personally come for beer but their cocktails are great. This last time I got the jalapeño egg burger (subbed with turkey patty) and it's incredible. Definitely recommend coming here for their happy hour menu if you can, lots of choices and some good deals read more

First time at Finneys and we all liked it. Ambiance was good - this location is not huge, they have regular seating then a large bar area. It's in a busy plaza next to the movie theater - so you may want to be mindful of hanging out too long - there may be other patrons waiting. When we got to our table there was a tablet looking apparatus and I thought that may be how we had to order, luckily it was just for payment unless you were paying by cash. I frankly dislike this system I realize it probably makes it easier for the staff but I worry they will start using it for orders like some other places - hopefully not Our waitress was great and kept our soft drinks topped off which is always appreciated We started with the deviled eggs which were tasty- loved the trick of putting some of the filling underneath to keep them from sliding. Our party tried the ruben, truffle burger and smash burger. Everyone liked their food- I had the Ruben it was great - pastrami was very tasty and bread toasted nicely sauerkraut on the side meant no soggy bread which I greatly appreciated. I added tots (additional charge) they were tasty but not as crispy as I prefer. Stole a sweet potato fry off one of my companions and I liked it better. I like that sides are not included that way you can get what you want or nothing at all. Ruben came with chips that were made in house and I would just stick to those - burgers did not come with chips. My companions both liked their burgers - wish the smash burger was a little more smashed. Would definitely return! read more

I've been meaning to check out Finneys for awhile now (especially their first location) and they've since expanded to a quite a few locations - you can find them in Westlake, Ventura, Santa Barbara and more. This is their newer location at The Vineyards and it has a good vibe. The interior is modern in design, look and feel. It has all the features of a casual, cool, fun dining experience. It's pretty good sized with inside and outside seating. The inside features a bar, some high-tops with stools, and some partial and full booth seating. Outside are some tables with some heat lamps. There are some TV's throughout as well. The menu food wise features various starters (bacon deviled eggs, carnitas nachos, Bavarian pretzel, crispy brussels and much more), pizzas, tacos, hot wings, salads, sandwiches and burgers. Drinks wise they feature craft beers, craft cocktails, wines, craft shooters, fountain and other drinks - sodas, lemonades, iced teas, waters etc. What I really LOVE is the craft beers choices - they are all from CA (From Agoura and Porter Ranch to Moorpark, Westlake, San Diego and more) and the same goes with the wines. I'm looking forward to trying some more of the craft beers. On this first experience, Justin took care of us as did some others who were helpful and kind. Service was definitely friendly and efficient. Food/drinks came out timely. Parking is abundant at The Vineyards, just prepare to walk a little if there is no parking close by. The grounds are very nice though at The Vineyards. --What was ordered- Finney's Irish Red (5.5%) - Porter Ranch, CA - A beautiful red larger with an amber color, rich caramel malt flavor 17oz Mini Lobster Rolls - Tabasco citrus aioli, Hawaiian bun - 3 mini "rolls" (they are on a Hawaiian bun versus a traditional roll, but overall I would never again order this. Although I could taste the lobster, the way this was done comes very close in flavor to a tuna salad. Pizza - Sausage & Garlic - Garlic parmesan, four cheese blend, fennel sausage, red onions - Good but nothing different from the ordinary, I wanted to love this flatbread but just liked instead. The flatbread was nicely cooked, the sausage was plenty (didn't taste the fennel really) and the cheese was abundant. (Traditional) Yuzu Buffalo - Medium spiced house favorite. Hadn't been able to make it here because the wait times were always ridiculously long but 30 minutes was worth it. My friend brought me here for my birthday. Overall it's a cool place, feels a little crammed but I get it because they need all of the seating as possible in the space. Food was good overall. The wagyu burger was just ok, the onions rings were good. The spicy burger was the best dish of the day, was so much better than the other burger and it's the item that I would come back for. The nachos were too dry for my liking and the Cadillac was also just good but nothing special. Prices are decent and the service was actually amazing for how busy they get. read more

Finney's is a great time for a sports game outing or a finger food great time. It's comparable to yard house but offers more craft drinks (hence the name). I came last Thursday for a family outing and we sat in the back patio (equipped with a heater if need be). There is a bit of a wait prior to being seated but time does go by, and you can hang out by the bar until your table is ready. My table of 5 ordered the following to share - Buffalo cauliflower - 10/10 (everything about this appetizer is incredible) a must. Buffalo wings - 9/10 (great and flavorful) Crispy coconut shrimp - 8/10 good, flavorful, but nothing outstanding. Good to share though. Moroccan salad - 7/10 a lot of flavor and ingredients, yet the dressing wasn't compatible. We visited Finney's for the first time (any location) on Sunday, May 5th right after opening time at 11am with a party of six. First of all, I wanted to point out that the service was excellent. Our server and the entire staff was friendly, fast and efficient. The manager also was clearly out and about making sure everyone was taken care of. I had the A5 Waygu Burger, which I thought was delicious; however, for the price I would assume the burger would have been a bit bigger. Cooked, it was only slightly larger than the size of a basic cheeseburger at McDonald's. I'm not sure if this is normal or just a fluke; however, that needs to be remedied for the $16 price point. I did order a side of onion rings, which were crispy and delicious with the smokey BBQ Sauce and ranch. Overall, it was a good visit, and I would come back and try something different again. read more

Luckily the restaurant I work at decided to close early on the 4 of July so I was able to take my wife to dinner and a movie. I have to say that I am disappointed with my visit. Not with anything the staff did but more in myself. The hostess was very pleasant and I forgot my manners for a second and blurted out "for two" We were seated after a few minutes and our waiter was nice and attentive. I believe his name was David. I am trying out the whole keto lifestyle which is something new for me so we ordered the deviled eggs for our starter. They were perfect and topped with a crisp piece of bacon. My wife and I both went with lettuce wrapped burgers. She went with the Finney burger and I went with the Double smashed burger. I have to say that they were great although I am finding that lettuce wrapped burgers don't photograph well. Thank you Finneys for a great time and I am sorry for my lapse in manners. read more

I met a few friends today for lunch. This was our first visit here. Hostess was super nice and the restaurant has a great vibe. Our server was Veronica and she was awesome! We were a party of 7 & sat on the patio close to the AMC. The music was so loud we could only talk to the person next to us! Appetizers were great, but salads were below average. Four of us ordered the chopped italian. None of them looked the same. If we had 4 pieces of salami we were lucky. Garbanzo beans were hard to find. One of the salads was the size of a side salad. They were all 90% lettuce, at best. Not sure why it has gone downhill, but no reason to go back! read more

The hostess was friendly and nice, as was the waitress, but the food was mediocre and the service wasn't great. Had to ask for water at least three times before we got it, asked for salad dressing twice that never came, and were generally ignored throughout the meal. The person bringing the food out to our table - who wasn't the same as our waitress - was great and working hard, but it seemed like the waitress either had too many tables or just was having an off night. The place stinks of mildew. The burgers smell awful and are completely dry. So was the nachos. My tummy hurts all day and night since eating here. I'm worried about the freshness of the food here. Also there were no bussers so the service was pretty poor. Took over 25 minutes to get and close a check. Won't be coming back. Shame since we live around the corner! I really need to remember to stop eating here. Service and ambiance are fine, it's just the food is really not very good--unfortunately it's right by the theatre and there is that outdoor place space, so my child will be hungry after the movie and we will end up there. I had the Mahi Mahi Tacos and the tortilla was maybe made there (?) but it was super greasy and the spice was a bit over the top for the salsa just being pico. My husband couldn't eat his boneless chicken wings (and this man eats everything like a garbage disposal) and my kid wouldn't eat his pepperoni pizza. So this review is just a reminder to myself to stop eating here. I wish it was better. The location is pretty great. read more

We have been wanting to try Finneys out and it did not disappoint! We got there and there was no wait to sit outside. Our waitress Camryn was awesome and helped us decide what to get. We got the poke nachos, Buffalo wings and margarita pizza. Everything was fresh and delicious! They had the laker game playing which was a plus. The outside chairs were not the most comfortable and the table was really small and couldn't hold all the food. The parking is also crazy and very busy and it can be hard to find a spot. When my group of friends want to plan a meetup we usually end up here because food is good and drinks are great. The parking for this plaza is crazy but you'll eventually find a spot. The bartenders I've interacted with have always been great and the waiters also have a good attitude, they're running around especially when it's busy but do check up on you. read more

We really want to like Finneys- it's right by our house and has a cool atmosphere and patio. But it's overpriced mediocre food. My fiancée called it "expensive Chili's"... I'd honestly rather go to a cheaper chain. We spent $100 here for two drinks and 4 apps on our last visit. Onion ring "tower": taste 10/10 value 2/10: this was the best tasting thing we had, but 9 small onion rings for $12?! the taste was good but the tower was sad... and it's hard to mess up onion rings Poke nachos 2/10: it's mostly cold edamame? on wonton chips with the only flavor coming from a wasabi sauce. It's sprinkled with tasteless cubes of sad raw tuna. Definitely get the tiny overpriced poke tacos instead. Chicken waffle bites 7/10: tiny portions but decent flavor. I would expect more from 3 small chicken and waffle bites for $12. The flavor isn't justifying the price again Philly cheesesteak egg rolls 6/10: the egg rolls themselves were pretty good but I thought it was weird they came in a pool of sweet chili sauce? Add some cheese and ranch and these could have been awesome, I love sweet chili sauce but this didn't make sense to me. We've been there previously for happy hour and those prices can justify the flavor for a night out. The only thing we've ever loved was the pretzel, and the three one bite each poke tacos. read more

The wife and I stopped by for a late, mid-week lunch. Our friends really like this restaurant and recommended it. We were in the area, so we dropped in. They were "active", but not overly busy at 2:45'sh, and we were seated right away. Our server, Isaac, was friendly introduced himself, then asked if we wanted drinks or appetizers. Sue ordered one of their chardonnays, and I ordered one of their lighter beers. Both were good quality, and the beer was cold. My wife ordered the arugula flatbread pizza, recommended by our friend, and she really enjoyed it. The crust was thin and crispy, and had just the right amount of cheese, prosciutto and arugula. She ate more than half of it, finally set it aside and said she could keep on going, it was so good, but she had to stop. We took it home for my lunch tomorrow. I asked Isaac to help with a decision between the pastrami sandwich and the prime rib cheese melt. He nodded towards the melt, so that's what I did. Good decision...the meat was tender and flavorful, the cheese had good flavor and the horseradish aloe had just the right amount of kick. I ordered a side of onion rings. Somehow, they were delivered cold, which suggests that they are pre-made and frozen, then heated up. There is no way to get cold onion rings from a deep fryer. Isaac took them away and within a few minutes had hot ones delivered. They were good. Good drink, good food and good service makes for a good spot! Finney's has my recommendation, at least for a lunch spot. read more

I really like this new Finney's location. Prior to this newer Porter Ranch restaurant, I've eaten at the Ventura Finney's. The presentation looked great but the food was average. Everything I've ordered at Porter Ranch has looked and tasted great. They have a killer happy hour; great prices on select appetizers and cocktails/beer. I like the vibe of the main bar area, very casual and comfortable. It can accommodate all size groups and has enough TV's with all sport options to keep you entertained. Parking can sometimes be a challenge but if you want to hoof it, you can always park across the street by Islands restaurant. Hell, go into Islands, have a drink and some cheese fries then walk over to Finneys. If your happy hour hopping, you can hit Lure next! read more

Service is great, place is great, even the food taste great, my only concern is me and my wife came here for valentines dinner with our 2 kids 3 and 6 year old, we both went home 1 hour later we both started getting bad acid reflux, gas, and repeatedly burping the food. Came midnight i got a pretty bad stomach ache that kept me up for a few hours had to take some meds and roll up like a shrimp to be able to sleep. Its a shame its our 2nd visit and we are excluding it from our list already. Heres my receipt and pics for proof i actually dined in and not lying. Me and my friends decided to go to Finneys for an early dinner and it did not disappoint!! The restauraunt is big and has a rustic bar vibe that feels very welcoming. The service was fast, we got seated immediately outside at around 5:30PM. Their menu has a wide variety of different Americanized dishes. I got the beef taquitos, and my friends got the wagyu burger and hot honey boneless wings. The taquitos were so crunchy and had so much flavor. The meet was super tender. The queso fresco was a bit weird but nothing terrible. They provided two sauces, I enjoyed the salsa they gave the most, sooo good!! We all demolished the food!!! The price is great for the quality of their food. It was around $13-$16. It is also a sports bar so if you're looking to have some good drinks with your meal, this is place to go! They have so many great options for cocktails and beer. This is more niche but if you want to mix or try two drinks together, our server suggested getting a sampler of one to try and mix in your drink. I love that they do this!! Had lunch at Finney's ordered The Finney Burger with impossible patty ($3 extra charge) and side Cesar salad. Burger was good, bread was soft and buttery, lightly toasted. Cesar salad romaine lettuce was little soft, not wilted but didn't taste fresh. They use bread crumbs instead of croutons, like a traditional Cesar salad. Personal preference, I would have liked croutons and more dressing on the salad. I liked the presentation of the food, burger was served looked like a cutting board. I would go back but I would order something different. Finney's also offers salads, pizza, wings, tacos & sandwiches. The hosts, servers & wait staff were all friendly and checked on us regularly. They refilled our drinks without us asking, which I liked. It's a casual restaurant, they were playing mostly country music, some top 40, and the restaurant was busy full of families, couples and groups of friends. read more
