Loved this place when they first opened but a recent visit soured that opinion. The service was great, from the host to the server and bartender. Food was not good though. We got a pretzel, a burger and a salad. Pretzel was a little stale but the dips saved it. The burger size was tiny, maybe In N Out size, and the bottom bun was soggy. Todays lunch was a disappointment. We have been to other Finneys and enjoyed them alot. This is a great location and the atmosphere is fantastic. However, our lunch was just not so good. My husband had the Ruben sandwich and the meat was over cooked and actually burnt on the ends. He also mentioned that it was very salty. I had a chicken sandwich that was just ok. The star of the show was the onion rings...they were really good. We will probably go back because like I said we have been to Finnys before and usually the food is very good. THE SHORT Good place to go for great food where most items are $12. Great beer selection. They serve hard alcohol and mixed drinks. Not a great place to meet women. They show the major games on TV but no sound from the games. The bathrooms are clean. I'd poop in there. THE LONG I hate that the happy hour starts at 3pm and ends at 5pm. But if you can make it, it's worth it. You can try two new beers and order an appetizer for $20. Most items on the menu are $12 and the fancy seafood items are $14. The food is delicious. I tried the nachos, coconut shrimp, fish tacos, burger, and onion rings. There's always a wait. You can sit at the bar and have a drink while you wait for your table. That's if you can find a seat. It's always busy. The bar area is small. The bar and the two long tables directly behind the bar stools are open seating. It's just kind of strange with COVID that you're sitting with strangers. There is free Wi-Fi if you ask your server for the pw. If you're single looking to hook up, this is not the place. The seating arrangement is not welcoming to mingling. Most girls come with a date or with other girls. There are older dudes by themselves at the bar just watching the game. I came here on Sunday to watch football. I didn't notice it, but my friend said it's quiet in here. We noticed that they don't play the sound from the games. They play 70's classic rock, 80's new wave, or 80's hair band at the bar. This includes during the football games. So no sound from the TV's. Not a very exciting place to watch games. They don't show the UFC or boxing either. The beer selection is great. I've been coming here for 2 years and the food is so good! My friend always gets the chicken tacos, and loves them, and the fries as well which are great. The cauliflower tacos are also soooooo good. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for a table but they did tell us it would be about that long. We sat outside and had drinks. We got a table inside. It was very warm inside and the music was very loud...couldn't hear what our friends were saying. It felt like you had to yell to be heard. I did ask them to turn it down...didn't happen. We ordered the Ahi Tacos...they were good. The rest of the food was downhill. I ordered the Truffle Burger...it came medium well without any of the crispy Jalapeños. I ordered my Burger rare. The waitress offered to have it redone. It came back with 2 little crispy Jalapeños on it and sooo rare that I was nervous to eat it. The Cheesesteak sandwich barely had any cheese on it and the meat on it and the Tri tip sandwich was chewy...yuch. My friend ordered a second Guava margarita and it was inconsistent...he didn't like the second one. Spent almost 200.00 and everyone was disappointed. I started with the Mini Ahi Poke Tacos, which were good and as small as advertised. They were good, but I expected a little more for the price. Once I saw the Onion Rings stack, I had to have it and they were very, very good, beer battered topped with parmesian and with dipping sauces of sirachi ketchup & ranch. I ordered the Smoked Tri-Tip sandwich which was tasty, but a bit chewey for smoked meat. Great selection of local brews sorted on the board by type. We finally made it to Finney's Crafthouse. It's smack in the middle of an outside mall surrounded by other restaurants and lots of shared exterior seating while you wait. Let me start this off by saying.... do not show up here with a large group, the place is not large inside nor do they have big tables for groups of six or more. That being said, our long wait was worth it. Not only do they serve alcohol outside the restaurant while you wait but the people watching was great as well. The beer selection was perfect and the full bar bartenders poured well. As for the food, it was very good, the portions are a little small but they don't gouge you with the prices and the food is so good that you'll be very satisfied. Do NOT pass up the Pastrami Ruben if that's your thing. Finney's was clean and all the employees were very nice, it's definitely worth a shot if you like what you see on the menu. We'll head back soon. The word is, they are about to start construction on one in Santa Clarita. They will do well out there, I hope they can get good servers because that's what we lack in Santa Clarita. read more

We've been coming here since they opened, regularly, and we've noticed a steady decline. The staff turns over quite a bit. The food quality has slipped and the attention of the wait staff is lacking. Overall, Finneys is extremely average. We tried a sandwich, a flatbread pizza, and some cheesesteak eggrolls, and everything was just okay. Nothing to complain about, but nothing I would come back for, either. I'd say the same about the service: the staff wasn't particularly mean or nice, just took our order and went on their way. Not a problem, just, again, nothing to write home about. If you're in a area and need somewhere to stop with family, Finneys isn't a bad option, but I probably wouldn't come back. read more

We came here for Memorial Day, and were pleasantly surprised with only a 20 minute wait for lunch time. I thought it would have been busier over the holiday. It was our first time coming here and breaking in this new location. I opted for the Spicy Berry Margarita. Our excellent waitress offered to put a tajin rim to make it extra spicy. I loved it! Also, I tried their Truffle Burger and it was to die for! The fact that I can get tater tots with it too.. Safe to say my day was made. The food and drinks both came out fast as well. It was a great meal and luckily we got our drinks on happy hour. We will definitely be returning and we love this new addition, it was much needed in Porter Ranch. Living in the San Fernando Valley, there are a ton of casual eateries around the area which are fantastic. But when the Vineyards in Porter Ranch opened up, it brings a fine dining experience in the area and I absolutely love it. I bring to you all my report of this fine establishment and my overall experience dining here. COVID Precautions: Once we walked to their front counter, our temperature was taken before entering and every single staff member was wearing a face mask/face guard along with gloves. Definitely are practicing great safety measures. Ambiance: Nice mix of casual and fine dining with a twist. Due to seating arrangements, they were not serving groups at full capacity so there is a bit of a wait, but the Vineyards is so beautiful you can relax outside their seating areas and relax until your seat is ready. Beautiful establishment with a fairly large indoor bar area. Cant wait to sit there when their fully open one day! Drinks: Solid selection of beer that are categorized in favor of what your taste buds are craving. They also have a solid selection of cocktails. Overall, their drink selection is on point with plenty of options. I went with one of their beer selections (14 Cannons Peanut Butter Cup) and was happy with my choice. Food: We ended up ordering some appetizers and kept things pretty simple. We ordered the onion ring tower, chicken & waffle bites and the buffalo cauliflower. The onion ring tower came with an array of dipping sauces. The onion rings were cooked perfectly. The chicken & waffle bites had a maple butter glaze around it and was wonderful. The chicken was perfectly cooked and accompanied the waffle well. The buffalo cauliflower was my favorite appetizer and was recommended by the server and she wasn't wrong there. It was my wife's birthday and they were nice enough to give us one of their ice cream sundaes with a candle and wished my wife a happy birthday. Parking: No problem whatsoever. Since it is within the Vineyards, you will not run into any parking issues here. All in all, a wonderful experience all around. I will be back to celebrate more occasions here! read more

Have been here several times and always get the lobster roll. Really like it and recommend it for a tasty small bite meal. Lobster is fresh with a light dressing. As for salads, I got a Cobb salad here before and it was soggy and not fresh tasting. However, this time, I tried the Moroccan salad and what a difference! So tasty with dried cherries, feta cheese, fresh mixed greens and some toasted bread crumbs. Came with a zesty lemon dressing but I also asked for some ranch too. The cheesesteak egg roll was probably my prefer dish here. Their Yuzu Buffalo Wings was my entrée and I did not enjoy it at all. My friend and I finally got to try this place tonight. They don't take reservation so it's first come first serve. When I checked in around 5pm, I was told the wait would be about 30 minutes and you give them your number so when your table is ready, they'll text you. I started out with the chessesteak egg rolls and they were okay but I didn't not like their Yuzu Buffalo Wings. They don't tell you how many pieces you get, they say it's by weight but I got 8 pieces. The wings didn't have a lot of meat and the overall texture with the sauce was not tasty to me. New Finney's Crafthouse in the Valley? Yes please! We've been to the Ventura location and it's always been good. I ordered the Finney Burger. Wife got the Bison Burger. Side of onion rings too. Before our food came I used the restroom. The tiles in front of the urinal are already scratched up from some piece of shit with a pocket knife. Way to go. Really people of the Valley? Open just one week? This is why we can't have nice things in the SFV. Burgers arrive. Yeah! Not a bad looking burger but I will say a little on the smaller side. Nothing like the pictures on the website. My Finney burger eats small too. I ate half in no time. It's an okay burger. Wolfed the other half a few minutes later. I expected more. I'm guessing a 5oz patty? Most restaurant burgers are 8oz. This burger might be fine for most people but if your a big guy and hold off on apps and just get the burger I'm betting you might still be a bit hungry. For now I'm afraid the Big Wave Burger from Islands across the street and the Old Fashion Burger from Cheesecake are both superior to the Finney Burger. Wife got the Bison burger and it was overcooked and the bun was hard. She ate most of it and left most of the bun. The manager checked in with us and she told him the Bison burgers short comings. He was quick to remove it from our bill and give a card for a free app or dessert. Appreciated! We both felt the onion rings were okay at best. For $4.00 you get exactly four onion rings. They were not hot. $1.00 a ring seems like too much. I'm stoked we have a Finneys and am confident they will improve over time. Lure is soon to open in the same parking lot. Nice! This review is only on their wait time. People were friendly. Didn't get to try the food. I understand the delay due to covid. But 2 hour wait for a table for 4 on a Tuesday is ridiculous. Especially when they tell you the wait is only 1 hour. We were waiting in the patio area and had some "to-go" drinks while the kids played in the play area. After an hour of waiting the receptionist said theres 11 parties ahead of us. Kids complained that they were hungry already. Thank God for reliable ol' In-N-Out. The Margarita flight is pretty good. Their hibiscus Margarita and guava margarita are delicious. With that being said, the drinks are good, but the food is subpar. It's okay for a bar, but I definitely would not come here for food. I came with three people and none of us cared for the dishes we ordered, and we tried quite a few dishes including appetizers.
