The flavors were fresh and perfectly balanced, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. It was also easy to get a reservation, which made the whole experience even better. It's pretty hard to find parking around this restaurant during peak dinner hours. We got lucky and managed to get a spot acrossed the street from the restaurant. We had dinner reservations for 7:00PM. We were greeted by a friendly waiter upon entering the restaurant. We were seated promptly. We ordered the OG Baby Lettuce Salad, Squid Ink Reginette With Gulf Shrimp, Rigatoncini Al Bolognese Classico, Iced Tea, and Two Diet Cokes. Our entrees came out in a timely manner. The OG Baby Lettuce Salad was pretty colorful. The pastas were cooked a la dente and the sauces were very flavorful. The prices were fairly reasonable and they were generous with the portions. I secured a 5:30 pm reservation for 5 and we got here a little early, having food fortune in finding a parking space across the street. Restaurant week 4/10-4/19. Had to try their dinner $45 per person but of course we ordered the fungi pizza as extra. See picture of menu. I had the peas on toast. Friend had the meatballs. They were salty. We were asked how things were going. We told the truth. They were willing to redo it and we said it was ok. We got it boxed up. Entree: i got fried chicken with romaine lettuce on top. I was told this was not on their main menu. The chicken was super crispy and romaine lettuce paired well. Chicken super thin and coated. She had octopus. I was afraid it was filled with olives but no olives were visually seen. It was ok. Dessert: I had the budino which turned out to be chocolate pudding, super rich and thick, delicious. Didnt like the broken candy sprinkled on top. Tiny sea salt was ok. She had the panna cotta with cooked strawberry topping. Not on main menu. That was her favorite out of everything. We got the mushroom funghi pizza. Eat it fresh with melty cheese. Mushroom was super fresh. The pizza dough was on the soft side, no crunch but unique. Service was great. Next time need to ask Juan what to eat? He is our lovely server. His recommendation was spot on. Friend had a glass of wine, was asked how many ounce she wanted. It was ok. Early dinner found parking. Rainy day so people didn't come out. You know, for as often as I find myself in the Richmond District, I actually have no idea why I don't spend more time along this stretch of Clement Street. For one, it's not like it's all that far from me, but also, there are so many interesting restaurants out here! Granted, this area has never been short of eateries to choose from, but I have to admit the current lineup is far more appealing. So, what better way to start checking them out than by stopping into Fiorella. After trying, and thoroughly enjoying, their spot on 9th Ave in the Sunset, I was more than a little curious to see how it compares to their original outpost out here! Stepping inside, I was surprised by how quaint and cozy it felt. In particular, the dining room isn't overly large, though, they do have additional seating on their rear patio that we didn't see. More importantly, though, the menu here looked just as appealing. Despite not seeing a couple of the dishes I really enjoyed over on 9th Ave, I was happy to see that so many of their apps, pastas, entrees, and pizzas were still listed. A few, like their Arancini, Meatballs, and Salsiccia, were must gets again, but it was nice we got to try a few new things, too! -- NONNA'S MEATBALLS with Marinara, Parmigiano, and Parsley...$19 I was sad to see this was topped with less shredded Parmigiano than the last time I had this, but everything else about this was just as great. The meatballs were as plump and meaty as before yet not super heavy or dense either. -- ARANCINI AL PARMIGIANO - Warm Mozzarella Center, Rich Pomodoro Sauce, Parmigiano Reggiano...$15 Like with the Meatballs, this was pretty much exactly as I remember. The Arancini were fried up to the perfect golden brown, the inside was piping how, and every bite was incredibly cheesy. Too bad I forgot to take a photo! -- SALSICCIA PIE - House-Made Sausage, Ricotta, Mozzarella di Bufala, Garlic & Calabrian Chili Salsa Verde...$25 I don't know if this is their "signature" pizza, but it should be. Each time I've had this, it's been awesome. The sausage is so juicy and well seasoned, the globs of ricotta add a sort of richness, and I love the touch of spice from the Garlic and Calabrian Chili Salsa. -- NEAPOLITAN PIE - Tomato, Garlic, Chilies, Oregano, Sal Secco Olives, Capers, and Frantoia...$18 Ehh...this didn't do much for me, but it's not my kind of pizza either. While I did appreciate that the sauce was flavorful and that there wasn't a ton of it, all I could taste were the olives and capers. Kind of the point to some degree, given the lack of other toppings, but it was a bit much. -- WILD MUSHROOM CANNELLONI - Chanterelle, Black Trumpet, Porcini Mushrooms, Bechamel, and Crescenza...$24 Not bad, but not quite what I was expecting either. On the plus, the canneloni had a tender bite and the medley of mushrooms was great. That being said, the amount of bechamel and crescenza cheese in this made the dish feel super heavy. -- RICOTTA CAVATELLI, LAMB SAUSAGE, AND ENGLISH PEAS - English Peas & Tendrils, Mint, and Parmigiano Reggiano...$24 All in all, this was pretty solid. The chunks of lamb sausage were juicy and not gamey, the peas and tendrils were bright and held onto the sauce really well, and I loved how the pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente. -- TIRAMISU - Ladyfingers, Espresso, Mascarpone-Cream & Cocoa...$11 Tiramisu can be a little hit or miss for me, but, thankfully, this was far from the latter. In this case, I actually liked that the flavors weren't too intense - it wasn't overly sweet and was perfectly balanced between the espresso, cream, and cocoa. It didn't hurt that the ladyfingers weren't soggy either. -- MEYER LEMON-ALMOND RICOTTA CAKE with Toasted Peanuts, Whipped Cream, and Armarena Cherries...$11 I was super hopeful for this based on how it sounded, but it didn't amaze like how I had hoped. Still, it was pretty decent. The Meyer Lemon and Almond worked really well together, and the Armarena cherries were terrific, but the cake itself was a little dry/crumbly, especially along the bottom. Even though I didn't find the food at this Fiorella to be as impressive as what I've had at their spot on 9th Ave, the service here was just as good. The servers who helped us were all really friendly, even bringing out crayons for my friends' kids to draw on their menus without being asked, and the kitchen gets orders out really fast. As for the ambiance, it isn't quite as nice, but a lot of that has to do with us sitting inside rather the back patio area, which would've been closer to the rooftop seating at 9th Ave that I always go for. Either way, I wouldn't be opposed to coming back to this Fiorella, but I have to admit that, if given the choice, I would look to go back to the one on 9th Ave instead. What a neighborhood gem! We were house-sitting for our daughter and son-in-law in the Richmond, so decided to try Fiorella one night. We went for an early dinner to take advantage of happy hour. Didn't really order from the happy hour fare (just got a half-price bottle of a nice Primitivo, and a plate of delicious seasoned olives at happy hour price). Ordered a margherita pizza (delicious crust) with arugula and a nice broccoli dish to share. Both were great. Flavors and ingredients not well balanced. Presentation was sloppy, the pepperoni had these massive stacks of pepperoni together so they couldn't crisp up properly. And the pizzas were cut into 4 massive slices!! I'd expect 8 or at least 6. I was shocked, the slices were so large they were unwieldy. 2 stars for good service - everyone was super nice. My favorite chicken wings in the city. When I saw wings with "herbs", I didn't expect a strong taste of herbs. It was really surprising and tasty. Almost every restaurant has their wings, but this one is definitely a must. The paste and pizza are also very good too. My disappointment is the tiramisu. It's made in house.c but it's way too watery. It's because all the layered ingredients are placed evenly, some parts are flavorless and some other parts have a stronger flavor. First of all, gotta say that it is great that Fiorella is open to 10pm on Saturdays, since there aren't a lot of restaurants open that late in the Richmond on weekends. Despite arriving around 8:30pm or so, it was still lively and busy inside, which was a great sign to me and my partner. We started with the crazy melon and capicola, which was super light and refreshing; perfect for a summer appetizer. It was really well balanced, as the capicola was super thin so as not to overshadow the melon or other ingredients, and the chili crisp added some nice heat but wasn't applied with a heavy hand, letting the other flavors shine through. As avid pizza lovers, we also tried the burrata pie and salsiccia pie. The burrata pie was slightly disappointing, as it was a little blander than we were expecting and the heavy amount of burrata cooled off the pizza fairly quickly. However, the salsiccia pie was fantastic! The sausage had a great floral flavor, and paired beautifully with the ricotta, which provided a nice salty bite. Pro tip: Give the pizza a healthy dose of the chili oil they provide for the table to take this pizza over the top. So much pepperoni on the pepperoni pizza! The neopolitan was also very good. Arancici al parmigiano - fried perfectly. crispy, soft. Stuffed with cheese/rice. One of my favorite dishes of the night. Nonna's meatballs - these were just okay to me. A bit dense but good portion. Was nice with the sauce. Herbed chicken wings - gave this a try and was very juicy. That sauce was amazing - garlicy and creamy and was good for dipping even the pizza crust in! Cacio y Pepe pasta - I thought this was standard, was a bit dry and not as peppery as I had wanted. We ended up getting the $50 fixed Valentine's Day meal which included an appetizer, pasta or pizza, and dessert. Pretty good deal honestly. The Arancini was delicious and so flavorful. Citrus salad was super juicy and fresh. The pastas tasted amazing as well. The portions were bigger than we thought so we had to take some to go. Honestly the dessert was just alright. I took my friends from out of town here for dinner, and we all loved our meal. It was easy to make a reservation day-of with the option to choose inside or outside seating, and my group opted for patio dining. Luckily for us, it wasn't too hard to find street parking. Their patio area in the back is mostly covered, but they also have heat lamps to keep you warm. It's a cute and cozy area, and I prefer the ambiance of the patio to the inside seating area. We started with a bottle of the riesling to share, and it went well with everything we ordered. To share for the table, we ordered the cherries, stonefruit, and stracciatella appetizer, radiatore alla vodka, funghi pizza, and rigatoni al bolognese. The fruit and cheese appetizer was the perfect summery appetizer, it was so fresh and light. It had a nice balance of sweet and savory, and crunch and creaminess. The pizza was good too, the crust was crisp on the bottom and had a nice chew to it. The mushrooms and cheese were nicely savory and generously covered the whole pizza. I like their style of thin crust pizza where the crust can hold its own and it's not completely floppy. My favorite part of the meal was the pastas! The radiatore was the perfect pasta shape with a bunch of nooks and crannies to pick up the vodka sauce. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the vodka sauce was a delicious balance of tangy tomatoes, rich cream and cheese, lightly spicy chili, and herbaceous basil. The rigatoni was good too, but I preferred the vodka pasta. Our server was attentive and came to check on us multiple times throughout the meal. The back patio was pretty quiet while we were there, only two other tables had people, so it was a nice and intimate setting to catch up with friends. We went here to celebrate my wife's birthday dinner. We wanted to eat some good Italian food that is also simple. Fiorella showed up in our searches and off we went. The place is quaint and seemed like a neighborhood favorite. The servers are familiar with the folks and also quickly make the new ones like us feel at home. They appetizers are really good. I went to the Fiorella-Sunset location about a month ago but decided to check out the Clement location as well! We got four dishes; the arancini al parmigiano, the herbed chicken wings, the salsiccia pie, and the rigatoncini al bolognese classico. The arancini al parmigiano stole the show! This was my favorite dish as the sauce was perfect and the cheese inside the balls was so melty and tasty. I wasn't a big fan of the herbed chicken wings as the chicken was kind of dry but the garlic, lemon, and fiorella ranch sauce made it taste a lot better. The salsiccia pie was good as I liked the sausage and ricotta on it but I personally wasn't a big fan of the chili salsa verde as I don't like spicy food and the pizza crust was kind of thin. I'm always trying to find good food deals in SF, and Fiorella has one of my favorite ones! On the last Monday of every month, they have certain pastas, pizzas, and wine for $10, and lower priced appetizers. I had to book my reservation 2 months in advance though, but luckily there are 2 other locations in SF (Polk and Sunset) you can try to reserve too! We picked the Neopolitan Pizza (and added the pepperoni, mushroom, and sausage toppings) and the Lumache Fra Diavolo pasta. I loved the spice with the pasta, and the sauce was so creamy and flavorful. We also ordered the meatballs which were some of the best meatballs I've had in SF. The $10 house red wine was great, and they definitely gave us more than 1 glass worth (felt like 2 glasses with the carafe they gave) which is a steal! One thing to note was that their back patio seating only allowed service dogs, which is the first time I've been in a restaurant in SF where they didn't allow dogs to sit outside or on the patio. Other than that, I had such a great experience here! This is a neighborhood favorite, always see people carrying around their black pizza box. And the pizza is actually solid! It's definitely pricey for the portions but everything is really fresh and the flavors are there. We usually will get a pasta and pizza to share. It's nice to dine in, staff is great. Look, did I need three pizzas delivered to my door at an hour when only raccoons and regret should be awake? No. Did my bank account and my digestive system form a joint committee to protest this decision? Absolutely. But did I listen? Of course not. I ordered the Pepperoni, the Mushroom, and a Cheese pizza--you know, for "balance"--and Fiorella ( via DoorDash) delivered with the kind of speed that suggests their driver was also personally invested in my late-night nutritional crisis. The Verdict: * The Pepperoni: Salty, spicy, and exactly what my poor, blurred vision needed to focus on. * The Funghi: Earthy and sophisticated. It made me feel like a refined gentleman of the arts, rather than a guy eating his weight in dough while sitting on the kitchen floor. * The Cheese: A classic. It's the "safety pizza." It's the one you eat when you realize you've already finished the first two and your body starts making "check engine" noises. The crust was thin, charred perfectly, and somehow arrived still hot( I think) which is a miracle considering the state of the world. Fiorella on Clement is officially the best enabler in San Francisco. 10/10 would make this terrible financial and physical decision again. read more

This was my first time here and overall it was an amazing experience. I came on the last Monday of the month, which is their neighborhood appreciation night with special $10 pizzas, pastas, and wines. We started off with the arancini al parmigiano - these were ok but nothing amazing. We then split a pepperoni pizza and the radiatore alla vodka, both of which were terrific. The pizza crust was just *chefs kiss* and the pasta was perfectly al dente and full of flavor. We also had a glass of the red wine which was a pretty generous pour and a nice flavor. Overall this is a really cute and intimate restaurant, and the food, service, and ambiance are perfect for a nice meal. I will definitely be back! read more

Very tasty food overall; we came for the neighborhood appreciation, so it was also great value. We tried: - Meatballs were pretty big, they were alright but nothing special - Arancini was also good but nothing standout. Nicely fried and very cheesy risotto inside - Radiatore was really good. Its served with a whipped ricotta which lends salt and creaminess to the dish. I really enjoyed the pasta shape as well but the best part about the dish is the tomato sauce; it's super punchy, acidic, sweet, and salty - would definitely try this dish - Caccio e Pepe was also good. Simple and cheesy but perhaps a touch more al dente than I'd prefer - Pepperoni pizza was also great. Generous amount of pepperoni, really cheesy and crisp crust Really friendly staff and tasty food.
