Definitely a must try if you love cajun style dishes, the service here is outstanding and the food checks all the boxes if you're looking for some authenticity in this category. I was excited to hear these guys were coming to NSB after having dined at another one of their locations and they did not disappoint. We took our time exploring the menu before selecting, there are lots of options no matter your mood. Being from Louisiana I considered certain dishes sacred and admittedly a skeptic so I always proceed with caution but there are always items that are irresistible and that's usually gumbo but I resisted ordering it since it only comes as an entrée and I didn't want to be disappointed so we went in a different direction. I was happy to see they offered a Louisiana signature dish, "boudin" which is a staple where I grew up - this is a appetizer and comes in the form of fried boudin balls and they are delicious , a serving of four with a amazing dipping sauce that adds a hint of sweetness to balance out the spiciness. We both decided to try their pasta dishes "Mardi Gras Pasta" a wonderful blend of shrimp and andouille in a light cream sauce over penne with lots of peppers and onion and topped with fried crawfish and the "Cajun Pasta" with blackened chicken - there were no complaints at our table :-). I was also able to get a sample tasting of the gumbo and it seemed legit but I'm hoping they offer this in a cup rather than a full entrée in the future. Over-all a wonderful experience and a great value, portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. I can't wait to return to try out some more of their unique offerings...

Fish and chips

I had read some good reviews on this place, and boy were they right! The food is seriously GOOD. My husband and I both had the fish and chips, which were on special. As you can see in the picture, the portions were huge! We still had to get take away boxes even after eating till we were stuffed. The fish was perfectly done, lightly breaded and tasty. The tartar sauce was the bomb - obviously homemade. Our server was super sweet, friendly, and attentive. We were given Mardi Gras beads (lagnappe) as we entered. They had heard me say that it was my husband's birthday, so they gifted us a little pan of fresh warm beignets to take home as a birthday gift. That was so sweet! And the beignets made an excellent late night treat. I highly recommend Fire on the Bayou!

The food is so authentic! This place is a great treasure in our area! I had medium spice on the shrimp boil. You do have to shell you own shrimp so if you don't want to be messy don't get it. You would be missing out! The pasta dish was amazing! The veggies were crisp tender and not over cooked! The sauce had the right amount of spices that added to the dish and did not over power. The key lime was just average. That bread pudding....yum...still thinking of the rum sauce. Must have but it is large enough to split with two people! Now pricing.... Not surprising but for two of we spent over $100 with a generous tip ! The server was worth it. The food was high quality. The servings are enough for two meals. So much to choose from and every dinner was super nice and looking at each other plates. No one was complaining about their dish.

The murals on all of the interior walls truly gave an ambiance of New Orleans. I have been to NOLA. It felt right. The wait staff was patient, attentive to detail while making you feel relaxed . The food had excellent flavor and reminded me of food I actually ate in Louisiana. I feel lucky to have this restaurant in my city. If you want a good experience that isn't a national chain then consider eating here.

Everything it's as good as the original location. They still have a few things to work out with the distributors but other than that everything was fantastic as always.

The design is incredible, they did an outstanding job of using the natural beauty of this Grand Tree and mixing it with a classy/beachy vibe. We sat at the bar on the second floor of the Treehouse that provided a relaxing environment and very welcoming Staff. While interacting with most of the Staff we primarily talked with Alexis, she made you feel like a regular whether you were or not. Alexis was phenomenal, very knowledgeable with their wine and drink menu allowing her to provide great options depending on things you like. We also had great experiences with Sidney, Jackson, and Bri, all assisted in making our visit enjoyable. We planned on drinks, maybe an appetizer, but decided to give dinner a go. As expected, Alexis' knowledge of the food menu was outstanding as she provided great recommendations for dinner. We started with the in house made Zucchini Bread appetizer, simply delicious. For our main courses we had the Prime Sirloin Steak Special, Grilled Shrimp, Sea Scallops, and 4 oz Filet. Everything was perfectly prepared and seasoned, too include the sides, absolutely delightful. Overall, I wish Norwood's was closer to home (Huntsville, AL) because it would be on our frequent flyer list of GoTo restaurants, whether for drinks and appetizers or dinner. If in the area definitely don't miss out of this Gem

My one friend had the Jonah crabs which surprisingly were difficult to crack and meat fell apart. Recommend getting a smaller sturdy fork. The other had the stuffed flounder which was excellent. Highly recommend this place, great food. Service and ocean view to boot. Also one of the few restaurants that take reservations. My neighbors feel more restaurants should allow locals to make reservations.

Great Spot for a Casual Seafood Lunch!…read more I went here for a late birthday lunch with my partner because we were hungry for seafood Our waitress was super friendly, and the service was excellent from start to finish. We were seated in a cozy booth, and I immediately noticed the fun decor--tons of license plates from different states, some with funny names or messages. It added a quirky, welcoming vibe that we really enjoyed. The atmosphere was good, but not too loud. I started with the clam chowder, and my partner had the lobster bisque--both were absolutely delicious. My chowder had a generous amount of fresh clams and was rich and flavorful, but it wasn't heavy fo my stomach. For my main dish, I had the blackened white fish with coleslaw and fried sweet potato. The lemon was the perfect touch on the fish, the coleslaw was super fresh, and the sweet potato fries were crispy and satisfying. Overall, we had a great time. I'd definitely recommend this place.

The service is top notch and if anyone notices that you need a refill they take care of you, even though they aren't your server. It feels like a family member is running the place and taking care to ensure a good meal and welcoming atmosphere. Boston's isn't a big restaurant so peak dining hours will probably mean a wait, but it's definitely worth it. Their New England Clam Chowder is silky smooth in the most luxurious way, filled with fresh meat and undoubtedly made from the finest ingredients. Several restaurants in NSB serve a good clam chowder but Boston's is my favorite. If you want to treat yourself get the bowl size serving but the cup size is a great starter choice. We visited twice during our one week stay. The first time I got fish and chips and the second time I got the 12 piece jumbo shrimp dinner with fries. Both times I chose the baked beans for a side. You can't go wrong with any choice but those beans are great. There's no way I can eat 12 shrimp so I always have the treat of a snack the next day. My husband got the blackened mahi mahi and said it was fantastic. The second time he also chose the 12 piece shrimp dinner but with coleslaw and onion rings! Take a look at the picture, the rings were terrific. I definitely prefer the thinner rings over the large ones that some places serve. Boston's is a must for visitors to NSB. The menu states that it's the best seafood in New Smyrna Beach and they certainly get my hearty recommendation.
