NOLA specials tonight so we had the jambalaya and the gumbo and finished with the bourbon bread pudding. I cannot say enough good things about this place! It was crowded which was nice to see and the servers were extremely busy. The ambiance is very NOLA. So much fun and GREAT food!! Our food was prepared perfectly, seasoned amazingly, and the service was very good. The bourbon bread pudding was truly the icing on a spectacular meal. They have reasonable specials and also a points system to help with the added costs of everything these days. This is one of our top restaurants that we enjoy so we will keep going back. read more

Fire on the Bayou is a must if you are in the area. We went for lunch on a Sunday, and while the place was busy, it wasn't overly crowded. Ms. Kim was our server, and she was fantastic! She was friendly, attentive, and even managed to get my 2-year-old to smile a few times. The food was amazing! I ordered the Taste of NOLA, and the portions were huge. I ended up sharing with my husband and still took leftovers home. My husband had the mahi sandwich, which came with fries, and the fish was a generous portion as well. My son had the fish meal from the kids' menu, and I was honestly taken aback by how big the serving was. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Highly recommend! read more

Seafood boil !! I repeat, SEAFOOOD BOOOOOILLLLLL !!!!! We started with the dense & rich crawfish etouffee dip, pro tip ask for extra chips if you get low. They seem house made and they're addicting on their own. Generous amount of dip. The bucket of love had my dad & I STUFFED, fighting to finish. Put on the bib & blacked out. It's THAT good. We make jambalaya at home but excited to try theirs next time! Love that they give you beads at the door! Beautiful murals, cozy interior. Can't speak much on ambiance other than it needed some work on the noise. Lively spot & everyone is seafood wasted, some noise is expected. Definitely a must try if you love cajun style dishes, the service here is outstanding and the food checks all the boxes if you're looking for some authenticity in this category. I was excited to hear these guys were coming to NSB after having dined at another one of their locations and they did not disappoint. We took our time exploring the menu before selecting, there are lots of options no matter your mood. Being from Louisiana I considered certain dishes sacred and admittedly a skeptic so I always proceed with caution but there are always items that are irresistible and that's usually gumbo but I resisted ordering it since it only comes as an entrée and I didn't want to be disappointed so we went in a different direction. I was happy to see they offered a Louisiana signature dish, "boudin" which is a staple where I grew up - this is a appetizer and comes in the form of fried boudin balls and they are delicious , a serving of four with a amazing dipping sauce that adds a hint of sweetness to balance out the spiciness. We both decided to try their pasta dishes "Mardi Gras Pasta" a wonderful blend of shrimp and andouille in a light cream sauce over penne with lots of peppers and onion and topped with fried crawfish and the "Cajun Pasta" with blackened chicken - there were no complaints at our table :-). I was also able to get a sample tasting of the gumbo and it seemed legit but I'm hoping they offer this in a cup rather than a full entrée in the future. I had read some good reviews on this place, and boy were they right! The food is seriously GOOD. My husband and I both had the fish and chips, which were on special. As you can see in the picture, the portions were huge! We still had to get take away boxes even after eating till we were stuffed. The fish was perfectly done, lightly breaded and tasty. The tartar sauce was the bomb - obviously homemade. Our server was super sweet, friendly, and attentive. We were given Mardi Gras beads (lagnappe) as we entered. They had heard me say that it was my husband's birthday, so they gifted us a little pan of fresh warm beignets to take home as a birthday gift. That was so sweet! The food is so authentic! This place is a great treasure in our area! I had medium spice on the shrimp boil. You do have to shell you own shrimp so if you don't want to be messy don't get it. You would be missing out! The pasta dish was amazing! The veggies were crisp tender and not over cooked! The sauce had the right amount of spices that added to the dish and did not over power. The key lime was just average. That bread pudding....yum...still thinking of the rum sauce. Must have but it is large enough to split with two people! Now pricing.... Not surprising but for two of we spent over $100 with a generous tip ! The server was worth it. The food was high quality. The servings are enough for two meals. The murals on all of the interior walls truly gave an ambiance of New Orleans. I have been to NOLA. It felt right. The wait staff was patient, attentive to detail while making you feel relaxed . The food had excellent flavor and reminded me of food I actually ate in Louisiana. I feel lucky to have this restaurant in my city. This place is pretty unique for new Smyrna beach. It really resembles NOLA and has a good variety of food and ambiance as if you were visiting NOLA. Our server was great! The place filled up fast. The only thing I noticed was a lady who worked there with long bleached hair (older looking) keep giving frown faces and behaved like she was going to voodoo a spell on us! Lol! read more

Service was perfect & the seating area is big and open, it has quite a few booths but mostly tables and nice wide windows, the food was good, not hot or over the top spicy. I had the taste of New Orleans. Nice jumbo shrimp and penne pasta in a light almost Alfredo sauce but not very thick. Only mistake was trying to bread and fry crawfish the only disappointment, turned out like croutons. Would be better sautéed like the shrimp. Will definitely be back and try other dishes! read more

I am not one for bashing a restaurant. I have worked in the industry for many many years. But the service was mediocre at best. We didn't complain and I understand that they are new. The food was good which is why my family and I were willing to g to go back. We went Sunday night for my birthday. I left my purse which was totally my fault. The decor was festive and they have great selection of draft beer(no liquor). Boudin Balls were our appetizer and they were delicious. Our entrees, included Taste of NOLA, redfish étouffée and Two Tacos. All were large portions and outstanding(tasted as if we were in a New Orleans local restaurant). Atmosphere was exactly what you would expect from New Orleans. I had the étouffée with crawfish. It was good however it needed more kick. I brought half home and spiked it up and it was absolutely delicious. As for the fried combination, fish platter, packed and good. read more
