I have only had great experiences here so far. They have a wide selection of sandwich options. My three favorites are the Hook and Ladder, the Meatball Marinara, and the Italian. I haven't had a sandwich I didn't like yet. They also have the cool coca-cola machine where you have hundreds of items to choose from which I like. The staff is always friendly here. The restaurant is always clean. Including the restroom. There is plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. There is a private parking lot in the center, however, being located next door to Starbucks it gets pretty packed so you may get stuck walking a bit. Food comes out fairly quick. It's priced on the higher side but the quality makes up for it. Expect to pay between $19 and $24 for two people. They support the local fire department which is nice, so I feel like I'm contributing by dining here. Overall, check this place out you won't regret it! **This review was based on trying this place more than 20 times. Took 2 employees here today to pick up lunch to go. Very clean place. I also noted the very friendly (and mature) help... what a pleasure to do business with someone who actually speaks clearly, understands their product, suggests options, and in general has their act together. The menu is likewise easy to understand, with pictures and suggestions all right there on the wall... if you can see the wall, you can find something you'll like. The price was about the same as Subway, but considerably less than Jersey Mike's. My sandwich was a pastrami & brisket with provolone... I forget what they call it, but damn... it was great! The large size was more than enough for me. I don't live near this location (or near any others according to their website), but I do hope they open a location in the Anaheim/Buena Park area in the future. read more

I had my baby at the nearby hospital and Yelped to look for a nearby restaurant because I was tired of the bland hospital food. One night hubby went out to get me this and I devoured it down like a starved maniac. The sandwich was warm, soft, gooey and AMAZING. His was dang good as well. We've since tried a bunch of other sandwiches and you really can't go wrong with ANY of them. I love that they have a variety of sauce selections and you can pour them in little containers and take them to go. Service is super friendly here. So today my boss wanted to take us out to eat and he wanted to try Firehouse Subs. Their menu looked good so we decided to give it a try. The image on the menu board looked very tasty! And so did the description: USDA Choice corned beef brisket, pastrami, provolone, deli mustard, mayo, Italian dressing. Ok sounds good! I'm in. If only I got the sandwich that was portrayed on the menu. What I ended up with was nothing like that sandwich on the menu board. In fact I asked the waitress if this was what I actually ordered. I don't even think she heard me, even though she looked right at me when I asked, because she just walked away. The meat was so pale looking, I couldn't tell if I actually did get both brisket and pastrami. It looked more like the color of turkey but had the texture of pastrami. It was completely covered in mayonnaise. I mean almost as if they dunked the slices of meat in a big vat of mayo and then put it on my sandwich. I don't think there was any ranch dressing on it. There was a very, very , very, small amount of mustard on it. But not enough on it to actually taste it. And then there was a very small amount of half melted cheese on it. And nothing else. All this between generic wheat bread that wasn't even toasted. Aren't hot sandwiches usually toasted? Being I was with my boss and co workers I decided not to make a big deal about it and I went in for a bite. Mayo. That's all I tasted. Not ranch, not mustard, not cheese and not even the taste of meat. Just mayo. Gobs of mayonnaise and generic bread. It was horrible. Luckily they have a huge assortment of hot sauces available to use. And now I know why. The only thing I could do was try to use some hot sauce to clear the taste of mayo out of my mouth. It didn't work. I couldn't even get half the sandwich down. The only reason why I didn't complain was I didn't want to offend my boss as he was taking us all out as a treat. If you are in this area and are looking for a good sandwich, Firehouse is not the place to go. You are better off going down the block and eating at Jersey Mikes. read more

So it's a new place and we visited on opening day. There's good news and bad news.. Good: I enjoyed my Italian Sub. The roll was fresh and soft, italian dressing tasty. Outside patio pretty nice, a bit noisy. It's clean. Cons: Since everyone is new, it's still getting sorted but we found staff to be rude. You do not interact with the staff making your sandwich. Botched our order and no apology. No Coupon, nada. Just indifferent. Staff is chatting and texting but no help with the door, or table clean up. Like customers were not the point. Did not dig the vibe at all. Not sure about whether we will try them again. There's some great competition in the area - so they'll have to step up to get this right. read more

Ate here yesterday with wife and kids. Everyone loved their subs. Both wife and I got the smokehouse brisket enjoying them very much. Kids also enjoyed grilled cheese and meatball sub. Bread and ingredients were fresh and tasty. Service was great and Tony, the franchise owner, came over to our table to see how we were doing. He also gave us a few coupons for free drinks and chips. Just tried this place for the first time and it was excellent. I had a Kings Hawaiian pulled pork & slaw sandwich. The sandwich had to weigh at least a pound. I took one bite and so much juice came out that I had to go wash my hands. This is a fork and knife sandwich. The flavor combination was awesome! I have never had a sandwich with slaw on it, but I will order this from now on. I don't usually eat all the food that is served to me, but I ate the whole thing and left feeling very satisfied. Can't believe I had my first Firehouse Sub tonight. What have I been doing all these years?! Amazing Beef brisket and cheddar sandwich on white bread. Soooo yummy, melted like candy in my mouth. I ate here for first time yesterday. I had a hot club sub with ham, roast beef, Turkey and cheese. Two main problems with the sandwich top part of roll was a absolute soggy mess. I have no idea why, there was no oil on this sandwich so I have to assume it was laid in some oil or something while it was being made. Second issue was the meat isn't layered but had the three meats side by side. So one bite was a ham sandwich (ham was also to sweet), next bite was just roast beef and so on. Kind of strange way to make a club. The Asian guy with glasses at cash register was very friendly and the only reason for 2 star review. Two other people were in back joking around and the guy had to ask twice for them to come out front. Turns out there were three orders in front of mine that hadn't even been started yet. They finally came out to help and seemed to have quite the attitude and you could tell just didn't want to be there. Management should probably make some changes. read more

Another east coast chain invades Cali. It's a better subway. Meatballs have a better texture and flavor then subway, sauce taste much better too and wheat rolls are very good.
