WOW! Firehouse Subs, what a fantastic place! I first came here on the opening day (not during a rush), and it was fantastic! I ordered the Turkey Bacon and Ranch sub. The employee were very knowledgeable, and friendly. Being a fire fighter in training, I really love to see a business giving back to the community. The cashier asked me if I'd like to round up my meal to benefit local first responders. Of course I said YES! Food wise, the sandwich was really great! My first time here they took my order just fine & when I received my sub I seen a hair in the lettuce I took it back to one of the gentleman's & told them their was a hair in my lettuce another guy looked at him irritated & then at me. They remade my sub. They could have better attitude towards the customers its not my fault their was a HAIR in the sub they made. read more

Very friendly staff! I was blown away by how friendly the staff is and how the work well together. They keep it fun and different using firemen codes during food ordering, food prep and when the orders are ready. The restaurant is set up fun! All firehouse pictures and items all over. We like the soda machine they have. It's the fun one that you can choose a flavor to your water or soda. I don't know how much these machines cost. But every where I have been that had one the lines get pretty long when people are deciding or learning how to use it. Would be nice at some restaurants to have two machines. The sandwiches are good. They have fun names of there sandwiches. It's the typical sandwich, chips and drink. They offer spicy sauces. They only have smoked turkey not a big fan. I had chicken the first time. I've been to this place a few times now. Their staff is friendly, helpful and patient. I've tried their Meatball sub, brisket and pastrami. They've all been consistent and excellent, in their own way. The meat, sub and all veggies are always fresh and on point. I've also tried a few of their cookies, which have been delicious as well. If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere, quick, easy and delicious sandwich, this is the place to visit. They're very consistent, everything is freshly made and hot, right out of the oven. Been to multiple firehouse locations before but this has to be by far the worst. Someone forgot to do inventory as they did not have many of the ingredients. Claim that kids eat for free after 4 but the dumb employees don't seem to even know the policy or honor it. Avoid this location at all costs if possible read more

I absolutely LOVE firehouse Subs! Every time I eat there I love it a little bit more and have NEVER been disappointed in my sandwich! Always top notch! The taste and ambiance inside are definitely a 5 star! I give them only 4 because they are very slow. I always have to wait atleast 15 minutes which is pretty frustrating. They usually have a good amount of employees in there but they work on online orders and not the in store orders. Maybe they could divide the work load among online vs. in store for a quicker experience? After the long wait my sandwich is always good which makes the wait completely worth it and me always coming back for more! Honestly, my little sister loves this place, and I had never been here before. So, I thought, her being pregnant, we'd go and I'd give it a chance. First off, its a sub shop chain, and quite a bit of those around. However, this place actually benefits local communities, fire departments, etc, so that's always cool. They have signs on how you can donate, but the cashiers don't pressure you like.....other places. Customer service was really good, both in answering questions, order taking, and the whole shebang. Now then, on to the food..... I ordered the brisket sandwich. For a sub shop, the brisket impressed me. It was juicy, tasted fresh, and went well with their bbq sauce. I ordered their broccoli cheese soup, and while it was warm, it was good. The employees apologized, heated it up for me, and brought it out to my table with another seemingly genuine apology. My sister ordered her favorite....the turkey bacon ranch, and she gobbled it down (she IS pregnant, but I think she enjoyed the taste, too :) ) So, overall, if you want a sandwich "togo" without having to take a subway to get there and want something a little better, I believe I would recommend here. I am not the biggest sub sandwich fan, but if I am with my sister and she (and her pregnant appetite) wants to come back, I would not have a problem. read more

The food was really good. My boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. He's LOVED it. Too bad it's only on the menu a short period of time! I got the Meatball Sub and it was really GOOD. Stopped in here for the first time for a quick sandwich on the way to a basketball game in Lincoln. I occasionally eat at the Folsom location. As we approached the counter to place our order, I saw a familiar face. Standing at the counter is the franchise owner of the Folsom store. He recognized me right away and that was nice. It turns out that he runs both places. I ordered, as usual, the sweet and spicy meatball sandwich. It turned out great, as usual. I've read the reviews watched the commercials and I was anxiously waiting to try my first sandwhich at the place. Smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket. I specifically asked for the BBQ sauce to be on the side because I don't like my food drenched in BBQ sauce I'd rather put it on myself. Love the subs here (at all their locations actually). I've been here a number of times and it just never fails to be a delicious sandwich. I love that the sandwiches come "fully involved" which basically is mayo, tomato, onion, lettuce, mustard and a dill pickle on the side. You can always adjust what you'd like on your choice of sub of course, and the sandwiches are served hot but you can also choose not to have them heated up. I love that this place supports our local first responders like firemen, police and EMTs by a portion of your payment going into a fund for much needed equipment. You can also round up your payment to put a little extra in for our local heroes. read more

So, it's been awhile since the sandwich debacle at Firehouse in Roseville. I finally was in the area and took them up their offer of replacing my incorrect order on my previous visit. I went in last night and was immediately and very politely greeted by staff and especially Connor. I explained the situation and he verified my 2 free sandwiches were waiting for me. I ordered the two freebies and two others along with a salad and their potato soup. The order was spot on correct! Everything was delicious! Ohhhhh that soup hit the spot! Connor assured me that he personally checked my order and everything would be right for my picky eaters. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I like their story of being founded by firefighters, the fact that they place emphasis on giving back to the community, and the very friendly customer service from the moment you walk in. The white rolls are very soft and really compliment the ingredients. They have an amazing variety of subs on the menu! I ordered an Italian but modified it by swapping turkey for the ham and salami. The dressing was light yet highly flavorful and it was applied in such a balanced way that my bread never got soggy. I'm definitely a new fan and looking forward to coming back! read more

Blah. Hubby brought home a ham and turkey sandwich and an Italian sandwich. Here's why they get 1 star. 1. Didn't ask hubby what he wanted on the sandwiches 2. One pickle for 2 orders. And it wasn't even a crisp one! 3. Crappy day old tasting wheat roll 4. Not enough flavor in the sandwich - where's the pickeled items, salt and pepper, lacked onions but boy did it have a lot of soggy shredded Iceberg lettuce on that hot sandwich. . 5. I was expecting something similar to the Sandwhich Spot and their bomb sauce but unfortunately their menu wasn't nearly was big and their basic Sandwhich is sub par. I guess their biggest thing is the hot sauce bar but I went ahead and took my Sandwhich to go. I got the Italian and you're only offered a choice between white and wheat bread. My Sandwhich was semi warm due to the melted cheese but the bread was soggy. nothing is worse than a soggy sandwhich. Service was great, but as far as dining in they don't even have beer! My boyfriend and I tried firehouse subs yesterday afternoon, and from the second we walked in the door, we felt welcomed. The man working the register was so friendly and inviting and was patient when we had said we had never been there before and had some questions. I made my own sub and my boyfriend got the meatball -- he cannot stop raving about it. Mine was good as well with crisp bacon exactly how I like it. I also love the soda machine where you can add flavors and such to your drinks. Prices were affordable as well. My only reason for 4 stars is because I actually prefer cold sandwiches, and am under the impression you can't do that here (although I may have heard wrong). I'm thrilled with this place! Not just because it's so close by, but it's such a refreshing change from the usual sub shops; and even more importantly because of the quality of the ingredients - this is just fabulous and the variety of the menu ranges from traditional to unique. Not much is available in the way of cold subs, this is primarily a hot menu. I've tried about 4 or 5 different subs so far with favorable results. Even the "least" results are better than average, but the best are some of the best I've had anywhere. The meatball is pretty high among my favorites; but number one is a limited time menu item: Pulled Pork on King's Hawaiian Sweet Roll with melted Pepper Jack cheese and topped with Cole Slaw. Someone was in a good mood the day they came up with THAT! I also enjoyed the New York Steamer (though why one would put mayo on a corned beef and pastrami I don't know... that doesn't seem traditional to me. But to each their own. :) And they gladly will hold the mayo and increase their course ground deli mustard upon request. The corned beef and pastrami were a little on the mild side - I'd have liked stronger cured meats, but they were still tender and juicy. My daughter loves the Brisket with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce... and I can vouch for it, it's fabulous too. Seems like I've tried another one too, but I can't remember now because my mind keeps coming back to my favorite Pulled Pork/Cole Slaw, and now I want to go get one. Too bad they're closed. Ha! BTW, their breads are so much better than what we've been getting from the other big chain sandwich shop in our neighborhood... these actually hold up all the way through without immediately turning into a dried up, crumbling husk or soggy mess (for saucy sandwiches). Very nice, soft and fresh, yet has some body to it. Highly recommended. read more
