It's a nice restaurant inside Crowne Plaza Hotel. We came for happy hours and it was empty around 5:30pm. Our server was attentive & food was good. We ordered house made hand cut fries, spinach artichoke dip, crispy fish tacos, spicy chicken tacos and bar wings - buffalo & honey chipotle. The only food item we didn't like was the honey chipotle chicken wings. It was not spicy and just sweet. We asked our server and she said it should be spicy. The manager was going around asking how the food was and we told her about the wings. She said it should be spicy. We were all confused as the 5 of us agreed that it was not spicy whatsoever. 15 minutes later, the manager brought us the chipotle wings. The glazed on the wings looked more pinkish then the 1st batch. There was a kick to the wings this time and it was spicy. Friends and I were intrigued by the happy hour offerings and stopped by on a recent weekday night to try out the food and drinks. The restaurant is located inside the lobby of the Crowne Plaza Inn on Bristol. Parking was super easy when I arrived; there were plenty of spots both in front of the hotel and in the small parking structure in the back. I believe you are allowed to park for free anywhere on premises as long as it is for day use only so that's convenient. There were already a few parties inside when we arrived but the place was hardly busy. A server greeted us right away and directed us to a table and let us know about the daily specials, which were just some specially priced items like a $5 margarita or something like that. She also informed us that all of the cocktails listed on the happy hour menu were $8 each. I decided to get the OC Margarita off of the happy hour menu, which was listed as a margarita flavored with passion fruit. Our server asked if I'd like it served with salt on the rim, which I appreciated because I actually prefer it without but never think to ask. The drink was quite good and tasted sweet but not so sweet that you couldn't tell there was alcohol in it. I would probably order it again or recommend it to friends if I came back with a different group. For food I got the Tavern Burger, cooked medium. The burger's happy hour price is $8, which doesn't include fries. I decided to order fries anyway for $4 a plate. The food did take a bit of time to arrive but it was not long enough to complain. As soon as it did come to the table I wolfed it down as I was starving. In the middle of shoveling the food in my face I noticed that the burger was nicely cooked and assembled. The fries were seasoned well but a bit softer than I prefer. That didn't stop me from eating them, however! One of my friends ordered the Jalapeño cheese sticks for the table to share and these were probably my favorite food item. The jalapeño flavor is all in the breading, giving what would probably be a boring mozzarella stick a nice spicy kick! The cheese was so stretchy as well- you'd take a bite and have to pull the stick a foot away from your face before the cheese would break! All in all, I enjoyed all of the food I tried here. My only complaint would be the price. Even with the happy hour prices it did not feel like I was getting any sort of deal. Located inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel which is right off the 405 freeway on Bristol in Costa Mesa resides this restaurant that offers a good selection of American cuisine that will satisfy anyones palate. I usually come here for happy hour from time to time with friends and family and so far it's been nothing but pleasant and service is always on point. They did change some of the food items on their happy hour menu the last time I was here so it was a little disappointing to not see some of my fav food items on there but what they have now I can settle with ;-) I opted for the shrimp Cocktail ~ 5 pieces of jumbo shrimp that taste fresh and clean ..beef sliders ~ I had them prepare it well done and this actually taste okay ..not the best but again I can settle with it ..and house made cut fries ~ nice and crisp. On the cocktail side I ordered an Old fashioned and a Royal Manhattan. Both were prepared just right and very satisfying. They were the perfect pairing with what I ordered and overall gave it a good balance. I also ordered the Toblerone Chocolate Mousse to finish off which was not too sweet. The Proprietor Burger were a big hit as well. My lovely wife had more burger than she could handle, so she happily gave me about half her burger. The burgers were cooked to the requested temperature and it was a pleasant surprise to see two cheese I have never seen on a burger before this visit. I felt this gave the burger an unique twist and a very good flavor. Jacob's Mac 'N Cheese was bland and it looked watery and not very cheesy, he barely touched the bowl. Since there is all this talk about food porn on Yelp I have decided to use a sexual reference to describe my flatbread. Rohlinism: Adapting to new trends keeps things fresh! Think for a moment of the hottest sex scene you have ever seen and that would represent a "10" on the spicy scale. This chorizo and flatbread was the equivalent of walking in our your grandparents in mid stroke. This analogy accomplishes two things: For those of you who say my reviews make you hungry ... The Proprietor's Burger is a top notch premium burger that I'd consider a best kept secret. I'm somewhat of a burger enthusiast and have recently been to Hopdoddy at Fashion Island, Holsteins at South Coast Plaza and Wagyu Chuck in Santa Ana (recently closed). The Proprietor's Burger can go toe to toe with those burgers in my book! The Proprietor's Burger has two kinds of flavorful Italian cheeses, thick savory porky bacon, and a thick slice of seasoned heirloom tomato. It was evident that the chef put some effort into plating it nicely. The fact that this burger is served with hand cut fries or sweet potato fries during Happy Hour for a measly $8 just blows my mind! The burger and fries deal deserves 6 stars. If you're not a burger fan (gasp!), there are numerous other options on the well-rounded Happy Hour menu. The flatbread and shrimp cocktail are worth mentioning. I've been here for lunch as well and got the grilled cheese sandwich. Sadly, this was the only item that was rather disappointing. Fireside Tavern is located inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel off the 405 freeway. My friend and I stopped by for a late dinner on a Wednesday night and I was immediately relieved that I was still in my work attire because the atmosphere was a bit on the fancier side. The layout is a pretty diverse and I had to fully take in the scene before I could figure out where I should sit. The fireplaces and heater outside probably make for a great environment in which to relax and have a couple drinks. There's a bar area with high top seats and a couple TVs. There's a coffee table with couches in one area. There's a few more plush couches for lounging with drinks and there's also a bigger dining area. They really managed to pack their medium-sized venue with a handful of different seating options. Many of the reviews I've read recalled having bad service experiences here. Aside from our waitress forgetting our silverware when she brought out our food she was great! She checked on us often, our food was served promptly and she was friendly. We started with the meatball sliders. This appetizer comes with 3 small sliders for $7. They weren't bad. I appreciated the amount of sauce they provided, the brioche bun was soft and the meatballs were pretty big and tender. We then split the tavern mac n cheese and the proprietor burger (medium) with fries. I always try to sub normal fries for sweet potato fries--this wasn't an option here. The mac n cheese was disappointing. It was more milky than cheesy and the only flavor we got out of it was from the sizable pieces of ham and bacon mixed in with the pasta. I would have liked the pasta to actually taste cheesy to complement the chunks of meat. The one word that comes to mind when I recall the burger is salty. The brioche bun was sweet and the rest of the burger was way too salty. I didn't taste any district flavors in the additives and condiments in the burger. It really could've used some avocado or fried egg to add more flavor and help balance out the salt. The ketchup provided didn't help because I'm fairly certain it was mixed with a hot sauce which only added to the salty taste. For dessert we ordered the s'mores. We didn't get marshmallows and chocolate sandwiched between a couple graham crackers as predicted. Instead we got a jar filled with ice cream, toasted marshmallow, chocolate and a hard to reach graham cracker layer on the bottom. This was the best part of the meal but definitely the hardest to eat. I'm really curious as to how they managed to pack in all those ingredients into such a tight space. After tax and tip our meal totaled to about $50 which wasn't bad at all. This place has a lot of potential with its cozy interior, friendly staff and nice patio; I just wish the food hadn't been so unimpressive. Excellent happy hour options! I'm always looking for reliable HH in OC and I was introduced to Fireside at the Crowne Plaza Hotel by my cousin. We arrived just on time as HH was starting and proceeded to order one IPA and Reed's Red Ale on tap. Not much draft options, but what they offer is pretty solid! Now for the food! We went with the duck fat fries (gravy on the side) and the chorizo flatbread. Each was priced around $5-8, and for the portion size, excellent! The gravy acted as a dipping sauce, the amount of cheesyyyy fries and duck confit was one hunnidddd. The chorizo was not very spicy, but added its flavor to the crispy chewy flatbread with its spiced oils. We shared everything between 3 people, with decent appetites and were satisfied with everything. On top of the good food and beer, the service was great. The guy who helped us out was friendly and efficient, even though the restaurant started getting busy within 30 min. Good company, food and beer is a formula for a great time! Ambiance: -It is located inside Crowne Plaza and the decor of the place is very inviting. -Quiet -If you want to sit outside, they have 2 separate areas where there is a gorgeous fireplace. Perfect for lounging! Service: -The servers and bartenders are very friendly and polite Food: -Chop shop salad was very delicious. They used pulled chicken which was soft and moist, plentiful avocado, corn, tomato, bacon, dates with goat cheese. The goat cheese tasted like a perfect tangy cream cheese. (this salad is delicious, but nothing special) -Roasted cauliflower- It's very cool how the cauliflower is all fused together into one piece.. so you cut it like a steak to eat. This has a lemony taste to it with an anchovy piece on top. -Maine scallops served with corn risotto and corn pudding with the rhubarb on top. In my opinion, the rhubarb didn't really go with the dish. -Tavern steak- this was not my dish, but looked delicious -Ice box cake- This basically looks like a mud cake and oreo had a giant baby. COOL HIDDEN GEM! Came here for our team's dinner and drinks. Great little hidden restaurant located in the Crown Plaza Hotel. Pros: - Plenty of indoor space and seating - Outdoor fireside lounging/seating area to share drinks or plates (really enjoyed the fire pit area) - Get too drunk, no problem...get a hotel room! Cons: - It was kinda quiet when we came and still had a hotel guest/patrons vibe to it (yes, I know its in a hotel) THE FOOD (Happy hour: 4 to 7 PM & 10 PM to Close): - Charcuterie Platter: nice combination of cheeses and meats, really liked the salami pieces. The bread could've been better. Recommended if sharing or pairing with wine - Loaded Tater Tots: a very sophisticated version of tater tots on a skillet. Pretty good, a must try it once, platter. - Short-Rib Pie with Bone Marrow: had high expectations, but the pie was mediocre. The crust was simple, short rib was a okay. Bone Marrow was cooked perfectly, seasoning was good. - Grilled Cheese Sandwich: this was probably my favorite platter, bread was toasted perfectly and the cheese and bacon was perfectly balanced! Recommended! - Deviled Duck Eggs: was really good to me, nothing special though. Met up with some girlfriends here for a late night hang out. I've never been to a bar inside a hotel so I was definitely skeptical, but walking into this place I was amazed at how nice and upscale it was. It's fairly large with outdoor seating and a toasty fire pit outside, as well as couches and bar tables to hang out at. The atmosphere is very relaxed and seems like the perfect place to catch up with some friends or unwind after a hard day at work. We settled on the couch and looked through the menu, and lucky us it was late night happy hour!! All the menu items sounded amazing, so we asked the bartender (Andrew) for his recommendations. He suggested the burger and we ordered it to share . It was delicious, a perfectly cooked patty sandwiched between a brioche bun and crispy thick fries on the side for $8. Onto the drinks, Andrew was super friendly and recommended a new drink called the Juniata. When it came out, I was amazed because it looked gorgeous. It had tequila, mint, grapefruit, raspberries and freshly squeezed lime, adorned with a raspberry! All the flavors balanced each other without being too sweet. Not a bad place to grab a drink and some food for Happy hour. The space is wide and open, though the tables close to the bar are a little congested, and enclose the people AT the bar on bar stools... Drink wise, they make them decently, depending on what bartender you get. The Old Fashions were ok, and most whiskey drinks were decent, but I guess im more intrigued that they had Allagash on tap.. one of my favorites. And during HH, the Pint is $6, not bad at all Fireside, not bad at all. Foodwise, I tried their Burger, their guacamole, and charcuterie platter... all were decent enough. The fries were crispy and wells seasoned to accompany a good grilled burger. The side of "sweet" slicked pickles help blend all the flavors together. The Guac was good too, nothing to rave about..but then again, guac is guac, if its fresh and salted, the avocado pretty much does all the work for you. The charcuterie was decent enough, had a good amount of cheese, meats, and fruit. The Bleue Chese was off the hook, and the goat cheese very pungent. Went well with the dates, pickles, and salami. Only thing I'd say, is it needs more grain items to help go with the rest of the dish (ie, MORE BREAD OR CRACKER!) This is inside the Crown Plaza, so parking can be a little hard if they are booked...which usually isn't the case, unless there is a convention, or something big happening in the South OC. Fireside Tavern features a rotating selection of draft beers, wine and cocktails. Two flat screen TV's flank the back bar so you can keep up with all the sports. Outside they have ample seating around some cozy fire pit installations. Great Happy Hour Menu Options- I would have to recommend the Loaded Tater Tots as my favorite. No foolin= This is a Meal in itself! Massive Home made Tater Tots are covered by Tillmook cheddar cheese, Bacon, Chives and Sour Cream= only $5 for HH price. I also enjoyed their Tavern Grilled cheese Sandwich. Located in the Crowne Plaza Hotel (free parking), so it can be a little difficult to find if you didn't realize that. I've been here twice now, mainly for drinks, and the staff have always been friendly. Bartenders are pretty good, too. I've tried the Icelandic Mule and a few other drinks. They have Happy Hour every day (never been for HH though) along with a Burger and Beer night on Thursdays, which sounded pretty cool as the burger and beer changes all the time. As for the food, we tried the Proprietor's Burger (I think it's $13 but only like $8 during HH!) and the Ice Box Cake (a chocolate wafer cake w/ oreo flavoring). The burger was nice and juicy, but the dessert was super sweet. There's always plenty of seating as I've never seen this place crowded, but it's a nice spot to get a drink, a bite to eat, and be able to converse normally. A hidden gem. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing place to lounge around with some friends over good food and drinks, this is the place to be. My friends and I came on a Friday night, around 8pm, and it was almost empty. There were a few people at the bar and more people outside on the patio. Food can be a bit pricey but they currently have a late night HH from 9pm-11pm where their beers, well drinks, flatbreads and hot wings are all $5!! Aside from the food, I wanted to write about their absolutely phenomenal service. Our main server, Wailea, was very attentive and knew about everything the bar and restaurant served. She would come by ever so often to make sure we had everything we needed. Not only that, she even split our bill (for a party of 10) and individually charged each one of our cards. WHAT SERVER NORMALLY DOES THIS?!? This alone made me want to tip her more. Hahaha!! Amazing! Erik was another person who checked up on us. Seemed like he was the restaurant manager or something...not sure... But he helped me out since last night when I called in to make a reservation. He assured me that he would have a perfect place outside on the patio for my group of 10. Once I and my party got there, he continued to assure us that he would take care of anything we needed. Came on a Thursday night and it was pretty quiet. The place is really well laid out and they have a nice outside patio as well. A+ on the design. Walked in and was told to sit where ever we want so we chose outside. Took a while before the waiter got to us as I think they are really slow but not sure why. Anyhow. Ordered: American Charcuterie - Pretty damn tasty. Cheese was delicious and the meat slices were packed with flavor. Grilled flatbread - Very flat and didn't like this one at all. Proprietors burger - Best burger I've had in a while. Grilled to perfection and all ingredients worked well together. Wow I'm coming back for this alone. Tilamook cheddar and chive mash - Pretty good as well. Could have been better if it wasn't whipped to death...no potato bite at all. Anchor batter beer fish and chips - It was one huge loin of pacific cod which caused the batter to be overly fried and messed up the texture of the bite. If cooked better or cut in smaller pieces this would have great potential. Overall it was good. Food quality and decor could make this place a hit but need to fine tune some things. Found out about this place after attending a yelp elite event. They were serving these delicious pork belly sliders! But sadly, they were no where on the menu. I hope they add them to the menu soon! Good variety of cheeses and meats! I also liked the fact that it came with some figs and apricot spread. A nice balance of sweet and salty. Of the two, I'd recommend the meat and cheese plate. The burgers were great. The meat was tender and juicy and came with a buttery bun. Good flavor in the burger. It was pretty big too and it came with some fries. I'm not a fan of ketchup, but I liked theirs. It had a hint of spice to it and definitely had a different taste than your typical Heinz. Came during happy hour and for what we paid, it was a good meal. It wasn't too busy yet the service was a bit lacking. My water cup stayed empty for quite some time before someone noticed. Also, I was bothered by the fact that there were a few flies that kept pestering us while dining here. A few small, what looked like fruit fries, and a typical house fly. I understand that the doors are open that connect to the patio, but something needs to be done to keep the flies out somehow. I booked Costa Mesa High School C/O 2007's 10 Year Reunion at the Fireside Veranda. We rented out the "living room", "wine room" and patio area. I worked directly with Ted Frisbee with The Crowne Plaza hotel and he was so accommodating, flexible and responsive with our needs. Our event started at 6pm and we were able to show up at 11am and set up for the day. They have AMAZING packages.. $15/person WELL OPEN BAR FOR 3 HOURS! Seriously?! It doesn't get better than that! $15/person taco bar which was a hit and homemade desserts. Everyone at the reunion had a blast and kept commenting on how great the location was. John was a FANTASTIC bar tender and made our drinks exactly as we asked. Not the normal "hotel bar" Clean -trendy - and more modern and upscale than at most hotels. Food is recently priced with a wide selection. Lots of beer wine and signature cocktails to choose from. Plenty of bar seats, private dining tables, banquet room as well as outside seating with fireplace. Love the decor. Staff was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu. Extremely slow service all for food that tastes like Ben Shapiro's wife cooked it. Dry with no seasoning. I won't be back.

We stumbled upon this place while searching for an alternative restaurant to grab dinner since North Italia had an hour plus wait. Beware! This restaurant is located in the Crowne Plaza hotel, it's literally right off the 405. Now let's quit the foreplay and get straight to it. What we ordered: Hand cut fries - the fries itself was okay, but the Sriracha dipping sauce made them delish! My friends also loved the garlic aioli. Duck fat fries - the duck was good, they gave us a good portion on top of the fries. The sauce was.... Watery.. Macaroni and cheese - sigh. This was a disappointment. Not sure if it was just the cheese that was throwing the whole dish off or if it was the sauce they throw on top, but this was a huge disappointment. Maybe the breadcrumbs? I'm still trying to figure out what it was.... All in all - I don't think I'll be coming back. The service was great though. Thumbs up on that! read more

Stopped by after checking out to grab a quick lunch and to turn in our free ticket voucher that was given at front desk before heading out. Really enjoyed the decor in the restaurant and with the nice bartender. Ordered a sun roasted pesto flat bread, which was really good. Nice and crispy with good flavor pesto. It's not a tavern. It's a hotel dining area used for complimentary breakfast. Despite the name, there is no fireplace. Very deceiving.

After coming here for happy hour, I give this place a very solid four stars. It wasn't busy at all on a Saturday night. We were served right away. The Costa Mesa Peach was tasty, peachy, and strong. Solid fish tacos, decent chicken tacos, and really tasty bruschetta. On the downside, they are flirting with undermining the social contract on which all society is founded. I feel a bit uncomfortable having to write this, but I might as well spit it out: their chocolate lava cake does not come with ice cream! They might as well be wearing Guy Faux masks and chanting to burn the world to the ground. There ended up not being any crisis because we checked and found out and ordered ice cream with it and it was amazing. A good chocolate lava cake is gooey on the inside and they fulfilled this perfectly. read more

Came back here yesterday for lunch, and the place was completely empty. Felt like I chose the wrong place. Sat outside, and waited over 19 minutes for my beer. To be fair, I was with a party if 8. This place was understaffed and service was slow because they only had 1 server. Got their proprietor's burger with sweet potato fries. The fries were awesome, and it came with a sriracha mayo dipping sauce. The burger was okay. I'd come back, but only if I'm not in a rush. read more

Came here for a friend's birthday party. Our server, Yessenia, first asked if we wanted separate checks and then took our orders with our names. The food was umm meh. I only had the wings and fries. The fries were supposed to come with your choice of two sauces. Yessenia forgot (?) to give us our order of two sauces. After the meal we had to flag someone down so we could get our check. Yessenia lost all the separate checks with our names and had to retake our orders to get correct checks. Surprise! 21% gratuity for parties of 6 or more. Mmm. I'm pretty sure that's illegal, but it's also way more than any standard gratuity I've seen tacked on to a bill for parties of 6 or more. We did complain a bit that it was 21%. Wouldn't you? Yessenia was complaining to her coworker that we were complaining within earshot and with a stank expression on her face. Mmm what a way to end the evening. Do you think she deserved that 21% gratuity? Most definitely not. She was slow, forgetful, and not pleasant. read more

It was my first time at the Fireside Tavern. I was there for happy hour received great service after a long day at a convention down the street. The potstickers were hot, juicy, crispy and a great compliment to the icy cold Coors Light in an aluminum bottle. My Tavern Burger took a little extra time but was cooked exactly how I like it (medium well). The atmosphere was upbeat but not too crazy, and everyone seemed to take pride in their jobs. read more

We had the best breakfast at Fireside! Our last day staying at the hotel was fabulous. Thanks to the Manager of the hotel, Aldo, who recommended the hotel's restaurant as our last meals before our departure. Our great waitress, Imelda, was excellent! She carries herself professionally as a waitress. We received the best service. We sat at a booth table that could accommodate at least 5 people but there were only 2 of us, and we tried to enjoy the breakfast slowly without rushing. We both had Sunnyside eggs from the kitchen although there's scrambled eggs at the hot section. The buffet breakfast lets you order eggs. We made our own toasted bread. There're 2 types of potatoes and both types were fantastic. Try both if you can. There's bacon and sausage at the hot section. The fruit section was probably the best! Fresh fruits with nice slices. Yogurt was there too of course. They have a table full with coffee pots, so there'll always be fresh coffee daily. Great coffee here so don't worry! Be happy! I would recommend having a breakfast buffet during your stay at this hotel. We didn't have dinner here but we don't mind coming for dinner next time if we stay at the same hotel again. The bartender was helpful. They didn't mind helping you with extra glasses to take to the room or opening a bottle or anything you need from the bar to bring upstairs or take to the pool area. We did order chicken wings and flatbread appetizers when we sat at a pool on our last night there. Flatbread was very good, it had some pesto sauce on it and tasty. Stopped in after a work event at the hotel for dinner and a drink. All the food items I noticed were overpriced for the quality. My steak was chewing and difficult to cut with a knife, even though it cost $25+. The person next to me ordered a flatbread that looked like it was out of the freezer. The waitress added gratuity % even though I was alone and she never checked in on me after taking my order, what a way to earn that tip. No thanks, never again. read more

Today, me and my wife went to have a daily breakfast. We were hosted by Javier. His service was just amazing. We ordered veggie omelet with tee and pancakes with coffee. Javier was keen to help us, even with small nits like side toast or maple syrup. There was no problem with replacing original maple syrup for a more healthier kind. We also had a pleasant conversation with Javier. He recommended us his best place to have Mexican food in Costa Mesa. Moreover, he went outside the restaurant and printed google maps' directions for us! Even though we already had our breakfast included in the hotel fare, we felt obligated to leave appropriate tip. Surprisingly, we were refused to leave it (sic!). As a way to pay off my debt, I've decided to write this review. This restaurant deserves a lot more... Thank you Javier! read more

A friend had planned a happy hour a month in advance, coincidentally, it was on the same day as St. Patrick's Day. Realizing this a couple days before our happy hour, we were looking for alternatives to the crazy, rowdy, large crowds that we'd encounter at the irish bars or busy centers like Triangle Square. I helped direct our happy hour to the Fireside Tavern because I knew it wouldn't be too crowded, it can accomodate a large group, their happy hour goes from 5-7, and there's a nice outdoor patio. However, I am also aware of the downsides of having happy hour too. The service is slow, the food and drinks are decent (not great), and the place is only as lively as the group that you're with. Well, usually the service here is slow and disorganized. However, we had a wonderful server that took care of our party during happy hour. Elisette, our server, was a super star that had a great smile that made us feel warm and welcomed. She had a great attitude that kept calm and positive even when other staff members weren't being helpful. Elisette went above and beyond serving our group, she sincerely engaged with us and even ran across the street to get my signed receipt that I forgot to leave on the table. I can't say enough guys of things about Elisette and hope that she is recognized at Fireside as an exemplary worker. St. Patrick's HH was a success due to our great server! read more

I normally don't write reviews because I don't know if my personal preference is merit to applaud or criticize a business, however this place has really left a bad taste in my mouth. I've visited this establishment 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I thought it was a great little spot with good food for value, nice decor, and casual seating. I was really rooting for this place to become a popular nightlife location. LA is known for hotel nightlife and bars. I wanted to see OC grow into its own as well. So I decided to drag my 10 friends from HH at Morton's on a Friday afternoon to visit this place that I was so smitten over. Got there and asked for their HH menu. They had 2 drinks and draft beers on special. We said ok, that's fine. We ordered some desserts and appetizers. Ice cream came out melted and chocolate milk was warm. Did I mention, the server spilled 2 glasses of water on us.We asked if we could buy a bottle. The server came back with a price and we accepted. Later, she said they didn't have enough and had quoted the wrong price. After going back and forth on a few different options, she then said the manager couldn't sell us a bottle. They wasted an hour of our time. No one apologized. The manager didn't come explain or see how we were doing. We are understanding of your rules, however it was the lack of professionalism on the management's behalf. By quoting us a price, giving us options, then all of a sudden saying you can't serve us makes it seem as though it was discrimination rather than procedure. You are not ready to run a restaurant. I will never come back nor will I tell any of my friends about this establishment. Fireside Tavern has turned a supporter into an adversary. read more

I was my flight was delayed, I'm tired, cranky, and hungry. So I end up at the hotel bar. Should've hit the McDonalds next door. I ordered the wings which were on the late night happy hour menu. The normal price is $10 but HH was 50% off. I got four wings. I would've been really mad if I paid full price. They tasted and looked like they were straight out of the freezer and into the deep fryer. Not any taste except for the sauce they put way too much on. As a pet peeve, each one of the wings had a broken bone somewhere. I ordered the Tavern Mac 'n Cheese as my main based on the advice of the waitress. It was just cheesy to the point it was all you tasted. There were chunks of bacon in there but they were flavorless and hard. I'd expect more for the price and it tasted like something from the microwave. In total, these two items cost me $21. Definitely not a good value. Do yourself a favor and go to the McDonalds next door. You'll save money and get better food. read more
