I had an appointment scheduled for 9am to have all four tires replaced, and was told it would be done around 12. I got here and got checked in around 840 and there was only one other car in the bay. It's after noon now and all my tires are still sitting on the ground in the same spot they were sitting at 10am. It's about 4-5 guys working minus the guy behind the desk and not one person has gave me an update or even said anything. I overheard them talking about how short staffed they are but that doesn't make since when everyone is either standing around, walking back and forth to McDonald's or standing over by the trash cans vaping. The guy behind the counter displayed great customer service but overall I don't think I'll come back here unless I have to. read more

This is the worst experience that we've had just to get safety inspection done. My daughter took her car last week and she was told that they need to get some work done and it'll cost $300 and the car will pass it's safety. My daughter paid but they're not able to do the safety because they're about to close and to bring it back this week and so we did today. Then today they checked the car, came back after 45 min (when they said it'll take 20-25min only) and said they need to fix something with her car again that will cost $697. I went off and said wth!!!! And started telling them what they had my daughter paid them last week just to get something in her car fixed to pass safety today. I've shown them receipts and gave the guy's name that promised after the $300 safety will be done!!! Why overcharge us customers???!!!! I'm really very disappointed and upset about the whole situation. After 4hrs being there they pass my daughters car's safety. But wow really very disappointing experience. read more

If I were writing this review a year ago they would have gotten 1 star. Based on a comedy of errors. Car was brought in for a safety check, oil change and tire replacement. Car was promised to be done in 3 hours, so I wait. They didn't have my tires but were picking them up. Took the pick up guy 3 trips (I think he forgot to get them the 2nd time). Oil change and safety were supposed to take place while my tires were being picked up. When everything was supposedly done the cashier informs me that they "forgot" to do my safety check. So I was there a total of 5.5 hours! The cashier was nice enough and kept updating me, but it seemed everyone else involved in touching my car dropped the ball. Today I gave them a second chance due to once again horrible service at the Dillingham location. (Please see that review for full story). I called them after finding out my tires were not available at the Dillingham location even though I had an appointment. The person I spoke to, who was ironically the same guy who helped me with the nightmare mentioned above, was very empathetic and helpful. My tires were in stock and even though I had no appointment he told me to get there as soon as possible and they would try to get me out of there fast as they could. He also told me 2 very important things, according to the computer the Dillingham location DID have my tires in stock and they are supposed to contact me as soon as they see the appointment. Not me contact them. Hmmmmm, could the rude lady have lied to me? (Again, read my other review for full story.) So I get there about 9 and talk to the guy who helped over the phone. Again he apologized for the BS from the other location, took my information and told me they would get to my car as soon as possible. As they worked on my car he updated me on what was being done and that my tires weren't that bad. When I told him how often they seemed to be leaking air he went back to the technician. Come to find out, when an air compressor is not purged of air prior to filling a tire it can have moisture in it. This can cause the inner portion of the rim to corrode or rust making the seal not as tight as it should be causing it to leak air. They grinded off the corrosion to better the seal. If he never followed up with the tech, they would have never found this out and my tires would continue the slow leaks. Good job following up! It was nice of him to explain it to me as well. Now I know when I use my compressor to purge the line first. All in all I was there about 2.5 hours, not bad for a walk in. Had to buy 1 tire, the other wasn't too bad. Both rims were grinded down to get rid of the corrosion to prevent future leaks. When I paid, he apologized again. Very good customer service. He was empathetic, even though it was not this locations fault, helpful, listened well, and found the solution I needed. The only thing that would have made this experience perfect would have been if their safety check guy was on site today so I could have killed all my birds with one stone. At least I got what I went there for with little to no headache. This will now be my Firestone of choice. Dillingham has officially lost all of my business. read more

Awesome service and all the employees are friendly. Recently my front tire kept going low and I went to Goodyear who said they couldn't find anything wrong and filled the tire. Today the low pressure came on for the 2nd time since leaving Goodyear, so I decided to try Firestone and see if I needed a new tire so they found a small rip in the tire, patched it and let me know my tire is still good instead of trying to sell me a new one. read more

If there was a way to give a no stars rating I would. Every time I have taken the car in to be serviced they've managed to break something and not notify me. They use dirty shop tactics like not tightening (or intentionally loosening) bolts so that leaks occur. Of course, then they claim it requires a major repair to fix the leaks. They completely broke my air intake system when replacing the air filter to the point I will now have to find a complete replacement. Did they tell me they had damaged it so that it can't be fastened down? Hell no. They also claim that there are no manufacturer wheel alignment specs for my vehicle which is a blatant lie. I took the car in for an alignment and it made no noise. However, when I got it back there was a distinct sound coming from the driver front tire like a bearing issue or similar. To add insult to injury, I recently got told that the lifetime wheel alignment I purchased at this store would not be honored by the Firestone that is closer to my home. How sad that they have burned me for nearly $10K over the past 3 years and my car still isn't working properly. Based on my experience with this shop, if you take your car here to be repaired it will also be intentionally damaged without your knowledge. Never again, Firestone. It is wrong to treat seniors with such disrespect. read more

Today my appointment was for 1pm, got here12:45 to get two tires for work truck...when checking in I was told it would be two hours?I responded with an appointment??? I was already committed so I walked around for 75 min to return and find the truck hasn't even been touched... unreal I'm still sitting in the lobby...1.5 hours later they pulled the truck in...this is one of 20 plus trucks in our fleet ,I won't be back to waste any more of my companies time and will take my business else where...my first experience very unimpressive... I am a firm believer that if there is a problem, Firestone can and will fix it. However, Firestone off of Kamehameha Hwy is garbage. I brought my car in for an oil change and it's well over 2 hours and I'm yet to receive service, even with an appointment. The manager is unprofessional and so are the workers at the front Counter. The time before last I had an appointment and ended up waiting on one of the workers to clock back into work to assist me. Backstory... While I'm waiting patiently he (Dennis) excuses himself .... goes across the street to McDonalds for some breakfasts, 20 minutes later still no service. I then decided to call the same store office in which I'm standing inside of for assistance and what do you know, one of the workers/ Mechanics from out in the bay picks ups. Upon explaining, he provided help while continuously apologizing for his co-workers. This is sad and embarrassing. I cannot imagine having to constantly make excuses for people who are suppose to be in charge of you. Customer service at this location has been the poorest I've receive. If there is a shortage or appointment times are being pushed back please do the proper thing by letting the customer know. read more

It is 4:45pm on a Sunday afternoon and Firestone is the only company willing to look at my tire after I drove over a nail. Both Sams Club and Sears refused walk ins, even though both are open until 6 tonight. Greg at Firestone welcomed me in, even though the shop closes at 5 and it would have been simple for him to simply say they couldn't do it. Called other tire shops. Spoke to Roland the manager and decided to go to that aiea location. I was helped by Dennis the service advisor. Who was very knowledgeable about what he does. Explained every thing that I had question about in detail. Time line and wait was not bad at all. Paid for by repair bill. Dennis was very polite and friendly. When he explained the break down of the work done and also options on what the technician that was assigned to work on the vehicle found. Presented a plan if desired by myself. To follow up at a later date and make an appointment for the request when needed. read more

So this morning, I came in for a safety check at Firestone. I dropped off the vehicle and was told it be ready in about 2 1/2 hours. Well, 2 hours and a half later Firestone calls me because they forgot to ask for my insurance card. The Firestone customer rep asked me if I could come back to bring in the insurance card. Upset but calmly I explain to the customer representative that I only have a digital copy on my phone if that would be sufficient enough. Well before I go on with my story let me explain, So the deal is that I have Geico, and Geico provides a digital card on your phone, this digital copy is given as a proof of insurance. After I explained this to Firestone, they tell me that they don't take that as a proof of insurance and that they need the actual card, which Firestone customer representative should have asked for in the begin with when I first came in. I told them that Geico could fax them a copy of my information as a proof of insurance, but Firestone said they wouldn't take that either and said they needed the actual card with the "watermark". So then I traveled back to the store to pick up my vehicle. They told me that they had completed the safety inspection and that I only need to bring the insurance card to get my safety sticker, they charge me the fee and gave me a receipt to bring back, cause "they already performed the safety inspection". Then I went to town, to get the insurance card they wanted, and then came back to Firestone with the insurance card. To my amazement, they tell me that I have to wait another 30 minutes. I asked them to explain to me why had to wait another 30 minutes, after the fact they explained to me before I left to get a copy the insurance card that all I had to do was bring back the card to claim my safety sticker. The customer service rep explained that they needed to take a "picture" of my insurance card. It does not take 30 minutes to take a copy of my insurance card. So at this point I asked to speak to the manager. But the manager was not on duty, so I asked to speak to the supervisor The supervisor explains to me that this is their procedure and the 30 minutes was an accurate waiting time because they need to "take pictures" of all the information, AGAIN , so they can enter it in the system. Basically they have to start my inspection again! So I asked her then why was a charge before I left if they if the inspection had not been completed, now if you remember the customer representative told me that they were charging me because "they had already performed the inspection" . Obviously this was an attempt to keep me from going somewhere else to get my inspection. She attempted to play it off as something normal for them to charge me even though the inspection was not completed. She goes on to explain to me that others that have had this similar situation, have waited the same amount of time. She says to me"I can't understand why you can can't wait". YEAH, I COULDN'T BELIEVE SHE SAID THAT EITHER! So after trying to explain to her my situation several times about how inconvenience everything was for me and arguing with her on how I shouldn't have to wait after they failed to collect ALL my information to begin with and they also waited 2 and a half hours to tell me about the insurance card and failed to explain to me that I would have to wait AGAIN! After a while, the supervisor finally gives in and tells me she going to see what she can do. At the end I waited 25 minutes to get my inspection sticker. I got nothing but empty apologies with no action behind it. I mean how hard is it to say "Don't worry sir, We will get your vehicle out as soon as possible, I will make sure your car is started right away, Sorry for the inconvenience ". But they preferred to keep their schedule going. The they don't care that I actually waited 2 1/2 hours for nothing to be accomplished , shouldn't that put me as a priority and get my inspection completed. I have NEVER experienced such bad service before from any business. It's unbelievable how much time I waste for a mistake that they denied and failed to except responsibility for. I feel Firestone failed to give me good customer service and try to understand my needs as a customer. It's not like I was asking for much. I was really pressed for time, and all this could've been avoided if I was told in the beginning that I needed to have a certain insurance card present in order to get the inspection done. At that point I know I would've just rescheduled for another day. But now they just lost a customer for good. I'll be sure to let everyone I know how bad their customer service really is. read more

We originally came in for an oil leak and new tires. We had some trouble when they finished with the oil gasket. The motor mounts were broken and missing a bolt. They took responsibility for it, gave us a loaner car and fixed it up free of charge. Then we just game in today for a nail in our tire. They were about to close but let us come in anyway. We have had a few rough spots with them. But overall they have fixed all our car problems and have great customer service. They will keep me as a return customer. Didn't get 5 stars because of the motor mount issue... They didn't bring the problem up to us. We found it on our own when we were about to leave... if my car is broken, just tell me. read more

I believe in so conditions chances, well...I gave firestone three chances, failed all three... 1- fort Shafter firestone, asked them to put my car on a lift and find the source of a leak, they gave it back to me 6 hours later, and told me the oil was leaking from valve cover, front seal, rear seal and the oil pan ,and told me I need a new oil cap... wrong wrong wrong... I climbed under it myself, it was clearly a power steering hose, cost me $40. 2- took the wife's SUV in for tires to Aiea FS.. they are pricey for the Durango... with an appointment, it was over 2 hours before the first tire came off... 4 hours for new tires.. new definition of island time! 3 - took my 4th car in for an oil change, got it at auction, has been sitting for 2 years, oil is bad... told them it was running a little rough... 4 hours later I get a call from them, they refused to service the vehicle because it was running ruff... seriously... don't most of the cars taken to a shop have problems? Btw, I drove the car there and drove it home, yeah she was running a little ruff.. my business will now go elsewhere, somewhere that has trained mechanics, I'll bet that the manager didn't even take the time to check it out... sad... letter sent to corporate. read more

I remember always coming here when I had my old car but now I go somewhere else since I have a recently new car but this place has always been great for all my vehicle complete auto needs whenever I come. I would suggest to schedule an appointment to make everything hassle free and gives you a guaranteed chance at guaranteed service. It is conveniently located right across from the whole Pearlridge Shopping Center complex. The keyword convenient is not an understatement because it is literally right next to so many places to go to just in case yo have to wait a while for your car to be serviced, fixed, or inspected or whatever they are doing to your car. The customer service is good. They have great communication and they keep you updated with whatever they are doing to your car. The prices for the different services that they do is pretty decent. They have a small waiting area right in front of the help counter with a TV, free wifi, and a couple of seats. Walking in is also ok too but again I would suggest calling them first just to make sure. read more

Took my car there they dented the hood by slamming it to hard i'm guessing and said they didn't do it and didn't tighten my center cap and it flew off on the freeway and wouldn't pay for it. When I tried to talk to them , they said the manager was in a meeting every time. They also broke off my lug nut and didn't know it until I had to change my tire.So check your lugnuts if they are covered. Basically if they MESS your car up they won't cop to it .... Why schedule an appointment? Made an appointment a week ahead to have them work in my vehicle. Dropped my vehicle to them half hour before the actual appointment time. Told me it would take an hour and a half. The time frame seem reasonable enough for the type of work that needed to be done. So instead of waiting there I went to the mall across the street to kill time. I decided to watch a movie as it would be more time consuming and less of me spending money on unnecessary things. The movie was a little more than two hours. I still haven't received phone call from them. So i decided to browse around the mall. It was about fours and still no phone call, so I walked back to the shop, thinking it should be done. Big surprise when I got back to the shop. My car was still parked exact place as when I dropped it off to them, 4hrs ago. I talked to the service advisor who checked me in and he told me that they were a little bit busy and will be working on my car as soon as the next garage becomes available. Boy was I furious! I was like no I want my keys back as I will take my car some where else. Left the place with no work done on my car. Very Bad Service. Warning Stay Away from Here!!! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars, but I'm rating in order to share my experience. I drive an older 2007 Jeep Patriot, and the battery was starting to die every now and then. After a couple times jumping it, I finally brought it into Firestone in Aiea. Firestone told me, after keeping my car for a little over 3 hours, that my starter was bad. They estimated $405 for a new starter + labor. Being a teacher here on the island, I knew this was not in my budget. So I did my research, and called around. I found out that if my car was even starting on a jump, that there's no way it could be the starter. After taking it to NAPA Auto Parts, NAPA told me that both my starter and alternator were fine and that my battery (being brand new) was fine as well. The problem was that the battery terminal connector on the positive side was loose and corroded. The helpful man at NAPA told me he couldn't believe that Firestone totally missed this much easier/cheaper fix. Knowing this leads me to believe that they were trying to take advantage of me, a younger girl who is new to the island, and make a couple hundred bucks. I am very disappointed in the service and the morale of this car service company. read more

A couple of months ago, my wife and I went into Firestone to get her car serviced. They told us that the rack and pinion needed to be replaced, boots, axels, the works, total job was going to be 2100 dollars and some change. Long story short, they said that there was a leak coming from the front end but did not say what kind of fluid nor show us anything. We took the vehicle to three other mechanics of reliable names and they all said the same thing, the boots were torn as they said but someone had sprayed motor oil into the broken boots. All three mechanics and their managers said that someone had taken motor oil and put it in. Also, included in the courtesy check, would have been the air filter, they did not even open up the hood to check it and stated it was good. And the entire front end did not need replacing. We still got it done and for almost one third the price that firestone was asking. Today, I took my truck in for an oil change and a courtesy check. They put my truck up on a jack and checked my tires as they changed my oil. I walked around to look at what they were doing because they told me it would take only an hour. I returned an hour after I dropped it off (with an appointment) and they had just put it on the jack. The mechanic was working on it and I went inside to the sales room, where the advisor had said they found a nail in my tire, and there was a slow leak of air and asked if I wanted a road hazard repair for my tires, and a lifetime balance and alignment in case something like this were to happen. I informed them my tires were under warranty at Costco and would have them check it out. Took the car to Costco, they lifted my truck, checked the tire in question, nothing. Checked all four tires for leaks, nothing. Took the tire in question off the truck and pulled it off the rim, dunked it in water for a pressure check, and still nothing. Three hours of testing, and Costco's mechanics found no leaks. When I called and informed Firestone of their practices the Manager said that they showed me where the leak was and I must have never saw it. I told him what Costco mechanics did, and he said and I quote, "Costco mechanics don't know what they are doing, we are certified technicians." Mind you, the mechanic at Firestone did nothing but spray soap on it and once it bubbled said it was leaking air. I did not even see a nail nor did he show me one. He did not even pull the tire to dunk it or pressure check it. Firestone in general has the worst service, management, and technicians I have ever encountered in my life, and the bad part about this all is I have to say I used to work for them, and this is the reason I left. read more

Our tire shredded on the freeway and we made it to Pearl City. After being turned away at Lex Brodies (20 minutes before they closed) We went to Firestone and Vance was wonderful, he went above and beyond when they only had 3 of my tires, they had someone go get the 4th from a different store. Vance and his crew stayed after hours to finish my car (instead of insisting the car stay overnight). Very pleased and great discount. Will go back! Definitely 5 star! read more

dropped my ride off at 9am..was told it was gonna be till 12pm..got a call from firestone bout 12pm that my right front tire had a split in the threads and that my tire was gonna be replaced and if they could not get the tire from their tire supply that i was gonna get a call back and that they were runnin behind schedule..i never got a call back for the rest of the day!!!!..i tried callin the office at 530pm and decided to go there with my fiance to find out the status of my ride but when we arrived they were already closed for the day!!! wth at 6pm closed??? when their hours say 7am-7pm..lame!!!bad communication on their part..and my ride is still in the garage or where is it? i was never told they were gonna hold it overnight..i ain payin no overnight fee screw that!!!..the manager better have some answers and a discount waiting cause now i cant get to work on time or jus being inconvenienced cause of their incompetence...totally unacceptable..i dont even think they warrant 1 star read more

Some of you will find it odd that what prompted me to write this 5* review is for the LACK of service this Firestone provided me! First, they charged me about $100 to diagnose my Check-Engine light and found it to be EGR related. 3 parts were "needed" but they couldn't find the parts, saying they've been discontinued so they couldn't help me. I found an EGR valve with no problem, but searched long and hard for a "transducer" they claimed that I needed. My service manual doesn't mention any transducers, but after research, I found that transducers have the same definition as a modulator. I asked them if transducers are the same as modulators. They said no. I had 2 more days of racking my brain with more research. Long story short, I learned so much, found an awesome forum with other Suzuki/Geo owners, a reliable website that sells all the parts my Geo needs, and I found a way to fix my issue. Only thing I had to buy was carburetor cleaner, package of pipe cleaners, and a cool $7 socket kit that I'm sure I'll use again in the future. On top of that, I learned a cool trick to diagnose check-engine-light trouble codes, with just the use of a paper-clip. I would have PAID someone $100 to learn this trick, so I don't feel that my $100 to FS was wasted (if it wasn't for them turning me away, I would have never been prompted to do the research). I am now SO inspired to learn how to do my own repairs! Firestone, if you're reading this THANK YOU SO MUCH for turning me away! I hope I'm not sounding sarcastic, because I'm not. I truly am grateful for my experience, even though I probably gained a few gray hairs the past few days. And I will return to Firestone in the future, for tire service. I've been in their awesome lifetime tire warranty for the past 8 or so years, and it has really paid off. Great deal for those who plan to have their cars for keeps. They've also helped resolve my brake issue. read more

I have a 2014 Honda Civic who is my Lightning Mcqueen. I found out his tire had a slow leak, which was manageable while it was SLOW. I filled the tire up the day before, thinking it would last me a couple of weeks, like the last time it happened, and 3 hours from this location's closing, I found out my tire had a small tear on the wall, and was having a really hard time driving. I immediately start calling around for Firestone tires, which only The Firestone store's seem to carry. I first call the Schofield Firestone location; the girl who answered the phone was rude, said I'd have to wait 5 days for an appointment, no walk in's. I was about to go to Sears, and settle for a good year tire, when instead of calling Sears, I accidentally called Firestone in Pearl City who understood my emergency, and told me they would have it done by closing. Came in for a oil change. The people behind the courtesy counter were great; he informed me that I have lifetime tire balance and rotation and if I wanted to rotate and balance my tires. I said yes and patiently waited. I came back about 1 hr and 15 mins later and they just started my tire balance. I thought I'd be done in 20 mins. Boy was I wrong. 30 mins went pass before I asked the counter how much longer. She checked and said they were having trouble balancing one so it is taking a little longer. Come to find out they can't balance it because it had repair a flat slime in the tire. They said they would change it, they just need to run to their sister store at Hickam (which is 10 mins away). Two hours later and I am still sitting here. Wasted 3 hours of my life waiting for service that should have been done in 1 hour. Very disappointed! read more
