I took my car here bc it had a really bad squeak while driving. I was told my rear axle was bent and it was going to cost me $1000. I wasn't going to be able to afford it so I had a friend take a look at it. Come to find out my axle wasn't bent at all. I needed a new caliper bracket. I'm guessing bc I am a young woman they thought they could rip me off. I would not recommend going here unless you know what is wrong with your car bc apparently they will try to take advantage of you. read more

The WORST type of manipulating people who "fish" around for problems with your car...they take advantage of people who don't know much about cars and try to convince you that you need to get all these things "fixed"...disgusting heartless people who will lie to you just so they can charge you for more services than you actually need. All I needed was an oil change and they came out with all sorts of "problems" with my car. I didn't have anybody to consult about these issues so I had no choice but to fork over $1500 (money I couldn't afford to spend as a college student. At this time I only had $2000 in my bank account). Since this was my only means of transportation I couldn't risk not getting it "fixed" so even if I didn't have much money which I made known to them, I paid the $1500. They had no mercy taking money from me when they knew I was struggling to afford the services. After my husband returned from his deployment, I showed him the services they performed and he knew I was taken for a ride. I even consulted with an independent mechanic and he told me not to let these people "fish around" for things in my car, because they will find ANYTHING! Just know what the problem is and tell them point blank, this is what I want done only. Fix it. Don't give them an opportunity to manipulate you!!! This reveiw is on behalf of my mom, who had her rear breaks changed on a Friday (with an appointment) and waited for over 7 hours (!!) to get to completed. If that wasn't enough, the technician forgot to tighten the e-brake cable. Thus, when she drove it home and parked it (and she lives on a hill) she had to pull the e-brake up all the way and the car still moved while in park. I went in with her to have the cable tightened and to ensure she did not waste another full day there. The guy who helped us at the counter immediately pulled a guy off the line to fix this issue right away. However, it still took over 2 HOURS to tighten the e-brake cable, something that should not have taken more than 30-40 minutes, and especially should've been done on her first visit after her rear brakes were fixed!! There were 2-3 guys standing around watching a technican do his work . I don't know if he was teaching them or talking story but COME...ON...! Big FAIL for this Firestone location. Customer service was nice/polite but I will NOT recommend this location. Unfortunately, I realize this place will still get business because of its location and for those who choose to patronize this place, I would just caution to be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. read more

brought my car in @ 8am because of a coolant leak issue that i've noticed for a few days. explained to them what i thought was the issue and they said they'll take a look at it. they said they'd have to do some tests on it before they could start any work. so they went ahead and performed a colling system pressure test wich cost $31.40. took about 3 hours until they called me to say my car was done. to confirm what i've suspected the issue to be, they told me it was leaking from the bypass hose and radiator cap had low pressure. estimated cost would be about $340, which was fine with me. but since i didn't have time to have it worked on that day, i scheduled an appointment the following day to go ahead with the repairs. next day i brought my car in @ 9am. dropped it off and went about my day waiting for the call to tell me it was done. the whole day passed, (6 hours to be exact) and no call. so i decided to just show up to see if my car was ready to go. worker at the counter remembered me from the day before and was pretty polite, but what he was about to tell me turned my mood around. he said they weren't able to do any work on it because the part they had didn't fit and they weren't sure if the dealer has it. okay, so why did no one call to tell me that hours ago so i still had time to think about other options like bring my car somewhere else? they looked at my car 2 days in a row. i do understand that they wouldn't know what part it needs until they actually work on it; but still poor shit service. who knows how long my car was just sitting there? i don't even think they contacted other locations for the part. he looked at the paperwork and did notice that no one even attempted to call and inform me. asked if i wanted to schedule another appointment for the next day; yeah no, i don't think so. i just took my keys and was ready to leave the damn place but i noticed the hood still up. i could have done it myself but no work was done on it during the entire day; they couldn't even close the damn hood?! i would give this place a 0 or maybe even negative star rating but i'm not sure it even gives that option. maybe 1 star for the polite worker at the counter...no wait nevermind, i'll retract that because thos place doesn't deserve it. never doing business here again. read more

4/3/2015 I made an appointment to my 2 front tires replaced. I got my 2 new back tires from Firestone Waipahu, and their service was GREAT!! So, since I was in the area (AIEA) and Waipahu had one of their machines down I asked if I can go to Firestone AIEA, Waipahu mechanic/employee said yes, just call for an appointment. I called Firestone AIEA, made the appointment, told them I was referred by the Firestone Waiphau. I requested early morning, but the employee on the ph said that they have a 2pm open 4/4/15. I said ok, what is my wait time because I have to be somewhere at 5pm, employee assured me that it will take no longer than 1 hour because I have an appointment. 4/4/15 we arrive to Firestone AIEA, checked in at 2pm. 30-45 min later a couple comes in complaining how their tire blew out, and they need to get a tire fixed ASAP because the male had to go somewhere. An employee of Firestone AIEA walks in and greets them because they are acquaintances and the female introduces this Firestone AIEA emp as her bestfriends husband. Firestone AIEA emp then asks what the problem was and they explained the whole story and the Firestone AIEA emp assured them that he will take care of it ASAP. The WALK-IN couple then leaves (about 3pm), and I notice my car is still parked where I parked it, no one has yet come to work on my car. I then asked the female emp that checked us in, how long before my car is going to get worked on, she says she will ask her manager which is a female as well. Manager never spoke a word to us to explain the delay. The manager tells the female emp that it will take another 2 hours. I then said, if the couple that came in comes back in an hour to get their car I will be upset because they just walked in and got the best service ever, while we made an appointment, which was assured that our wait time will be 1 hour. Female emp goes to manager tells her what I said, and came back with "my manager said if you want to go somewhere else?" I was livid at this moment. I told the female emp NO! I have been here for almost 2 hours after my appt time. female emp tells the manager what i said. Female emp then says "my manager said they will give me a $60-$70 discount" I got more livid. I called to the manager and she ignored me. I was more livid because an hour and a half had pass and still my car was not touched. Female emp is on the phone at about 4pm telling a customer to come back their car is done. And low and behold the walk in couple strolls in all smiles that their car is fixed. I took a video of the couple and the employees and their manager. At that moment, my car was moved into the garage to be fixed. And it was done in 45 minutes. I was really disappointed because we got GREAT service from the Firestone in Waipahu, and even if it was a long wait, the manager came and talk to us so we dont get all upset just sitting and waiting. Shouldnt all the Firestones be the same? I will never go back to FIRESTONE AIEA, and I have notified all my family and friends and I posted the video on social media to NEVER go to FIRESTONE AIEA. I guess if you are a friend of an employee at FIRESTONE AIEA you come first before the rest. Customer service = Could be better. Quality of work = Not Good. Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Had some kind of noise under the left front end and asked them to check it. I thought it might be something in the suspension or steering. Two hours later they call me with a laundry list of repairs needed totaling $700. They told me the click/clunk is due to a broken motor mount. Sounded plausible enough so I authorized them to fix it. They call me less than an hour later and tell me my car is ready. Replacing a motor mount is a pretty serious job that would take me a good part of the day to complete so I questioned if all the work had been done. The assured me it was. Walked over to pick up the car. When I inspected the work, it was obvious the tire rotation was not complete. They rotated the passenger side but not the driver's side tires. I brought the salesman out to discuss. He went to the technician who assured him the work had been done. Well, as any good inspector knows, once you find something, you keep digging. The oil change was done. A test drive revealed the same click/clunk in the left front. When I challenged the salesman, he obviously didn't understand what I was talking about and just kept telling me the technician signed off on the work. The manager wasn't around and the technician either couldn't or wouldn't talk to me so it became apparent I was wasting my time. So - the end result is I paid $200+ for an oil change and a half-assed tire rotation. And now I'll have to take my car to a reputable repair shop to have the work done. This place is about sales and generating revenue while cutting corners. I will never let them near my car again. Thank God it wasn't my wife or daughter's car I trusted to them. read more
