It takes a lot for me to leave a review... This firestone has had our vehicle for almost 16 hours the last 2 days and did the bare minimum. Day 1 it took almost 6 hours for them to complete the inspection. My vehicle failed because it needed 2 new lightbulb in the tail lights, easy fix. BUT they wanted to charge us $170 to replace those 2 lightbulbs. My husband brought the lightbulbs to the shop and said he'd replace them so we could pass the inspection and they refused and we were told to come back the next day. Btw it cost us under $20 to replace the lightbulbs. $170 quote is highway robbery. Day 2 We brought my car in again at 10:15am. At 4:50 pm I called and my car still wasn't inspected... I was told It was next. My husband got fed up and went to pick it up at 6:30 and we were told the inspection still hadn't been done it AND THE INSPECTOR WASNT EVEN THERE. This place sucks. Absolute Horrendous service! Took my truck to the Firestone Pavilion location in Chesapeake to get brand new tires installed. I purchased the tires elsewhere and brought them in because doing it that way was more cost efficient than the dealership however, I was told that I "should get an alignment whenever I do anything with my tires," which was a lie. I was then charged for an alignment that I did not need and when I got my truck back, my steering wheel started shaking every time I was driving and accelerated above 60 MPH. I contacted the store to inquire about the cause of the shaking steering wheel and was callously told "oh your tires just need to be balanced," even though I was literally just charged for new tire replacement and an alignment. Asked them Friday afternoon, do I need to make an appointment to bring the truck back in and was told by someone named Alex, "no just bring it in on Sunday, my schedule is wide open." Brought it in on Sunday and was told, Alex was gone already for the day and there was only one mechanic in the shop and he wouldn't be able to get to it that day, even though there were no other vehicles in the shop. I explained to the customer service representative that it was an inconvenience for me to keep coming back because I have little ones and I'd have to drag them to the appointment. Nonetheless, save your money and yourself the headache and do not utilize their services. read more

Went in to get a tire repaired and the service was quick and not to expensive just a little over 30 bucks .The people working the counter were friendly and helpful. The previous week I brought a car in for a safety inspection and again the service time was reasonable. I would definitely would recommend them to a friend and would come back again. read more

I originally had my truck towed to a different Firestone to replace the wheel bearing. A week and a lot of $$$ later, they told me it was all done. I drove it home and noticed the alignment was off. When I called, they told me I'd need to take it somewhere else for alignment and they'd reimburse me. I brought it to this Firestone after a harrowing trip down the highway. The crew was polite and attentive and fit me in to their schedule. They informed me that there was no way to align it correctly because the wrong parts had been installed at the other Firestone. They offered to contact the District Manager for me about the situation. They'll be fixing it at no charge to me on behalf of the other Firestone because it is not safe to drive anywhere else. I am very happy so far and after talking with them, am confident that they will fix my truck correctly. read more

I would just like to share my experience. I have a Japanese made 04 Forester XT that I regularly maintenance and work on myself, unfortunately this repair I could not do myself without a shop. I had a coolant leak in my crossover, which required removal of my intake manifold (to which the labor costs of were absolutely ridiculous). When I picked it up, my check light came on after two miles and began engine hunting. I pulled into a gas station and read the code P0011 with my code reader. I tried to drive it back and my car almost stalled, every warning light came on and my wheel locked while still in motion. I left it to them to tow it back and fix it. They test drove her (around the parking lot, which does not suffice) and "could not replicate the issue". I came back to test it myself properly, and lo, the engine hunting was still occurring. By this time, I am more than peeved--I grabbed an employee to show him the hunting and told them to fix this new problem. I do not subscribe to the idea of coincidence, so I suspect a mistake was made in the original repair. The same lady who "test drove" and "couldn't replicate the issue" then told me with conviction that it was "a Camshaft Position Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance Bank 1". Yes, lady, thank you, I am aware what it is. I am trying to tell you that a possible cause is damage or obstruction to my vacuum hoses, which just so happen to be attached to my intake manifold. Her reply was verbatim "did a mechanic say something about vacuum hoses?" I don't need a mechanic to tell me, because I do in fact, know the car I have driven and repaired for fifteen years very well. While it is not definitively the cause of my engine hunting, the possibility that the shop caused it is very serious. If it is something else, fine, I was incorrect and will pay to fix it. However, I would like a partial refund or at least a reasonable price if the shop did indeed damage my car instead of them scalping me for an issue they may have caused. The only employee who listened and heeded what I had to say, as someone who does car work, was Brandi. Brandi is my hero in this mediocre shop. read more

Wife took her vehicle in for a state inspection and they tried to up-charge her for a service that it was not due for. They wanted to do a cabin air filter maintenance for $89 !!! The filter takes 2 minutes to change out and it's a $15 part. What kind of highway robbery scam is this? The service is recommended to be completed at 30k miles or 2 years as per manufacturer and she only has 20,400 miles on her 2018 car. Trying to take advantage of females for u needed service? Maybe. Taking advantage of everyone for ridiculous marked up parts? Absolutely. Will not return. read more

Stay away ! They refuse to pass my car for a state inspection for 4 different things. I accepted the rejection sticker and paid a buddy to swap out the control arms at a much cheaper cost and he told me after replacement that there was nothing wrong with the old parts. In fact he returned them to me and they looked practically new. I had forgotten that this work had already been done to my car in the last year or so. They also told me it couldn't be aligned unless I replaced the tie rods. I was furious. I felt like they were just upselling me because I have an older model car. I took it to a different local Firestone and they were able to complete the alignment with no problem. These guys are crooks. I'll go back to Great Bridge Muffler and Brake on Cedar where the folks are honest. read more

We've been in desperate need of an auto care business in our neck of Chesapeake. I've taken my car in twice and each time I was extremely pleased. My husband got a flat on base. I was able to call and set up and appointment with a lot of ease. Carl was amazing and very understanding! They did a great job on my vehicle and made it very easy. My car tire was low again on a different tire, and I brought in my car first thing in the morning, and Rob helped me by doing a quick check of the tire before I went to work. They didn't find anything and he charged me nothing for the time it took to look. I highly recommend :). They do not do state inspections just yet, but after talking to Carl, they should be certified by the VA State Police soon (as of May 21) read more

I called yesterday to make a change oil for my car and lady said they able to get it changed before 4 so I drove 30 minutes to find out they r packed full. I didn't see lady but a man. He said he ll make an appointment for me at 2 pm next day. So I came in next day and guess what... that dude never make an appointment at all. Wtf. Total of 2 hours and half wasted driving. Never recommend at all. They never made a word like they claimed to. At end, you will be disappointed. read more

They got my car in quickly, but I never get a receipt from them. The work done was never done correctly. With in less than 2 weeks all spark plugs that were replaced started to go bad, motor mount went bad in a month. Asked for an oil change was charged for one, but never had an oil change done. read more

I would leave a "0" but it will not let me. Went to get my car inspected. Checked my car myself and do all my repairs. They failed me for wiper blades and a tail light. REALLY! They were ok when I dropped the car off. But for the nominal charge of $36 for blades and $16 for a bulb they would replace them for me. DON'T get your car inspected there. Picked the car up and made the repairs and then dropped my car off Friday night to be first in line. They did not get the re-inspection done before noon. STAY AWAY. read more
