I was there just the other day and I needed a diagnostic which cost $99. They told me I need new cables and terminals and battery. I know already that my battery is just fine because I tested it before I went in. So I told him to just replace the cables and terminals as they were rusty and old. He tried to convince me to get a new battery. But I stuck to it I knew that my battery is just fine thank you. So they did not replace my battery and charge me for that. When I came to pick up my car they did not have the print out of the diagnostic. I asked for one they said they don't give out the print outs they're just useless numbers. Every place I've ever had a diagnostic at gave me a print out because it shows me all the things that could be an are wrong with my car. But they insisted that that's not normal. Which I found shocking. That was a red flag for me but no you sitting there arguing because obviously he was gonna stick to that story. I paid my close to $300 and when I got home I found that only one cable had been replaced and the other one was still the same old rusty dirty broken down cable and terminals. I will not go back to that place ever again and I don't recommend them as they are dishonest. read more

I normally don't like to come large auto shops for oil change as there is a long wait or you have to leave your car there, and it cost more. I decided to bring my newly bought preowned truck for oil change as you never know when if ever the car dealer changed the oil. Firestone was the only shop that uses pennzoil brand fully synthetic oil near me. Pennzoil is rated much better than the cheaper synthetic oils that the franchise oil changing chains use. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 4x4, The manufacturer recommends using either Mopar oil or Pennzoil full synthetic. This five star rating is for Robert the service manager who worked on the morning of April 20, 2022. In a world where car dealers, large auto shop chains and franchises, their staff and service managers are forced to upsell, and in some incidences will lie about the service you need to meet their sales quota. Once at car dealer, the service manager said I needed a new battery for another vehicle without even checking it. I just bought a brand new battery a week before. In another incident, went to have oil change at a old franchise called Goodrich for another used vehicle purchase, service manager says I needed to have new hoses and belts, as they are worn and we'll break soon, $1,000. Found out later from the people we bought the vehicle from that those things were replaced recently and was brand-new. So, back to Robert. He went to my vehicle to get information for paperwork and came back in and said "Mr. Chou, are you sure you want to have an oil change right now? Your current oil is still good and shows on the dash display computer system that you still have 74% oil life left. The dealer you bought the vehicle from must've changed it." What a honest man. I did not know this truck had that for a diagnostic display. If this was anywhere else, they would've easily ignored it, reset the computer and change the oil anyway to get the money. I would not have known any better. Kudos to you Robert. I hope this Firestone places the same work ethic, honesty, and customer service upon all its employees. I will bring this truck back for the oil change and other services when it's time. read more

Took my car in with a flat as it was under road hazard warranty. Tech looked it over very well, punched it up in the system and said it would be $58 to replace the unrepairable tire with my warranty. They said they had to order it and I could bring the car back in a couple hours. When they were ready, 9 hours later, I sent my daughter-in-law down to have it installed. AFTER it was put on, they doubled the price. I asked to talk to the tech who gave me the quote, who said he made a mistake on how much wear he originally saw on the tire, (now that it is all done and only a 99lb girl there) while 3 men argued with her about paying more now. This place (and my experience says all Firestone Shops I've used) will lie and rip you off. Next time you get a quote from them, check a big box store. It will blow your mind! read more

Took my Interstate battery for testing since they are an Authorized Dealer. I didn't notice the time and they were 2 min from closing to where the cashier was counting out his drawer. Asked what I needed help with and I told him and he had the expression uhhh. lol Looked at the tech who was already in street clothes to see what he thought. He said I'll do it. I didn't catch the techs name but he had glasses and dreadlocks. Turns out my battery is good and just needs charging. The tech could have easily said sorry we are closed but instead went the extra mile. Appreciate his efforts and felt it needed to be recognized. We went there to get 4 NEW tires and ended up with the front 2 tires being defective. We went back to get it fixed but they refused to help us in any way claiming that it's not their problem anymore and we'd have to pay again, I don't know if it's a language barrier (english is my second language) or if the guy helping us (his name is james) just did not like us. I would not recommend for anyone to go here if english is not your first language. Very bad customer service. read more

My Wife had a blow out on her car, Had to have new wheel stud put on the car, There was a new associate at the store that mistakenly over charged us for the service, When I inquired about the cost,Brian the area manager contacted me and said he would reimburse me for what the price should have been. My check came in the mail 2 days later. Thank you Brian for being a man of your word, and for correcting the overcharge. Always 5 Stars. I got a low pressure warning on my new Honda CRV. I went there to get the air pressure checked. Only one tire was very low and i was little surprised. I have taken all of my vehicles to the Corona Firestone for over 15 years, almost always at 4pm, on my way home from work if I was just needing oil change, etc. Last week, I went online to request an appointment. After not hearing back, I called the store. I was advised at that time that they no longer take appointments after 1pm because they need to allow for difficult jobs and walk-ins inorder to get the guys out of there early. I mentioned that I would have to look for another place to take my vehicle. The person on the phone (regretfully, I do not recall his name), said, "ok then, have a nice day". So, the next day, I decided maybe we would try a different Firestone (we have and use our Firestone card for our vehicle needs). Before doing so, I wanted to find out if another store would be able to access my history. I called the Corona store several times, but never got anyone to answer the phone. I than went online to see of I could find out. I ended up chatting with a rep named Jason (very kind and responsive) When I asked my question and told why I needed to look for another shop, I was told that not accepting appointments after 1pm was against company policy and was told my concern would be forwarded to customer service. That afternoon, Robert, the store manager from Corona (also very kind and responsive), called to apologize that I was given that information, assuring it was NOT their policy. He invited me to come in the following day at 4pm for a complimentary oil change, to earn back my confidence. I accepted. The next day, last Thursday, I arrived at the Corona store. Benjamin was at the desk. I advised that I was there for a 4pm appointment. He seemed surprised. I told him that Robert had made me an appointment for a complimentary oil change due to a scheduling issue I had encountered. He found the appointment, but proceeded to tell me that Robert no longer worked for the company and had quit the previous evening. Adding that he had been inconviently called in from his vacation to cover that day. He took my keys and said they would do their best to have it ready by 5pm. I waited. The car was done just before 5 and he tells me I owe $30something. I reminded him that it was to be complimentary, but he said he didn't have any notes to that affect, so I would need to pay. He wouldn't allow me to use my Firestone card because I didn't have the card on me. I never do! He then told me that, for future, they would not take me after 3pm, and he walked away. He was rude and condescending, and basically indicated that I was a liar trying to avoid paying. I will NOT return to that store as long as he is there, and I will let everyone I know they should do the same! The Corona location has always been helpful. Today I went in and Jaime the store manager helped me over the phone right away and when I arrived. (Other auto businesses I've been ignored.) I've been taking my cars to the Corona location for 8 years, and the location by my work, and they are always professional. The Corona visit before today, my tire constantly needed air. I thought I was going to have to buy new tires. They checked it and said there was nothing wrong with my tire and sent me on my way no charge. After that I didn't need to add air again. Before that my fuel pump was replaced, good service. I will continue to bring my cars to Firestone and continue to recommend them to friends, co-workers and family. read more

I have a company work truck, so Firestone is where I go to get my truck serviced. Every time I have been here which has been 3 times in one month. I work on a construction site, so prone to nails or damage to my tires. Everytime I come here, they are straight shooters and get it done quick. I think the longest I had to wait was an hour. If I could only put a half a star I would. I went into Firestone on Friday to get my breaks done. They told me I "needed" all four of my rotors changed plus break pads. I asked how much each rotored was and with the price they gave me I felt like they were over charging me. Firestone wanted to charge me $695 for rotors and break pads. They also insisted that they needed to do all 4. I asked if they could only do two because I was on a budget. They were NOT WILLING TO WORK WITH ME AT ALL. So I called Pepboys (they are across the street) and they gave me a cheaper price. Turns out..... I was RIGHT!!! I only needed to replace two rotors. Pepboys also gave me $60 mail in rebate. I went in because i had a nail on my tire, the guy that helped me said i needed a whole new tire.. wanted me to get both rear tires replaced. And did not want to remove the nail and patch it. My wife and I have been long time customers of Firestone and have been vision this specific location for quite a few years. Last week my wife dropped her car off for an oil change and tire rotation with Jesse and they were able to get us our car by the promised time (and they were very busy). This morning I had to take my car in for an oil change and tire repair (had a screw in it). I also needed to get a quote for tires. I came in with an online quote from a competitor, which was quite a bit better than their online price. Josh not only matched but beat their price substantially. The reps have always treated me well and fair. They don't pressure me into buying things I don't need. And are honest on the timeline when I should expect my car. I totally recommend visiting this location in particular. I know talking to mechanics is not the best experience and you never know if you can trust them, but these guys have always been honest with me. I know enough about cars to know if someone is blowing smoke and I have never had even one experience like that at Firestone. read more

DONT COME HERE. My family had been comin here for a few years and we have 5 cars that get serviced here. Recently tho they have been extremely shady. I came in the first week of December cuz my car was making a weird noise and I needed new tires and new shocks. That set me back about 1300. Then a few weeks go by and my car is still making a noise and I bring it back and now they say my breaks are so bad they've gone into my Roters and I need those replaced now too. There is absolutely no way my breaks went to complete crap in a few weeks. They were just scamming to get more work done. They did the same thing to my dads car. UPDATING my review as Matt and Carlos did their best to right their wrong from below. After pulling my car in, Carlos did a good job getting my oil change and full inspection done in a timely but thorough manner. If I came back to this location it would only be with Carlos as my mechanic. Matt also did his part and applied a discount for the inconvenience so though it was still an annoying situation (described below) they did what they could to make the situation less terrible. Original review: My first visit here was great so I decided to come back for my next oil change expecting nothing less. I came in for my 10am appointment, the guy at the desk (Matt) let me know I could pick my car up in 90 minutes. Great, worked perfectly with what I had going on that day. I got dropped off back at Firestone at noon (2hrs/over 90 mins later) and they hadn't even started on my car! My car sat in the parking lot for 2 hours and they did nothing to it! The same guy that helped me when I came in tried to tell me they could pull it in now and it'd be done in 30mins but wtf was my car sitting for 2 hours for with plenty of mechanics just standing around and 3 open slots in the shop. What a joke! I'm very disappointed as my first visit here was great and now I don't think I'll be coming back to this location. Both my mom and sister were planning to come here for their next maintenance but I'll be sure to tell them not to after this experience. read more

I came in on Monday and made an appointment for 1 pm Tuesday . I drop my car off at 12:45 pm and take a walk I walk to lunch and get back at 130 pm and my car has not moved. They haven't even touched my car. 45 minutes . 30 minutes after my appointment. They say there were cars in front of me . WTH is an appointment for? Update: My son gave them a chance and they have now messed up his brakes and claiming it now has other issues after they messed up the brakes! He's now having issues he didn't have prior to them working on his brakes today 10/18/21! It's not safe to drive according to their mechanic and my son who couldn't leave the parking lot with brakes that have to go to the floor to brake! It's being left there overnight because its been there from open to past closing. His back brakes cost over $400. I'm reading other reviews where they mess things up, charge more, and take no responsibility! Some of their other locations have even worse reviews than this one! Hard enough to trust mechanics these days and covid has made it even worse with being overcharged on everything! They should be ashamed for their dishonesty! Contact me if you're interested in getting enough of us to file against them. Also he did have work done on it 9 months ago because he didn't know where else to go and they made things worse after charging over $500! They said it was his car prior to him bringing it in but he didn't have the new issues prior to them working on it.
