Only best part about this place is that they offer Lifetime Alignment. I get my truck aligned every month and I hear the same pitch. They pitch the recommended service which I understand is part of their job. Last time I came, I changed my spark plugs, the oil and transmission fluid the night before. I dropped the truck the next day and I get a call from the service advisor, not the mechanic, saying that my spark plugs are corroded and I'm in desperate need of an oil change. very slow service! They do decent work however, no matter the time you come in even if it's early in the morning or later in the day it's a 3 hour wait at all times. I see why all the bad reviews. Went in for a oil change on my day off, got there right before 10 am and I did not see anyone there on the lobby, and about 2 cars on the garage, they advised me it would be a 3 hour wait WTF! Who has 3 hours for a oil change, went down the street they had me out in 35 minutes. Been here two times for oil changes and both times had a problem. First time dropped off truck in am for oil change and tire rotation. Came later to pick up in pm and tires weren't rotated and I was charged. Had to wait 30 minutes for them to finish. What was the point of dropping my car off. I gave them a second chance. Another oil change on a different vehicle which I dropped off again. When I came to pick up there was more oil on my leather seats and carpet than in the engine. The customer service lady viewed this as it was my fault? Like I brought it there that way. Also, they were unable to reset my change oil light. I had to go online to reset it myself and pay additional money to have my car interior detailed. Thanks but no thanks. I will go elsewhere. Marcio is trustworthy and very informative. Came in on Black Friday to take advantage of the Black Friday oil change but Marcio informed me that the entire day is booked but he would schedule me for another day and still honor the promotion! Returned during the weekday and he kept his word. Marcio Informed me that my car actually uses synthetic oil and not the regular oil included in the promotion as well as the free wiper blades were not in stock since my car was too new so he gave me a discount with the synthetic oil. Marcio did not made me feel helpless or try to sell me things I did not need. That kind of honesty and service from an automotive shop is very highly appreciated. Thanks Marcio! read more

Casually driving into Downey from Pico Rivera at 6:30 pm and noticed my dash tire light illuminated. Googled the nearest tire place still open and arrived here. All the bay doors were occupied and employees were busy on vehicles. I walk into a tidy and air conditioned lobby with the World Series on tv and free coffee for visitors. I am immediately greeted by a gentlemen as to how they can help me. I advised him of my situation and he said they close soon but instructed me to pull into one of the garage doors and I would be helped. A different friendly worker greeted me and checked my tire pressure and explained that one of tires had the incorrect psi and he sent me on my way... all in all great customer service and free to boot! I brought in the ad for the specific tire listed in the ad, then they gave me a cheaper set of tires and lied and told me they gave me a more expensive set of tires...Im embarrassed to say, i got ripped off big time. The put up a fight, but i made them put the tires i paid for on the car...they were not happy about that. Stay clear of Firestone in Downey. The one in Alhambra is a tad more honest. read more

I came in here and bought a set of tires for a reasonable price. I was attended by Ernie, great customer service! It did take a little too long but it's just because of the lug nuts in one of my tires, it needed replacing. Overall I was very satisfied with the full service transaction! I've been contemplating on coming to this place in the past to get my car serviced but was kinda turned off by the mixed reviews. Finally I was convinced by my brother in law to give them a shot. My appointment was at 9:30 AM today, I arrived right on time but had to wait 15 minutes to be helped since there was only one associate checking customers in and out. I'm a pretty patient person, so it wasn't a big deal. Once I was finally called to the front desk, I was helped/greeted by Priscilla. She was very pleasant, and attentive to my concerns, I really appreciated her over all demeanor. I was told my wait time would be 2 hours at the minimum, I had a visual inspection performed, as well as a coolant flush. 5 hours later my car was finally done, and ready for pick up. It did take longer than I thought but I honestly rather them take there time and do the job right, versus them rush, and do a half ass job. All in all I am very pleased with my experience, and am only giving them 4 stars instead of 5 for the wait time. Very pleasant staff, very reasonable prices. I think this will be my new home for general car repairs! read more

When i called in to make my appointment, i talked to a very nice man who recommended a diagnostics test and alignment check before committing to an alignment along with an oil change. I made an appointment for 3:30, they said it would take 3 hours to do an oil change and alignment check and diagnostics check. I was fine with it since I was in walking distance from my house. When I went in, the lady said about 3 hours, and that she would call me when it was ready. I walked home...then never got a call so I went back when they were about to close and my car was sitting in the same spot. I went in and the girl was first nowhere to be seen. Took about 5 minutes for her to show up. She then told me they had been swamped and hadn't gotten to it yet, and that they would be pulling it in to do it any minute. So I wasted 3 and a half hours while my car sat in the parking lot and then would have to wait there while they did the services. I told them I wanted to cancel it then. I was dumbfounded. Why make appointments? The lady gave me a free oil change when I come back. And in my head I was like "there is no way you guys are touching my car now." I will never set foot in this shop ever again. Sad too, I was going to have them as my main shop because they are so close. But not now. read more

Just a waste of my time!! I made an appointment 3 days in advance. To come in on Saturday, 5/18/2019. @ 12pm. I arrived at 11:45 AM. For oil change & tire rotation. Was told my car will be done by 2:30 PM. Decided to go for a walk at the mall. returned back one hour later to find my car still sitting in parking lot & my car was unlock. Didn't say anything at 1st. So I waited in the empty lobby...another hour went by. Still NO service was done to my car. By 2:20 PM. I ask them to return my car key if no service was not going to be done by 2:30PM. So they did return my car key & offered me a free oil change. When I come by next time. Sorry I didn't want a free oil change. All I wanted was my car to be service. At the time that I was told & be done right 1st time. when I made my appointment 3 days in advance. Maybe they shouldn't be offering appointments if they can not guarantee work to be done on time. always booking more cars.. they can't even handle. NEVER AGAIN. will I be returning. Had my car towed here as it wouldn't start. Charged me $135 for diagnostic but they couldn't diagnose the problem because it turned out the car was in antitheft mode and all the computer codes were erased. I can only say that because I ended up towing the car elsewhere. These so called mechanics don't know a thing about cars obviously. I guess unless you need tires don't go to this facility. I went Yesterday after I call them to change my tires in my Dodge Dually truck and this guys give me all the hope I can get I drove all the way from LAX to Downey and when I show up they give me all kind off excuses and bumps to change my tires. I clearly explained to the store manager that my truck was a 3500 Dodge Dually and it was heavy I show up and everything went down hill for me after they just won't help me out and that easy the lost a client the they show they didn't care about the Company Reputation and the Clients the we do business with them I will give them a Big 0 but the application won't let Am really disappointing about this experience and the time the I lost and the treatment the I got on the store if you can do the job don't promise over the phone and you clients should be treated with honesty and respect and they should have the equipment to supply better service to there clients we need solutions not lies read more

My coworker and I were on our way back from Dan Diego to Northern California (6+ hr drive left to go) and got a screw in our tire with air leaking. We were able to stave off the complete flat by inflating the tire at the gas station and screwing in the screw further to create a better seal. I called this business at 6:18pm upon noticing the screw, and explained our situation. It should be noted that we were about a 4 minute drive from this business, and had non-common size firestone tires on our vehicle that weren't sold in any other stores currently open at that time. The male employee explained that he and another technician were the only ones there, due to close at 7pm, and had another car yet to do. He told me that he had a tire in stock, however would not help us tonight, and to check back in the morning. I made every attempt to ask him to put himself in our shoes, as we would be stranded without his help and unsure of how long our temporary fix would last, and he again told me he would turn us away should we arrive (even before closing time) due to likely closing before they'd be done replacing our tire. I was blown away by this, and asked to speak to the manager. He denied my request and said I could call back in the morning to see if the manager would be there, and then put me on hold for 7+ minutes, and never returned. This is the absolute worst customer service I've ever received in my life, and would not want anyone else to suffer the same fate. This employee needs to be fired. We luckily called the Firestone Complete Auto Care at 837 main st in Alhambra , and spoke to the manager Art. He gladly waited for us past closing time and fixed our tire within 10 minutes. read more

I wish I could give it no stars but oh well. I took in my car today for an oil change new sparkplug replacement, Caibin and air filter, brake check, battery check, transmission fluid change, and brake fluid change. I dropped it off this morning at 830 am with an appointment and didn't get my car back until 430pm. I also had to call them to see of my car was ready. I asked why it took so long and the employee said "well you had a quite a bit of work done" then he preceeded to give me the estimated amount of time everything would take and then he stopped probably realizing that his times were not making sense. Then he said one person dedicated all of his time to my car and they didn't push other people in front of me. Please we all know Firestone doesn't dedicate one person to a car. I expected it to take long but that was a bit ridiculous and then they don't even offer any discount or anything. I had to even ask for the discount on the oil change they didn't even inform me. One thing I hate about this place is they think just because I'm a woman that they can take advantage. The time before they told me I needed brakes funny how when I ask for a brake check they didn't inform me I needed brakes this time. It is safe to say I am never ever going back to Firestone I am going to pay a little more and go to the dealer at least they wash my car....never take your car to Firestone! Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!! Took car for a alignment check since I had new tires installed. The alignment was almost perfect since I had to do it myself the last time I was there. Long story took truck in for an alignment. The person didn't know how to align it left steering wheel upside down!!!! So since I in the past was a ASE certified mechanic knew how to do it.. the person there was trying to sell me a gear box for like 1200 bucks!! LOL!!! So to my most recent experience the alignment was fine. But the person there was having trouble adjusting rear brakes, parking brake. That was understandable. I was very bothered since there priority of my vehicle didn't matter. I paid them left it over night wasn't ready when promised. I had to go back two more times and was again forced to wait 3 hours each time horrible customer service. Really for a brake adjustment that should take no more than 30 minutes. Was their mistake why the hell make me wait again. They need to test drive the vehicles before releasing them. These people are asking for tragedy to happen. read more

I'm still in awe of the excellent service we've recieved at Firestone Complete Auto Care. Usually, having an unexpected auto emergency takes an entire day to solve, and a fortune to fix. However, walking into Firestone, our auto emergency was efficiently and effectively taken care of. In less than 30 minutes, an expert auto mechanic, Joel, identified our car's problem, worked with us personally to find a reasonable and affordable solution, and repaired our car. I never imagined having an unexpected auto emergency could ever end up being a positive experience. But thanks to Joel and the friendly, informed staff at Firestone Complete Auto Care, I now know where to go whenever I'm having car troubles. I have taken my car to firestone a few times out of pure convenience for oil changes on the weekends. Every time I leave my car I am told my car needs a ridiculous amount of work. One time they tried to overcharge me for a cabin filter replacement my husband did it himself and the next time I took my car they again recommended a cabin filter change my husband told them he had changed it previously and they admitted that they didn't check it and just went based off notes from the last time I took my car. This very last time I took my car i got a call that both the left and right front axels needed to be replaced and it would cost $1300 what they didn't know was that I recently had my left axel replaced I asked them to lift the car and show me where the axels were leaking and sure enough only the right was leaking. I took it to another mechanic and he told me only the right needed to be replaced and did it for a lot less. I will not be taking my car back there ever again this place is not trust worthy and they just look for any opportunity to take advantage of people. read more

Seriously! I have a rental truck that i keep for about three months at a time and am requested to get the oil changed from time to time. Firestone is the vendor they use.I arrived at the store and waited for about 15 mins to be helped. That's to be expected and also tolerable. My truck sat in the parking lot for an hour and a half and i sat in the waiting area. Two hours and fifteen mins later my car finally goes in the bay for service. 45 mins later i see it get pulled out and parked. I waited an additional 15 mins for my name to be called, still nothing until i asked if it was done. I asked if they have ever had a return customer they said of course, i just grabbed my keys and headed to the truck. As i go to get in the driver side door handle is covered in oil! You know what they say three strikes and you're out. I am a field inspector and drive all over Southern California. I come here to Firestone because it's recommended by my company but I have to say I've had three bad experiences at this location alone. They have a serious problem with customer service and quality of work. In the past I've had to return a week later because the "brand new" brakes they installed were grinding and my vehicle shaking when I apply them. Today they told me it would be an hour and a half for an oil and filter change, tire rotation, and alignment. I had an appointment and I noticed that they didn't even start working on my vehicle for 45 minutes. After being there almost 3 hours and no one saying a word to me to update me on my vehicle, I started walking around and looking through the window to see what was taking so long. They finally noticed me and told me it was done, but I could see the mechanic still working on it. I waited for them to offer some kind of apology or explanation for the delay, but nothing. I can understand things taking a little longer than expec I hate writing this review but I wish someone informed me or just helped me understand. I have to say Firestone has just lost another customer that require service on his vehicle on a quarterly basis the mechanic who did the work didn't even properly install Hubcap Which flew off by the time of that home not cool. read more

The service guy tried to make up a lame convoluted excuse to jack up the price. It was obvious he did not know what he was talking about he just wanted to charge more. I went to firestone for a brake inspection because my breaks made a funny noise. And i went into there knowing that i would need to repair them. However one of the machines called me to inform me that my radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced. I knew that already but i was waiting to repair that for a later date. My primary concern was my breaks. I let him know this but he proceeded to tell me that nothing was wrong with my breaks. Which was not true, my breaks sounded and felt terrible. He kept trying to push me to sign up for a credit card and completely ignored my request for my break inspection. Stressing me the importance of my radiator ( which i know is very important as well, i just couldn't afford it at the time.) I declined move forward with any repairs. I stressed to him that i knew something was wrong with my breaks. He said he would check again and give me a call back. When he did he said that all of my breaks and rotors needed to be replaced. I felt like this was untrue and was another push to apply for a credit card. But i had no choice as i use my car for work a lot. I went forward with the repair of my breaks but i still felt like i was lied to and just wanted to get another sale out of me and push for a credit card. It's sad because i honestly just wanted to go in and trust Firestone but i left feeling played because of the extent i had to push for my breaks to get the attention they needed when at first they said i didn't need them at all. read more

Horrible customer service, they do not provide the correct estimate time when things will be done. I had an appointment at 12 noon, I came early to get my breaks checked, they said in a hour it should be done, I went to the mall across the street. 2pm I came back and my car was not even looked at. When I asked what happen they told me they were waiting for the ramp to open up, but yet I notice other cars that came after mine were being worked on. Right after I provide my concern all of a sudden a ramp became open and they took my car to be worked on. No apologizes no acknowledgment, nothing. After they provided my price and told me they wouldn't be able to do it until Monday, so I decide that's fine. They put my car back together and except of letting me know my car was ready it was just parked there. No body said anything I had to tell them why has no one mention my car was ready. I'm so glad that they said my parts won't be ready until Monday because now I will not be coming back! I would not recommend this place. read more

I recently bought a new Subaru from Carmax and within two month I had a nail in the rear passenger side. I almost took my car to any cheap tire shop but I didn't want to get taken as a fool (when girls gets ripped off). So I found this Firestone place near my home. My tire brand is Firestone so I felt it was the perfect place. The employees were so friendly and I didn't have an appointment. It probably took an hour or so but this company was so honest. They checked all 4 tires and even adjusted my tire pressure. I would definitely recommend this company for any car service. It's worth the time. If people are concerned with how much time they spend waiting then she should consider going to the other tire shops. I will definitely come back for my tune up. read more

I was fired from this store a month ago for being non productive after working there a little over a month. It was completely unfair because it was so slow(with good reason). The upper management never really knew the shady things that went on within that store in Downey especially Michael Broderick who was the area supervisor who was too busy on his cell phone most of the time ...the store manager Luis was such a snake... he treated me like an idiot and called me a "Pendejo" and "Huevon" when I was on my lunch break! It was the worst place I have ever worked! Mostly all the mechanics(including me) were paid vary low salary's and most with little or no experience... firestone only cares about its bottom line like Wal-Mart...I'm talking $9 to $12 dollars per hour...I think in&out pays more and was such a let down when I got my check for the first time :/ The pressure was so intense, because Luis was such a slave driver.. its was so bad that some mechanics made mistakes and damaged customer cars because they rush from Luis's pressure to get the car out ...one of the mechanics left the drivers side door wide open while on the lift...the swing arm literally caught and bent the door while lifting the vehicle... it was a white Honda odyssey ...I seen Luis try to bend the bottom of the door back with a block of wood and a hammer and used white out over the chipped paint and told the mechanic to park the car near the bushes so she (the customer) wound not notice...so think about that next time he shakes your hand and smiles. Another scraped the side of a truck coming in the bay too fast...which was also white and wouldn't you know it he used white out to cover the scrape...we jokingly called it 'doing a Luis'. Most of the bad reviews pale in comparison to what its like being an insider in that store. I just want to warn honest paying customers.. please don't take your car there they may damage it. read more
