I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. When I dropped off my car, the guy told me they may not be able to do the tire rotation since my tread was so low. Totally fine. When I came to pick up my car later, they of course had a whole list of things they were trying to up-sell me on, the two main ones being tires and a new air filter. The quote for the tires was for 4 (I only needed 3 as I just replaced one 5 months ago when I got a flat) and was quoted at $870! I know I don't know much about cars but I KNOW that tires for my car run about $110 a piece. So off to Discount Tire I went and walked out paying $330. Fast forward a few days and while topping off some fluids I notice the lid to my air filter was never snapped back on and only resting on top. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! Do NOT take your vehicle to this establishment. I went here for a simple oil change, and it was a disaster. First of all, I dropped the car off at 7:15 AM and didn't get it back until nearly 3 PM. Secondly, they pulled a bait and switch with the oil, insisting that my common sedan required synthetic oil - $46 dollars later! This is more than the dealer charges people! To add insult to injury, they told me my battery was bad. I took it over to O'Reilly's for a check, and it was just fine. I wasted my whole afternoon on this. This place clearly has a culture of taking advantage of customers, and their idea of service is pathetic. Save yourself the money and headache, and go somewhere else. read more

Very disappointed in the service.. this place just lost a loyal customer. I called ahead and made an appointment to have my oil changed at 3 pm. I received at call at 3 20 suggesting i get my front tires replaced with a quote for tires that were not the same as what i currently have on the vehicle. The quote was for 450 for two front tires installed. I declined and advised the service tech i was not comfortable and would need to research the price and type of tires. I was reminded that they close at 5pm and they would go ahead and do the oil change. I occupied my children and walked around the nearby shopping center for two hours. Our last stop was to grab a bite to eat and i rushed my kids to ensure we were back at 5pm. We arrived at 4 55 pm and when i thought they were pulling my vehicle up for me.. the tech looked at me and said oh were just pulling it in now it will just take a few minutes we got tied up with another vehicle. It would have been appropriate and very much appreciated if they called to let me know they were running behind and given me the option to wait or reschedule. I let them know i was not happy and could nit wait any longer with 2 7 year olds.. i would have to come back. The tech said okay what time works for you tomorrow?!!!! Um.. i will not be returning tomorrow or ever. I kept calm and told him i would give them a call. I understand delays happen however this disregard for a customers time is unacceptable. read more

Man they try to cheat you at every turn. Tried to charge me 14$ for a quart of oil that cost 5$. Make sure you check on line since they match prices and don't trust them. I must fill you in on a Little back story before I tell you about my experience with Fletcher's Tire and Auto... A month or so ago, I had to get a mobile locksmith to come to me because my car wasn't starting with the key I had. While the mobile locksmith was making the key, I had an emergency call and had to leave right away. He didn't finish the key, but I put the key he was in the process of making in my car...forgetting all about it. Forward to today... I dropped my car off at Fletchers because something was going on with it and smoke was coming out of my engine. They called me the next day to tell me that it was gonna cost me $550.00. Thinking that we should get a second opinion, the hubby and I went down to pick up the car. When we pulled up, we noticed that the car was in the same exact parking spot that we had left it in when we dropped it off, but didnt really think too much of it at that time. We told them that we were gonna take our car and get a second opinion... they gave us our key back and we were on our way. We tried starting our car with the key we left for them and it wouldn't start. We used the master key and it started right up. ( I had given them the key that the locksmith made for me, not knowing it wouldn't start my car. ) When we got home, I called Fletcher's back and asked them if they had any problems starting my car up ( damn well knowing they couldn't start my car! ) and his response was..." nope, it started right up. Didn't have a problem with it at all." how could that be when the key we had given them didn't start my car at all?!!! Knowing that they were dishonest, we knew we weren't taking the car back there for the repairs it needed. Long story short, We ended up having it fixed for $108.00 AND FLETCHER'S WASN'T EVEN CORRECT WITH THEIR DIAGNOSIS!!!!!! It turned out it was something totally different AND WAY CHEAPER!!!!! What they said was wrong with my car wasn't what it was AT ALL!!!!! I will NEVER take my car back there again. I need to trust the people that work on my car! read more

Years ago I purchased a lifetime oil change. Every time I go there & get my free oil change I receive lousy service. Took my car in before 11 am & it's past 5 pm & my oil change is not even done. Everytime I go here to get my oil changed its just a rough experience. Stood at the front desk waiting for assistance for about five minutes while the employees were arguing in front of me, with no acknowledgment. It took four and a half hours to get my oil changed. PLEASE READ...I bought my 2008 Ford Fusion with 30,000 miles, since then it has only been serviced by my long time trusted mechanic. My mechanic was out of town for a while & I needed an oil change before a road trip. I went to Fletcher's cause its near my house, my car was running perfectly going in. I got an oil change & an attached list of needed repairs totaling $1400(new front & rear brake pads, CV Boot completely damaged, etc...) when I picked it up the car drove perfect for the next 3 month. Took it to my mechanic today for an oil change and safety check, only service needed was the oil. Fletcher's is disgustingly dishonest, the worst quality when using a mechanic or looking for one. Absolute rip off, have had multiple friends and co-workers get ripped off at this mechanic. Co worker had a hole in her gas tank, they quoted her over 600$ because they said it was a specialty part, in a Toyota Corolla! Had her call a nearby mechanic and they quoted her $300. When she called Fletcher's back they dropped the price to match the other quote. She still had her car fixed since it was already there, but I wouldn't trust these people as far as I could throw them! read more

We have been going to this place for years. In years past I would have given them four stars. But last year I had my wiper blades replaced and came back to a fully shattered windshield to which they denied any knowledge. Then, this weekend, we had a tire that we bought from them last year explode as we were driving up 67th Ave. We took the tire back to them and asked if it is covered by warranty. The guy looked our record up on their computer and informed us that we had not bought some sort of additional coverage on the tire and that we would have to pay full price ($140) to get it replaced. We had no choice but to get it replaced even if we had to pay full price. For whatever reason it was going to take them all day to replace the tire, so we left it there. When we went home we looked up the BF Goodrich warranty online and found that our tire was covered in full by it. I went back in and spoke with the same guy (I assume the manager) and asked why we were being charged full price for the tire. He snipped back and said I "did not disclose that we had bought the tire from Fletchers", yet he was the one who looked our record up in the system. In the end the warranty did pay for the replacement. But, charging a customer for a tire that is covered by warranty? If they had ended up charging me the full price I would hope they would not have also got reimbursed by BF Goodrich. Beware of this place because something is fishy! read more

This Fletcher's is the closest to my house and thus far, I have had to have 4 oil changes. I cannot express the frustration of showing up at 6:15am to be first in line and STILL have the car only back after 2 hours. Dave is rude and will ignore you. Unfortunately, the manager Robert Barnett will take no action should you have a complaint. I have never experienced such lousy service and I will send a formal complaint to corporate. I will never cone back here, instead I would rather drive 5 miles to another shop. read more

This is undoubtedly the absolutely worst place to take a car. If you have a Groupon or other such offers they will make you wait an entire day for a oil change! I was in there today and was told it would be 2 hours. I came back in 2 hours, the oil change bay was open, the "mechanics" were standing around talking and I was told there were 3 ahead of me! I took my car there for a check up, I was told I needed to change a gasket in the engine and it would be $1,485. I took the car to Accurate Diagnostics and was give a price of $325. This place deserves every one star rating they've received I'm sure. My husband bought a beater because he drives to Winslow a lot for work and we were tired of him taking the big dodge truck there and back all the time. When we took it to Fletcher's for an alignment they told us the whole front axel and everything to do with it was trashed and they couldn't give it an alignment. When asked if it needed new tires (which I knew it did) they told me those were in great shape. They had dry rot and two were manufactured in 2002. They hardly looked at the car.... Here's some education for people hiring mechanics, shops charge a flat rate. Which means whether the job will take 30 minutes or two hours they charge the same. They figure their price off the average amount of time it will take to do the repair. So if your car may take too long for their liking they will make something up not to do it. Anyways I took it down to the Air Force base and let the boys down there work their magic. Where they were impressed by it's condition given it is "beater". They put new tires on it and even gave it an alignment with NO problems. They did say it really needed the alignment and it took longer than normal. It also needed $16 bushings (the only problem they could ascertain that had to do with the front axel). So in short what the guy at Fletcher's told me was impossible to do and what he told me would cost $1,000 to $2,000 to fix....cost me under $300 elsewhere and for under the grand his low ball estimate was I even got a new set of tires for the car. Skip on this place it's a nightmare and they don't deserve to be in business not because they don't want the cars that are actual work but because they flat out lie to your face about it. read more

I took my car in for an oil change on a Monday, but the workers said they were busy and I should make an appointment. The person behind the counter said they were running a special on synthetic oil changes for $49.95. So, I returned for my appointment on a Wednesday at noon and my car was finished a bit after 1:00. I was unhappy that it took them over an hour for an oil change when I had an appointment. The price for the oil change that was advertised to me for $49.95 suddenly jumped to $62.09. When I questioned the people behind the register they pointed out the wast oil disposal fee fro $3.50, shop supplies for $4.00, and of course tax. How is this not deceptive advertising and how are they getting away with this? The store manager was apathetic when I explained to him the problem with the deceptive advertising. His response was that he didn't make the rules and he is only following what corporate set for the store. I certainly will not be returning until they practice fair advertising and work a lot quicker. read more

Do not take your vehicle to this shop!!! They can even do a simple alignment. Took my truck in for a alignment check and it came out with a hard pull to left and steering wheel cocked way to right. They tried to tell me it needed almost 300 in parts to fix. I took my vehicle to a reputable shop where completed alignment for 50 bucks and told me Firestone left all suspension bolts very loose!! These guys are scumbags who put my safety at risk because they don't know what they are doing or to try and scam me out of money for unnecessary work. Either way unacceptable!!! Typical scumbag shop. Terrible reviews for good reason. Needed a new battery, took my car in. They wanted to charge me 400 for a new one. This is for a Ford Explorer, not a Rolls Royce. After telling them they they're crazy for trying to charge that much for a battery and I'd just do it myself, suddenly they were able to drop over 150 dollars from the price. Tells me they were obviously just price gouging as much as they could. Customer service was also miserable. If they're going to F you, the least they can do is be polite and look you in the eye. read more

This has to be the worst tire and automotive store I have ever been to in over 40 years. They were dishonest about their evaluation of my vehicle. They sold me two expensive tires telling me that it would improve the road noise on my 2013 honda accord. They failed to even perform an alignment check which they say they offer for free. When the road noise did not go away but got worse, I returned to the store to have them look at it. They told me I need an additional two tires, which was far from the truth. They still had over 10,000 miles on them. Then they also tell me I needed new struts and an alignment for the price of $1,139. I asked him why they did not tell me that when they sold me two tires less than two months ago. Keep in mind the car was not driven over 100 miles from when I brought it in the first time. He looked at me and said I don't know. Not only was the dishonesty a great concern for not only me but any customer who does not know any better, or what to look for. Shame on this company for trying to take advantage of customers. The last straw was them telling me they would call me when the car was ready to be picked up. I waited until 10 minutes before the store closed with still no call. I drive up to the store to find the car ready and simply waiting with still no call. If you value your money, the safety and performance of your car do not go to this location. Now, keep in mind that I don't know if this poor business practice is done at all their locations, but it certainly does occur at this one. I will never get over asking these hard questions to the store about why services were not performed and why they try to up-sell services and tires you don't need. SHAME. read more

I should have looked at the reviews here before I brought my vehicle here. Bad bad service. So they do my brakes. $936. What!!! Yes my mistake for having them do them but couldn't exactly go anywhere else. Also AC was out. They told me nothing was wrong. Oh ok. So it worked for like half a day and went out again. Told me the cabin filter needed replacing. I checked it. Barely dirty but hey I replaced it for $9.99 compared to their $73.99 suggested charge. Oh and the AC they said that was working was a blower motor that I actually fixed myself. $115 and they probably would have charged me $1k. They said my oil change was over due. That's impossible since it was done at another Firestone fairly recently. They were looking at the old sticker that was from an older oil change from 1/19. Guess they couldn't look at the year correctly. I will never take my car to any Firestone. Suggested repairs they want $610. Nope they won't get another cent of mine. This place is ridiculous!!!!! I have been working on vehicles for 15 years but I can't do it all with my busy schedule. I had my wife bring in her car to have an alignment done and these guys estimated an additional $2200 worth of work that needs to be done. B.S. I then sent her back in there to get her car and the guy at the front counter said the estimate is $45 which I had no problem paying. Then he asked her to go get cash for the estimate?? (Fishy) So I decided to call and ask how much an inspection costs and the district manager was randomly there and said that inspections are free!!! They see a pretty girl come in and take full advantage!!! If you plan on using this scammer company make sure you have a knowledgable person with you. I will never use this place again and am getting another estimate somewhere else. On Saturday November 24th, 2012, we visited our neighborhood Fletcher's Tire & Auto Services located at 6515 West Happy Valley Road, Glendale, AZ 85310. We had a nail in our tire and we were told it would take about 4.5 hours to fix. Almost 5 hours later, we received a call informing us they could not repair the tire and would have to wait until Monday to replace it. They were about two hours from closing and it was too late in the day to order the correct tire and they were closed on Sunday. We expressed our disappointment with stranding us for an entire holiday weekend with two infants and wasting our time. When we picked up our vehicle and we were told not to come back and I responded and said "What would make you think we would ever want to come back". After all of that, we had to make another trip back Fletcher's Tire & Auto Services to collect our flat tire they forgot to put back on our vehicle. Then we visited the local Discount Tire at 5990 West Behrend Drive, Glendale, AZ 85308 and they had us in/out with a brand new tire in 30 minutes. We called the Fletcher's Tire & Auto Services located at 4915 East Carefree Highway Phoenix, AZ on the same Saturday and requested the District Manager Eric Stewart to contact us. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response from the District Manager! Unfortunately, after speaking with neighbors in our Arrowhead Community we were informed this Fletcher's Tire & Auto Services located at 6515 West Happy Valley Road, Glendale, AZ 85310 already had a poor reputation in our community. read more

I CANNOT stand Fletchers. If I had any other choice closer to me, I'd choose them. I have gone here for about ten years now and they are ALWAYS rude, lazy and extremely slow. I never thought to write a review, until I got to talking with a lady in Cabin Coffee who also cannot stand them or their service, so she wrote a review on here. They are unfriendly, and crude. I overheard them talking to a young girl... who I do not even believe was of age, and she was expressing that she had already paid for her oil change and the man said there was nothing showing that she did so. She insisted that she already did so and no longer had the money for it. So he said to her WHILE WINKING "Well I can think of other forms of payment" I am extremely appalled. I wish there were a zero stars to give. I had been to this location a couple of times and had ok service, it wasn't exceptional but it was close to my house. After a recent visit, they came up with needing a new fuel filter. I didn't have time and would come back. A few days later, I called to see how long the wait was and told the guy what I needed done. He said come on down, it'll be a couple of hours. I dropped it off and had a friend pick me up and we went for lunch and a movie and I even visited with her at her house, that was about a time frame of 4 hours. I had my friend drop me back off, I figured it would be done by now or almost finished. I should have known it was not a good sign when I saw my car still parked in the same spot where I left it. I went in and waited for someone to help me. I understand they are a busy shop, but at least acknowledge the customer by saying I will be right with you. I was told they had not even gotten to my car yet. I reminded him that I had dropped it off 4 hours earlier at which time he had told me a couple of hours. If you can't deliver on a promise or at least come close to it, don't say it. You'll just end up with angry customers. Mike, I think he was a mechanic, he had come into the shop for some paperwork and proceeded to tell me about a lady whose car had been in the shop for a week. WHAT?! You are actually proud of that fact? You should be embarrassed that you can't fix their car within a day or two. I sat in the waiting area for another 2 hours before my car was done. I was considerable upset. The person who rang me up gave me a free oil change coupon. That did nothing to satisfy my anger. What good is a free oil change if i have to wait all day. At this point, I do not want to ever come back into your shop and have not. I've gone to another Fletcher's and have had exceptional service there. I've decided to take all my vehicles into a smaller shop where you can make an appointment and feel like you are getting personal service. read more

I didn't have my car serviced here but I did buy new wiper blades. My left blade finally fell off and the metal was scraping the windshield so I went to the closest place to my house. I walked in and saw a rack of blades thinking I was going to have to spend more than a couple of minutes to determine which size fit my car. The guy behind the counter offered to help. He asked me which car in the parking lot was mine, grabbed the wiper blades off the rack, RAN out to my car, sized it up, removed the old ones, snapped on the new ones and RAN back into the store. I was watching from inside in amazement. I paid for the blades and was back on the road in minutes. AMAZING. I wish all customer service was as good as he was that day. I also wish I could remember the guys' name - he's my hero. Haha! read more

Brought our Chevy diesel in for an oil change. The tech tried to get us to replace the serpentine belt and air filter showed us the air filter it was fine. We requested neither service. After service the truck was driven within the recommended miles for the vehicle 6000 miles. Time for next oil change used Jiffy Lube on 61st and Bell Rd. While waiting for the oil change the tech had my husband come look at the air filter. He showed him how it had been replaced backward sucking dirt into the engine. The Fletcher Tire tech had put in in backward. This caused undue wear on the engine. Also our serpentine belt was still fine. We had the filter replaced correctly and took the old one to Fletcher Tire. The manager looked up our previous service and said nothing other than they would talk to the tech who had serviced our truck. No concern or remediation. We feel that two things took place they wanted to sell us parts that we did not need and after we said no thank you they put the filter in backward to be nasty. Of course we had no idea what happened for 6000 miles. We will be monitoring our trucks maintenance now very carefully. If any damage is attributed directly to the backwards air filter we will seek legal action. We will be advising all of our friends and business associates of the situation. Hopefully, helping them to avoid damage to their vehicles from Fletcher Tire. read more

He checked out everything from front to back and found One thing wrong and fixed it ASAP. This place is honest, fast, and extremely courteous. WORST AUTO SHOP AROUND! Went in to have a hole put on and a belt replaced. The guy that was checking in customers was extremely rude and seemed to be inconvenienced by me being there. Meanwhile the guys in the garage were all standing around joking and talking while cars are on the lifts. After I get my car checked in, I leave. I was told 2 hours. I called 2 1/2 hours later to be informed that the belt I needed they didn't have and they had to get from another shop and it should be there. They said one more hour. 20 minutes later they said that the hose I needed they also didn't have and would have to get from another shop. 2 more hours. At this time, the cost jumped from around $200 to over $500. I told them I had to make a phone call. When I called back the shop, I told them to stop the work and to put my car back together because I was getting it towed to another shop. The guy on the phone asked me why and I told him because I found someone who will do it for half the cost. He proceeded to laugh and say "whatever" under his breath. When my dad when to pick up my vehicle, we were being charged $89.99 for diagnostic work. HOW RIDICULOUS!!! WORST customer service. WORST prices. WORST shop. DO NOT provide service to this place! They care about money, not about your safety, livelihood, or anything else besides the business. No honest work done here. read more
