Kyle, TX. Don't waste your time!!!! After sitting in lobby waiting for someone to acknowledge I was even there forever I was told it would be a 2 hour wait for a simple oil change. Irritated, but left my car. 2 hours later I come back and my car hasn't moved. Then I'm told there are still cars in front of me. Update....almost 3 hours...car still hasn't been touched. 3 "manager" looking people joking around in bays since I got here. Haven't seen them touch a thing other than the occasional phone call. Estimated 45 minute wait, so I walked to Lowes & returned in 45 min's to see me car in the same spot I parked it in 1 hr 45 mins after I arrived, just finished. Had a tire issue and it wasn't in my home town. These guys at the Kyle, Tx location took care of me! It was near closing and they treated me just like a priority customer. Awesome customer service of making your customer feel valued. The competitor down the street not so customer friendly! The competitor turned me away because they were closing as well....Well actually they put air in my bad tire, checked the spare (in case I needed to change it in the morning at the hotel) and gave me a tire gage, ya a female traveling by herself!! Told me to come back to them on my way back through. Yes they knew I was out of town. Sad part is I even told them I have been a customer with them for over 15 years! They must be extremely shorthanded because there were many vehicles up on lifts, one fellow who never spoke doing something to a tire in a bay, one employee on the phone in the waiting area -- he never looked up or acknowledged my presence over several minutes. My husband does most of our car repairs so we don't use Firestone often. However, I needed to have my car inspected so I stopped in and dropped the car off. Within 30 minutes, they called me back to let me know I forgot my insurance paperwork! I felt so bad but Walker assured me it was no problem and that when I came back with it, he would make sure I was out of there within 5 minutes. I show up with the paperwork and the place is packed. Walker, true to his words, grabs my paperwork, inspects my car, and within 5 minutes it's done! He was sweet, professional, and maintained a funny and warm personality throughout the transaction. It was recommended that I call Firestone for a state inspection. The recommendation came from another business whose inspection equipment was not working. When I called, I was immediately greeted with short, unfriendly answers to my questions. I was told "Well you can't come in today." I wasn't planning on it, and I just wanted to know if their equipment was working and if I could make it in Tuesday after three. (I work outside the home for a living, so I have a schedule to work around.) He said not too late because they stop at 5. It really wasn't what he said but how he said all this, like I was interrupting him or I was an imposition. Excuse me for trying to find a reputable business to care for my car. I'll go back to the other place to see if their equipment is fixed. My uncle swears by Firestone and has been a loyal customer of the company for about 50 years. He will be disappointed. If I could give negative stars, I would. I am back at a different car shop a couple weeks later due to a subtle humming underneath my car. Turns out, firestone installed my new oil pan wrong and oil is still leaking from my car. Despite the massive cost to have it properly fixed, it's worth it, if I know I do not have to come back to this place. Do not come here. This is a bit ridiculous. read more

I put it off another week, and after trying almost every shop in Kyle for my change and a particular filter, I ended up here as my last attempt... The staff here is always professional and polite. My husband and I originally went to another Firestone location to purchase tires for a previous vehicle, and after a good experience decided to stick with the company. This location has been wonderful, and always works diligently to perform excellent service on our vehicles. We will continue to visit this location for our vehicles' needs. Absolutely sickening service. Called half an hour before and asked if the could do an alignment today and they said yes. I make plans and arrange for someone to pick me up only to find out they can't do it until tomorrow. Not to mention they made me wait at the door for 15min before anyone got to me because some employees were too busy standing around instead of doing something productive. Plus there's a 6% labor fee on any service over $25 which they never tell you about. Save your time and go to Goodyear or brake check. Also, their "appointments" mean absolutely nothing. Recently opened, I stopped in for an Oil Change without an appointment. I had an appointment at the Goodyear Tire store in Kyle that morning. After driving to Kyle for my appointment, they informed me they did not have my particular oil filter. The rep informed me I would need to go to a store off Slaughter in Austin. I chose to try the Goodyear on I-35. They said THEY did NOT have the filter in stock BUT would go get one. NOW that is GOOD customer service! They only took 1 hour to do my oil change, plus the checks for water, etc. read more

I went to get an oil change and inspection on my truck. When I go the inspection back, there were a number of small items that would need to be addressed in the relatively near future but there was no pressure that we all dread for unnecessary or untimely replacements. I was also looking for a hard to find part. It was a special part (3rd brake light) that was used only on one year of a Chevy. It was damn near impossible to find online so I asked them to do a little leg work and free of charge they got me the part number. Turns out it's an Escalade part that was used for one year only on select Chevy special editions. It was a pretty expensive part but the crew at Firestone and I discussed my options and alternatives. It felt like a very frank and honest conversation about what my actual options were and I thank every person there for it. Fast forward a week and a half, I can't find my work notebook! I'm looking for this thing everywhere I go. I turned every room I could think of upside down looking for it. After retracing my steps and wondering where I had last seen it, I took a long shot: Firestone? Sure enough, even after a week and a half, they had it. I was fully expecting it to have been thrown away by then. I'm sure another business might have. They didn't go through it or snoop around, though I'm sure they might have before tossing it. I believe the gentleman that I spoke with was named Walker. He was incredibly helpful and seemed genuinely pleased to have reconnected me with my property. There were a few more items in the lost and found. I fully intended to continue using them for my auto care needs as long as I am in the area. I have been going here for the past couple years thinking they were a slow but reliable company. Times when I have had to wait an entire day for a single oil change I tried to look past. Then my tire I purchased from them blew out. I called to make sure that this was a tire I purchased from them. He was extremely rude. He was talking to me in a condescending tone the entire time like I was an incompetent female. He was very short and even refused to look up my information telling me to come in for that. I decided to pay for an entire tire, rather then wait and use my warrantee. So i took it to discount tires instead, who were very helpful and nice. My tire will be done in 30 minutes rather then all day and I don't have to deal with someone having a bad day and taking it out on me for no reason. read more

This place does not want your business. I needed a safety inspection, called Thursday " my tech is not in today you'd have to bring your car in the morning and leave it for a few hours" so the next Tuesday and Wednesday I called again, same answer. So I go there to find out when would be a good time, there are customers waiting, saying no one has even acknowledged our presence. I waited a few minutes, and could see there were several guys working on cars, a couple came together too talk, they saw us, but just ignored us. I then opened the door to the back and asked if someone could help us, "someone will be there in a minute " so back in line, and nothing. We all walked out at once. If you as a customer, supposedly important to business, enjoy being ignored and standing in a lobby in full view of those who are supposed to care, by all means go there. Take a snack. While I was driving near this store my tire suddenly showed low pressure. It was 10 minutes to closing and I needed to drive across Austin to Leander so I called to see if I could stop in and see if they could take a quick look at it. The person who answered the phone said they were closed. Then informed me that his manager said the same thing. I was then told that there was a Wal-Mart across the street. Had an appointment at 8 am on a Tuesday to get my headlights changed. I left the shop around 9 am. Although I waited longer than I would've hoped to, the employees were very kind and offered up water and coffee along with updating me along the way of why it was taking longer and how much more time until it was done, which I really appreciated. I understand sometimes things happen and the wait can be longer than expected and what counts is how the employees handle it and I was pleasantly surprised. I hope next time I need to go in to get something so minor done it won't take as long, but I will definitely go back to them based off of their customer service. read more

Woke up Sunday morning to find a flat tire with a screw in it. Sunday was the only day I had in two weeks to accomplish yard work and chores as I have a 3 month old at home to care for as wife just went back to work. I took truck in to have repair but they were "slammed" and I was looking at 3-4 hour wait. I was stuck without a ride and needed truck for yard work, not only was I losing my truck for the day, more importantly precious valuable time! Luckily they will able to fit me in quick and make necessary repair and I was on my way within 45 minutes I could not be happy with the customer service yesterday and my previous numerous visits. I took my car recently into this location because I had run over a nail and my tire obviously needed repairing. So I took it to the location on South Congress and they tried to repair it but told me that they couldn't fix it and that a new tire would cost $400 so I went to the location on Ben White and they told me they could put a tire on but that they didn't have anything in stock. Both employees I dealt with at this location were super helpful and to the man that worked here, I did try the mint in my coffee thing and it was great. Anyway they told me that the location in Kyle had the tire in stock and that they would call ahead for me that way the location in Kyle would be expecting me. So I drove there and I'm unsure of the man's name that helped me but he went above and beyond. He was able to patch the original flat (He said that the SoCo location had messed up the patch job) and saved me from having to buy a new tire. On top of that he also didn't charge me for the patch job. Now I know that if I ever have any tire problems one of these two locations will be my first stop. read more

Went in for a simple oil change before work and they told me I needed new filters. I agreed and paid for the filters too. When I left, my brakes didn't work!!! Just got brand new brakes and tires not long ago and my brake fluid line is now completely ruined and won't hold fluid!! They told me it would be $200 more just to take a look at it!!! Instead I told them no and I had my mechanic come look at it himself! I had to get it towed to his shop because I refuse to let them take advantage of me!! I always heard the horror stories of mechanics making a leak happen or loosening something to cause a problem and get more money out of you, but never has it happened to me. Sure enough, they messed my brakes up to try and get more money out of me!!! NOT OK!!! I will NEVER use Firestone again and I am canceling my Firestone credit card!! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS PLACE!!! Thanks to these guys I now have a bad oil leak! My Tahoe has always run perfectly. I get regular maintenance done and I baby this truck. Right after leaving this place, I discovered wiper fluid pouring right out onto the ground. When I took it back up to show them, the guy gave me attitude and blamed it on my vehicle saying that the hose must have been loose and the fluid must not have been refilled in a while so when they refilled it, the hose must have dislodged. Well that's funny because we used to live out in Canyon Lake and the wiper fluid would get used a lot because of all the bugs. It never once dislodged any time that I refilled it and I refilled it quite a bit living out there!! Word of advice to this guy on professionalism and customer service: do not try to blame your customer for you or your mechanic's screw ups, simply apologize and fix the problem. So, if that wasn't bad enough, after having the oil changed, I began noticing puddles of oil where we parked. We now have an oil leak just after taking it to these guys and there is no telling how costly this will be to fix. I have not yet taken it to a different place to see what the issue is, but I will absolutely have to in the next couple days so as not to blow my engine! To top this off, the service was bad and the man at the front was mighty rude. Bad day maybe? Still it's very unprofessional. I have taken my vehicle to the Firestone in Cedar Park many times and those guys were awesome and trustworthy. However, this Firestone has very questionable practices going on. If you want to keep your vehicle in the best running condition, find another place. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

This location does not even deserve a one star for what it does with its customer. They are scheduling appointments and when you come in they don't have time for you. I was not the only one. It happened three times to me for the past 3 weeks. I am done with that location. A manager is not available and all they offer you is to reschedule. I had my car in for an oil change. They rescheduled me once already. When they worked on it they told it'll take them about 25 min. I left the store after 1 1/2h. While I was waiting I talked to a lady that waited for her car for about 4h. Another one stopped by to get the state inspection. She called to make sure they have time. When she came to the store nobody supposedly ever talked to her on the phone. I came back because they offered me a free 50 point inspection. This place is a joke. Terrible customer service. The lady working the sales desk was extremely rude to every customer that walked in, including myself. I took my car in for a simple vehicle inspection. I was told the work would take 2 hours so I had someone pick me up. After not receiving a phone call after 4 hours I assumed my car was already finished. When I got back to Firestone to pick up my car she told me my car didn't pass inspection. When I asked why I didn't get a phone call her response was, "I was busy." She didn't apologize then proceeded to answer 2 phone calls before giving me my key so I can leave. If you want poor customer service and terrible work done to your car, Firestone in Kyle is the place for you. I advise staying away from any Firestone business. Made an appointment for 11am 5/26/2018, to have struts replaced and possible brake pads replaced on our 2010 Toyota Camry. Dropped off the car at the appointment time and was told it will be ready in a few hours. At 1:30 we called to check on the status and was told they're still working on it. At 3:12 called back again to see if the car was ready or to get an actual time for pick up. Was told again that they're still working on it, but it will be ready at 5pm. At 4:45 we arrive to pay for repairs and pick up the car, but it was still sitting in the same place we parked it that morning when we dropped it off. Went inside to find out if they'd ever even looked at it and after the service guy Jeff searched for our work order, he came back to tell us that the technician who was supposed to have worked on it, didn't do it and now another technician is going to do it. I was appalled and said we were told not once, but twice that it was being worked on. Then asked how they planned to finish a strut replacement job in less than two hours before closing?! They said they would get it done and apologized. Not even 45 mins later they called to say it would $1440 and they don't have the struts needed so they couldn't do the work until following Monday. Are you kidding me?! We went back and picked up the car and chose another repair shop that got it done Monday for half the cost. We lost two days because of Firestone and the blatant lies they told us when we called asking for the status. Saturday was gone and the next Tuesday taken off work to get the car repaired somewhere else. If they'll lie about small things, they're not honest enough to trust with our cars maintenance or repairs either. read more
